When we went down for dinner, they were closed. We missed out on making a reservation at another restaurant in the building and ate at the bar. Upon further review of the website, it does say they are no longer doing dinner because of Covid 19 (it's now 2023) and I'm unclear why they would let us believe they were open. I'll be back in April and will update if I can get there while they are open.

It was like listening to kids off the school bus talking about what's up , what server doing later ... etc.... "Oh my god" comments. Etc... One tv was playing a stream of you tube videos. ... a channel? Of "sensational " ping pong balls hit into solo cups.... A little immature but then again I'm pushing 60 I liked that the servers felt comfortable and liked their jobs. It's a young persons vibe....real young. The bar area felt a bit open. Tall ceiling. It was a little cold. The two bar tv's were silent. And too far to the right or left to feel like you could get lost in the moment. Tap Beer was cold , selection was 6. Minimal. Food. I had the salmon. Medium portion Crispy exterior , cooked to just a little dry. I wasn't a fan of the sweet glaze. I like less. Less is more on salmon. Opinion. The Brussels sprouts were good. The sweet potato mash was an Excellent idea. Excellent. For the salmon meal. It was watered didn't too much with. Chicken broth ? I'd prefer a less modified product in general. That the theme of critique from me. If the chef tried less hard to put his her own spin on the flavors. Or used less. I'd have enjoyed the rooty basic flavors of Mother Earth better. Don't get me wrong. I'd eat here again The salmon again. It's just not 5 stars. Good job.

The interior dining area is nice, modern, folksy with the upholstered pleather chairs at the table. Has a small and rather limited menu though. We ordered the yogurt parfait, avocado toast on sour dough bread and steel cut oats and a plain black coffee. The steel cut coats is good, the oats are smaller cut, which I like. The blackberry compote is good on top of it. The yogurt, granola and blueberry parfait is good. Think it would be even better with a berry compote for added flavor to it. The avocado toast looks decent, but there is barely any avocado smashed onto the sour dough at all. It's quite skimpy. The coffee is average, so was our service, better with another staffer that had noticed our food order was not actually put in by our first waitress.

The margaritas were not very good it tasted like there was sprite or something in them, almost had a carbonation in them. We had a lime one and a passion fruit. The espresso martini was my favorite. I would recommend that. We arrived to enjoy the happy hour menu, $4 margaritas and $8 espresso martini, we ordered the lux signature burger and it was good, although it was a smash burger it didn't seem grilled it seemed more steamed. It didn't have the crispness that is expected with a smash burger. The waffle fries were okay, the fries were way better. The amount of fries and waffle fries were not big at all. I feel the kids meal got more sides than the meal did. The kids meal chair tenders were huge, you received two and a good amount of fries. The tenders are definitely not made in house and they tasted frozen and can taste the fryer. All in all it wasn't bad but I have had better. I still think it's worth going to and trying something else.

One of my favorite things about Gather is honestly the staff. Sometimes when you go to a nicer restaurant, the service can feel a little intimidating or overly formal, but that has never been my experience here. The servers are always incredibly friendly, welcoming, and down-to-earth while still being knowledgeable and attentive. It makes the whole experience feel special without making you feel like you have to be on your best behavior just because you're eating somewhere nice. And the food is SO good. This is one of those places where I genuinely feel like you can order almost anything on the menu and be happy. Every dish I've tried has been flavorful, thoughtfully put together, and just really well executed. There's clearly a lot of care that goes into the ingredients and the way everything is prepared. It feels creative and elevated, but not so experimental that you're wondering what you're eating. It's still food you actually want to eat -- just done really, really well. The drinks are great too. They have a really nice selection, and the cocktails feel like they fit the restaurant perfectly: interesting enough to be memorable, but still approachable and actually enjoyable to drink. It's definitely the kind of place where I want to order a cocktail, take my time, and make a whole evening out of dinner. Also, DO NOT leave without going downstairs to see their indoor growing space. They grow leafy greens right there in the restaurant, and it is genuinely so cool to see. It's such a unique little part of the experience and makes you appreciate the whole farm-to-table concept even more when you can literally see some of the food being grown downstairs. Even if you're not normally someone who gets excited about that kind of thing, it's worth checking out. The restaurant itself is also just a really cute spot. It feels nice enough for a date night or special dinner, but still relaxed enough that you could come with friends and have a fun, comfortable night out. Overall, Gather is an easy recommendation for me. Amazing food, great drinks, genuinely kind and friendly service, a beautiful atmosphere, and the bonus of getting to see their indoor farm downstairs. It's one of those restaurants where the whole experience feels thoughtful from beginning to end. Definitely check it out -- and seriously, go downstairs!

This was my #1 restaurant to visit again after our trip 2 years ago. Overall I'm glad we came here…read moreagain, we just had one disappointment each. First, the good: --The cocktail I had was delightful--the Pom Sevyn-Five. It had gin, rosemary and sugared cranberries. Those little pieces of sweet cranberry were like little surprise bits of joy. I really, really enjoyed that cocktail. --The seared farro salmon was the best salmon I think I've ever eaten. It was so incredibly crispy and crunchy on the outside. I didn't realize until I was a quarter of the way through but the skin was on top and it was like a cracker, it was so crispy. I loved it! Oh and the farro with sweet potatoes and little cherry toms were such a fun combination. I cleaned my plate. --My husband enjoyed most of his fried chicken. He really liked the super crunchy texture of the coating... mostly. He also enjoyed the pasta. Now the bad: --my husband did not like where the tomato sauce on the crispy fried chicken made the coating turn very mushy. This really needs to be on the side as maybe a dipping sauce so the crispy crunchy coating isn't turned into literal mush. The coating was so well executed but then that sauce ruined every place it touched. --my huge major disappointment was in the pumpkin cheesecake! I took a slice home to enjoy later that night. I was really looking forward to a delicious piece of cheesecake. When I opened the box, I thought maybe they accidentally gave me a brownie but nope, it was just dark (see my pic for the entire piece). I thought, well the brown butter pecans will be a nice touch. I wish I had tried the cheesecake without the topping because I would have cut off all the overcooked dark top before pouring on the best part of the dish. It was so dry and crumbly and burned tasting. The brown sugar pecans were a wonderful topping, but that cheesecake could not have been more overcooked. And that ruined the whole dessert. It wasn't creamy. It was dry and crumbly. The topping was the best part and that's just sad. I was so disappointed that I spent $12 on the worst piece of cheesecake I've ever had. I'll put it this way, if I had been served that piece at the restaurant, I don't care who I was with, I would have sent it back. I know the baker just lost track of the time and it got over baked. It shouldn't have been served. If that's how it was meant to be, I just don't buy that. No baker wants cheesecake to be dry, crumbly and literally burned tasting. I'd go back again for that salmon any day. But I'd just skip dessert.
