We stayed in the cabins which seep 2 and they had clean towels in there and an AC fans, and personal lights above each bed. I slept the best I have in awhile. They also have a massage chair in the shower room that is awesome and you can use for free. Highly recommend for a get away or if you're on your way to yellow stone, only con: bring bug spray! Lots of mosquitoes!

It was better than any hotel we stayed in in 2 weeks, (if you enjoy the outdoors) The location is so beautiful right on a stream, our teepee was spacious and comfortable with a really comfortable bed. Common bathroom was clean and big. Owner/manager very friendly and accommodating. You have everything you need here. We made a trip to Walmart in Cody to get dinner to cook, and took advantage of being in a camping setting, set up a little grill by our teepee, and roasted marshmallows. However, if you find yourself in Cody, needing a place to rest your head, this is a very nice place. Its on the edge of town, for me was on the way "in" from the East, and is up a dirt road that you should probably not drive too fast on, but not one with a lot of potholes or anything like that. There are not many rooms here, and from what I understand only single beds, but each room as two of those. Some rooms share a bath, others do not. There are two "houses" that have rooms in them. Communal entryways and a shared kitchen area, which is stocked with a few pans and things like that. On the honor system they provide sodas, I think they were fifty cents each?, and you put money in a jar. There is also a washer dryer, also honor system that you can use. I had not expected this, but was thrilled, as I had been traveling for some time and the laundry was piling up. While they supply soap as well, I used my own. I'm not sure what the suggested donation was there, but there was one, it was more than reasonable, and frankly, its great to be able to do laundry and not have to sit at a Laundromat etc. Each place has a living room, and while there were tvs in those, I did not watch them. There is free wifi. The grounds are lovely, many statues made by the owner, shes an artists as well. She has traveled worldwide, and the influences show in her art work. There is a lama that comes to visit as well, but don't worry, there are cow grates to keep the animals out, but that allow you to drive in and out as you need. They do host many retreats, hence the "shared rooms" and I think they are often full with those. This is a "no frills" place, but its very nice, the couple who run it are terrific and its a nice thing to do that's a little different from the usual hotel experience. I loved this place and would have stayed more than one night if I could. Cody itself is a great town that I also enjoyed. (While it is part of the Episcopalian diocese in WY, you don't have to be a member of the church, or any other church for that matter to enjoy this space.)

We booked Monster Lake Ranch for my daughter's wedding. Despite having over four months notice they…read moreweren't ready for us. We weren't able to set up for the wedding until a few hours before and that was because they didn't have anything ready. We had to clean the place before setting up because nothing had been cleaned. They had my deposit for over four months and I paid the entire balance 30 days before the wedding and yet they still did NOT have the place ready even though I was assured it would be. Because we had to do all of the cleaning and then the setting up I missed out on being present while my daughter got ready. I didn't get to help her into her dress. I didn't get to make memories or take pictures. I was robbed out of many things that day. Also, family stayed on the property and paid full price despite dirty rooms that were t even ready to be checked into until late evening and no hot water the next day. The website promises available breakfast and yet there was no breakfast and the restaurant was closed. They were told it was seasonal; the website says NOTHING about being seasonal. For the first 3 months after booking the ranch for the wedding, I could NOT get anyone to communicate with me. Many emails went unanswered as well as voicemails. When the one and I guess only staff member did finally communicate with me it was to tell me that an entire crew was getting the event center ready. Well that turned out to be one of many lies to come!!!! Nothing was ever done to get the place ready until we did it ourselves, the day of the wedding!!!! Also, we booked the "event center " sight unseen and was promised pictures on many occasions. Never once got any pictures. Then when we finally get there and are taken to the "event center," it turns out to be a huge garage, with no heat or running water. The bathroom facilities were several yards away and if turns out they were dirty and didn't have any towels to wipe hands on. We were out and out lied to many times and I will NEVER recommend this place, at least not with the current staff!!!!!!!

My husband and I found this quaint spot and fell in love with the owner John Hamilton and his dog Chico. The place was immaculate and had everything we needed for our getaway. The restaurant has more classic amenities than ANY restaurant in Cody -- nowhere else will you find cloth napkins. Inside dining is in several Western rustic rooms, and outside dining is on a rustic deck, but the hidden gem is the food. A fairly good-sized menu with everything from steaks to hamburgers, and several fish items (where else will you find rainbow trout on the menu in this area? Nowhere! And Wyoming is known for trout fishing!). Everything we tried on our first visit was outstanding, excellent quality and taste, and very reasonable prices. A good wine list and desserts which vary with the chef's whimsy. We enjoyed the FINEST BREAD PUDDING ever experienced, made fresh with a wonderful crunch. On a second visit two days later, steaks were done exactly as ordered, and desserts were very good! The restaurant is open for dinner from 5-9 7 days a week. Even if you are staying in Cody, it is well worth driving about 20 miles to the very edge of the forest (you will be traveling on the North Fork highway, recognized as one of the most scenic drives in the country) to enjoy both atmosphere and food.

They provide oranges, packaged cookies and muffins, and small cans of apple juice in the fridge. Didn't receive any breakfast bowls that another yelper mentioned, but I expect that the breakfast items change depending on what they have. **CABIN INTERIOR** A simple log cabin. They didn't finish the wood as nicely as they could've - the wood cracks were caulk sealed, but I would've thought they'd try to paint or color the white to better match the cozy wood theme. No AC, but they do provide small floor fans. Bathroom is clean. Beds looked clean, but I unfortunately woke up to some very itchy legs. Don't think they were bedbugs necessarily, but I'd suggest wearing long pants to bed maybe... **CABIN EXTERIOR** The cabins are on the bottom side of the slope coming down from the main road. The showers are coin purchase minutes,something my husband grumbles about, but I can appreciate. We walked down to the primitive camp site and it was very private by the river with many trees. The only downfall, not the parks fault, was a farmer adjacent to the park started mowing at 6 am!? Yes it woke me up!! Grrrr!! However, We felt extremely blessed to have picked this camp site just 40 miles east of Yellowstone, instead of camping in the park where it's colder and extremely populated to the point of feeling claustrophobic! They watched me look on my own for the material but I couldn't find them. When I returned to the front counter for help the assistant manager told me that it was my responsibility to go find an employee and interrupt what they were doing because they had "tunnel vision" while doing their jobs. He even said "watch, I'll show you how it is done." I thought their job was assisting customers. This has been a recurring experience in the 4 years I have lived here. I will be driving to Bloedorn in Powell from now on. There I am told what bay to pull into and an employee is waiting to load my truck.
