This is probably the nicest campground I have ever stayed in. Clean, well kept, endless amenities, accommodating staff, a stocked store for convenience. There are camp sites with individual private dog pens. I've never seen that anywhere! They even have a ball dispenser to buy a ball at the dog park. Pools are warm and clean. Great value and good location. More of an RV and cabin than tent site, but overall value was good. Close to stores, restaurants, etc. Disappointed to see the staff not wearing masks during covid. The bathrooms are cleaned daily at 2pm. During busy season, they should be cleaned twice. There are very few tent sites here. Of those that exist, several are dead center and offer no shade There is a great play area for kids with a pool, trampoline, etc. fire pits are at every site as well as a picnic table. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. They answered all of my questions and gave tips about Yellowstone. The store was well stocked. If I ever need to stay in Cody again, I'd stay here. read more

When I stay at a KOA I expect several things: 1) Quality hookups 2) Secured entry 3) Amenities. This KOA did not have a secured entry. The people were nice enough. But for a $5 fee they allow the locals to use the pool. One of the only reasons we ever stay at a KOA so our kids can use the pool and we know it will be predictable and safe. Open access to the entire public and overuse of the pool by the locals is unacceptable. The pool was completely crowded and we did not enjoy ourselves as a result. We couldn't even get a chair. If we ever come back to Cody I will stay out on the reservoir by the Cody dam. read more

Camp is ok, but on the last day of our stay they were doing painting most of the day about 30 feet downwind from us making it impossible to enjoy sitting outside our RV due to strong paint fumes. The office admitted that they shouldn't have put someone in our location due to the construction, but wouldn't provide any kind of partial refund or discount for not having a useful outdoor part of our site on the last day there. If you stay here don't use the sites near the street. Loud trucks all day long. There are much quieter campgrounds nearby, recommend finding a different place. read more

Eh.... we've stay at KOAs every summer, as we travel across the country. Staff was friendly. Full hookup is always a KOA benefit. Didn't love the locals coming in and out to use the pool. And our site was a parking spot, not a site. We always expect smaller sites, but at least enough room to have a fire. If we had a fire, it would have set the camper next to us on fire. It is also so far away from town and the rodeo. Next time in Cody, we will be staying somewhere else. Just wasn't impressed. read more

They have a "new" section which is a gravel crazy quilt confusing lay out . the sites were too short for the RV and vehicle which had been accurately stated at time of reservation. People were parking on supposed road because the we sites were too small making it hard to get out. read more

This is our second stay here. Lots for the kids to do. Game room, very nice pool (for a Koa), jumping pillow, basketball and playground. I grew up in Wyoming so I am used to the wind. Be ready for that. My kids always make good friends here and loooooove the rodeo. read more

Traveling across the country from the East Coast and staying at multiple KOA resorts (did I mention that I am a KOA rewards member) and this was BY FAR THE WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE HAD AT A KOA RESORT. The customer service was horrible. If I could give ZERO stars I would. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere if you plan to visit Cody, WY. This place is the worst. read more

I am not sure why this campground has such high reviews. Firstly, we booked a premium rv spot. We stayed we have a 43 ft 5th wheel. So we assumed it would be as accommodating as the other koa's we have stayed at. The sites are terrible for big rigs. We literally had to make a 90 degree turn to get into our spot. It took quite a bit of maneuvering, it would be nice if the spots were at a pull in angle. Our camper is literally 2 feet away from the camper in back of us. If they require 90 degree turns to get in, they could atleast make the sites a little bigger. If you have a big rig, I would suggest to get the cheaper sites, they are atleast on an angle. The facilities seem nice enough, there is a pool and several things for children to do. All in all, I don't think we will be staying here again. I think it's meant for smaller campers. read more

Top notch campground from start to finish! They have a legit playground that includes your typical play structure, but also has an inflatable bladder to jump on, self reset bowling, and a basketball court. There is a pool. They also have a play room of sorts. It has the old school ninja turtles arcade game (free) as well as some toys and a little climbing structure for the under 10 crowd. They serve a free pancake breakfast which is pretty cool. The campsite is clean and well maintained. If you go, make sure you go to the nightly rodeo. It was a lot of fun. The kids had a blast! It was the highlight of the trip. read more

I'll be nice and give them a 2 star. We've been traveling for the past 6 weeks in a 22ft Class C. We've done a lot of KOA's throughout the trip and this place was the worst and the most expensive! Note: A $6 resort fee gets added to the bill for a total of $61 a night!! Unbelievable- Yes, there's a cute overpriced gift/snack shop, yes there's laundry (again $$$ $2.50 each dry & wash), the sites are gravel and uneven, they were out of ice, and the pool is cold. I would never stay there again! We didn't stay for the free pancakes. read more

I have mixed feelings about this place. To me, it's overpriced for what you get. One night cost more than three nights in a national forest campground. But we were there in the heart of tourist season having already tent camped near Mt. Rushmore and we really needed a shower. By that I mean, we really needed a shower. So, from that point of view I'd give this place five stars. And we did get free pancakes the next morning which was cool. But our campsite was cramped. No fire pit and we were lucky to get a picnic table. But we did enjoy getting to visit with our neighbors. Bikers who were really nice folks. Shower facilities were adequate and the water was hot. However, the facilities could use some basic maintenance. For instance, the sink faucet was loose, a fix that would take only a few minutes. But everything was clean and well picked up. This is a good KOA if you are traveling with kids. My daughter is 9 and she loved it. The club house / games room actually has stuff kids like such as a wii-u, lego and a play structure. The pool is good with a separate area for little kids and there is a jumping pillow. There is even more like giant chess/checkers board, bowling lane, large scrabble board, basketball court and a 'mining' water feature. In the morning they have pancake breakfast. The sites are decent. Our was a little muddy when it rained but it had shade. We were close to the road but did not notice it too much (we're from the city so are used to background noise I guess). The real boon was having a place you could go on a horse ride. The kids loved this. It's $35 for the hour plus tip for your wrangler and great. We traveled with our dog which was fine. There is a dog park but I mostly walked round the campground with him. There are lots of rabbits running through so you need to keep a strong grip on the leash. read more

Not much grass on the camp sites, mostly rock, sites are a little bit too close together. The pool and other facilities were very good, well maintained. The staff is mostly young kids so the service is not always great. Bingo on Thursday night is always fun. read more

This the worst KOA we have ever stayed at. We made our resevations months in advance. We were traveling with four other couples and requested we be near our group. Upon arriving, we were directed to a horrible site not anywhere near our friends. Headlights from every entering vehicle would have shone directly into our RV. We were offered another spot, also not near our friends. The spots. On both sides of our group were either left vacant or had people pull in for one night & left early. The staff was so unaccomidating and rude, I would never recommend this KOA or stay there again. read more

We absolutely loved the Cody Koa. They had concrete patios with a patio table and 4 chairs, a porch swing, and a fire pit. The only hold back was the young man in the store. He was abrupt and actually rude to people. The ladies in the store were very friendly and accommodating. The laundry and bath facilities were really clean and nice. I booked two sites and unfortunately the night of check in our other party wasn't able to make it due to breaking down. The front desk clerk offered to shift the reservation for them to the next night so we didn't get charged for them not being here the first night. We didn't ask for that but it was offered right away and we had no idea it could even be done! Something as small as this will keep us going back time and time again. They have a morning pancake breakfast that's free from 7-9 and free WiFi. There is a nice pool and a bunch of activities for kids. Jumping mat, bowling, mining and also a dog park with a few things for the critters to play around on. This trip was a great experience and will definitely be back! read more

When I first arrived I was super excited to see that they have a great play area for the kids. A trampoline bouncy thing and swing set. They gave me my rv spot for the night and it was a really pretty spot. It had a nice fire ring, chairs and even a propane grill. We really like this KOA. Employees are friendly enough, but it's the park itself that's the great pet. Close to town, good amenities (2 pools- one for small kids, plus a hot tub/ giant scrabble/ basketball/ giant chess/ cornhole), and they were still serving free pancake breakfast (which our son reviews as "pretty bad", but who cares- they were free and I didn't have to cook them). They also had a van service to the Rodeo, but we didn't use that. read more

This is a good place for a stop in Cody. The spots and roads are all gravel which is not ideal. They recently added a new section with concrete pads. It would be nice to have more concrete outside the RV for outdoor comfort. They do provide a table and chairs which are very good quality. The dog area has much to be desired. It needs to be watered so there is grass vs dried weeds. It is located on a highway which is busy during the day and noisy. We stayed right in the road which was a large contributor which I would not recommend. It is close enough to the downtown area to make it easy to see the local town. The Bill Cody museum is a must. If you are a wine lover check out Juniper wine store and bistro. I wish we found it the first day we were in town. We stayed at the KOA for 2 weeks. read more

Extremely rude owner who over charges for everything and is very short tempered. He made our trip to Yellowstone a downside. We asked for hook ups and were given a spot with no hook ups, when we brought it to the attention of the manager they became defensive, no apology. There were children everywhere that were loud and running amuck. Don't get me wrong I love kids but when I'm on vacation I want peace and relaxation management did nothing about the noise situation when it was well after 9 pm and we were trying to sleep. When my husband was inside the office and joked asking if seniors got a discount the manager got very rude and said if we didn't like it we could leave. Because of this experience we will NEVER stay at any KOA camps Ever Again. read more

We stayed here a couple decades ago and loved it. It was a natural choice for us. Is is so improved we hardly knew the place. Trees are much bigger now. The restroom and showers were very clean, great gift shop and camp store. Camp fire was available and very reasonable. They gave us a ride to the airport to pickup our rental car. They also have a free shuttle to and from the rodeo every night. They have a free pancake breakfast everyday that was very good and we watched them make them. Very clean and fast. We liked it so much we stopped there to gas up our lp tanks, paid to shower and shopped in there gift shop. The concrete pads, camp fire rings and patio furniture was a big plus. Best place we stayed on this motor home camping trip. 5 minutes to everywhere in Cody. read more

Note: it will be closed after Oct 1. Love this campground. The monthly rate is very good compare to other RV parks in this part of the country. There is a small dog park, a kid playground, pool, and many other entertainment areas. The Campground is always clean and quite. Room between trailers is quite big so you can keep your privacy. Only 5 minutes away from downtown Cody. Cons: employees are not friendly in my opinion. One guy was rude with us but I think he is not working there anymore. One employee drove very very fast in the park. read more

Mind you, these were made in January we arrive and they had us spread all over the the place two motor homes and 4 cabins. We never got the spots we were suppose to be. I have been traveling across the country with 2 young kids and love staying at KOAs for the family friendly atmosphere! However, this campground was a big let down starting with the girl who checked me in. She was very unfriendly and rude and apparently had better things to do since she left the desk immediately after giving me the campground info. When I got to my campsite, it was a small area of dust and dead grass separated from the other 4 campsites by a wooden fence. It was covered with trash and coals from previous campers and I should have been paid to stay there since my kids were cleaning up while I set up! read more
