Their maintenance man helped us with some things on our RV. we used the laundromat and everything was clean and dry within an hour. The bus for the Cody rodeo will pick up at the campground, although we chose to drive our camper over to the fairgrounds where there is free parking. The campground is conveniently located near downtown Cody, as well as the Walmart, Bill Cody Museum and the rodeo. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

We have a 25 ft travel trailer and we used the KOA website to book our stay. The girl working in the check I'm desk gave me a tongue lashing for not providing accurate information. She was unaware that a travel trailer would have a truck to tow it. We were pushed and had to wait 1.5 to get a new site. 2: They only have 6 toilet/shower for each gender. However, they have about many cabins that don't have bathroom and numerous tent camping site. Because of the large volume of use, the toilets were backed up. Showers have long waits. 3: The pool does have a code and the locals take over the pool/jacuzzi in the evening and the paying campers have difficulty using them. 4: No security to enforce any rules. 5: If you're going to Yellowstone, you're over an hour from the park. 6: Don't bite on the car that drives around promoting the local rodeo. It's not a rodeo, it's just local kids. It appeared they were practicing at your expense.

They were loud and disruptive. When the teenagers were leaving the park, they were all running at a very high speed through the park. I was walking my dog and almost got run over by one. I was told that they were allowed to be there. I don't understand how that can be if I'm a paying customer and can't use the facilities then why am I paying as much as I am for a KOA? I stay at KOA's because the quality is generally good unfortunately this one had a bad experience and probably will not repeat a visit there, but will also warn anybody that ask me not to go there as well if they continue allowing this to happen cause if I can't use what I pay for then why pay for it?

I was really looking forward to a shower and washing my hair and so I walked to the women's shower room and the maintenance woman was there and was spraying finishing spraying the place antiseptic and was just leaving and I asked her to leave the door open to provide some ventilation because I have severe allergies and I cannot handle the spray she very nicely said OK and did so and then left, and I chose the shower stall at the very end for privacy and anyway toward the end of my shower I had many cleaning supplies with me, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, razor, etc. and I left the shower door, partly open the screen partly open because of the fact that I was going in and out so often grabbing my supplies and was happily showering and toward the end of my shower, I guess she was watching me. The maintenance woman was watching me, and she suddenly started screaming at me at the top of her voice and calling me a sexual degenerate, a weirdo a pervert and told me I was in exhibition public exhibitionist. I was absolutely shocked and confused couldn't figure out what on earth she was talking about and she ran out the door screaming I quickly finished my shower got dressed, walked out out of the shower room toward my RV and noticed that she was sitting in her utility vehicle watching me along with another man that she had obviously told, and I couldn't figure out what I had done wrong and she was screaming and screaming at me in the bathroom at the top of her voice about not having the shower curtain, not completely closed I no one came in. No one was there. I took a shower the previous night absolutely no one came in. I just couldn't understand what the problem was and she followed me to my RV came over. Knocked on my door, demanded to know my name very, very angry and aggressive. My husband and I were beyond shocked she accused us of not paying and not supposed to be there which absolutely was not true and we prove that and then she asked my name I thought for sure she was going to call the police. She was so angry, and she went and went back to her utility vehicle and just sat there watching my husband and I quickly packed up and left. She followed me throughout the park everywhere we went she followed us. We went to the trash bucket, and she followed behind our vehicle and watched us and then watched us check out. I mean it was just crazy. She's scared both of us. She's the peeking Tom not me. I was minding my own business taking a shower and she must've been watching me for what reason I'm not sure but she just went crazy. She frightened both my husband and I and she kept following us throughout the entire park until we left and I would not recommend ever ever staying at the park with that crazy woman. She turned on a dime she frightened me. She honestly frightened me.

We arrived about an hour before the sunset on a nice summer day. Most of the campsites were occupied, but the sites there are large and spread out, so there was plenty of peace and quiet. I set up our tent and we were happy to see that the tent pad was soft and was not lumpy with rocks. The sun set behind the mountains behind us but there was plenty of ambient light for us to enjoy our dinner. We got ready for bed and we were in the tent as soon as it was dark. The weather was perfectly cold and our tent felt so comfortable. The vault toilets were maintained and running water to wash dishes was convenient.

Negative: the sites are EXTREMELY close together, especially on the lower level along the river. Expect to be looking into your neighbor's living room. No sewer as campground flooded several years ago (apparently creating environmental issues), so you'll need to dump often if there for more than a couple of days. And if you're not an animal lover, this isn't the place for you.
