My boys and I stopped in for a bite after the gun fight and had the prime rib buffet. Everything was most excellent. Our waitress was great and the gift shop was really neat!

Very interesting history behind this restaurant. I loved the old feel of the place as you walk in. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I ordered an 8oz steak special that came with a side (I chose a baked potato), and the salad bar. The steak had a heavy smokey taste which was overwhelming. The salad bar was not as fresh as I would have liked. The iceberg lettuce was a bit wilted and the croutons were mostly broken into small pieces. The burger we ordered was good and the sweet potato fries were really good. I would visit again and order a different meal.

Not sure why only three stars. I had the 10 ounce prime rib, mashed potatoes & salad bar. Cooked perfectly also had the golden draft which was good and finished with jack red this was awesome. Great history stop as well with an old register and a collection of guns. Definitely worth it. Meal price wasn't bad $46 for above meal.

When visiting Cody, you really have to stay at the Irma Hotel, the one Buffalo Bill Cody built to establish the town in 1904. The hotel is pretty darn historic, but the rooms have up to date bathrooms, comfy beds and a/c. Our corner King room was on the back, so was pretty quiet and away from the gunfights and live music out front. It was fun to stay in the middle of town where we could walk to restaurants and bars. It is too far to walk to the museum, which covers 7 acres-you will do enough walking there. Prices were about the same as the major hotel chains scattered around town and a whole lot more memorable and included the same amenities. Book ahead in the summer, we only snagged the room thanks to a cancelation.

The buffet was good with a lot of variety. Salad nice and fresh. Decent service for how busy they were.

Food is very expensive and horrible. McDonald's would have been better. Worst food in Cody

The Old Faithful room used to be the garage so it had it's own little driveway and patio..........it was just perfect and it was a bit more private than the other rooms. Although we had our own little patio we chose to use the bigger and more public patio in the back of the house. It was overrun with flowers and birds.....our stay was just a little noisy with all the birds, but it was amazing. Robin and Bob were both very welcoming and filled with knowledge (that they shared) about the area. The stay included 3 dogs that were very friendly and fun to be around. The breakfasts were great! One morning we had eggs, they were steamed and perfect. We also had sausage patties, homemade gingerbread muffins, fresh fruit, orange juice, and coffee. Everything was very well presented and served. We were offered a couple of muffins for the road. On the morning that we had to leave early to go horseback riding Robin made us breakfast burritos for the road. They were very good. This is probably the best place to stay while in Cody. The price was right, the location was great and it was very clean and comfortable.

We actually stayed up late talking to the owner about life. It was one of those nights that you'll remember forever. :) The rooms are extremely clean, the house is SO quaint. The garden is spectacular. And, maybe the best part? They have 3 amazing dogs who were my besties for the weekend: Sophie, Ginger and Coco. I was in LOVE with them. Honestly? If you're going to Yellowstone, why would you stay at a hotel? The Robin;s Nest is the same rate or cheaper, and you get an incredible breakfast in the morning. Speaking of breakfast.... I'm still trying to figure out what was in those pancakes because I was in pancake heaven. We will definitely be back here!

There is a ton of hotels here in Cody to choose from, many franchise type, but this one has a style and charm all its own. We had a clean room, VERY comfortable queen beds, unique homemade furniture that is very beautiful and sturdy. The room itself was big and had a fridge, microwave, large kitchen table and more handmade chairs! No breakfast but that's fine. We were greeted with a smile at check in, staff seemed genuinely happy unlike other hotels We have encountered. This place seemed brand new or newly renovated and we LOVED it!! We will be back for sure.

The lobby is warm and inviting, and several of us traveling together on a photography trip have actually spent time sitting on the couches, drinking coffee and visiting because it is such a pleasant space. My room is large and clean, and the bed is very comfortable. Based on the property itself, I would have had many good things to say about our stay. Unfortunately, we returned from a full day in Yellowstone yesterday to find the door to my room standing wide open. My room is in the section of the hotel where the doors open directly to the outside, so my room had potentially been accessible to anyone passing by for hours. Housekeeping had entered the room while we were gone. The room had not been cleaned, but clean blankets had been left on the bed, and apparently the door was never properly secured afterward. I understand that mistakes happen. Someone could have been distracted or simply failed to make sure the door latched. What concerned me even more, however, was the response when our group leader and I reported it to the front desk. Rather than showing concern that a guest's room had been left unsecured, the gentleman at the desk seemed to dismiss the situation. He suggested that housekeeping probably pulled the door closed, it didn't latch, and the wind blew it open. He then assured us that there isn't really crime here and essentially said that if anything had actually been stolen, we could call the police. As a photographer, I travel with thousands of dollars' worth of camera equipment. Thankfully, I had most of it with me that day, but that easily could have been a very different situation. More importantly, regardless of whether anything was stolen, a hotel room contains a guest's personal belongings and should never be left unsecured and open to the outside. The open door was a serious mistake, but mistakes can happen. What ultimately changed my opinion of this hotel was the lack of concern when I reported it. An apology, an acknowledgment of the seriousness of the situation, and reassurance that it would be addressed with housekeeping would have gone a long way. It's unfortunate because I genuinely like this hotel and there is a great deal about it that I would otherwise recommend. But after having my room left wide open and then having the concern dismissed because nothing happened to be stolen, I would not feel comfortable staying here again.
