Food very good. Opted for Indian this time! Superb service! Very friendly and professional! Nice decor, interesting! Highly recommend! read more

We arrived about 20 minutes before closing and were so grateful they were able to still seat us. It is one of the most beautifully decorated and charming places I've been in a while. The staff was so sweet and excited to have us, even though we were too close to closing time. We got the fried vegetable momo, which came out with two dipping sauces. One was a nice fragrant curry forward sauce and the other was super spicy. I added a little dot of the spicy one on top of the other and it was SO good! We also got thru marinated cucumbers (delicious and spicy) and the gobi Manchurian which was the best I've ever had! I could have eaten two helpings of that with rice and been satisfied. We came here looking for a lovely vegan and vegetarian friendly meal and were so happy! And equally sad that we leave nowhere near here. I can't recommend this place enough! read more

I've come to the realization that I need a bumper sticker along the lines of "I Brake For Momo's." Knowing I was going to be in the Pougkeepsie area for a meal later in the day, I checked to see if any Himilayan/Nepalese restaurants had come to the area. Sure enough, I found Momo Garden. Being convenient to my itinerary, I invited a local friend to join me for a quick lunch (just momo's), and a chance to scope the rest of the menu. Their website and sign say open at noon on Saturdays, but they were already open when I arrived a few minutes before that. We were given hot tea after being seated. I don't know if you always get that (they have a chai on the menu), but because the restaurant was still warming up from the chilly morning, the tea was very welcome. Various other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are also available. Papadam and sauces were also brought to the table. The momo's come in 2 varieties, chicken and vegetable, and you can get them in several ways, including fried, steamed, and Jhol, which is the street-food style served in broth. These were delicious, even better with the dipping sauce. The vegetable ones might fall apart a little bit, so you may want to use a spoon instead of a fork, to be sure you get every bit of the deliciousness. This is a great addition to the area. The rest of the menu will just have to wait until my next visit. read more

We visited here to celebrate my wife's birthday and had a great experience. Sadly, there weren't many people in the restaurant right around dinner time (2 other parties), so I hope business picks up so they can stick around! They came right over with complimentary tea and papadum to start, which was a nice touch. The decor inside is very chic, and there's a a giant map of Nepal on the wall that we forgot to take a photo of...something about situating yourself geographically made sense. For example, we ordered the momos, which were absolutely delectable and tasted sort of like a samosa inside, but were in dumpling form (which you can see on the map might be due to the Indian and Chinese blending?). I almost copped out and did butter chicken, but at the last-minute decided to get the traditional Nepalese dinner (I forget the name, but the staff will help you out). This was so fun, lots of little side dishes, a big pile of rice, some daal, chicken, mushrooms, all super tasty. At the end, they came out with what I thought was melted ice cream but turned out to be a cheese-based dessert with a candle in it...it's not even on the menu but was so different! I'm glad we were able to try it. They sang happy birthday, even though the place was empty by that point, what a nice touch. This is a great spot for date night or even a more casual meal, great food and quick, thoughtful staff. read more

I came to eat inside the restaurant and the food and experience was worse than expected. They only had one person working and she wasn't even trained at making drinks. She was really nice. But if it wasn't for someone else who finally got there, we couldn't even order drinks. And she limited us to their drink menu even tho they have a full bar....that was annoying. How do u not know how to make a mimosa? Literally 2 ingredients The Nepalese food was delicious. I love their momo's. But the Indian food ? We got gobi Manchurian and curry and it did not taste good. Chicken tikka masala tasted like Campbell soup, and the cauliflower was soggy and nor crispy. The flavors were good so I'm willing to try this place a the again. Otherwise, ill just stick to getting their momo's. read more

My friend had her baby shower here and she seemed most pleased. We pretty much had the restaurant to ourselves- very pleasant atmosphere. Overall a nice experience. It took me some time to get my water, even the appetizers came out first which was a little odd but overall service was pretty good. Food was good, I loved the lentil chips and chutneys and naan. I had the Chicken Biryani - it was a lot of chicken and interesting flavor. read more

The food was great, we did take out so we were not expecting super high quality with a 35 minute drive to get home with our dinner. But the place was open and airy the host was very pleasant and brought us some tea while we waited. Prices were fair, proportions were large. I am looking forward to going back and dining in. read more

the food is perfectly spiced, and delicious. Excellent, friendly service as well. Every experience here, has been great. read more

The curry was decent but potion was small. Momo was decent as well while biryana was a big disappointment; flavorless fried rice, not much meat, vegetable or spice. We took home so we could rebook ourselves adding more stuff for flavor. Hubby said lasi was just so so and had a bit of weird taste. Only one server so it's slow. Not planning on going back. read more

We had lunch there on 1126 and really enjoyed our meal. Never having had Nepalize food before , we decided to go with something we knew. We ordered shrimp fried rice and shrimp chow mein and fell in love. We also tried fried dumplings but next time may do steamed. What a delicious meal! My hubby finished it us that night. I was jealous! Go, you'll enjoy it. read more

We love Momo Garden! The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the staff are exceptional. The complimentary papadum, dipping sauces and tea are a wonderful way to start off the meal while looking through the menu. The food is always fresh, hot and delicious. What a hidden gem! read more

Very authentic Himalayan flavors. The cuisine of Nepal takes a blend that take the best aspects of Indian, Middle Eastern and Chinese cuisine and reimagines them in a unique flavor profile. However, Momo Garden is concept created by a family whose attention to detail and service is quite impressive. Delicious food. Lovely restaurant! Great presentation, plus welcoming staff. Tasty and unique for Mid-Hudson area.

I've ordered takeout here a few times, and every time the food has been great! It's ready for pickup very quickly and the staff are very nice. I recommend the daal and chili chicken! I'm very glad this place opened in the 44 Plaza, as I was tired of driving down near the mall for similar cuisine. read more

Dined at Momo Garden for the second time. Love this place. The staff is warm and welcoming. Their food is so fresh and flavorful. I had the jhol chicken momo, chili chicken, and palak paneer. My kids had the Nepali kids platter which was nice since there were different little options they could sample in the one dish (noodles, momo, chicken nuggets, scrambled eggs). So filling and delicious. Prices are great and the decor is a mix of trendy with traditional touches. HIDDEN GEM YOU MUST TRY! read more

Fantastic food! Great service and lovely ambiance. We enjoyed everything we ordered: Mango Lassi Margarita, the Vegetable Momo, chicken Momo, ThaalI, Butter Chicken, Rice Pudding and Rasmalai were all delicious! Highly recommend! read more

Ordered take out, lamb curry. Was underwhelmed. Chunks of lamb in a type of uninteresting brown gravy. But then, exactly 1.5 hours after I finished eating, straight to the toilet to sit down. Probably not the freshest food. Google has them with 25 reviews- all of them 5 star. All of them? They must have lots of friends. read more

Their service was poor. We had ordered our food and it took about half an hour to come. Also only half our food came. The table next to us had ordered after us and they had gotten their food before us. We had ordered the same exact dish. We should have gotten it first. They brought our dishes later on. If you would like to try it there momos are good. I don't think I will be going back. read more

Lovely place, and the staff were great. Better half and I split the vegetable Jhol Momos (dumplings) as an appetizer and they were awesome. She had a butter paneer as her entrée and I had the butter chicken. Both were fabulous, with a butter sauce so good that we added an order of nan (great nan, btw) just to soak up what was left. Great staff, great food. Can't wait to return. read more

This was a delicious retreat from bushwhacking in the woods. The ambience really brought me to the top of Sagarmatha. The thaali was delectable with the various flavors of Nepal immersing me and my compatriots in the culture and beauty of these lands. The complementary tea warmed our souls and prepared our bellies before we gorged ourselves on Momos and entrees. What really immersed me into Nepal was the video of people hiking Sagarmatha (mt Everest) where along the way they pan to a dead body in the ice, reminding us the ephemeral fleeting nature of life, and momos. read more

Fantastic meal all around, don't miss out on the momo's (esp the fried chili chicken)! We had two thali's, which were authentic and plenty of food. Very good value for such a filling and delicious meal. We'll be back. read more

This place is amazing. I had the chicken Momo (dumplings) and it was perfectly cooked. The noodles with shrimp were divine and some of the best I've tried and I really enjoy Asian food.
