My initial visit to them was for an estimate which the emailed me that very same day. From there scheduled a time to drop off the car. I will make an admission... I have knocked off my side view mirror more times than I would like to admit. I am going to blame it on poor depth perception! I searched around for somewhere to take my car after having done a DIY repair after my latest incident, and found Sparkle online with great reviews. I called to make an appointment for an estimate and the helpful person on the other end of the line let me know that no appointment was needed and I could just come in at my convenience. My estimate visit was really quick, the Sparkle folks just took down some details and took a look at my car. I appreciated the no judgement attitude even with the repair I had taken upon myself before making it in! It was really easy to make an appointment for the repair and the price was very reasonable for service. I was really happy with the job done and it took just about an hour as I was told. These guys are amazing! My car was side-swiped and the mirror was knocked clean off the day before I was making a massive cross-country move. I showed up to Sparkle with not much hope of anything that could be done, but boy was I wrong. Not only did they go out of their way to screw the mirror head back in place, they even managed to find a mirror to glue onto it that allowed me to drive safely to my new place of residence. They did all of this out of the kindness of their heart and I could not be more grateful. I had a great experience with Sparkle Auto Body. They were so helpful. I walked in asking for an estimate for some minor damage to my front bumper. The man spoke to was very honest in terms of how much it would cost if I were to get the bumper replaced. He then asked if I wanted a basic repair in which he could attach the part of the bumper that was hanging low. He did He did it in 10 minutes and didn't even charge me. I had to have a hit and run dent fixed on my door including paint job. My car had special protective stickers around the edge and door handles, as well as a paint with sparkle. After the service, I could not even tell! The work was flawless and they went out of their way to match the protective stickers. I came to Sparkle Auto Body very nervous and with a giant scratch on my car. It was clear I was out of my comfort zone, but upon walking in, the staff there was very friendly right off the bat. Eric came out and saw the mark and could immediately tell it wasnt even a scratch and just needed some solvent to remove. He so kindly took some time and just wiped off the marks with the special solution for no charge!! Such a kind and honest man! The people were all very helpful and professional, all the repairs were explained very well, the repair estimate was clear and prompt, and everything went completely smoothly. When I heard we were taking our body work all the way to the East side, I asked, "why?". Now after receiving the outstanding service and seeing the results, I get it. We dropped our car off for service on a Wednesday, and received it back the following Tuesday! That's a quick turn around during one of their busiest time of the year. They also have a reciprocal relationship with Enterprise. Sharon the office manager even dropped us off in front of Enterprise's doors to pick up our rental car, so we didn't have to wait around for Enterprise to pick us up (although that's their slogan, you'll have to wait for an actual representative to come). I'd recommend Eric Northrup to anyone that needs paint and/or body work done. He communicated clearly with us throughout the process and was responsive regarding what he was going to be doing as well as the price for each procedure. The best part is they offer a lifetime warranty on their work! After our experience, we have total confidence in Sparkle and would not hesitate to recommend them, and use them again in the near future. Our 1 year old vehicle was totaled. After getting blindsided by another car, flipping onto the drivers side, sliding 20 feet, hitting a pole and popping back onto all 4 tires...... it was totaled. At least that's what I thought. It's what the first person from our insurance company thought. But it wasn't what the 3rd party damage assessor thought. So we were faced with having to repair it instead of replace it and deal with the probability of issues down the road and depreciated value when it came time to trade it in. I talked with the insurance company and tried to get them to get another estimate done. They wouldn't. I researched state consumer protection laws. Guess what..... not much in terms of protection out there. I'll save boring you with the details. So I next researched body shops and after reading more reviews than I care to admit, I settled on Sparkle. If it was going to have to get fixed I wanted it fixed by the most reputable shop I could find. Then the unbelievable happened. After the vehicle was towed to Sparkle and they got a look at it, they called me and explained that they needed to take a closer look but their initial feeling was that our vehicle was most likely not going to be easily repairable. I was over the moon happy about this. The team at Sparkle did a detailed inspection, found more damage than the first inspector, contacted my insurance company to inform them that vehicle was a total loss, and our struggle was over. The finished work makes the car look like new after having been rear ended by a van. Tiny issues: constant contact was a bit weak, scheduling could have been a little tighter/shorter.the bumper cover is strong by 1/8 inch at one end. It was a complicated repair so the turnaround time wasn't as expected, but they kept me updated throughout the process and it looks like my car never got rear-ended. Sparkle Auto Body is one of those rare places that actually cares about its customers. This was my first time using them and the experience was excellent. Specifically: 1. Many insurance companies only pay for after market items. Sparkle contacted Acura to see if they would price match so I had an OEM part. 2. Someone had keyed my car and I asked if they could try and buff it out. They did that for free. 3. Car came back not just washed but with the wheels detailed. 4. They gave me left over paint for touchups. 5. Drove me in their personal car to the car rental agency which was not convenient to get to at all. 6. I was involved in a minor side-swiping accident, and my insurer recommended a number of body shops in the event that I wanted to repair the damage to my car's front passenger fender (mostly paint scratches and scuffs, with some slight bending in the fender). I chose Sparkle because they were within walking distance of my apartment, and I wanted a locally-owned service shop to do the work. I couldn't be happier. I brought my car in for an inspection, and the individual working with me was kind enough to provide two estimates by email: one represented a bare-minimum repair to the exterior and the fender, and the other represented a complete paint job to essentially erase any evidence of damage. The difference in the estimates was substantial, so I greatly appreciated (1) being told that there were different levels of service I could get depending on my needs and (2) having the difference explained to me in person during the inspection and on paper in the estimates. When I went to pick up my car after a day in the shop, the staff showed me the work they'd done, and gave me a small paint touch-up kit, which they showed me how to apply myself. (The kit was left-over from the repair, so I didn't pay for it, but I don't believe this is standard practice. Just saying: they're personable, and I felt treated like a person, not a customer.) Wow! I am absolutely blown away with the staff and quality of service at Sparkle Autobody. After losing to a concrete beam in a parking garage my vehicle was dented and scratched. I was very nervous to take my car to anyone but Zimbrick as the car was less than a year old and brand new but due to the vast difference in my quote between Sparkle and Zimbrick, I decided to go with Sparkle. Have I said wow? I'm in shock with how amazing of a job they did. I can't even tell that my car was ever damaged. They told me they estimated three days and were spot on. They covered my rental vehicle in the mean time and kept me up to date on the status of my repair (Something that is incredibly rare in my experience). Not only that, but after getting into my car, I saw that they threw away a bit of garbage I had sitting around and tidied everything up and washed the car inside and out. Just an extra nice touch. Someone side swiped my car in my apartment parking lot, and you'll never believe what happens next... THE KIND SOUL LEFT A NOTE. I wanted to get two quotes for repairs, and I chose Sparkle as one of the auto body shops in Madison for their convenient location and the positive yelp reviews, honestly. I wasn't sure where to park my car in their lot because there looked to be a mixture of people parking their cars temporarily there and some that were being held for repairs. I was involved in an accident back in November right before Thanksgiving, I was rear ended by a driver who was not paying attention at all. Luckily, the driver at fault and myself were A-OK and both were insured. One of the recommended auto body shops was Sparkle, which just so happened to be blocks away from where the incident happened. The staff was so friendly and accommodating, this was the smoothest part of this whole ordeal. Jill Kleist was the first person we came in contact with and she let us know that we wouldn't be able to get in until Dec 26th. We didn't mind waiting that long because we knew this place had a good reputation (thanks to you yelpers!). Over the first few weeks, Jill sent updated invoices for how much it was going to cost to fix the car, this was very informative and it made me feel like they hadn't forgot about me! Fast forward to December 27th (I was late lol), we dropped my car off and Jill still followed up with updates every few days as to how long the car was going to take. Because that other quote was higher, they refused to honor their first quote, and prepared a new (higher) one. We ended up not using Sparkle, and went with the other company with the higher quote, since couldn't trust them to be ethical in their management. Wouldn't recommend them on that basis. read more

My license plate holder was broken and I lost it in transit. I was quite uncomfortable driving around without a plate. I called Sparkle and they nicely invited me in to take a look at the issue. They were able to order me a replacement holder and set up my replacement plates without hassle. I've been needing to get some work done on one of our cars since November. After getting countless estimates done I decided to do the majority of the work myself. I decided to get the paint done by the pros as the extent of my painting skills don't quite translate in to automotive work. I let them know that I was just looking to get the color close and didn't need it blended with the other panels. When I came to pick it up, it looked amazing. I was floored when they seemed apologetic because it didn't match exactly. It turned out far better than I had expected AND they beat everyone else in the area by a long shot when it came to price. I am furious with Sparkle Auto Body. I got an estimate. I thought it was completely out of line. I decided to get a second estimate from another body shop. Meanwhile, Sparkle contacted the insurance company for the claim and told them I wouldn't come in, so the company issued a check to me based on Sparkle's estimate. I'll admit there was a delay. I use my car for rideshare driving, and I couldn't afford days off the road. I explained this to them. I had not turned them down. Why did Sparkle contact the insurance company if I had not authorized the work? Why did they assume I wouldn't use them when I never said so? Summary: unreasonable estimate, poor (an understatement) communication making assumptions rather than listening to the customer, more concerned with pleasing the insurance company than the customer. read more

He helped explain the possible damage and thoroughly checked my car from road kill damage. When the paint on the trunk of my 2004 Accord started peeling, I took it to Sparkle to get an estimate. The price to paint it was prohibitively high, however Jill (the office manager) looked around for a spare deck lid in the same color from an auto yard, and they replaced the whole thing for half the price of what it would have cost to paint it. When I picked the car up later that afternoon, they had also cleaned it, and buffed out a large scratch in my bumper at no extra charge.
