Tim and his team took my wife's 2025 Honda Civic in for hail damage and did a superb job. Their attention to detail was fantastic. It shows that everyone there has a ton of pride in the work they do. I kept it local and so glad I did. I highly recommend Lynch Auto Body, not for just the work they do, but also how they treat you. The car was very beat up and it looks like it just came off the lot. read more

reckless and fictitious review? That is where you are false Tim. I have our conversation recorded, where you admitted to leaving my car unlocked And were unapologetic. Copy and paste the link to hear your first story. Do you need a reminder of our conversation on 1/6/25, where the story changed? I have that audio. https://www.facebook.com/share/14kzKs9Ew4/?mibextid=wwXIfr I had to have my insurance company follow up with you to see if my car was complete. As you can see from the texts, that was on 1/6/25. I picked up my car on 1/6/25. Your statement about "not releasing" my car due to me not paying is false. I was in an insurance covered rental car. Do you really think they are going to continue to pay for my rental knowing my car is complete? Not once did I deny to pay my bill, which was only my deductible, mind you. You stated you couldn't waive the deductible because that's illegal. I never asked you to waive it. Also, where did you get the information that I had auto body work done and didn't return to that shop? Because that is also false. This is my first claim. I've had the same insurance company since 2012. Should I contact my insurance company and get my claim information/history? And you saying I tried to take advantage of a small business? Far from, again, I chose your business because of the number of years you have been in service. I chose to shop local and support a small business. I will not let you bully me or defame my character because I simply posted my experience with your business. If you don't want a negative review, treat your customers better. As you can also see from attached pics, Tim likes to private message his customers and name call. read more

My car looks great. Easy to work with, they took care of everything! My car was even cleaner than I had left it.

This time I'm ready to report Lynch's inevitable bullying response via Yelp (top 3 dots in right hand corner of his response on a computer, not the app). Other displeased customers should do the same. He overcharges customers. Tried to charge $1k for a short tow (see attached). Also charges $150/day (see attached) for every day that customer's car sits in his lot even though insurance co says the norm is to begin charging once the repairs start. It could be weeks before repairs start. He refuses to provide invoices to customers in defiance of WI state law. If he did readily provide the invoices, it would prove he actually purchased parts used to repair vehicles. Since he refuses to provide these invoices, maybe the opposite is true. read more

Lynch Auto Body - Lynch estimate for $1k in towing that never happened, $150/day in storage fees and grand total of $5k for a car that was deemed totaled. - Auto Repair Near Me - Madison, Wisconsin

My passenger-side door had superficial scratches. Lynch Auto Body said I had to bring my car to his shop for an estimate. I drove to his shop and was told I would get an estimate later in the day or the next day sent to my email address. Nothing came to my email address. Does Lynch Auto-Body want business? It sure did not seem like they did. read more

This shop adjusted and corrected an improper or incomplete repair of my rear hatch window hat was done at an auto glass specialist. Supply chain issues delayed the repair, but all was done in the end to my satisfaction, including USAA reimbursement. read more

Do not take your car here if you plan to pay out of pocket. I wanted a small local reliable shop and took my car in for an estimate. Final cost was almost twice what the estimate was and although the other persons insurance company was supposed to cover the repairs, Lynch would not negotiate so I had to pay out of pocket to get my car back. he kept my car for over two weeks. He constantly threatens litigation so keep that in mind when choosing your repair shop. I will say the quality of the work was good but the experience was truly horrible read more

I cannot stress enough what a fantastic experience I had with Lynch Auto Body. From start to finish, they worked with the (very) difficult insurance company the person who ran into my parked car had and spent a lot of time and effort to ensure they covered all the damages. Tim, the owner, really goes above and beyond for his customers. In this time of the COVID-19, they even sterilized my car prior to me picking it up. If I could give over a five star rating, I would. Outstanding service and customer support. read more

After visiting the highest reviewed auto shops in Madison for estimates, I felt confident leaving my car with Lynch Auto Body. Tim was the only one to notice when my car would be unsafe to drive after an accident because of a problem with the tire suspension. He then moved around his schedule to fix my car in only a week--and it was a substantial repair. Tim did a full inspection and updated me promptly with any changes to the estimate. I have a leased car and he emphasized the importance that he would make the repairs as perfect as possible so that my car could be returned in the same condition. There is a pearl shine to the paint and Tim made an exact match. I was assured that Tim cared for my car as he would his own. I highly recommend Lynch Auto Repair to everyone and would definitely return if needed! read more

Lynch Auto Body - Auto Repair Near Me - Madison, Wisconsin

Fantastic from the moment I stepped through the door. Craig and the team were very professional and made everything easy. They helped with all aspects of the repair and even had the rental car waiting for me. My Subaru looks like it was never in an accident, I couldn't be happier! read more

I would highly recommend. I chose Lynch auto body after reading other review sites and talking to people in my neighborhood. Really kind both in phone interaction & in person. Turn around time was quick, better than I expected and better than their target quote. Pricing was in the average range but I would rate service and quality in the above average tier. read more

That cement pillar came out of nowhere and smashed right into me - denting my front right fender, and having no excuse when driving my father-in-law's gift home for a much-needed family trip. But when I called Lynch's, I knew everything would be ok. He explained everything, was super communicative (especially when figuring out how to deal with the insurance company), and most importantly: gave me options. When you know you're going to have to kick in some of your own dough for a repair, you want to know what you can get for your money. Tim was professional, courteous and kind. Highly recommend for your dinger needs. read more

My daughter had a wreck traveling between Milwaukee and Minneapolis during a snowstorm. The state trooper asked for the key to the car and said I had to leave the car with him. I knew nothing about body shops in Madison and it was a holiday weekend. Based on these Google reviews I picked Lynch's Auto Body. I did not know what I was getting into, but when I told the insurance company my decision, the adjuster says we like Tim he's a good guy! That put my mind at ease. The work that needed to be done was extensive and finding parts was difficult. Tim kept me up to date on the part searches over the six weeks they had the car. The car had been a gift from her grandfather and has huge sentimental value. I couldn't be happier with the results and the wonderful service they provided. read more

Over the years, I have had some bad experiences with body shops in Madison. Luckily, last year I found Lynch Auto Body hiding right in my own neighborhood. Tim Lynch and his crew do excellent work, meet or beat their deadlines, and are locally owned and operated. What more could you ask for? (I just hope that I won't need their services again for a while...) read more

Very responsive with a quote, w/in half an hour! Unfortunately, it was about $50 higher than what my normal auto repair shop quoted. Had that not been the case, I probably would have given Lynch a try given the quality of their reviews. read more

I posted an honest, negative review of my experience with the owner of this auto body shop because I was concerned with how I was treated. The owner then sent me a cease and desist letter threatening me with legal action if I didn't remove the review. I decided to remove the review because I didn't need the hassle. His unsavory response to my concerns exemplifies his business behavior perfectly well. read more

Had a great experience working with Lynch on a recent repair to my car. I was unable to get a rental car as there were none available. I told Tim and he worked hard to get my car in and out in 24hrs. Repair looks great and I would definitely use this shop again! read more

They are amazing! We went in because we thought our trunk latch had broken and had tried a few things to fix it on our own with no luck. We showed up and Tim Lynch took the time to look at it right away. After trying a few things, he found that it was just jammed and he fixed it with no charge (and didn't even make us feel bad about coming in for such a silly thing). We will definitely be going back. Really nice, helpful staff. read more

When I Googled "body shops near Sun Prairie', I had several options, but Lynch offered an online estimate. I uploaded my photos, and they contacted me with an offer to do the estimate in person at my convenience (my photo skills were not up-to-par). When you call/stop, you are dealing with the owner, and he was upfront that I should go through insurance due to the costs. He walked me through the process, set-up an appointment for the next week, and I was reassured that my car was in good hands. The entire office is covered in certificates showing their knowledge. The work took longer than expected, and I was told that was because they rejected the parts ordered by insurance and reordered new parts. My car looks as good as the day I bought it. If I had one complaint, I had to call for an update, as they did not follow-up to let me know it would take longer than expected. Other than that, they were responsive, helpful, and did great work. Plus, they took on the insurance company so my car would look better in the end. And that's priceless. Or in my case, the cost of my deductible. read more

They've done work on my car twice (neither time was I at-fault), I couldn't be happier with the service. I don't believe you can find a better operation. read more

I would highly recommend Lynch Auto Body to anyone needing auto-collision repairs. They were very accommodating and easy to work with. When we dropped the car off and picked it up it was at our convenience. When the repairs were complete, minus a pair of nameplates that were on back order, Tim had us pick up the car and we returned later in the week for a few minutes to have the badges installed...we were very excited to return the rental and get our new car back, and the Lynch Auto team made sure it was in a timely manner. The repairs were of the highest quality, our Jetta looks fresh off the factory floor. It's also great that they are a locally owned, family business. I would not hesitate to return to Lynch Auto Body and will recommend them any chance I get. read more

I went to Lynch after I received what I thought was unreasonable estimate and poor service from Sparkle Auto Body. Sparkle, you did me a favor. I was pleased with the estimate I got from Lynch but more important, I can't say enough about the service. When they uncovered some additional damage, they called me and asked me to come over. Tim showed me what was discovered, so I was confident about the need for the repairs. He worked with the insurance companies and when one wouldn't respond, he let me know so I could follow up. My only concern is that the repairs took much longer than I had anticipated, but clearly that was because they found those unanticipated problems. When I picked up the car, Tim walked me through everything they had done so I know what they did and where. The repairs are seamless. You would never know the car had ever been damaged. Five stars all the way! read more

I've used several body shops through the years because I'm a dad with 2 teenage drivers. Lynch does terrific quality work. Everything shines better than when it was new, there are never any issues with the work down the road, and Tim is as honest as they get. I'd never go anywhere else. read more

I HIGHLY recommend Lynch Auto Body to get any work done! I recently brought in my 2012 Dodge Charger for repairs on my driver side doors and Mr. Lynch went ABOVE and BEYOND expectations! It actually came out better than before the incident with professional paintwork and letting me know what was going on throughout the entire process! I will always come through this company if I need any work done! read more

Lynch auto not only did an exceptional job repairing my prius, they went the extra mile throughout the process, coordinating with the rental car company, working around my work and travel schedule. I've never worked with a repair facility so thoughtful and accommodating. They made an otherwise stressful experience easy and worry free. read more

Lynch Auto Body went above and beyond the call of duty in repairing paint damage to my vehicle. Tim was flexible with my schedule and made sure I had a vehicle to get work. He also took extra steps to remove paint chips and buff up the fenders. I feel like I'm driving a brand new car! I highly recommend Lynch Auto Body for all of your auto repair needs. read more

Highly recommend! My car required some pretty complicated and extensive work after I was hit. Tim was super easy to work with and made what could have been a huge ideal into a downright pleasant experience. What's more, my car had a bit of damage unrelated to the accident and Tim fixed this at a really reasonable price. If I need work done in the future I'll definitely go back. read more

Extremely helpful, got my vehicle back 2 days early. Quality work, matched my trigloss paint. Highly recommended!

I read the negative reviews here about Lynch's after my car had already been towed there by my insurance company. I was concerned, since they're in my neighborhood & I like to support local businesses. However, I went there not expecting too much and they ended up being life-savers in my situation. The fact was, my car had been totaled by a drunken, uninsured motorist, & it wound up sitting there a couple of weeks while I struggled with my insurance company before I could get it towed away. I couldn't get any help from my insurers at Liberty Mutual to get any coverage, contact the other party, or even to come out and make a report that the car was totaled so I could have it removed. I dealt with the owner, Tim Lynch, in this situation. He was very sympathetic and kind to me even though he was going through some tough times personally, and also the shop was very busy and had a lot of cars in their storage lot. Not only did he let my car stay there and never ended up charging me a cent for storage, he made calls to my insurance company to try and get them to come out and make an estimate. My insurance company was ultimately useless to me and he is going to be the one writing up the total loss report so I can pursue the other party to try and get some money. Now, I am sorry to hear of the experiences the other people had, but mine was indeed different. I know he's aware of these negative reviews & is actively trying to redeem himself and the reputation of his business. I don't know what to say about the letters to others threatening legal action, that sounds way out of line, but I don't see how he could possibly back that up if they are telling the truth about what happened, so they shouldn't have to worry about it. Still, that's not right and I plan to ask him for his side of the story, because what's the point if people can't speak freely here? --and on the other hand, these are all personal, individual opinions rather than news reports, the Better Business Bureau or Consumer Digest so the readers must decide for themselves. This is an honest review of my one and only experience with Lynch's, as I had never met them previously. I don't know if he's ever tried to write a response here to the other comments, but it's true that he did ask me just to write and be honest about my experience, if I was willing. Who knows, people often change for many reasons, I just know that I was very grateful for their help and patience and I plan to get the hail damage on my new old car fixed by them to try and return the favor. This is a very nice neighborhood and they've been in business here for many, many years. I think anyone who might go there should take all of this into consideration, and then make their own decision. I know that auto repair can be very expensive, so you should definitely always get written estimates before having work done anywhere to be sure there are no surprises. Feel free to ask me if you have any questions. read more

I'd highly highly recommend Lynch Auto Body. Not only for their fantastic work -- they are so conscientious and take obvious pride in doing a job well -- but for how helpful Tim Lynch was, when I got into a fender-bender the day before I was supposed to go on vacation. I emailed Lynch Auto Body on a Saturday, trying to get things set up for Monday. Tim happened to be in the office and called us to say that we could bring the car in right away. He kept it and fixed it up while we were away, and did such great work on the car, it's like new now. It's a pleasure to find a business that does such good work with an owner who has such an impressive work ethic. read more

I have used Lynch Auto Body twice in the last 12 months due to two separate weather related car damage issues. I had my car towed by Prairie Land Towing in Sun Prairie to have my tire fixed, in the process they managed to hit my car which caused damage to the back end of my Mustang(I was not very happy). The car was sent over to Lynch for the body work and the end result was BEAUTIFUL!!!! I'm very picky about my car and NOT ONLY WAS THE BODY WORK AMAZING but THE OWNER WAS JUST AS AMAZING!! He was the nicest guy I have ever met! You can't even tell anything was wrong with the back end of my car. I have never been more pleased than I am with Lynch. I recommend them for any body work you may need, and plan to go back to have my whole car painted soon. Thank You so much Lynch for all the great work you did on my mustang!!!!!! read more
