The showers are coin purchase minutes, something my husband grumbles about, but I can appreciate. We walked down to the primitive camp site and it was very private by the river with many trees. The only downfall, not the parks fault, was a farmer adjacent to the park started mowing at 6 am!? Yes it woke me up!! Grrrr!! However, We felt extremely blessed to have picked this camp site just 40 miles east of Yellowstone, instead of camping in the park where it's colder and extremely populated to the point of feeling claustrophobic! Consider yourself privileged if you can secure a reservation here!

It was better than any hotel we stayed in in 2 weeks, (if you enjoy the outdoors) The location is so beautiful right on a stream, our teepee was spacious and comfortable with a really comfortable bed. Common bathroom was clean and big. Owner/manager very friendly and accommodating. You have everything you need here. We made a trip to Walmart in Cody to get dinner to cook, and took advantage of being in a camping setting, set up a little grill by our teepee, and roasted marshmallows. We can't wait to come back one day.

He took the time to show me how to cast in the back alley and teach me the knots I needed to know. With Steve's excellent tutelage, I pulled my first fly-fished fish out of the Gibbon river, an 8-10" brown trout. By his request, I named the trout "Steve". It's a real pleasure to see a business with such integrity and expertise. (Note: this is an edited version of a "thank you" email I sent them for all their help and advice.)

While we were there our guide showed up and introduced himself. He asked if we had any previous experience and talked about various locations, their conditions and where he thought we could go fish. Per Cody Lodging -Owner decided to not rent out just 30 days before. All air flights are booked, arrangements made etc. and there is nothing the company can do to help. They state there is nothing comparable in their catalog and the only other option is to reschedule. Very little time to cancel, refund, and rebook flights and arrange vacation requests, etc. so I feel thats an unrealistic gesture of options to offer. The only other residence they had they rented and were not willing to move clients around to honor our deposit. It is a risk so beware!! We certainly recommend staying away from the company .
