Mom's Kitchen seemed to be one of the local's favorite breakfast diners in the area. If you aren't bothered by high foot traffic, packed dining area, loud noise, but decent food, this is the spot for you. First thought that came to my mind upon entering the restaurant was organized chaos. It was busy and chaotic but everyone there seemed to know exactly what needed to be done to tend to each and every customer. We were seated after a few minutes of wait time. The black coffee was okay. The food was okay, little too greasy for our tastes, but it was served while hot. Our server Michelle was very patient with her coworkers and customers which enhanced our dining experience. Food 3/5. Ambiance 3/5. Service by Michelle 4/5. The reason why I am giving this place 2/5 stars is because I want others to be aware of how rude service by an employee named Amanda can affect the restaurant's image. Server named Amanda who works there was very rude in how she carried herself, yelling at her coworkers with attitude, not an ounce of positivity, and shaking her head at customers while passing by tight space with food in her hands. She is one reason we won't be returning here, and we definitely don't recommend this place to anyone. We believe hospitality is one of the reasons why people visit mom and pop restaurants and become regulars there over other major chain restaurants. It was embarrassing for me to have taken someone here who was visiting from out of the country because of decent reviews, only to have her experience Amanda's rudeness and unprofessionalism. *Please learn to respect your customers and restrain your dislike for people when you are clocked in Amanda. We won't be returning so you won't have to worry about us, but for the sake of future customers. Being nice won't hurt.

This place is always our local favorite! Delicious food, the service is great and they make you feel like family. We love this place and highly recommend it!

10-10-25. What a fantastic spot. I was staying at a friend's house for a few days and one of his neighbors recommended this spot. Went there with 4 others and they all ordered a variation of steak and eggs while I ordered the pork chops and eggs. All the breakfasts come with home fries or grits and your choice of bread. On our waitress Amanda's recommendation, we also ordered a stack of pancakes which she said was one of their "signature" items, which were a little different than your average pancakes because they were made with a sweet cream batter. She wasn't lying ....... they were awesome. They have some good looking lunch and dinner selections as well. The staff was super friendly and helpful. It's not a big place and it seemed like it's always crowded (which is an awesome sign you're getting good food with fast turnover). The wait was very reasonable.....only 15 minutes on a Saturday morning. They have quite a selection of baked items, so we felt the need to also order a few pieces of assorted pies to go. The food was really good, the prices were very reasonable and the service was excellent......all in a comfortable, friendly setting which made for a very pleasant dining experience. I'll definitely be returning.

Come to Mom's Kitchen every few weeks and today's special was snapper Franchese which I jumped at the minute the waitress spoke those words. Turned out the portion is huge and well made. Never had a bad meal here. And their breakfast is huge too.

If you are looking for that home cooked, all vintage style restaurant, this is the place! Open since 1962, they are mom's style cooking with so many great options on the menu. Also, be sure to check out all the daily specials and the group of dessert on the chalkboard. We decided to go with breakfast for lunch and had the Italian omelet with well-done hashbrowns and an English muffin. My friend had the Challah French toast with bacon and 2 eggs. There was plenty of good home cooked food, and we shared. The omelet was perfectly made (could have been a little larger), but delicious Hadhbrown cooked the way I liked it. The French toast was plentiful, and the bacon was crispy. Jo-jo, our server, was beyond sweet, and she made sure that my ice tea was full at all times. Small little place. we had no wait today, but I heard you could wait 30 min or more some mornings.

The food here was good. It felt like "comfort food" type breakfast that someone made at their house. Nothing special really stands out w the food and flavor. The service during our first time was actually on point. The people there were very nice, welcoming and attentive. Ambiance is okay. It's a very small space so when it's busy it's kinda overwhelming w the close crowds. The building itself is a bit older too so cleanliness is a little not up to par for myself (this last bullet is personal opinion) I would go back probably on a non weekend/busy day. But not on my top list of breakfast places for south Florida

As would be expected with a condo, there is very little guest parking - maybe 9 spaces- and they were all full. Thus, I parked on the street behind the condo. There is lots of free street parking all over this area, which is mostly residential. There is some construction being done on the front and side of the building, so the entrance is a little hard to find. It is on the West side of the building, and it doesn't look like the entrance to a restaurant AT ALL! Just a side door propped open with a large, wooden, hand-painted sign next to it announcing the Cafe. I walked into the door and accidentally turned into the kitchen. The cook greeted me warmly and redirected me down the other hallway. I loved this place already! The Cafe looks like an old Southern diner, in a very not-decorated-by-a-designer way, which felt very homey to me. Two diners greeted us when we came in, we sat ourselves at a booth table, and eventually our wonderfully eclectic and kind storytelling waitress brought us menus. The menus are lovingly written in a colloquial, storytelling style that is fun and warm to read. Otherwise, the peeling laminate menus are wonderfully non designed also, and again, I love this! The board of daily specials was special with cornbread french toast amongst the items. I loved seeing more than one regular menu item I have never seen anywhere else (grits inside an egg wrap. My friend chose a breakfast quesadilla. I chose to make my own meal by ordering a slice of (heavily touted on the menu) banana bread, hashbrown casserole, and grits with cheese. I loved every bite! The hashbrown casserole was giant, and crisped all over the outside, so cutting it open was a treat- delicious. The banana bread was light, moist, and also delicious. The grits with cheese were nothing different or special, which was exactly as I expected. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to this quirky hidden cafe! Shoot! I am already craving hashbrown casserole and banana bread again...

We came here for dinner last night and we were seated with a direct ocean view. This is one of the few places that is literally on the beach that you can have dinner. It was around 7 PM so there was shade and cool evening ocean breezes We ordered the whole snapper which was a whopping 2 1/2 pounds and the grouper. The snapper was obviously meant for two people because of the amount of rice and vegetables they included with the snapper. It was excellent. The grouper came in some type of coconut sauce, which was amazing. We were dipping our snapper in the sauce for the grouper. If I was to make any type of recommendation, I would recommend adding a side of this sauce to the snapper and that would just make it a perfect dish I had a watermelon Mojito. The drinks here are ridiculously expensive at $17 a cocktail. And it's not like they come in a huge glass. They come in a regular wine glass. They do say that all the ingredients are natural and nothing is artificial, so maybe it's worth it to pay that much to not have a bunch of junk in your drinks. The service was slow. Although friendly. When we arrived, there was not that many people eating so I was surprised when after 30 minutes we still had not gotten the cocktails. Our waiter said it was because there was only one bartender and he was 15 minutes behind on his orders. I find this pretty amazing that a restaurant like Benny's cannot hire more than one bartender so that the people who come and pay what is not really a moderate amount but pretty expensive for their entrées, but still have to wait 20 minutes to get their drinks. It was only for this that I took off a star. When I order a cocktail, I like it brought out within five minutes and not to drink during my dinner. Dinner was also very slow and we got our entrées about 45 minutes after our order. But all in all, it was an amazing experience and we will be back.

After dinner we watched the sunset on the pier. Benny's change $1 per person to access their pier but it's so worth it.
