My son came here for the lasik procedure. He loved the overall experience! The consultation was super helpful, they gave him a clear idea of what to expect and answered all his questions. The consultation was maybe 30 minutes, and the actual procedure didn't feel long at all, maybe 15 minutes tops. Afterwards, his eyes felt a little sore and sensitive, kind of like having something in your eye, but not unbearable. The soreness started easing up after a couple of days, and he experienced little hemorrhage. It had taken about 1-2 weeks to fully clear up. Nothing too crazy though--it all felt very manageable! He's so happy to not have to deal with glasses getting dirty, scratched up, heavy on his nose bridge or fogged up. He feels free and His eyesight is now 20/15. read more

I had my lasik done last Halloween. Following the surgery I had issues and was interested in coming in for an appointment. To my surprise the doctor was trying to save me a trip and not come in - however I wanted to get checked. When I did come in the service and care for my concerns was discouraging and I lost a trust for even going back to them for my concerns. The doctor set me up for a follow up for "a month or two" which left me to pick the date. They never called to confirm my appointment which was odd for them - which also showed me that I no longer felt comfortable going to this person. I will give a 2 only because the other staff was nice and helpful and for lasik surgery it is a good price. read more

2 years post lasik, severe dry eyes was told my surgery went fine no complications done by Dr Conti, as i called 100s of times and had multiple check ups i was held up with poor care and no treatment, told to see another doctor when they were my referring doctor, to this day i am in pain daily with terrible blurry vision.. this place ruined my life! read more

I got Lasik done here at the end of 2022. I started with the free consultation, in which they did a great job explaining the Lasik process to me and gave me a packet listing all the details. Once I was sure, I booked my Lasik appointment. The day of starts with paperwork and payment, which took less than a half hour. They also provided me with a care package: antibiotic eye drops, dry-eye eye drops, supplements, protective eye-wear for showering and sleeping in, and sunglasses. The procedure itself was so quick - less than 10 minutes total. First, I was given numbing eye drops, and then I went under 2 laser machines. After the first one, my vision did go blurry, but that is normal. After the second machine, I could see more clearly immediately. I took Tylenol immediately after as suggested and napped when I got home. I went back a few days later for my first follow-up appointment. They said everything looks good (20/20 vision), but that my eyes do look dry (common side effect). In my follow-up appointments over the next few months, my eyes were still dry. They encouraged me to get an ointment to apply nightly and suggested I get a humidifier (since it was winter, the air was pretty dry). They also gave me a few free samples of more hydrating eye drops. In my last follow-up appointment with them, they said everything else looked great and to continue with the eye drops and ointment. It has been over 1.5 years, and my eyesight is still great! The dryness improved significantly about 4 months after the procedure. My eyes do still get a little dry occasionally, but it doesn't affect my daily life. I had a regular eye exam at the end of 2023, and my eye doctor said that everything looks normal and healthy. Overall, I am so happy that I got Lasik, and this process has been pretty smooth thanks to Lasikplus! read more

Everyone in my family has had glasses. My mom had glasses and she had Lasik eye surgery and so will my aunt. Unfortunately, I can't have the surgery because my eyes haven't fully developed yet but, I will soon. However, I've heard plenty of great comments from this center. If you're feeling nervous about your consultation, don't worry. Once you come in there's a cute bar with lots of hot beverages to choose from. I had hot chocolate and it was so rich. The whole office is so clean and alongside that, it smells great. Everyone in the office is extremely helpful and polite, they'll make your experience the best. My aunt had her consultation today and she was a bit nervous but, she seems to be more relaxed now. I'm so happy for her and I'm so glad she picked this center to have the surgery. Let go of the contacts and glasses and see freely here! My aunts surgery was scheduled after the consultation. Angel is an amazing person and helped through the whole process before starting the procedure. He calmed down my aunt so she would be relaxed and ran down all the things she would have to do after the surgery. The whole team at this office is amazing and there so attentive. I asked the front desk about it and they said oh they're all just follow ups. Why even have us schedule appointments then if you're not going to honor them? "Iiiii saw the sign, and it opened up my eyes. I saw the siiign" ...but really!! I can see signs!! With my own eyes!! No lenses, no glasses!! I had my procedure completed last Friday afternoon. The wait time was a bit long as 7 people completed their procedures before me, but the time in the actual OR was not more than 15 minutes! Dr. P is SO kind, relaxed and gentle. His techs are equally as sweet. They walk you through each step so you know exactly what is going on. The actual procedure was completely painless for me. It was over before I knew it. I am still blown away by the fact that I went from not being able to see at 20/400 (my vision was pretty awful) to seeing 20/20 at my post-op appointment the next day. I am still experiencing fluctuations in my vision, but that is to be expected. It is still the best decision I have made in my life even three days out. Just follow the post-op care instructions very carefully so that you can give your eyes the best shot at healing properly. My boyfriend will be getting his procedure done at the same office next Thursday and then we will both see signs! read more

I am writing this review 3 days post-op from getting Lasik surgery. My review is both personal opinion, and truthful to how I personally experienced the procedure. I have both pros and cons to list, but will start with the pros. Also to mention, I had Dr. Leon Aleksandrovich as my Lasik doctor at the Paramus, NJ office. PROS: I can see! I went from wearing thick-lensed glasses, and wearing glasses since I was very young... to being able to see almost instantly with every day getting better. It's not even that I can just see a little bit, I can see (very clearly) all the way down the hall at work. I can see the clock on the wall across my living room. I can see street signs and cars license plates far down the road. I used to struggle with all of that, even with glasses on... but with glasses off? Forget it, I couldn't see a thing. Without glasses, the world was a blur of colors and shapes. Even when I put my glasses on, I still had difficulty with clarity and seeing anything far (I also had bad astigmatism in both eyes). Lasik is literally a life changer. But anyway, back to the whole process of Lasik and the pros. The doctors and people working the front desks were very nice for my consultation, day of procedure, and my post-op appointment. Everyone made me feel welcome, not rushed, and answered questions I had. They were also very accommodating in terms of appointment times. The centers I went to were also very clean, which I appreciated (Edison NJ for the consultation, and Paramus NJ for everything else). MY BEST ADVICE TO ANYONE THINKING ABOUT LASIK: The gift of sight is worth any kind of pain or unpleasantness you may experience during or after. It was worth the time, the money, and everything else. Take the Tylenol PM they give you before surgery, and I recommend immediately after (like when you get to your car, or when you get home) eat a granola bar, drink a lot of water, take more Tylenol or advil, and rest. Sleep if you can (trust me, you'll want to). I planned my surgery to be on a Friday so I could relax the rest of the weekend, which was also a good idea. Use your Blink eye drops as often as you can... even if you feel like you don't need them and your eyes are moist, put a drop or two in each eye regardless. It helps your eye heal, but also makes it feel better. Everyone reacts differently. You may be absolutely fine and not need advil, who knows. You won't know until it happens, but again, I highly recommend Lasik. The gift of sight is worth any kind of pain or unpleasantness you may experience during or after. I am 25 years old and I get to marry my fiancé later this year. Because of Lasik, I will now get to walk down the aisle without glasses or contacts. CONS / MY EXPERIENCE: I had a lot of discomfort and pain during surgery (to be expected, it is EYE surgery). They did put numbing drops in my eyes a few minutes before it began, but the pressure was intense and everything around your eye is not numb, obviously. There are 2 machines you lay under to complete the Lasik procedure. The first one was the worst in my opinion. I have to keep this review 5k words or less, so I can't describe the entire procedure. But I experienced a lot of pain in my eyes after I went home. It felt like someone sprayed pepper spray into my eye. Eventually, my fiance called the doctor and they said to give me more advil. He gave me a snack, water, and more advil which eventually kicked in and the pain began to subside. I am glad I was home all day Friday, and I spent most of the weekend home just relaxing. Again, the gift of sight is worth any kind of pain or unpleasantness you may experience during or after. Remember, everyone reacts differently. Fantastic group of people. From the time I first came in to my initial consultation until the time of surgery, I felt not only welcomed but fully informed. The staff all went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable with the decision and zero trying to pressure me (not that I needed any as I was going to do it!!). Dr. Fox was awesome in making sure I was a great candidate. And Dr. Conti was a fantastic surgeon. Felt almost nothing! An amazing experience from start to finish. Two weeks before my procedure I went in for a through consultation that took an hour. I did not feel rushed or pressured. Everyone was so informative and they explained all the exams and the procedure allowing me time to ask questions. I scheduled for two weeks later and was able to snag the first appointment of the day. I arrived at 8am and was given some consents to sign, took an exam and was then taken into the procedure area. I was given numbing drops and the doctor came into to see if I had any questions. At 8:15 I was brought into the procedure room and by 8:25 I was done!!! I had some anxiety, but the team reassured me and explained everything every step of the way. Completely pain free. The people here were all very nice and the procedure went smoothly. They were able to scheduled me right away and schedule the follow up quickly as well. Got 20/20 vision now, and it didnt hurt... ovo~ except my wallet took a pretty big hit. My vision was -1.75 and -2.25 (contact), so not bad. Very slight astigmatism on one eye. The total cost was still just shy of $4k with their $800 discount for scheduling a checkup with them... The one thing that brother me was when I first got here and are signing the medical form, the last page was actually an application for a credit card?? The worker did stress at me to read carefully before signing... but... thats really threw me off. One other small thing, during operation day, my appointment was at 3:45pm but my actual surgery was at 5:30ish, i just sat there and waited. Not a big deal but probably could have schedule it better since I took time off work for it. Aside from those two things, everything was good :). My eyes healing well~ so Im glad I choose this place. P.S. as a heads up, they include these "blink" eyedrops 8 boxes for used after lasik. I just had my procedure yesterday and today I already have 20/20 vision! My mind was blown when I was asked to read that last line, you know- the one that you wish you could read but knew that it was just never going to happen so it wasn't even worth trying. Well I got to it and was actually able to this time! The procedure was so fast that I didn't even have time to be nervous. Aside from the beginning where they pry your eyes open I didn't feel a single thing, not even a little pressure. The best way to describe my experience is I laid down, saw some bright lights, moved to another chair, saw some more lights, and then it was over. I did feel a burning sensation on the drive home but I took a 3 hour nap and woke up without any irritation. This was the best decision I ever made. I started looking into Lasik Plus in 2018 and came for their free eval then. After the eval I continued to thoroughly investigate them and lasik procedures and decided to do the procedure late January 2020. Dr. Fox and Dr. Conte saw me at Lasik Plus in Paramus, NJ. Yesterday they evaluated my vision and told me I was a candidate for Lasik. After that they also informed me that they are using a a new laser and continue to use the best equipment in the market. They informed me what to expect. I was a bit nervous but they answered my question and the process was quick and painless. The recovery (as of the second day) isn't bad. I wanted to write an update because it's been over a year and I still think LasikPlus was one of the best decisions I've ever made. My vision is still better than 20/20 and I love being able to travel and not think about packing glasses and contacts and solution and a case and an extra pair... My eyesight is great (I love to challenge people to "Can you read that?" and point to something really far away - I always win) and I really can't help but be a huge fan of LasikPlus. Another friend of mine had her surgery done by Dr. Petonelli in another LasikPlus location and is also really pleased with the results. Commuted from NYC to this location for a 'week' follow up (did my surgery in Chicago). The staff here is so friendly even friendlier than the ones in Chicago. Shout out to Victor and dr. Grace. (I think). It's been about a month now and I told the doctor about my dry eyes in the morning. She told me it could be because I sleep with my eyes slightly open and recommended me an ointment. Sometimes I also have a hard time seeing things super near (I have to increase the font on some documents on my laptop, decrease resolution) and she told me that my Chicago office didn't send them all the paperwork ... so she went ahead and examined them herself and told me my left eye is drier than the right. Hopefully the ointment will help with waking up with dry eyes and help me focus on small print documents for work. As I was about to schedule my 3 months, they told me to call back 1.5 months, bc their scheduling system wasn't open for march. I told Victor, could I have a copy of the paperwork I signed (VISX laser with lifetime warranty) - just to have it... he saw that the Chicago office didn't upload them electronically. So he gave me a unsigned copy for reference. Overall great experience. I don't mind the 1.5 hour commute I had to do to get there... but Will write a separate review on my lasikplus experience in Chicago. read more

Preoperatively Dr. Fox walks you through the procedures, explains the risks and benefits, and makes sure you truly understand what you do after the surgery. She is truly passionate and understanding. The actual correctional surgery with Dr. P was very quick. Most of the time in the "OR" is doing a time out and verifying all the numbers for your eye. This is a review on waiting time. I have been in the waiting room waiting for my name to get called to the procedure room. I'm not sure what the point is if scheduling me to arrive hours before just to sit in the waiting room. In my opinion, in strongly believe they need to figure out a way to make their scheduling and patient check in process much smoother and not having to take so long. There are about 20 people here (some are just the chauffeurs) and when each one goes into the procedure room, they're out in about 10 minutes. Why must everyone waste their time sitting in the patient room? It would be much better if I'm able to just rate the wait time here on Yelp but unfortunately I can't so this would have to be all. read more

I had a great experience with LasikPlus and Dr. Conti in early March! I was very nervous during the procedure, but it was entirely painless and only lasted about five minutes. However, I did experience quite a bit of pain (burning and uncontrollable tearing) for about four hours after the procedure. I appreciated that Dr. Conti called later that day to check in and I was able to confirm that the pain was entirely normal. By the next morning, I felt mostly better and I have had no issues with the recovery since. I am 7 weeks out, and I have noticed no side effects other than occasional dryness, which is not nearly as bad as the dryness I experienced with contacts. The post-op visit confirmed that my vision is now 20/15 (better than 20/20)! I appreciated that the pre-op and post-op appointments were very efficient and that LasikPlus was upfront and transparent about the costs of the procedure. Overall, the few hours of discomfort are definitely worth it! I am so happy I did the procedure and I highly recommend the LasikPlus team! read more

Wow where do I even begin? I've heard from many people that the best surgery they could ever do was Lasik. Well, they were right. The process from beginning to end was easy, comforting and thorough. From the time I called to make an appointment (which I had to do a few times because of my own conflicts, but every time I did, the administration team had my info already up in the system) to the initial eye exam, to the actual surgery, everything was organized. Did you know they have a payment plan for this surgery now? I didn't either but was super pleased to find out they did. Had my procedure done about 3 wks ago performed by DR. Conti. Great staff. they make you feel very welcome. They answer all your questions making you feel a bit more at ease. I had my mine done on a Friday to rest over the weekend. Honestly experienced no pain really went home slept for a few hours as instructed. Your instructed to put drops in your eyes 2 different kinds every hour the other one every 2 hrs along with pills to help the healing process, 2 times a day. If your tired of not seeing so well give LASIKplus a visit, free consultation! The procedure is not covered with insurance but if you have insurance they give you a discount $800. I came in for my free consultation and they were so informative and everything went along with ease. I scheduled my appointment for a few weeks later. The morning of I waited about 10 minutes before I went in to set up my payments, go over the instructions again, and less than 10 minutes from there I was in the operating room. The entire procedure took about 10 minutes. I went home to take a nap and I woke up with a small glaze in my eye but I was able to see perfectly. I had a pretty frustrating experience at this location back in July of this year. I had told my doctor at the original consult that I have some topical allergies for which the ingredients would have to be checked in the eye drops used but it was never handled even with two weeks notice. I was assured multiple times after I had called to verify that the drops were checked since I was taking off of work (I work with animals and didn't want to risk getting hit in the eyes after LASIK). I showed up at 7:45a for my 8am appt, they ordered the wrong drops and had asked me to reschedule, I asked if it was possible for me to pick up the prescription drops at a local pharmacy. After being told "no" a few times the I'm house Optometrist had written me two scripts and said I probably would not find them. I found the drops (individually each time) this was so frustrating because I had been prepped for this procedure at least 4 or 5 times and each time told they couldn't go ahead with it. After I finally had everything handled for them, it was 3:30pm and their laser went down and needed to be worked on by an engineer.... Angel, the receptionist at this location, was absolutely wonderful and had helped me the best he could. I ended up making an appointment with the Mount Laurel location that was I could have the procedure done at the end of the week instead of further out. I did not expect such a run around with this location when I had taken my boyfriend for his LASIK procedure the year before. read more
