Upon entering, I immediately got school classroom vibes from the decor to the desks used as tables. We went with 3 cupcake options but they have more to choose from and even customizable ones. The Peach Cobbler Cupcake was the Winning Flavor on Food Network's Cupcake Wars! I can see why. The peach purée along with the brown sugar streusel was so good! The Blueberry Cheesecake Cupcake had a delicious cheesecake cream and the blueberries were tart and juicy. The Creme Brûlée Cupcake had a creamy custard and caramelized glaze on top which is exactly what you'd expect from creme brûlée. These cupcakes were some of the best I've ever had! All 3 were made with vanilla cake which I have to say was super moist, not too sweet, and tasted great. Next time, I would try their other cupcake bases or even do a TooGoodToGo order which would give you an even better deal on these!

Ordered a delivery. They have an amazing line up of cupcakes. Nothing was overly sweet. They have interesting flavors like crème brûlée. Highly recommend! Will definitely be ordering again.

The server behind the counter was very nice and helpful with explaining the products. I ended up getting three cupcakes and a chocolate chip cookie. I loved the cupcakes but was not a fan of the cookies. I got a crème brûlée, blueberry cheesecake, and peach cobbler cupcake. I definitely would stop by again when I want a cupcake.

Came as the last stop of our Greenwich Village food tour. The best mini red velvet with perfect cream cheese frosting. My son and the teem siblings, that he met sat in the whimsical swing seats. We ordered a chocolate raspberry Chantilly cupcake with tart fresh raspberry filling and a giant rice crispy treat that was very special! Prices were less than San Francisco area $7 cupcake stickers. Fantastic balance of flavors and proportions of cake to frosting were perfect. There is the sweetest reading nook in the back.
Beautiful and delicious cupcake selections. We came to Molly's as part of a food tour. We tried the mini red velvet cupcake with sweet cream cheese icing. It was yummy. I love that they have regular sizes as well as mini sizes, and vegan options. Beautiful atmosphere, and some of the seats are on a swing. Service is friendly and comfortable. I would definitely wanna come back and try other flavors.

Stopped here on a food tour earlier this month. I was a little surprised that we'd be trying cupcakes and I said to myself- how special can a cupcake be? I WAS WRONG! That miniature cupcake is something I haven't stopped thinking about since I had it. They are the winners of cupcake wars and the real deal!! That buttercream frosting- I wish they sold it so I could drink it. It was insane. Staff were friendly and inside was clean. I'll think about that cupcake and it's frosting forever. Cake was perfect and moist. Don't ever doubt a Mollys Cupcake!!
This was my first time trying Molly's Cupcakes, and as someone with a serious sweet tooth, I can confidently say these cupcakes are delicious! They're perfectly balanced, sweet but not overly sugary, and the frosting is just right, not too buttery. I got the Spooky Halloween 4 pack Cupcakes. My favorite was the red velvet and the chocolate salted caramel cupcakes. I'll definitely be back to get some more. The shop itself is a nice size and has a lot of sitting. I felt a welcoming vibe there, like you can grab your cupcake, sit down for a while there to relax or read a book.

Molly's Cupcakes is by far the best cupcake shop I've tried in NYC. Their cupcakes are perfectly moist, full of flavor and not overly sweet with amazing frosting to match. I've been here several times and have always received friendly, excellent service. Most recently, I ordered 26 custom cupcakes for an event and couldn't have been happier. They looked beautiful, tasted incredible and were a huge hit. Highly recommend! read more

Ordered 2 dozen of the filled cupcakes for a work treat. The good: fillings were great - cookie dough, cake batter, caramel, etc were all fresh and decadent. I also love the variety of flavors available. The average - icing. The icing honestly tasted like grocery store icing and was a bit bland. Overall I would likely go back if I was craving a fancy filled cookie dough cupcake, but may not be my first choice in the city. read more
Had the chance to try Molly's Cupcakes; a dozen of variety of cupcakes. One of the most popular cupcakes here is the Creme Brulee cupcake. I think the cupcakes are a little too sweet for my liking. I don't see myself coming here to place an order on my own. But in the event that a coworker or patient brings them to work, I'll give it another try. It's best to cut these cupcakes in halves to decrease the calorie intake. read more

Once you eat one of these cupcakes... you wouldn't want to go back to any others. Their cupcakes are full with flavors. Try it. I got the peach cobbler, apple pie, peanut butter Nutella, and Boston's crème flavor cupcakes. I enjoyed the peach cobbler the most. My least was the Boston crème one. I would say the peanut butter Nutella came second and apple pie third place. Boston crème was good but needed more crème in the middle. I went to an event two days later and they had stop and shop cupcakes. I could not bring myself to have one stop and shop cupcake. I remembered the taste of Mollys cupcake. What makes Molly cupcake special is that , not only do they taste scrumptious, they are original. Mollys was inspired by a third grade teacher. I will say that it is certainly worth to try! Not sure the hype here. Came here to grab a few dozen cupcakes. Service is lovely but the cupcakes themselves are denser than normal, and frosting is very heavy and sweet. For me it wasn't the right balance of flavors for either the cake or the frosting. Glad I tried but not sure I would come here again. read more

This is such a cute spot for a little sweet treat. There are so many flavors to choose from and it's really difficult to decide. I ended up getting the Ron Bennington (PB Chocolate) and the Cookie Monster (cookie dough). There were both so good and have such a nostalgic cake and frosting. The cupcakes were delish - I especially liked the buttercream ones. My favorite was the chocolate cupcake with buttercream frosting and white chocolate shaving. Decadent, moist, and yummy goodness. The red velvets with cream cheese filling were my second favorite. I am normally not a cupcake fan, because I had my fair share of overly sweet frosting, with dry cupcakes. However, this was love at first bite. The cupcake was moist all the way through. The buttercream was just the right amount of sweet and fluffy. read more

My new favorite cupcake in town!! I have been wanting to try this place for years ever since I heard they had a cake batter-filled cupcake. I loooove anything cake batter/birthday cake/funfetti vibes, so I'd been dying to try, but I somehow just hadn't made it around to trying until tonight. But boy, it did not disappoint! The filling literally tastes like fresh cake batter straight from the mixing bowl; so nostalgic! I liked the buttercream frosting, but it wasn't my favorite part (though my friend thought it was a little much/ too thick, and I noticed some other people had scooped their frosting off of this cupcake, too). I thought it overall was perfect though! I also liked that the cupcake itself was lighter / not too dense. I would use a fork next time haha; it got a little messy/out of hand once I got to the center (but it was sooo good). I am 1000% going to make this a new go-to; I don't think I'll be able to walk past it again without stopping in for a cake batter cupcake! Also, bonus points for their cute swing seats :) read more
This place is so cute! We love the "school" theme with all the décor. The tables look like old school student desks and the "bar" area seating is made up of swings that give a nod to the playground. The names of the flavors are given superlatives such as "Best Smile". They have some great flavors and if there isn't one that fits your fancy, you can also do a build your own by choosing from the cake flavors and icing flavors on their menu. What we ordered: - Blueberry Cheesecake "Best Smile" - Vanilla cake infused with classic cheesecake, cinnamon graham cracker crumb, pastry cream and glazed blueberry toppings - Crème Brulee "The Foreign Exchange Student" - Vanilla cake, classic crème brulee custard, caramelized sugar coating and glazed berries - Samoa "Class Trouper" - Vanilla cake with coconut caramel filling dipped in dark chocolate ganache topped with caramel buttercream and shortbread chunks - Ron Bennington "Most Likely to Succeed" - Chocolate cake with peanut butter filling, chocolate ganache and crushed butterscotch topping - Build Your Own - Carrot cake and Cream Cheese frosting. We even got a little sample of the Brown Butter frosting on the side and it was divine. We came in pretty late and it looks like some of the flavors were sold out but we still managed to snag a good amount, looking forward to coming back and trying out more. Only thing I would suggest is more drink options that don't have caffeine, for those who are coming later in the day. Possibly some school sized mini cartons of milk, to play into the theme? Eating all of these sweets did make us pretty thirsty. My partner ended up ordering a coffee and although they did not sell milk per se they did have it for the coffee drinks and they were nice enough to give us a half a mug of milk on the side which he gave to my sister. I really enjoyed the cake butter cupcake. It has a surprise so make sure you have napkins. The cake was very soft and warm. The decor feels like I'm in an episode of friends. Ladies this is definitely a place you wear your uggs to and get sweet treats. For my guys this is definitely where you take a girl. You'll get points for this. Shout out to Molly's cupcake but not Molly at the counter because she seemed like she didn't want to be bothered today but I guess that's just New York right? read more

A favorite of mine in West Village. Quality cupcakes that are moist and delicious. Regardless of the flavor cupcake you get, I'm sure it'll be a hit. I was in the neighborhood yesterday and always looking for dessert places that offer gluten free options for my wife. Came across this one place that serves cupcakes and was told they have flourless molten chocolate cupcake that is supposed to be scrumptious. I bought one of that and a blueberry cheesecake regular cupcake. Both my wife and son enjoyed their treats. Each was going for about $3.75 plus tax when seems fair. The first time I ever visited this place, I tried Creme Brulée, it was so good that I kept coming back for the same flavor. Yesterday, I tried Chocolate Decadence, and now it's my new favorite! These are honestly the best cupcakes I've had in New York. They are soft and moist with the perfect balance of flavors without being too sweet. No they do not make vegan cakes! They only make vegan cupcakes, which are made daily but could sell out so place order a day before to be sure. Flavors are vanilla and chocolate for vegan options. =)
