This is my favorite place to get Mongolian BBQ! Basically when you walk in, you pay for your meal, and they give you a bowl, and rice soup and/or drink if you so please. Then that's when you start making your own creation. Entrees range from $7-11, depending if you get a regular or large size, and if you make is combo. There is a wide variety of frozen meats and vegetables to add to your entree. For me, I like adding chicken, beef, tofu, pineapples, and mushroom... very simple =) Don't be afraid to overflow your bowl... it seems like they don't mind so much. The cooks will then ask you if you want all of the sauces in your entree... which I highly recommend. The mix of the sauce flavors is pretty damn good. Also you can choose how spicy you want it. Then you kinda wait for your food to be ready... but at least you can see them cook it. Afterwards I like to sprinkle sesame seeds which they offer near the soda machine. The end product is delicious and filling as well. I only come here every now and then, but when I do come here... I am always satisfied. The only thing I don't really like is they ask you to pay for refills. Other than that... pretty good and yummy place. Also free wifi! (The code is on the cash register when you pay). read more

This is a very nice and clean place. To really get your money's worth, you much master the stacking if the food, and once you do that you will be in business. The only thing I would like to see is some more different ingredients. read more

I really like this place. They give you a good amount of good and you are able to select what you want and watch them cook it. You are given a bowl and are able to select the amount of what you like. Then at the end of the line, the cook puts your food on a stove and cook it while you watch. You are sure to get freshly cooked food and its very tasty! read more

Food is good, but they took away the extra noodles for $1 so that's lame! And they messed up the order because I asked for no chili and they put 4 spoons of chili. More attentive service and management would really help them. Manger is always on laptop doing u know wht . And they are stingy they charge 50 cents refills. read more

If you've been to the mall's dining area you've been here. It's nothing special if you really want a bang for your buck you should go to the one in Moreno where is all you can eat. read more

I usually go to another Mongolian BBQ restaurant that's closer to LA, but that's too far for me to go on the regular. I found this spot one day while looking for Shakey's Pizza (which is no longer in this area). The food is excellent, simple and straight forward and cooked well. We went on the weekend so we didn't have to worry about the university crowd. This was a great find in Riverside and close to where I work, so I'm very happy about that. read more

Decent typical mongolian bbq, similar to ones you would find In a mall food court. Worth it if you live walking distance but I wouldn't consider this worth driving to if you don't live off university. read more

I am a big fan of this restaurant and their concept of the bowl. You get two sizes to choose from - regular or the large bowl! Once you select the bowl, you have the option putting as much meat/vegetables as possible in the bowl I like their spice pallets too, they are on point! Definitely give it a try if you're near riverside! read more

I used to be happy with this place. This was the first place I went to for Mongolian BBQ a few years ago when it opened and I got hooked! Sadly, it's gone downhill lately. Something that always bugged me is that they charge for refills. For the past year or so, they've gotten into the habit of leaving all of the doors open instead of running the AC. It's uncomfortably warm, but not unbearable; however, when I went last night, there were a bunch of bugs all over the ceiling from it. Another reviewer mentioned that they don't like you pressing down on your bowl, which is ridiculous in a self serve line. They also changed from soy sauce packets to little to-go cups for soy sauce which is not a big deal, but it annoys me that they skimp on a pleasant customer experience on all of these things in order to pinch pennies. The food tastes great, but I finally decided to write this review because the last few times my girl and I went, one or both of us ended up with upset stomachs. I will look for another place for Mongolian BBQ. read more

When I first walking into this place I walked in with some roommates who have tried it and loved it. I ordered a medium bowl and learned to stack my food, ill say it again STACK!!!! If you want to get more meat and vegetables you may wanna take my advice. Plus i almost never walk in without having to order for extra noodles. The staff that work there are soo nice, and depending on who cooks your food you may get lucky with the noodle portions. I always ask for extra spicy, but when i not feeling it i still ask for extra lemon juice and little spicyness. I slowly became addicted to this and now that i am temporarily gone I can enjoy the separation, but still crave it every once and a while. read more

The lady, only the lady was a total dodo. I literally slipped push down my food a little and she said hey you can't do that... I felt so disrespected. Also the food cost a ridiculous price. 10 dollars for a large? Are you kidding me? Large is same as medium don't be stupid... It fits the same amount of food. Place is a true scam read more

So good! This place is a hidden little spot. The staff are always very nice & the food is always good. I kinda like coming here because it's never to packed & I get to eat in peace! Cool spot to check out. read more

There's better Mongolian restaurants on sunndymead but if you're a ucr student without a car this will do fine. Little overpriced for what they offer. read more

This place is awesome. Yes, it's expensive ($9 for a bowl, soup, rice, and drink) and I'm disappointed that they've already upped their prices after only being in business a couple months. But this place is quality. The old guy is an amazing human being, and I'm pretty sure he has a crush on my girlfriend, so you would not believe the amount of food we get. It's expensive, but way worth it for the amount of food you get, we're talking lunch/dinner here. Also, I have a solid, non-gay man-crush on the old dude with the perma-bluetooth. He's funny, and gives me lots of food. read more

To get you money's worth you need to be a Ninja Tetris Master! It's one of those places where you collect your ingredients buffet style. The large bowl and small bowl don't differ much so I recommend sticking with the small bowl. Put in the work and stack your food HIGH! The biggest flaw of this place is that they don't have free refills! So beware of how spicy you order your meal. Otherwise it's a decent place for a meal and well within walking distance of the residence halls and apartments at the university. read more

I've been here several times. I really like the food. The veggies are usually fresh Nx the meat is clean. But I do think it is expensive.

I would give this place 0 stars but the food is good. Other than that, the place looks dirty and run down, staff is totally rude, and they charge you 50 cents for soda refills. WTF is up with that?! A regular sized soda cost like $1.35 so you should be able to refill your soda as much as you damn want especially since you're paying almost $10 for a large bowl. read more

I liked this place it was on the cleaner side food tasted good... I do wish the veggies were a little fresher .. overall a good experience

More expensive than any other Mongolian BBQ place I've been to and also not all you can eat like most. The food was good but still not better than any of the others I've been to. read more

My family & I visited this restaurant for the first time, the other day the food was SO delicious! The people who worked there are super friendly and it's very clean inside (even the bathrooms). The prices are fair, especially for the amount of food you get :) Will definitely eat here again! read more

Just an FYI, Mongolian bbq is actually from Taiwan, NOT MONGOLIA. Anyways, I love this place. always stack my bowl to the top and have em make it spicy. For about $9-$10 you get a huge bowl, a side of rice, soup and a drink. read more

Takes ***** forever. Sometimes have to stand in line for 15-20 minutes. You can fit more than 2 dishes on that huge stove. No sense of urgency. No efficiency. Tastes amazing, so gets 2 stars, but the wait time, my GAWD!! read more

I gave them 3 stars because staff was really friendly. First time here and wasn't impressed. You cant put your own sauces or noodles. Noodles were not that great. Separate price if you want rice or soup. Drink refills cost you too. Food was not bad, fresh but I don't think I will be back. If your looking for a quick fast bite sure but a good dinner...nah. read more

A good Mongolian BBQ restaurant, although I prefer the San Bernardino/Highland Mongolian BBQ better. The soup isn't my favorite. They are very accomodating to make your food to your taste. I prefer no noodles and just a little garlic. read more

If I would have did this review back when they first opened it probably would have been 5 stars easy. The owners were always there, the cook were really happy about their work and the food was great. I used to just get beef. I would fill the bowl up and never push it down and when the cook would see it, he would throw the meat on the grill and then go grab some more and put it down. That happened like every time for the first year or so. I thought it was really cool and would always buy extra noodles, a side or just throw a couple bucks in the tip jar since I always though it was a kind gesture. Then I guess reality set in and there were new signs about pushing down or some other rule and the cooks changed. These guys would charge 10 bucks and not really care about how little was in there. I never wanted to be a "pusher" and it was nice not to have to worry about it while the other cooks were there. After they left though it seemed to go downhill. The owners weren't around as much anymore either. Just seemed each time I would come back after the prices would rise, the bowls would shrink and the workers were more apathetic to the customers. My friend went recently after me and announced it was his last visit after he found out they got rid of lamb. That was really the only thing that kept him going back. I thought the meat, noodles, and sauce were good. Just the portions, price and service have all declined in recent years. If you have never gone it's worth at least one fair try but if you went a long time ago and are thinking of going back, it might be a rude awakening. read more

Decent flavor. No squishing food is stupid. Seriously!?!?! And why must we due noodles orange...unnecessary. Offer no meat/veggie bowl for kids. Boo read more

This place is good but you have to go in on a good day. The cooks don't all cook your food the same way. Sometimes they put a lot of noodles and not enough flavor and other times not enough noodles for the meat and vegetables. It is also very expensive and not enough food for this price. If you have no car and live by ucr then it is definitely the spot. read more

Little pricey compared to others but it's some good stuff. Carbs Protein great for gains, high in sodium of course but if not it wouldn't be this delicious. Right next to UCR wouldn't mind attending there, now only if someone would let me know how that is ! Thanks! read more

Not a bad place, standard Mongolian BBQ. You can't add your own noodles though, they add them for you. Kind of pricey too , there is a better Mongolian BBQ in moval. read more

most amazing place I've ever eaten at. I love it. I can eat here everyday if I could..

Pricey, OK mongolian. all you can eat. Custom make your own bowl and give it to thte chef! Yummy, next time I should be better. Make sure you add lots of sauce in or else your food will come out dry. Overall, OK food! read more

So good! Can't find another Mongolian bbq like this! Don't really see much of a difference between the regular and large.

This is probably my favorite Mongolian BBQ place! Everything is always fresh and tastes amazing, and the inside is always clean. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and even when it's busy they still keep the line moving pretty quick. I come here once a week on my lunch break since I work down the street, and have never been disappointed and never have to wait long. Highly recommend this place! read more

I got the all you can fit in a large bowl deal. The trick is to put the meat in first and smash down with your hand when the workers are not looking. The vegetables can come later after your meat is spilling off the top. You must master the stack technique to get your moneys worth. On the other hand, the chefs are really helpful when they see me struggling to stack the last bits of vegetables before it collaspes. "No worries, i will put the vegetables on the grill for you, just tell me what you want"... Cool... They take my bowl and dump it on this HUGE circle grill. Few minutes later I am full of greasiness and need a nap. read more

Tasty food and hugeee quality. Its never really packed so its a easy and quick place to go to for good food.

Great place, GREAT food. Very friendly. Quick and convenient. Gave it 4 and not 5 b/c they charge 50 cents for refills. Not a huge amount, but kind of a pain. Otherwise, an awesome restaurant. read more

One of the better Mongolian BBQ's that I have been to. I was happy to see that they had a kids meal. The cooks sent me back to add more food to my bowl because they didn't think I was getting enough. read more

This is one of our go to places somewhat near work to get out of the office for a while at lunch time. The place gets a little busy during lunch time with all the college students, but hardly ever that bad. The regular (non-combo) is definitely more than enough to fill you up for lunch, but I feel that they used to give you more noodles than they do now. Still, more than enough. The quality of their meat is pretty good, but its hard to get that much of it when they are all rolled up frozen. It takes a bit of getting used to properly select the right pieces of meat and construct your pile of toppings on it, but its well worth it. They have their selection of sauces, which one guy used to guilt me into always getting at least one of each. He's right though, it is pretty tasty with all of them. I like my food spicy, but even with just the one spoonful of their spicy sauce it definitely puts this up there on the spicy level. So be careful for the uninitiated. The noodles are also nice and thick with just the right amount of chew. They also will usually have Fox Soccer or ESPN on, which was nice recently when we caught a Euro Cup game here. read more

One of my favorite places to eat. The noodles are amazing, the veggies are always fresh and the service is great. I don't eat pork so I always have them clean the grill before they cook my food. I'm sure its a bummer for them but they're always very friendly and super accommodating which I appreciate so much. Great place to go for Mongolian. read more

i like the food here but I'm considering taking this off my rotation of places I do repeat visits to because it seems like the bowl sizes are shrinking while the prices are rising. Pay for refills? Charge more for a "large" bowl thats pretty much the same size as the tiny regular bowl? I shouldnt drop $10 at a casual place like this and leave hungry. read more
