I found Dutch's recently after it was suggested to me by a friend who saw glowing reviews on the Nextdoor app. This place is in my neighborhood so I decided to check it out. I recently received from my usual mechanic a pretty outrageous seeming quote for some work I needed done, I decided to get a second opinion and quote to compare pricing etc. this is what brought me into Dutch's. I instantly felt comfortable in their space and talking to their staff. They were up front with me and told me they don't price match but they are honest and fair and their aim is to make their customers happy and do good work. I really liked this approach from a mechanic. It seems so simple but I am not sure in the last two states I have lived in have I ever felt like I could trust a mechanic from my first meeting. I decided to schedule to have the work done here instead of my usual mechanic... the cost for the work was almost $200 less than I was originally quoted! I am so glad to have found Dutch's and I will be going back to get more work done on my car very soon!

A pleasant experience at an unpleasant time…read more Major car issues due to the extreme weather of early 2019. The car wouldn't start and needed to be towed to the garage. We found Dave and the team at Courtesy to be very helpful and helped us to determine the issues and find solutions. They were busy but were able to fit us in. I spoke to Dave several times as the diagnosis progressed. We discussed different options and talked about ways to ensure that the car was safe and to save money. I feel that Courtesy went above and beyond what I would have expected. I am happy to have found them.

I have used them for oil changes, exhaust system problems, and tire repairs. Most recently, since I bought an EV, I had my car towed to Seversin's after flying off the road and getting a flat tire in a snow storm. On a weekend. They talked to me on Monday, and told me to wait. Called me Tuesday and said the tire held air and didn't need to be replaced ( they could have lied and charged me for a new tire...I was totally convinced the tire was ruined). When I picked up the car, I asked, "How much?" No charge. I have had a different tire torn previously, and they replaced it within two days and charged less than $300 for the new tire and labor. These guys aren't fancy but they're honest and timely. They also allow use of their outside air hose absolutely free! You can trust them.

The staff at Waynes Automotive are great, they even have a shop next door for your mechanical needs. Feeling lazy? No problem, they'll pump your gas if you park in the first pump in front of the door. For an added cost of course. Anyway, the prices are not much different from other gas stations and I'd say it's sometimes cheaper at Waynes than other gas stations. They also sell gift cards.

I got to Madison, WI and needed the car fixed. I was terrified of being taken advantage of. All this was foreign to me as I did not have a car for most of my life. I called around to MANY transmission shops. When I found Midwest Engine Service I knew I was in the right place. From the get go, I was reassured by the kind voice on the phone. I spoke with the owner, Wayne. He went over the issue with my transmission top to bottom. He spoke in laymen's terms, so I actually understood what he was saying. Not only did I feel comfortable trusting Midwest Engine, they gave me the best quote and fastest turn around! Wayne kept me informed step by step, as I was still trying to finish my roadtrip. It seemed I needed a new axle, so I added that to the work order. Again, Waynes' thoughtful words and actions helped keep me at ease. When I got the call that the car was done, the price was even lower than the quote. This included the axle as well! I was so happy with the quality of work, the service and the trusting comfort they gave me. I was able to get back on the road the next morning. Finally, I was leaving Madison. As I was driving out of town that following morning, I got a call from Wayne. I instantly thought he was going to say they needed the car back or something. Why else would they be calling? It was Wayne. He called to make sure the car was running smoothly and that I had made it out of town ok. He then told me he also called to wish me a safe rest of my trip. I felt blessed. Paint parking lines- I wasn't exactly sure where I was supposed to park 2.) Post wifi details/instructions somewhere in your waiting area 3.) Wear a "uniform" of some sort, at least something displaying your name so that you're not mistaken for a patron 4.) Public restroom available? No indication in your waiting area. 5.) Inform customer of expected wait time, took about 45 minutes for my oil change These are fairly nit-picky but would improve the customer experience a great deal, at least for somebody like me. My other suggestion would be to communicate more clearly and in better detail- I was surprised that no recommendations were made during check-out, this is usually when I'm informed that my brakes "have a few thousand miles left in 'em" or whatnot. Maybe there were no actual concerns... though I have my doubts. Anyway, thanks for putting in a repair shop in the area! I'll be back again.
