We asked to be moved since it was cold and rainy and the door was being thrown open from guests/valet going in and out. Without any hesitation we were moved to a much much more comfortable area. Thank you! We were served by John, he was knowledgeable of the menu and had some great recommendations. We tried the Anthony's Mule drink which is made with a fig vodka. A nice change and very tasty! We were served warm bread and when our appetizer came, they brought more bread for dunking. John was right, we did need more it was sooooooo good in the Clams pot! The clams were a nice size, not tiny, not huge and chewy. Just right! They were served in a pink sauce which we scooped out of the bowl when we were done. It was just that good. I have literally never ordered a chicken parm at a restaurant, I've tried some before and just never really am a fan. But after John told us how good it was, I decided to go for it. I'm so glad I did. The Vodka Parm was soooo tasty! The chicken was breaded perfectly and I ordered it over cavatelli pasta that was cooked nice and al dente. My boyfriend ordered Veal Francese over linguine which he ate the whole thing and loved it as well. There are two bathrooms, I'd recommend going to the one up the steps. The one I have a photo of is fine but the door opens to the dining room so thankfully I remembered to lock it or that would have been awkward lol. It was so immaculately clean the only complaint I have is that the mirror is pretty high up! The restaurant was spotless, everyone was kind and every bite we had was delicious. We will definitely 1000% be back very soon. This place is a gem!

They now have valet parking, but they don't take reservations, despite what's stated on the Internet. Prices have increased and the menu has changed since our visit last year. It's a loud, mostly "smart casual" dressed crowd, and I found myself leaning over the table to enable conversation. Last year, mid-week, it was quiet. Our waitress, Julia, was articulate and very sweet. I ordered the Chicken Sorrentino, which was breaded chicken cutlets with breaded eggplant cutlets in an oily tomato sauce with de minimus infused veggies and melted mozzarella cheese on top. It came with a side dish and I chose the linguine (instead of potato/veggies), but asked for whatever sauce would come with the entrée (instead of marinara, etc.). My dish was delicious, but I became saturated after eating half of it (possibly from the oil or because the portions are so generous), so I took the other half home for another dinner. I purposely didn't order an appetizer to save a little space for dessert and coffee. That said, for starters, they put out complimentary but crude bruschetta for the four of us and they partially sliced about a six or eight inch piece of plain Italian bread in a rattan basket with pats of butter wrapped in foil. I often try the tiramisu for dessert, when available in Italian restaurants. I enjoyed theirs, despite its variant albino appearance (see photo) and flavor. The relative absence of cocoa or espresso initially made me feel as if I had ordered scotch and got a Shirley Temple, but it was still well prepared and went well with coffee.

When we mentioned that we'd still like to stay despite that, since our one-year-old can sit in a regular chair, it felt like a battle just to get one. It was clear that the hostess was eager for us to leave. Our meal felt rushed, as if we were being timed on how quickly we could eat. Her continual glares were uncomfortable, especially since we were seated right next to the hostess stand. It's unfortunate how much a bad hostess can negatively impact a dining experience. I genuinely hope the management realizes this and considers better training for their staff. Overall, this experience made it clear to me that I won't be returning. They really need to work on creating a welcoming environment for families. Especially because of the town they are located in.

Somehow we were unaware of its existence, despite living only a few miles down the road, so we were happily surprised to see a lively crowded bar with a younger group on the right, a high ceiling, well spaced and white-table-clothed tables in the dining area with older adults (like us) on the left. The owner, "Frankee," greeted and seated us. He also dropped by to say hello and chat ... very friendly, and we saw him sit down at two other tables to chat. One time there was a live singer playing an electric keyboard at the far end of the bar, lots of songs we recognized. There were four unoccupied tables on a narrow second floor nook spanning the rear wall, maybe for a small, private party? Both times the service and food were excellent, from the salad to the entrées to the dessert (including great tiramisu). The last time we were there, I snapped a photo of the jumbo shrimp over spinach with oil and garlic, but didn't bother with photos of the dishes with Parmesan cheese because then all you see is mozzarella cheese on top and not what's under it. FYI, a lot of dishes are called "Parmesan" due to the Parmesan style of layering the entrée (whether it be chicken, veal or eggplant) with sauce and cheese. It's moderately priced. Their "half" portions are often enough for two, so you can often order for one, but get enough for two, especially if it's a three-course meal ... just ask for extra plates.

My bf and I came in here on a busy Saturday night without a reservation at 7:30 and only had to wait about 5 mins to be seated which was great! We started off with the mozzarella di bufala alla caprese which was fresh and delicious. Then I had the linguini vongole in a white sauce which was a nice large portion and super tasty. My bf has celiacs disease so he had gluten free pasta with a puttanesca sauce which he said was really good as well. For dessert we had the tiramisu and some of their homemade limoncello which definitely has a kick to it and I highly recommend! Our waiter was super attentive and checked in on us multiple times to make sure we were enjoying our meal. Not sure what restaurant Jane D ate in but she must have mistaken the address for some place else. This has to be the best thing that has happened to Bellmore in a long time. Timmy and Karina are the greatest hosts along with Paul at the bar and their hostess Katrina and the entire attentive staff. The food is amazing. The grilled octopus is wonderful and the veal valdostana is better than anywhere else. Anything can be made to accommodate any dietary needs. The owner even made me chicken meatballs as a request which were awesome with zucchini linguini. Like I said. Doesn't get better than this unless your in Italy! read more

I went last night to Molto Bene thinking that Monday is not that busy . Yet I was speech less that the restaurant was very busy I had to wait for a table but all was worth it I had a octopus salad, chicken Molto Bene and a tiramisu my family had lamb chops, veal stuffed with mozzarella and prosciutto all dishes were so delicious. Service was excellent, personal very friendly Tim gave us a home made grappa which it was perfect after drink. I highly recommend to try Molto Bene. read more

Sometimes it gets a bit crowded and overwhelming for a small place but the food makes up for everything, and everything. The warm decor and staff puts you at ease. Really, the food, was superb. You can't find anything like this unless you're in soho or traveling in the cliffs of Malta. Personally, I recommend the chicken with asparagus. I moved to the area in May 2016 from the North Shore to Bellmore. Since I love food my first week I drove all around the area looking for places to dine. My first impression was great. That, the mozzarella sticks and the free flowing drinks, of course. What really made me not enjoy my experience was after that. I had been up dancing and came back to the table to find everyone else had a salad, except for me, despite my table setting clearly looking like it was used. I brushed it off, I was pretty full still on the appetizers. But it would come back later to haunt me. That is, I ordered the Bistecca Florentine, having had a similar dish at an italian restaurant a few weeks prior. I always ask for my steak rare/medium-rare since I know restaurants tend to overcook that. My sisters fiance ordered the same. We both got our steaks and they were overdone and dry. While my sisters fiance asked for a new one, I don't like to send back food, so I stuck with it. His second steak came the same exact way. I was greeted and seated right away. I would have eaten at the bar as a single, but there were only two seats. I would suggest the restaurant expand their bar, it was beautiful and decor classy/elegant. After being seated I was given the standard menu...so after a moment I asked if there was price fix menu. They provided a lovely bruschetta with shaved cheese. A few moments later they brought bread with butter but also olive tapenade which was very good. My mom always said if the bread is good the restaurant usually is. I ordered a Cabernet which was a good pour. The fried calamari was average, not overcooked but I found the breading a little intrusive if that makes sense. For the main I ordered the pasta with dried tomatoes, broccoli rabe, and sausage. It was more like a plate of dried tomatoes with a few sausage bits, and the broccoli rabe hat too much stem. The pasta itself was gummy and clumped. A featured dish at a classy Italian restaurant should be well executed. I get it that a Monday night is not a high volume day and maybe not the most experienced staff are in the kitchen. I"ll just say they did not capitalize on an opportunity to convert me to a repeat customer. I'm sure later in the week their patrons have their best best dinning experiences. Even though it was not busy it seemed at was a local favorite. They asked if I wanted tea or coffee (included) I declined, but they brought 3 assorted cookies on a plate. I took one bite. Maybe the Italian version of a fortune cookie. Not a positive. Just to wrap up, It was a lovely spot that reportedly has good food but my first experience was disappointing.

That is not what was promised and I am certainly not taking my review down. This is what Yelps purpose is! I will never order from any of the Calda locations again. I won't be bribed either. I lost $67.85 but at least I hope future patrons will see my review and think twice of eating or ordering from this place!
