Pretty boba shop with okay tea. I got the white peach oolong milk tea with 50% sugar and less ice. The drink wasn't cold at all, so it seemed like there was no ice. It honestly just tasted like a peach oolong tea without the milk. It was very watery. The tea was very strong as I felt pretty jittery afterwards and couldn't sleep at night, even though I got it in the late morning. I paid $7 in cash because they give a 10% discount with cash. They clearly have a restroom that is blocked off with a sign that says no public restrooms. This feels wrong for a boba shop to block it off to paying customers.
Pretty pinks and florals fill the space. There's a table on one end and some stools lining the wall on the other. I ordered a gardenia hot milk tea and was offered a whipped cream topping with pecans, which was delicious and comforting. It also helped warm me up in the chilly San Francisco weather. There is a screen to order but the cashier said she can help me when I walked in. Nice location near Golden Gate Park and a comfortable place to hang out for a little.
I see what people mean when they say this can be a similar fix to Molly Tea if you're craving it but don't want to make the drive out there. I love the idea, ambiance, and overall concept, but in the end, I found this place to be just okay. Maybe it was what I ordered, but I just wasn't a fan and ended up not finishing my drink, which I normally would. What I ordered: Osmanthus Oolong Milk Tea DRINK: 7/10 My drink was very floral and "perfumey," and the aftertaste was quite bitter and lingered for a while. After a few sips, I felt like the bitterness started to overpower the drink and alter the overall taste. SERVICE: 9/10 You can order through the self-kiosk or with a staff member. Service was fairly quick, and the staff member who served me was very nice. AMBIANCE: 10/10 This is where they shine. Very kawaii and visually appealing from left to right, no matter where you look. I loved all the little trinkets they had displayed, and even their menu is really eye-catching. I don't necessarily feel the need to go back, but if I'm in the area again and looking for a boba spot, I wouldn't mind stopping by.
Was pleasantly surprised by this place! Honestly a hidden spot on Irving St., I highly recommend the grape lemon tea drink with 50% sweet it was very refreshing
I've walked by Momo so many times during my neighborhood walks and always thought it was such a cute spot! I never stopped in because I was on a mission to get my steps in, and I didn't want to defeat the purpose by rewarding myself with milk tea. But one day I finally said YOLO, and went in to try their traditional milk tea, and I'm so glad I did! The tea flavor really stood out. Unlike some places where the drink tastes like mostly milk with a hint of tea, Momo's milk tea had a rich, bold tea flavor that came through in every sip. It was smooth, well-balanced, and not overly sweet. The boba was soft, chewy, and had the perfect texture. It was such a satisfying treat after my walk and definitely hit the spot. I usually order a traditional milk tea when trying a new boba shop because I think it's the best way to tell if they make a good drink. Momo definitely passed the test! I totally forgot to take a photo because I was too excited to drink it, but their cups are adorable too. If you're in the area, definitely stop by and give them a try. I'll definitely be back to work my way through the rest of their menu!
CUTE SPOT!!! Tryin' to find a parking spot can be a struggle--may the parking gods be with you! I stopped by because I'd heard they have bold tea flavors, and they did not disappoint me. The tea is strong and definitely provides the caffeine kick I was looking for. Jasmine milk tea was good. Dahongpao milk tea, IMO, was even stronger. Definitely coming back for more!
Great place to go to if you're craving molly tea, but can't get to molly tea lol. The drinks and the overall vibe is very similar. I think molly tea has better tea, but this place has enough similarities where the craving can still be met. The osmathus jasmine milk tea is my favorite - great flavor and not too sweet if you get the less sweet option. We came here on a Sunday afternoon and there was no one there, so service was very fast and efficient. The seating area is also very cute - lots of cute figurines across the store.
Solid bubble, tea spot not too far from Golden Gate Park that kind of reminds me of a Chagee (but the tea is less fragrant). It's never been too busy inside when I've gone. The menu is slightly more akin to ones you see at bubble tea shops in China. I've gotten the Jasmine milk tea a few times in the past and the tick one yen milk, tea and it's pretty fragrant and the cream top is very whipped, almost like whip cream on the top with pecans in it, there's also a few tables inside if you need to sit down or want a space to quickly chat with friends. Cutely decorated with a lot of pink and overall peaceful vibes.
This place gives Molly Tea vibes. I think they are own by similar people. But the teas are not as good as Molly Tea. I would probably pass on this place in the future. Plus there is only one person working so you will be waiting a while for your order.
Heard Momo Tea was like a Molly tea dupe and it was on doordash so I decided to try it. I could taste the tannins and that covered the florals of the Jasmine and Gardenia aroma. I got 100% sugar even though 50% was recommended and my drink was not sweet at all.
Momo Tea is a really solid spot for quality milk tea! So far, for the drinks, I've tried: + Gardenia Milk Tea: nice light green tea flavor and floral aroma. One of the lower caffeine tea options - good for later in the day so that the caffeine doesn't disrupt sleep. + Osmanthus Oolong Milk Tea: also nice and floral, medium oolong flavor. + Da Hong Pao Milk Tea: a richer oolong flavor, but not bitter. Stronger caffeine. + Narcissus Milk Tea: the strongest one I've tried so far, a hint of bitterness. For all of them, I got 50% sugar and less ice, which was the perfect sweetness level for me (not too sweet). I also recommend getting them with the whipped cream and pecans topping if it's an option. It adds another level of decadence - the roasted pecans are so good! I also tried the Original Egg Puff (good) and Dark Chocolate Egg Puff (meh - the chocolate chips in it were too sweet, and the egg puff waffle part wasn't crispy like the original one was). I do wish there were smaller sizes offered; the only size available is a large cup. The shop has cute decorations inside and seating for several small parties to sit and chat. Service has consistently been great each time. I'll definitely be back to try more of the other teas offered!
The osmanthus jasmine milk tea was very fragrant. The whipped cream with pecan on top added richness to the drink. There was no line on a Friday late afternoon and my order was made quickly. There was little seating inside.
Momo tea is a great little tea spot on Irving that does the job when you're craving milk teas. Ordered the Dao Hong Pao milk tea and liked the strong milk tea flavor. They also had interesting flavors like yuzu, coconut milk teas etc. that I'd want to try on my next visit! Service was easy self- service ordering at a kiosk or ordering with the customer service team at the front. My drink came out quickly and the staff were friendly. The interior was cute and pink and looked like a good spot to hang out at. It has some seating, which is nice as some boba shops are grab and go. Parking is metered street parking or residential parking.
Got the Pistachio Jasmine Coconut Tea and it was lovely! Fragrant tea, nice salted pistachio cream top--very refreshing & not too sweet at all. Easy ordering system with the kiosk. Cute interior. Quick service as well (: read more

Came here for the first time and I was intrigued by the interior. Very cute decorations and a cozy ambiance. We ordered through the kiosk and our drinks were made fairly quickly. I tried their Black Pink Latte with 100% sugar and crystal boba. I was pretty disappointed with it to be honest. The drink description is "hojicha with rose coconut milk", and it was pretty hard to distinguish either flavors. Hojicha is a very specific warm, roasted and nutty flavor. However, the flavor of this drink was sort of like a combination of black coffee and black tea. It was very bitter before mixing it in with the coconut milk. The flavor of the rose was very subtle, making the drink a creamy bitter coffee/tea with an after taste of rose. I'm willing to come back to try a different tea and positively update this review. read more

This is a really cute, small boba shop that I found when I was near Golden Gate Park on a nice walk. I saw their Blackpink drink, which looked super aesthetic, and I was in the mood to try a new flavor outside of my typical boba order, so I gave it a try. The drink was really aesthetic! It looked a little different than the picture, but that's to be expected. I think the Blackpink drink is better suited for people who don't love a super sweet drink and enjoy a bit more of a charcoal flavor. It wasn't quite something I would get again, but I know I tend to like things on the sweeter side. The staff was so kind, and the interior is super cute and very pink. They also have a lot of options on their menu, so if I'm back in the Golden Gate Park area, I'd definitely stop by again and try my standard brown sugar boba! read more

Teas were great! Good flavor and lots of caffeine :) We got the Peach Oolong Milk Tea and the Camellia Milk Tea. Place was very cute inside - points for playing Twice on the tv! Ordering was very easy on of the tablet. Would visit this place again! read more

Cute shop with tasty boba! I tried the jasmine milk tea, and it was light with good flavor. The boba had great texture--I was surprised because I was expecting the more jelly-like crystal boba, but these had a really nice soft chew. Will try to come back soon! read more
Cute vibes, good drinks. Ordered the white orchid milk tea and the jasmine milk tea (each with option to add on whipped cream and/or pecans), which had a nice tea flavor that didn't taste artificial. The whipped cream was surprisingly not sweet at all - I think I would have preferred a bit sweeter (normally not a person who likes too sweet things) as I didn't even notice it in the drink. Overall, good place for drinks. read more
Heard this place was the Molly Tea duped, so I had to try it out!! I like my milk tea - strong tea flavor and this place delivered. I got the Gardenia Milk Tea with the whipped cream. Came here bc I heard it was similar to Molly tea! Overall it tasted less strong as Molly tea (a bit watered down) but I'd like to come back to try their other drinks. Maybe adjusting the sweetness will help? Ordered: gardenia milk tea and moonlight lemon tea. Both with less sweetness and less ice. Highlight: the whipped cream and nuts were delish (I could eat by the spoonful). Ive never had anything like the moonlight tea (almost like a lemon bar but in drink form)! Other notes: if you pay in cash, you get a 10% discount read more
Located in the Inner Sunset District of SF, Momo Tea was a random stop as we wanted to get some after lunch refreshments. The suite had a prominent pink color with lots of Chinese calligraphy. Seating was quite limited as there were maybe two tables and a benchtop. A menu screen was displayed at the service counter next to the register. Drinks ranged between $6.50 and $7.50. There were less than 20 total choices across the categories of Fresh Milk Tea, Lemon Tea, and Specials (lattes). My choice was a Coconut Lemon Tea with less ice and regular sugar. I also requested crystal boba as a topping. The only other topping option was aloe which I didn't want. The tartness of the lemon tea significantly overshadowed the coconut flavor. The boba chewiness was good, however the $6.99 cost for a 16 oz serving was steep. The fresh milk teas were probably the way to go if you come here. I gave a three star rating for our visit to Momo Tea. read more

Such a cute cafe in inner sunset. Super fragrant tea drinks, similar to Molly Tea, with more drink variety and snacks. Order at kiosk or counter, there is 10% cash discount available. I ordered the Osmanthus Jasmine Milk tea with no whip cream ($6.99, but with tax is $7.60). Milk options are whole milk and oat milk. Milk tea has some foam on top, very fresh with strong Jasmine tea. If you want more tea flavor, go with less sugar, I think half sugar is best. To drink, you will be provided with a 3 hole straw which is supposed to make you sip slower and savor the tea flavors. Definitely would try the yuzu lemon tea next. read more
I've been here a lot and never been disappointed! Momo tea has converted me into a milk tea drinker! I used to prefer fruit teas but I feel like the teas here are so good (I get dairy free milk options), I've really enjoyed them. There's limited topping options, I usually get crystal boba or red bean. They have a cute pink interior with a few seating/table options read more
Firstly, I love the cute pink & blue colors of their cups. The pretty decor reminds me of Xianxia fantasy land. The teas are also pretty unique and quite good. I'm partial to tea with citrus in it so I like the taste of the Coconut Lemon Tea out of the few I sampled. Located on Irving and 7th Ave. read more
I went to Momotea in the late afternoon and there was no line. The staff was friendly and you can order from the kiosk or the front. I ordered the white peach oolong milk tea with no sugar and it was delicious. I asked if I should use the thick straw or that super thin straw and the staff said the thin straw. For the future I would use the thicker straw because I can slurp up the cream and pecan nuts that are on top of the drink. Was having difficulty drinking it with the thinner straw. Next time I will try the other flavored drink on the menu since they look so appealing. Only downside is that Momotea doesn't offer tapioca boba. read more
Came on a Sunday at around 11:30AM and there was no line. I was surprised about how cute the interior of the store is! The decorations are really cute, especially with the pink colors! The Da Hong Pao Milk Tea had a good amount of tea flavor, but it still tasted pretty milky, probably due to the whipped cream. The boba was a little bit too overcooked. I would come back to try a different drink though! read more

If you want stronger tea flavors, this is the spot. We tried the narcissus milk tea and the dahongpao milk tea-- both had great floral, oolong flavors. I love how more shops are focused on the tea rather than the toppings and sweetness. We will definitely be coming back! There are surprisingly quite a bit of chairs in here- we fit our party of 7 at one of the tables here. Service was very quick and you can tell each drink is made fresh. It's so cute and pink in here which automatically makes the experience more fun. read more
Wanted to come here since I've never been there before and the designs in the cups were so pretty. The area had 1-2 small tables to sit at. Ordering on the machine was very easy. However, my group and I ordered only 3 drinks and I noticed that other parties that ordered after us were getting their drinks first even though they ordered more than us. I got the Dahongpao milk tea with boba and the drink itself does have a strong tea taste. I wished that there was a little bit more sweetness to it. The boba itself didn't have any flavor and the consistency wasn't chewy. read more

We heard that this place is very similar to Molly Tea and it's true!! Drinks we ordered: White Peach Oolong Milk Tea: Less sugar 50%, No Cream and No Pecan, with Oat Milk. This drink was very refreshing! Can definitely taste the white peach. Just the right amount of sweetness. The drink container is so cute and aesthetically pleasing!! Twilight Lemon Tea: Less Sugar 50%. Very light and flavorful. The staff was very friendly. Our drinks came out within a few minutes of us ordering via the touch pad in the store. We are looking forward to coming back here soon!! read more

Momo Tea is such a cute pink boba shop. They have cute seasonal window decals, which alone are worth admiring. You order your drinks via the cashier or on their single kiosk. They don't have a huge variety of drinks, which is nice for those of us who are very indecisive. Their tea based drinks are delicious and I could taste the tea. So far, I've tried the osmanthus oolong milk tea and jasmine milk tea, and I've enjoyed them both. I recommend Momo Tea and would return when I'm in the neighborhood. read more
I stopped by Momo Tea after having lunch since I needed a caffeine boost and ordered the peach oolong milk tea at less sugar and no cream/pecans. It's quite good, the tea is fragrant. However, it doesn't match up to Molly Tea (who I'm assuming it attempts to mimic with the pink interior and cream/pecan toppings), since Molly Tea is a lot lighter and more fragrant. However, South Bay is so far away and the drink quantity is ginormous- this is a decent dupe! Glad that they offer boba at this spot and not just crystal like Molly does. read more

Super-cute milk tea joint. I got an avocado sandwich and their Signature Narcissus Oolong Milk Tea:, which their website describes as: "A Creamy, Nutty Delight, Novelty Experience: Introducing one of Momo Tea's signature drinks: the Narcissus Oolong Milk Tea with fresh cream and pecans. This delightful blend combines the smooth, naturally fragrant oolong tea with the richness of fresh cream, creating a silky texture that's both refreshing and indulgent. The crunchy pecans add a perfect nutty touch, enhancing the tea's layers of flavor. Each sip offers a balance of creamy goodness and subtle oolong notes, making it a must-try for anyone seeking a truly unique and satisfying tea experience." I ordered with 25% sugar which was plenty sweet for my taste, and added crystal boba. I was served with a sincere smile and a warning that the sandwich was " Very hot." I love floral flavors, so the tea was just perfect. Whipped cream and pecans did a bit decadent take away from the appeal of the drink if they were skipped. The sandwich was perfect: warm and crispy with unadulterated, avocado and enough, but not too much cheese. I was the only customer and it took about 10 minutes so if you want the yummy, cooked to order sandwich (with stars on the toast! )plan accordingly. read more
