l feel so comfortable with Dr Gollinger, and trust his exams. I continue to use him even though my vision insurance isn't accepted. I have had "in network" providers give me incorrect prescriptions too many times. I also appreciate him introducing me to Melissa, who was also very knowledgeable and measured my progressives for a perfect fit! When I picked my glasses up, Chelsea went out of her way to make sure my glasses were adjusted properly for the way I like to wear them! I can't imagine there being a better Eyecare practice than Monroe Family Eyecare. You can use your VIsp Eyecare plan to get glasses or sunglasses. Horrendous experience here! Disabled individuals, children, the elderly - any sensitive population be forewarned. The reception/admin staff are aggressive, mocking, and rude. I had repeated contact w/them because they are flippant and inconsistant w/info provided, then they became condescending and abusive in having to resolve the problem and made an unbelievable, childish, spiteful gesture in the end. As if the office staff were not bad enough- to top off the entire experience, the doctor actually took time out of his day just to make a phone call in which he lead me to believe one thing, then did another, hoping I wouldn't call him out on it I guess. I'm so tired of dealing with this office that I am cutting my losses and just notifying my insurance company and leaving reviews. Definitely not a family eyecare center, that's for sure. Beware. ***Hmmm. Brad G. is awful quick to make a comment on his daddy's poor review to try and save face but did he call me personally or make any effort at all to offer an actual apology? In regards to the call he refers to in his comment... I got a call from that doctor, but the results were unkind, to say the very least. I was a client of Dr. Feldman for 25 years. I loved this practice. Once Dr. Feldman retired I transitioned to Dr. Todd Punim which I had a good experience with. He prescribed a lens for the computer and reading. I had difficulty seeing but attributed it to the new type of lens. The lens popped out and when I brought them in for repair it was discovered the prescription on the lenses were not filled correctly. They remade the lenses and I was given back my glasses. The lens popped out again. After the 2nd repair I requested a different frame and it was approved "this one time". When I returned to get fitted for a new frame the technician discovered the frame was broken, so I said I would reuse the lenses with a new frame (same style). Once again the lens popped out so I went to the office to get the new frame. The technician was rude and argumentive. Dr. Aaron Punim lurked at the desk and allowed her to treat me in this manner. After reminding them I was not trying to scam them and my family have spent 10s of thousands of dollars at their office, they finally agreed to give me the new frame and lenses. I requested someone other than the rude technician provide my fitting. There was an issue getting the lens made and it had to be changed to a bifocal (all done over the phone). When I went to get my glasses the same rude technician provided my fitting with Dr. Aaron Punim lurking near by. It once again turned into an unpleasant situation and Dr. Aaron Punim decided he would take over. He was rude, condescending, refused to allow me to speak and told me he was so close to asking me to leave. I no longer recommend this office. read more

Dr Feldman makes his patients feel as if they are family, family who he like! HIs approach is relaxed and thorough, listen and goes about the testing needed at the same time. He brings experience and care to his profession, not a mechanical tech approach with a time limit on how long he can only spend with a patient. When you are his patient, that is all that seems to matter in the world right then. The outcomes as to refraction results are spot on. I took my entire family here for our eye exams- me, my husband, and our 11 year old daughter. We also had our 1 year old with us and she enjoyed the nice play area. Dr. P is awesome! He explains everything in plain terms that are easy to understand. The rest of the staff was also very friendly and accommodating. I'm a middle child so I do t like to ask for things and be a bother. They totally anticipated all of my needs (itemized receipts, staggered appt times for the fam, benefit explanation) so I didn't have to even ask for anything! We will definitely be using monroe family eye are for the rest of our lives!! read more

Dr. Gollinger and the staff at this facility are amazing!!! I have been seeing Dr. Gollinger for a few years now and his knowledge base and demeanor are incredible! I have referred my friend to him- who had an extremely difficult eye situation and he took time to figure it out for her and try new contacts and help her with something her previous eye doctor neglected/did! She has now brought her 5 year old daughter to him and her daughter raves on how amazing he is! Wonderful wonderful wonderful experiences here- will never go anywhere else!! read more

I did not use the doctor at this establishment, merely brought my prescription in. The staffer let me take my time in choosing a pair of glasses and then took a deposit and that was it. The problem was later. They gave me the glasses, which I was quite excited about, and I noted that there was a weird distortion at the edge of the lens. It turns out that the reading zone of my progressives was way too high up and I have trouble seeing in my peripheral vision. The glasses are really useless, I need a smaller lens. Plus they are way too large and don't fit well. I've been back once, and the clerk merely twisted the frames so that now they're at a ridiculous tilt! I feel like taking them back, the price was exorbitant, and I'm not happy. EDIT: well, after much deliberation and waffling on my part, my husband reached out and alerted them i was unhappy. they reacted with all due speed. i went in and tried some alternative frames, but was not thrilled. and right then and there, they refunded my money. i was impressed at the way they handled me, with patience and respect. though i won't be returning, i'd totally recommend them as a result. read more

I really liked the Optometrist (Gollinger)i saw very much. However the women at the front sat chatting when I first got there (to each other- not on the phone with patients) I had to do the "stare" to even make them acknowledge my presence. That was strike one. Then speaking with some of the women in the lab (I am not sure why they call it a lab- they take 7- 10 days to make glasses so they must send them out to a real lab) But one of them was really nice- Others awful and rude. Today at the time I picked my glasses up the one woman was very nice- But a couple of them were like JHS kids, glaring and eye rolling and snickering. I was going to return for some tests and a couple of new glasses but will go elsewhere- I would not ever walk back in that horrible place again, no matter how nice the Optometrist was. Also a nice woman Mrs. Punim works the phones- who was really nice, but it isn't worth it to have to go back there again- I felt like I was in a high school bathroom and the clicks (only in this case around 55-60 year old women) were trying to act all cool or tough. It was ridiculous and i just wanted to laugh. The nastiest most obnoxious and rude one had a medical collar of some sort around her neck- she had to have been at least 60, and it constantly amazes me when older people and injured people no less, behave in such a rude and immature and cruel manner. As a business owner I find it unacceptable for anyone to be hiring people like this to work with the public when they should be in the back somewhere with no contact with customers. read more
