Bette & Jerry are consummate hosts with Ed's hearty country breakfasts and doing the little things to make one's stay special. We spent 3 nights enjoying the beautiful ranch and scenery and exploring Cody. Jerry is a delight telling stories and corny jokes which I'll repeat. As much as I want to give an excellent review, I cannot. We stayed in the Teton-themed room and upon arrival, the air conditioning was turned off (very hot day, high 90's) and the room was extremely warm for the duration of the evening into the late hours. The room was dusty, floors not swept or vacuumed, and the bathroom needed some major cleaning (see pics attached). The meeting room adjacent to the bedroom had not been cleaned including dead flies by the window. The people who manage the place were very kind but upon departure, requested that we make sure and give them a 5 star rating. For those of you, like myself, who read the reviews and have a certain expectation, I don't want you to be disappointed. When going on vacation, I don't want to come into my extremely warm room (think attic of a house) and then have to clean and wonder if the sheets were even changed. Where do I begin.... I don't think there are enough words to describe our experience here... We stayed here for 5 nights for our mini family vacation. We went to Wyoming to visit family in Powell (25 miles away). We were looking for a place to stay to accommodate 5 of us without breaking the bank. Having been in the hotel industry for 15 years, one can't help but become a bit of a hotel snob...and all the hotels/motels in Cody weren't really pulling my fancy. So when hubby found K3 guest ranch online, I was intrigued but wary because I've never stayed in a bed and breakfast. And boy, was I glad that we decided to stay here. Driving in was a bit of a challenge, because we got a bit turned around we ended up arriving later than we expected. And no wonder they make sure that you arrived the first time around prior to 6pm. Because the place is really well hidden. You are close enough to town, but far enough away from hustle and bustle. The paved road will end about 1.5 mile away from the house, and you will drive down a graveled dirt road for a bit. You get deer, cattle, horses, pronghorns as company. Coming from a city like LA, this was really a different experience, and I loved it. The night we checked in, we couldn't really see much of the property, because it was dark. But when the sun come up in the morning, that's when you really get a sense of your surroundings. And it will put you in awe of the serenity and expansive land around you. Most certainly something we don't see in the city. 30 something acres of land surrounding a main house that was built by the owner himself 20 years ago along with a glamour tent and a sheep wagon on the sides of the main house. And the details are amazing because one can really see the care they put into turning this into a B&B are notches above others. There is outdoor seating area, fire pit, horse corral, green house to list a few. The service itself is wonderful. From Jerry (the owner), Betty (Jerry's wife), Debbie & Jojo (masters of all departments--they cook, feed and clean up after you), we couldn't asked for a better group of people to spend our breakfast with every morning. They truly make you feel like family, especially Jerry and his great sense of humor. If you are looking for great entertainment along with great accommodation, this would be the place for you. We stayed at the Glamour Tent off to the side of the main house. It's really a tent (soft wall and all) but it has real roof, foundation, small porch, a king sized bed, a bunk bed, a foldable cot, full sized bathroom, and a kitchenette complete with microwave, mini fridge, sink, coffee maker, utensils, etc. the tent will sleep 5-6 people comfortably. It's heated with wall units, also has a ceiling fan, wall a/c. I had thought we were going to freeze our butts off, because the weather was around the high 30's and Mid 40's at night. But the heaters in the tent along the one in the bathroom really kept the place nice and toasty. It was really windy and the wind took us a bit to get used to, that's just because we were 'city slickers'. Every morning breakfast is served in the main house at 8am sharp. And they do feed you good breakfast. Debbie is definitely a great cook. She and Jojo (her sister) will take care of you like family. After breakfast we go about our days, I always sit out on the swing and take in the big open sky and green field like nothing we would find in LA. And my kids will play outside with the residential dog/s. Definitely a great place to unplug and unwind. That's because it's really off the beaten path, please note that cell phone signal and wifi were very patchy. But it got the kids to notice the outdoor more. And that to me is mission accomplished. The Summer of 2020 - we (my wife and I) we stayed only 2 days and nights and had a fantastic time - I do not know what I can add to all the other 5 star reviews of this place. Betty, Jerry, Terry - They are very caring, helpful and genuine people. The breakfast over a wood fire was always fantastic and a great place to meet the other guests. We had the Teton Room (I hope I can add photos). The room had great Western themes. Yes 30 acres! We saw and petted the horses and ponies and dogs. A short drive maybe 20 minutes into Cody, but far enough away to be a great spot and unforgettable experience. Would love to return someday and yes I would gladly recommend this to all my friends. They recommended a tour for our second day and Chris (our tour guide) was great! We saw wild mustangs and a few other animals. We also saw incredible vistas that we were fortunate to have a tour guide to show us. Chris is a wealth of information about the outdoors and truly loves and respects the beauty of nature. read more

Pass on this one! Do not let the old reviews fool you. Maybe 4 years ago this was a great place. Not anymore. Not worth the money. When I booked back in February. I called back within a half an hour to change my reservation from 3 nights to 1. The owner really hyped up the place and claimed some peoples kids like it better than Disneyland. That was a lie. There is no way this place could ever be compared to Disneyland. They took my money right away. and NO REFUNDS are allowed. I think it's because they know how mediocre their accommodations are. The website boasted of horseback riding, fishing, shooting and hayrides. There was none of that. The shooting was available at 89.00 a person. In Cody, WY may have activities to offer but this ranch made it sound like there was plenty to do on site. When I asked about activities for our 12 and 8 year old to do, the attendant told us we could "try our luck" in the non stocked irrigation canal. She also said " if you come and find me I'll let you feed the horses. What? That's it? are you kidding me? The bathrooms had spiderwebs in the shower and the bathroom. The Sheepherders Wagon windowsill had not been cleaned in a very long time and it was outdated and in need of some updating. I cried when I realized that this was not what I thought I was getting in to. We told our teenage sons not to come up a day later than us (because they would have been disappointed driving the 7 hours) and we left a day early. They refunded us 200.00 for the meals our teenagers did not eat but nothing was done about the extra night we forfeited, not by choice. I am being completely honest here. If you have super low expectations, you'll love this place. We did meet some amazing people from Tennessee who also shared in our woes of this place. If you are hoping for family friendly and kid friendly- look elsewhere. If you want quiet, out of the way this is the place. read more

My wife booked this for something different as we went across country. Only giving 4 stars because while we thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay, wanted Jerry and Bette to read this! You're awesome, the breakfast was awesome and the room (Chuck Wagon) was awesome. However, for whatever reason, my wife was under the impression from your website that there were horses/other animals we would see, but learned that to see the horses do tricks, that was a "separate package" with a price associate with it. May wish to make that a little clearer on your website. My wife brought it to Jerry's attention and shortly after offered to take us down to see the horses which again, was awesome and made up for the misunderstanding. One last thing was the TV channels were, well, very limited. Not big TV people--particularly on vacation--but would have been a nice amenity. read more

Jerry is a fantastic host! We spent a lovely night in the sheep wagon/ cabin nearby on his suggestion. My children loved the space and loved Jerry's warm hospitality. Breakfast outdoors overlooking the mountains was fabulous. Today after checkout we ran into Jerry in town- another family (not reachable by phone) had left some items behind at the ranch after checking out and he was going from one tourist spot to the next trying to track them down so they wouldn't leave town without their stuff. Highly recommend this place. It was so incredibly restful to be there, especially after a full day of driving. We stayed in the glamping tent. It's set aside from the house, with a great view and a great sense of quiet and privacy. It is 5min or so outside of town, which for us was perfect. We took walks in the fields and visited the very nice horses and ponies. Really awesome place! read more

Having just finished a two week vacation my kids announced that the K 3 Ranch was their favorite place of all. The accommodations were clean, fun, and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. We were sad we had only booked one night because it would have been fun to spend the day exploring. The proprietors are friendly and just the right amount of helpful. Our only quibble was that we couldn't get the A/C to really cool down our room (but it was really hot). read more
