The owners are amazing, genuinely warm and kind people. There was no awkwardness that there sometimes is-- I felt like we were staying at my aunt and uncle's place. I find myself actually longing for an excuse to go back to Cody (I was there on business with a colleague) so I can stay here again. The B&B itself is completely refurbished-- everything is new and clean and nice. The rooms don't have individual bathrooms, but there's a shared one down the hall that is very nice. It's not a huge place (4 rooms), so you're not competing with a lot of people for bathroom space. And best part is, you're walking distance from downtown Cody. Breakfast... let's discuss BREAKFAST. There are so many B&Bs where breakfast is a small, modest affair. Not here. Despite the fact that we had a 7:30 am flight and would be leaving for the airport at 6:30 am, Sondra INSISTED that she would be up to make us breakfast. I can't remember it all now, but it felt like there were umpteen courses.... fresh fruit, fresh waffles, baked goods, etc. All home cooked and all delicious. And then a week or so after we stayed there, they sent us each a postcard, thanking us for our stay and asking us to come back the next time we found ourselves in Cody. Which is exactly what I'm planning to do.

My friend really wanted everyone to stay at the cabins she rented out and I did do so for two days but after watching, all the guests plus the dogs sitting and lounging on the hide-a-bed I was sleeping on, plus 10 people using 1 bathroom I decided to find accommadations in Cody. Kristie at Chamberlin Inn was a godsend. She let me check in early, I had a delicious drink at the bar, while admiring the sunroom, and slept so well. My only regret is that I didn't stay longer.

The rental is basically a single large room with bedroom, dining, and living room. Does have a good size kitchen with full size stove and oven full size refrigerator , microwave and dishwasher. The bed is big and comfortable. This rental does not have stand-alone air conditioner control but we didn't need one during our stay. The cottage does have a couple of fans if needed but the weather during our visit was perfect and we used the fans just at night. The bathroom is full size and plenty of space for everything that a month's stay requires. Owners were very hospitable and friendly. Parking is in the back which is pretty normal for all cottage rentals in the city. No problems with the parking. The only thing I would say that needs improving is the lighting, it was pretty dim from what I am used to, but this seems to be the norm in Cody also as my son's home has the same dim lights. But a few brighter bulbs would make evening reading a little easier. Cottage does provide WIFI and there was no problems with the service. For our extended stay we had use of the laundry room two days per week which was plenty. This would definitely be on my short list for future stays in Cody. Staff were all really friendly. Room was spacious and clean with a modern bathroom. We appreciated the convenience of a restaurant and bar on site. It was very busy, so we were able to just put our name on the list and they called our room when a table was ready. Food was decent. This is the closest gateway town to the Eastern entrance of Yellowstone National Park. It's a good hour drive west to the gate with not a lot in between, so be sure to gas up in town. We also toured Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area which is an hour East. This was the best location for what we wanted to accomplish in the area
