This one hour tour gives visitors a very good orientation, and a lot of info about the town and its founder, Buffalo Bill Cody. I would suggest this tour when you first get here. Both the driver and tour guide were excellent. At the end of this tour you will have a good understanding of the town's history, as well as sights and attractions you want to visit. The trolley travels around the town visiting and explaining many of the historical sites. It also travels outside the town to the Buffalo Bill Dam. Some othesites you will see are The Buffalo Bill Center of the West, the Irma Buffalo Bill Hotel, Main Street shops and restaurants, the Cody Stampede Rodeo grounds, Old Trail Town, and some of the oldest buildings in the west. The Buffalo Bill Center is not to be missed. It is a complex of five museums. It will take an entire day to see all the exhibits. Your admission allows you to visit over two days The trolley is actually a comfortable bus. It has many windows which open.

No matter how long your stay, Cody Shuttle takes care of the details, offering convenient pickup and drop-off at your campground's site. The day we spent with Cody Shuttle, especially our guide Heather, exceeded all our expectations. We set our sights on encountering wildlife and exploring the park, especially the northern part of Yellowstone, having already visited popular spots like Old Faithful. Before we even reached Yellowstone, we marveled at the picturesque landscapes and visited two quaint Montana towns, Cooke City and Silver Gate. We even entered the park via the less-traveled Northeast entrance. Heather was a fountain of knowledge, pointing out wildlife, identifying bird calls, explaining geological features, and offering insights about local plant species. We knew we were in for a treat when we saw a majestic bull moose, its massive antlers on full display. Heather had binoculars and a scope on hand, enabling us to appreciate the wildlife in incredible detail. As we journeyed through Lamar Valley -- the "American Serengeti" -- Heather was always the first to spot the Bison. We saw a vast herd of these "American Buffalo" and their calves often referred to as "red dogs" due to their color, roaming as far as the eye could see. Pronghorn Antelopes were also seen mingling with the herd, a sight that was a poignant reminder of nature hundreds of years ago! Throughout the day, we saw more of Yellowstone's wildlife -- Big Horn Sheep, Mountain Goats, and Elk, often with their young. We enjoyed a fresh and tasty deli lunch at a hotel in Mammoth Springs, a historic district formerly known as "Fort Yellowstone." Heather shared the evolving story of Mammoth Springs. We ended the day with not one, but two Black Bear sightings at different points. We even joked with Heather about arranging a Grizzly Bear appearance, and as we drove on Sylvan Pass towards the East Entrance, there it was, a massive Grizzly Bear! It seemed like every wildlife sighting was perfectly timed, although we know it was pure luck. But we'd like to think that Heather was our lucky charm! By the way, Cathy and Alvin, the owners of Cody Shuttle, are truly dedicated to their service. We met them during our tour; they were exploring the park on a holiday, looking for ways to enhance their tour plans. It's clear they're passionate about providing the best experience for their customers!"

They had snacks, drinks, and a fantastic lunch! We chose the lower loop because of snow and we were impressed! Our guides Heather and Vicki were extremely knowledgeable on everything and answered all of our questions. We had a lot of questions. I know if we were to do this ourselves we would have been lost and not benefitted from the entire experience. We must have saw 25 to 30 different animals, Old faithful, the pools and colors, waterfalls, rock formations, snow, baby buffalo and eagles... Sit back and put the map away... take Cody Guided tours through Yellowstone and enjoy nature. It was well worth the trip! Cathy and Alvin were great too! Cathy helped set up the trip. And Alvin made sure everything went well!

AVOID THIS YELLOWSTONE TOUR COMPANY AT ALL COSTS…read more If you're dreaming of a once-in-a-lifetime Yellowstone tour, Yellowstone guided tour, or Cody Wyoming Yellowstone tour -- do NOT waste your money here. We prepaid $458, woke up before dawn, drove 90 minutes, and stood in the cold, pouring rain before 7AM on a street corner with no shelter, waiting for this company's so-called Yellowstone National Park day trip. The tour van NEVER showed. We called repeatedly. "Michael" kept brushing us off -- "She's only 2 minutes late... she has other stops" -- and told us to just keep waiting. One full hour in the rain later, we asked for a refund. His solution? "Come back tomorrow." (As if we had nothing better to do than waste another vacation day waiting on a sidewalk.) The next day, they denied our refund. To add insult, the "guide" claimed she drove past us THREE TIMES and had "witnesses." Yet never called us -- despite having our phone numbers -- then blamed us for "missing" the pickup! She even admitted this happens often... then hung up on us. BOTTOM LINE: * No-show Yellowstone pickup * No way to reach actual guide/driver * ZERO customer service -- only excuses * NO refund Save yourself the headache and heartbreak. Choose a reputable Yellowstone wildlife tour, Yellowstone sightseeing tour, or Yellowstone day tour with real transportation, real communication -- and at least a shred of integrity. This company should be ashamed to use Yellowstone in its advertising. Please see the completely unhinged reaction of the owner/tour guide below . We had no conversation with her on the day of the tour . Her reference to witnesses and slander of calling us scammers when she's the one who took our money is truly disturbing.

I arrived at the location at 6:52 am, saw the van/driver parked and I found a spot to park. By this time, the van was driving off at 6:55am! I called the main number 3 times, got voicemail and a 2nd number to call. I called Michael at 7:02am to make sure they were coming back. He chuckled at me and said, "It's only 7:02, there are multiple vans" so I and two other passengers waited. We ended up making multiple phone calls to Michael and he could not tell us what was going on or why no one was coming back for us. We finally left at 8am. We waited for an hour, and never saw another van like the one I saw when initially pulling up. Now, the owner Sunny will not refund our money and is making up lies about circling back 3-4 times and couldn't find us. That she has a van full of people who signed affidavits stating she did this. We were on the corner, able to see the main and side road the whole time. That did not happen. Just refund our money, admit there was a mistake made. Be professional. Look at the 1-star reviews on Google. Seems to happen fairly often.

Along our tour, we saw a bald eagle, many buffalo, mountain goats that were right next to the road, elk and deer. Dale was shocked that we didn't see any bears that particular day because they are so common. We saw waterfalls, canyons, geysers and way more.
