Of all the Moncler stores I've been to, the San Francisco store has TERRIBLE customer service. A pocket zipper broke on my Moncler jacket. I brought it to the store for repair. The rep took my jacket to the back only to tell me come back tomorrow because they are busy and didn't bother to check if there is a replacement part. Mind you I arrived before the store closed. The repair takes about 5 minutes. I asked if the part is available, the rep said we can check tomorrow when you come back when it's less busy. Ok, WTF. read more

I bought my wife a jacket for the holidays, but she wasn't sure if it was the right fit. we went back to exchange and were helped by a supervisor and he was quite difficult to work with. We felt rushed, marginalized and he treated up apathetically. we ultimately felt forced to leave with a jacket we were not happy with and hated the entire experience. A couple weeks later we went back and were helped by Vanessa and she is amazing! She was patient, super knowledgable and I would go back just to work with her again. If you end up chopping here I would wait for Vanessa or try to book an appointment with her. she really made the experience a pleasure. read more

Uhh, did I really just spend 2 hours in one store on a day I'm not even supposed to shop?! Seriously, the service here is AHMAZING! My friend and I decided to visit the store because we have never been inside this boutique in San Francisco. And since my friend is very keen on getting the same exact jacket that James Bond wore in one of his movies, we were on a mission!! Every single item that we wanted to try on was either sold out or they didn't have our sizes. We were told that the middle of January isn't the best time to visit the shop as a lot of the items already purchased. So, definitely keep that in mind if you have a desired item that you really want to purchase. However, our sales person, Saldana (I think that's her because it says so on the reciept LOL), was so attentive and dedicated and determined to find us something that we would like. She not only checked the entire store for us, including inventory, she also called other boutiques to search for our items. This girl is AWESOME!! She deserves her own Yelp review lol. Ask for her if you're thinking of visiting! But anyway, my friend walked away with nothing because he couldn't find anything that he liked. PART I (PART II attached as photo) It is utterly disgusting the level of unprofessionalism and discrimination my friend and I experienced, especially involving the store manager, Dien Nguyen. I urge everyone to stay away from this location to avoid any interaction with this team. Their superiority complex from working with luxury goods prevents them from providing any level of genuine customer service. Our experience began before we even set a foot in the door. We were given an opportunity for a special discount and my friend only had to make an appointment to come in, given the current COVID restrictions. The team at the store confirmed the time/date, but then at the very last minute said we could no longer come at that time. Curious about any miscommunication, my friend called to clarify since she had to make childcare arrangements and does live over an hour away. She was told by an employee they needed to accommodate their "real clients" and they were overwhelmed with their schedule. That of course did not sit well being assumed we were not "real clients" just because they knew we were receiving a discount, so with some pushback (rightfully so) they finally agreed to reschedule for a different time that day. My friend let it be at that point and we arrived at the store on time. Once we arrived, we can already sense the tension. Dien introduced herself and began to explain the "rules" for the discount. After being briefed (aka patronized) we continued to shop and try on items. At one point I was asking one employee, Mario, for different sizes and he retorts, "ugh can you just tell me all at once? Anything else? Inventory is 3 levels down." How am I to know the logistics of their store? Isn't his job to assist with finding different sizes to try on and ensure I am happy with the item before buying? At that point we realized we have been the only clients in the store for at least the past 45 minutes so how could it have been such an inconvenience and so overwhelming as they claimed? Once we finally decided what we wanted, we proceeded to check out. There weren't any other hiccups at that point so we were ready to be on our way. However once my friend gave her credit card and signed the receipt, the store manager Dien decided she needed to pull my friend aside and lecture her on whatever issue happened prior to coming in. We could have been long gone but no, she felt compelled enough to give her two cents about the scheduling issue and boldly told my friend that it is a "PRIVILEGE" for us to be there and it's NOT just a free for all for anyone to come in and get what they want. In her mind we forced their hand to reschedule and then we should know better that they're doing US a favor? After we paid her over $1100, she's going to berate/try to humiliate us? And for what? The satisfaction? In response my friend asked if that means they treat other clients different that pay full price and Dien quickly agrees that they do in fact treat their REAL CLIENTS differently. Again, first the employee on the phone and now the STORE MANAGER, makes reference to real clients as opposed to US paying discounted pricing. She began to explain that they don't need to give discounts because they're not going out of business and just doing all of us a favor so we should be thankful. How about she realize we are still paying over $1100 toward their store? Honestly such short-sighted mentality, I can't even believe how far she has gotten in life with that mindset. This is when it began to escalate. As the store manager, Dien should be well versed in de-escalating issues, instead of escalating. However, Dien continued to mock and laugh at my friend for beginning to get upset, while another employee jumped in to try and add on, defending her and the team's actions. I finally tried to intervene but at that point Dien and her team had crossed the line so we immediately left. As we were leaving, they continued to call out "bye have a good day, thank you for coming" in the most ridiculing tone. I find that most tend to have a polar reaction to Moncler: love it or hate it. Well, regardless of your feelings of the brand itself, you can't deny that this store is awesome. Customer service at Moncler SF is second to none. From the get go, they did a great job of making us feel welcome and comfortable. They offered a variety of refreshments and had a nice seating area upstairs in the men's section. Laura was the main person who helped us. She turned the store inside out to find me a new jacket that was exactly what I was looking for. She probably assisted me in trying on almost 15-20 jackets for me alone. When they didn't have our size, she was prompt in checking the availability elsewhere. Laura just made everything simple and easy. She also provided great input here and there regarding fit and style. We really enjoyed our time shopping here. If you like Moncler, then this store is perfect. The sales rep who had assisted me when I initially made my purchase said, in what appeared to be a proactive manner, that I had 60 days to return the item. It turns out that she was purposely vague in her statement as they only accept returns for store credit and do not issue refunds under any circumstances, much to my surprise when I attempted to return my purchase. I brought up the online store's more flexible return policy; however, I was told that the brick and mortar stores and the web store operate independently from one another and therefore have different policies. To make matters worse, I did not see any obvious signs indicating their strict return policy. Upon realizing how fragmented this brand's operations are, I asked the rep a number of questions such as, "Does the store credit expire?", "Can I use this credit for online purchases?", "Can I use this credit at any Moncler brick and mortar Store?", "Can I file a warranty claim online for purchases made at this store?" and so on... (Answers: No, No, Yes, No). I stopped after the rep got annoyed at what I thought were completely valid questions, especially given the circumstance. Overall, my experience at this store left a bad taste in my mouth. My experience with this store has been horrible. First, know that their return policy is exchange or store credit only: this is unheard of for a high-end boutique. So make sure there are no impulse buys here. The night I purchased my coat, there was an attempted theft at this store. The scene was chaotic. Perhaps in the confusion the young woman who sold it to me neglected to tell me about their return policy. A few days later, the person I gave coat to as a gift, didn't like it. Moncler isn't something she wants. The store is firm about their return policy and said they would give me store credit. They will not issue a refund. Had I know there was no possibility for a refund, I would not have purchased coat. Manager insists policy is first. *** I was contacted by another manager of the boutique. They were very apologetic. They offered to fix the problem any way possible. I took the coat back and spoke to manager who offered all options. The person I was with tried on several coats and found one she loved. All was well. The point here is that Moncler didn't just leave me dissatisfied, they actually handed me off to someone who was kind, considerate and apologetic. This person, Mario was very empathetic and solved our problem. If you're looking to shop here, ask for Mario! read more

I picked out a jacket over Thanksgiving holiday that was a little small but nonetheless a very nice jacket. I ended up feeling different about it a couple weeks later and called the boutique to see if they could help at all. Mario the manager was extremely helpful. This is my second one-star review, my first being about a year and a half ago. Apparently little has changed. The issue is service. I guess if you walk into the store and want to purchase something they have in stock, service can be good. Ask them to get something in, and that's a very different story. Last time they "lost my phone number." But it's funny how they got in touch with me as soon as I posted the review. (And I subsequently raised the review to four stars.) This time, I emailed one of the salespeople at the store about a piece. No response. I followed up five days later. No response. I guess they can't be bothered, and could care less about my business. Their loss...I'm done trying. Not too far away is Burberry, with always-exemplary service and, frankly, imo, better style, and two British royal warrants: "outfitters" and "weatherproofers." read more

Really great experience! All started with a phone call asking for a size in a particular style that I wanted to exchange from a purchase in the NY store. I spoke with Mario (manager), and he could not have been more helpful! Although they did not have exactly what I was looking for he pulled a couple of things aside he thought I might like. I went in the following day, and the good experience continued, I liked what was pulled aside, and they did the exchange. The staff was very nice, as well as helpful. I generally do not shop Union Square as I feel you are generally treated like a tourist, absolutely NOT the case at Moncler! I will definately go back to this store! read more

Customer service here is impeccable! Not all high-end boutiques have this level of customer service and care. Special thanks to Mario for helping me with a size exchange on a jacket my husband bought me. There were some complications with the exchange, but Mario made a few international phone calls (which kept him past closing hours) and I was able to walk out with a jacket that I absolutely adore. Staff was also very professional and friendly while we were waiting. Tip for a newbie shopper - their stores are not linked together in their database, so returns and exchanges for purchases made outside of the US in a different currency are not accepted. Great products, the quality is amazing but the sales assistants at that location are snobby and a little condescending. FYI - They will also follow you all around the store (just to make sure you don't smuggle a couple of jackets pass the massive security guard at the front door). I then ordered a couple of jackets from their online store - my computer is a lot more pleasant than the staff there.... one of the the jacket I received wasn't what I wanted and here is the catch. 1. moncler.com has no live customer service. you exchange emails with their customer reps group through a generic email (never the same one, it goes to a pool). 2. they use a 3rd party shipping company to handle the orders and returns. Not efficient and that company handle shipping for 40 other brands. Exchanging anything is almost impossible. 3. which brings me to my 3rd point. what ever resolution you get on #1 with their reps, will not be followed through at #2 step by the warehouse... They have a lot to improve if they want to truly claim to be a high end store. A nice staff would go a long way as a start read more

I recently had some inquiries regarding some pending charges that were incurred on my account. Mario, the manager, did the due diligence and took the initiative to follow up with the appropriate folks, then got back to me on a timely basis. Laura did a great job and had the appropriate expertise to help us select the right clothing for us. Admittedly, we are quite picky as far as style/vogue; but Laura showed absolutely no signs of impatience or frustration - we only felt complete positive vibes from her, like she was genuinely happy to assist us. read more

After stopping by Moncler boutique on Union Square on my way from work, it quickly became one of my favorite designer stores in SF. It has a friendly atmosphere. Lots of high end and quality made winter jackets, shoes and other goodies. The store has a very impressive collection for any season of the year. The store personnel are very knowledgeable and helpful, especially Mario and Ashley who love and know fashion. They helped me pick out the outfits that look great on me. Not happy with Moncler. I am and have been a personal shopper for over 25 years. I've dealt with numerous high end stores in Union Square. I also prefer to give a positive review rather then negative, but a negative one in this case is warranted. I was given a gift 5 years ago a beautiful jacket. (Expensive Moncler puffer jacket, very unique) on receipt of the jacket I thought it was a beautiful gesture, but the zipper was crap. I was very surprised they'd put a zipper of this quality on their products. Well jump ahead to a few days ago as my zipper started to fail. (I do not wear this jacket often). I took it in and was told I'd be called about repair. They called a day or so later saying they have the zipper and I could bring it in to have it replaced. Evidently the zippers have been upgraded! I was happy until the sales person said it would be $125 to replace it. This was a crap zipper on a high quality luxury brand. I believe they should have made good on this. I was told there was a 2 year warranty on the jacket. How is the consumer supposed to know that? Louis Vuitton across the street gave me a new wallet when mine started to fall apart after 5 years due to a design flaw. Just like this issue. A major design flaw.
