On June 2, 2026, my family did a private Yellowstone Lower Loop tour with @Cody Wyoming Adventures…read more Mike Burns was our tour guide. Mike was great! He grew up in Cody, so he is very knowledgeable about the greater Cody area as well as Yellowstone. Mike answered every single question we asked. He made sure we saw wildlife and even timed our trip that when we arrived at Old Faithful, we only had to wait 10 minutes to see the eruption. Mike picked us up at our hotel and returned us there. It was almost 12 hours door to door. It was a long day but very worth it!!

AVOID THIS YELLOWSTONE TOUR COMPANY AT ALL COSTS…read more If you're dreaming of a once-in-a-lifetime Yellowstone tour, Yellowstone guided tour, or Cody Wyoming Yellowstone tour -- do NOT waste your money here. We prepaid $458, woke up before dawn, drove 90 minutes, and stood in the cold, pouring rain before 7AM on a street corner with no shelter, waiting for this company's so-called Yellowstone National Park day trip. The tour van NEVER showed. We called repeatedly. "Michael" kept brushing us off -- "She's only 2 minutes late... she has other stops" -- and told us to just keep waiting. One full hour in the rain later, we asked for a refund. His solution? "Come back tomorrow." (As if we had nothing better to do than waste another vacation day waiting on a sidewalk.) The next day, they denied our refund. To add insult, the "guide" claimed she drove past us THREE TIMES and had "witnesses." Yet never called us -- despite having our phone numbers -- then blamed us for "missing" the pickup! She even admitted this happens often... then hung up on us. BOTTOM LINE: * No-show Yellowstone pickup * No way to reach actual guide/driver * ZERO customer service -- only excuses * NO refund Save yourself the headache and heartbreak. Choose a reputable Yellowstone wildlife tour, Yellowstone sightseeing tour, or Yellowstone day tour with real transportation, real communication -- and at least a shred of integrity. This company should be ashamed to use Yellowstone in its advertising. Please see the completely unhinged reaction of the owner/tour guide below . We had no conversation with her on the day of the tour . Her reference to witnesses and slander of calling us scammers when she's the one who took our money is truly disturbing.

Didn't have the best experience with the owner…read more The ride itself was fun and everything was good except for the customer service we received. One of the ducky boats our group rented ripped at the beginning of the ride. Not sure why it happened because we were following the guide. When we asked if we could get a refund for the two people who were in the ripped ducky, since they weren't all able to enjoy the ride and only got through 5 min of it, we were told no and that if anything we should be paying for the damage. I don't think that was fair of the owner to say something like that and to not even offer a refund or another ride.

We notified the guide and he just said for them to pull off and get out on the trail and kept going, he didn't stop or anything to make sure they at least got out safely. We kept going assuming they'd get out and get to the van but it had already left, and they had to walk barefoot dragging the boat to the top. I couldn't even enjoy most of the ride worried for my friends. When we finally got out of the water and found the girls, Mike (I assume the owner) didn't even see if they were ok but was pissed and made a comment about how they just ruined a $3000 boat. Again it wasn't their fault that it ripped and on top of that they had to sit out by the road without their shoes phones or anything (we left everything in the van) for 2 hours while we were rafting. When we went to ask if they could get a refund because they absolutely did not get the experience they paid for and Mike told us That not only will we not get a refund but we may have to pay for the boat that ripped, very unprofessional, very upset with this experience! The ride itself went great and had it not been for this experience with the owner it would've been 5 stars for me

What to do for my 600th review? I mulled over several options and checked my bookmarks--when I saw…read morethis, I thought, that's the one! My high school buddy from Michigan told me when we talked in Feb of 2009 that she was planning on going on a Wagon Train in the summer. I was intrigued and asked her if she wanted company and she told me she'd let me know if it was for sure closer to the date. In May she called and asked if I was still interested and I said sure! I mean, who wouldn't jump at the chance to spend a week in the Grand Tetons, under the stars, sleeping in a sleeping bag in 30 degree weather in a tent or a covered wagon, riding horseback part of the day and in the covered wagon the rest of the day, eating food cooked in a chuckwagon, no electricity, no running water, away from civilization. Me! I called the number she gave me and signed up without hesitation. Why hesitate? I grew up watching westerns in the 50's and 60's so this was sort of a "Bucket List" adventure for me. She was driving from MI and I decided to fulfill another long time wish and took the train. We met in Denver where she picked me up and drove together the rest of the way to Jackson, Wy, spent the night in the motel where we were to meet the wagonmasters the next morning and got some rest. At 8am we took the items we needed for the camping and were picked up and transported about a 90 minute drive to the base camp in the mountains where we unloaded and boarded wagons and horses for the afternoon ride. I did the wagon in the morning and rode the horse in the afternoon. Hmmm, oh yeah, I haven't been on a horse since I was 15, let's see 45 years ago. Hmmm. Yeah, I was a bit sore by the time we got back but it was well worth it for the gorgeous scenery. Imagine the quiet! No traffic, no electric lights to interfere with the starry sky so we could see every star God created up there at night. The wranglers did everything--and did it well! They helped us on the horses, drove the teams pulling the wagons, tended to the horses, saddled and fed them, led the trail rides, served our food, talked to and guided us so we would know what to do, informed us on the things we were seeing and tended to those who suffered altitude sickness. And they were perfect gentlemen every minute. kind and respectful, humorous and entertaining. It was obvious they really loved their job, dealing with the people enjoying the wonders of the Grand Tetons, tending to and riding the horses. Some of them had been with this organization for 16 years or so. The youngest was an 18 year old girl! Our group ranged from kids of 10-13 up to a grandmother whose family took her on the two-day version for her 80th birthday! Eight of us were there for the whole week and we became quite close by the end. Four of the eight are now FB friends of mine. The food was excellent--every meal the whole trip! There was such variety and we were very appreciative of each and every delicious dish. Every meal brought rounds of compliments from all for the cook. He even baked a surprise cake for Andrew, whose 11th birthday was in the middle of the trip! I just can't speak highly enough of this organization. It was worth every penny and made for wonderful memories. They made sure we were safe and enjoying ourselves every minute. And they do the same for every group that passes through. If you ever have the chance to go on this trip--jump at it! Here's a link to a YouTube video showing some of the scenery, horses etc. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nuB08XDB6W0

Yellowstone Outfitters - Meal Time was one of the fun parts although all parts were fun. Cooked on a Chuck Wagon and served in the outdoors!
