Horseback riding was the most amazing experience ever! Wyatt, our wrangler, was courteous, careful, knowledgeable and super friendly; my sons now call him their new best friend. My sons have named him their favorite cowboy in Wyoming!

This review is for both the Ranch (as a place to stay) and for the restaurant inside. First, make sure your gps is loaded before you go to Yellowstone and then try to find the ranch. We didn't, and if my daughter hadn't noted the sign as we passed it, we would have drive another 30 minutes into Cody, and then had to backtrack in the dark! It has cute cabins and horse back rides and more. Because we were on a cross country trek and spent the day in Yellowstone and had to make it to Sioux Falls by the next day, we couldn't enjoy any of those amenities. Next time, if we were to spend more time in Yellowstone, it would be a great place to spend more time. The dinner was good if simple, but cheap! We had rib eye and a bison burger. We had to leave too early for breakfast the next day.

This place hands down has the best burgers that we experienced during our vacation to Yellowstone. We didn't realize that they only served dinner between 6pm-8pm but it was worth the half hour wait as we had a cocktail at their bar where I experienced my first huckleberry lemonade - delish! Place was very cozy as it provided a western home vibe. If we ever make it back out to Yellowstone, this will be put on our list for repeat. Thanks for the great food!!

We have had an incredible time at Bill Cody Ranch. The cabins are cozy, comfortable and very clean--look just like the photos on the website. Everyone of the staff have been friendly and helpful--incredible service from start to finish. We tried a few restaurants in town, but the breakfast and dinner in the restaurant at the ranch were the best meals of the trip. The highlight of our entire Wyoming vacation was the four hour Clock Tower Trail Ride through the Shoshone National Forest. Our wrangler, Jackson, was a fantastic guide and host. He grilled us delicious burgers mid-ride for a picnic lunch by the river and was great with all the guests and horses. Gorgeous views of mountains, fields full of wildflowers, and beautiful horses who were well trained for the day. Highly recommend adding a stay at Bill Cody Ranch to anyone planning to visit Yellowstone. Truly a getaway from hectic daily life and a place to make family memories for a lifetime!

Amazing views for the amazing trail rides

Bill Cody Ranch is THE ranch to visit when coming to Wyoming. I've been an employee for a little over a month, and the ranch owners have been nothing but motivating and compassionate towards their employees. It's definitely a fast pace job but with tourists from everywhere in the world, it's to be expected. Even our chef is absolutely phenomenal with his cooking, he takes pride in making it the best and getting it out in a timely manner. And his famous cheesecake is to die for (which is worth the trip in itself!). The amount of care and passion they put into the cabins, staff, and horses is unbelievable. It is undeniably one of the best experiences I have done in my lifetime so far. The view from the horse trails is absolutely breathtaking, not to mention the view when you step out of your cabin. Definitely worth the trip to Wyoming, especially if you're on your way to Yellowstone.

We took the 2 hour 8.30am trail ride and we had a blast. The scenery is spectacular and I had a horse named Alpine who was just the sweetest. The ranch is only 30 minutes from Cody and it's on the way to Yellowstone. For $55 a person it was well worth it. Our tour guide could have been a little more knowledgable on the surrounding area but it didn't affect our ride. We would definitely come back and are considering staying in a cabin next year!

****AVOID THIS TOURIST TRAP****…read more Looking for a breakfast spot and reviews looked promising so I stopped by. With a name like "OUR PLACE" I was hoping for a warm and friendly place with a good home cooked meal. Big mistake, not here!!!! Walked inside and was ignored for a few minutes. Should have just left. Restaurant has 1 server, 1 "helper," and one person cleaning tables. The "helper" was standing behind a host table and wouldn't even look at me or acknowledge me. She was playing with a tall leaning stack or toast. The server finally came by, asked me to wait a minute, and then seated me. I ordered and 30 minutes later the food came. I ordered the bunkhouse which was just biscuits and gravy and a side of bacon. Biscuits were terrible (didn't look or taste like a biscuit) and was BURNT AT THE EDGES! Bacon was in a greasy ball and underneath it was a long strand of hair (not mine). I also ordered a special advertised on their chalkboard - a cinnamon roll. This was nothing special and unfortunately was the best thing I ordered. Avoid this place!

The building is a small log cabin like facility and easy to drive by if you aren't alert. The breakfast menu is very much like grandma's home cooking and we enjoyed everything. Our group ordered Biscuits & gravy, a cinnamon roll, pancakes, sausage and the best extra crispy hash browns I've had, that I didn't make. Service from Janet was super friendly and attentive. If you're in Cody, Wy and looking for a wonderful breakfast, this is the place to stop!

Definitely won our hearts and our tip! -Farmers favorite: 5/5 (pay for a side of green chile pork) Our waitress wasn't lying when she said it was delicious! A bite that's almost farm fresh whole being a hash like consistency makes this bite a delicious one! Soft but slightly crispy while having a rich flavor from the pork. Alone, delicious, add the pork chile verde!?!? Another level!!! Authentic hatch green chile verde to top this makes it a Mexican inspired almost gravy like consistency that just screams in savory and is the perfect match to change up the ole ketchup and hot sauce you'd drop on this kind of a meal. -sweet role: 5/5 Get the sweet role... get it with the home made glaze too! Don't just wait... order it right away before they sell out. One of the best rolls we've ordered together. Definitely worth coming in just for this... plus. It feeds 4 or more. Trust me.... Off season, Irma hotel and buffet are very slow but the food is definitely better than busy season (when tourists show up for yellow stone). Highly recommend the clam chowder. I know Wyoming isn't really famous for any of that but their clam chowder is very good. We ordered the prime rib sandwich, the bison ribs, and the buffalo sandwich/burger. If you don't like heavy meats, stay away from bison ribs cuz it's super heavily seasoned to cover bison's distinctive gaminess. Also it's not as tender as you want it to be. The regular burger and the steak were pretty good from Irma. It's quite consistent. Surprisingly, the fries were very good. Especially the onion rings. Give it a try, for meat lovers, this place might be a pleasant surprise. But if you are looking for more delicate presentation and more distinctive tastes, I will recommend you some other spots around town in my other reviews. Enjoy the wilderness and nature ~

Maybe I'm just used to a meatloaf with more ingredients such as onions, bell peppers and some filler ( most of the time it is oatmeal). The sandwich did have pepper jack cheese and steakhouse aioli that should have lent a little flavor to the sandwich but unfortunately did not. The onion rings could have saved the day for the meal but the onions were sliced too thin and were swallowed up by batter.
