Favourite speciality latte place in the neighbourhood! I've been here a few times and tried different lattes every visit - never disappoints! Lavender latte and amber latte are my fav. If you're looking for a milder flavor, the honey blossom would be a good choice. This place is huge inside and has a few tables on the outside - I know I have enjoyed their outdoors on warmer days. The vibe in this coffee shop is great and it was packed with people for a Wednesday afternoon. I ordered the 6 oz cappuccino with oat milk and caramel. Generally I don't like to comment on price as it shouldn't be a surprise if you read a menu. The barista showed me both sizes and it wasn't until I got the 6 oz that I realized how small it was for $6.50. The add ons for oat milk and caramel add up. Great for quick coffee. The place is very clean with your standard hipster vibe... like most coffee shops in Denver these days. The merchandise is cute and well thought out, I've occasionally given in and purchased some trinket I did not need. The layout is great for casual client meetings and friends meetups. It's also walking distance from a park and short trail if you want to take your coffee on a hike. I usually enjoy the amber latte or iced chai tea, both made well and delivered with a friendly smile but nothing to write home about. Its your average coffee experience. I would've given this place 4 stars when I lived within walking distance but now I realize the lack of parking in the area is stupid annoying. Their is a small parking lot behind it that usually has open spots but I prefer to avoid all the people milling in the entrance to park and just find a street spot. In a rush, I've just opted for the Starbucks drive through across the way by Snooze... The WiFi is hit or miss, when it's crowded I've found it very difficult to connect and I can usually pull a stronger signal from the apartment community Clubhouse across from the entrance. If you like to geocache, the kids and I found 3 or 4 in walking distance. The one back near the rec center is in a really cool cache container, worth the effort. read more

It was quite busy for a late Wednesday afternoon but my Chai Latte and warmed up croissant was everything I needed. Staff was so kind and loved the vibes! The place is cute and modern - I totally understand why it's a favorite and why people like to do work here or hang out. This is just another example of an establishment where the employees mirror the upper management. You charge people exorbitant amounts for your products, when it doesn't meet expectations you train them to argue with the customer. When the customer reaches out to share the experiences, they get treated even worse. The coffee here is sometimes good, depending on who's making it and that can be said about anywhere. We paid for extra shots of chai because we know it's typically watered down here. When my client mentioned she didn't like hers, I brought it to their attention and asked for another shot. I was told "we made it how we made it and it's the right way". I said we would like the extra shot that was paid for and she said "I'll do it this one time but we made it right". Literally word for word. You'd never get treated this way by a chain, the ones people say are too expensive. I wrote an email providing feedback and then got the snarkiest response which I'll share here. Here's a tip: BE GRATEFUL people gave you the opportunity to do the right thing. SAY THANK YOU and welcome them back to give them another try. You're not going to make everybody happy but there's a reason Starbucks and the others will continue winning over and over. Monk and Mongoose is a great coffee shop tucked in residential alone Tree. Very walkable along the trails and close to the rec center and sports fields. They have a great pour over and lots of other options. We go each day when we are in town visiting family. Stopped in on a rainy Saturday morning. The place was hopping! It's stuck inside the corner of a residential apartment building. Only street parking is available. The coffee was just okay. I felt like it had a weird after taste. My partner had a latte and also felt like it was "fine" but nothing great. She has the cinnamon scone which she like a lot. Great coffee, chill study spot! My first visit to monk and mongoose was with a friend when we spent an afternoon sipping coffee and studying for an exam. The Lone Tree location is situated near Sky Ridge Hospital on the ground floor of the Ovation apartment complex. There is ample street parking available, so no need to worry if your study session runs on the longer side. They serve Sweet Bloom coffee, and I've always found their Americanos to be delicious. The staff is friendly and the facilities are clean. I have Verizon, and noticed that the cell service is shotty at best, but this wasn't too much of an inconvenience since the wifi was reliable and fast. My only criticism would be that I wish this place had more seats with access to electric outlets. This place can definitely get pretty busy and finding an available place to charge difficult. read more
