Located near Union Square, it was my first time visiting this Schmackary's location. Their store in Times Square/ Hell's Kitchen has been one of my go to places for a sweet treat since they opened... I remember when their cookies were closer to $2.50, compared to their current $4.25 cookie prices, LOL. A great deal for the size... maybe not the higher quality ingredients you will find at some NYC bakeries, but still yummy for a sweet indulgence. They always seem to find the best people to work in their stores, including this location ... friendly, helpful, patient, personable. Cute small dessert spot. Lots of delicious and unique looking cookies. I got the hot chocolate with oat milk - pretty decadent and sweet, perfect for a cold day. Service was super fast and friendly. I heard Schmackary's cookies were pretty good, but I am sad to say they did not live up to the hype. They had a cute space inside with some stools in front of the window. They had a nice display of cookies and even offer ice cream. The cookies were underwhelming. It didn't help that there was no other customer at the time of visit, so it looked like a ghost town. Cookies and snacks in Union Sq. area. It's about 3 mins walk from 14st station. I feel each day they offer different cookies. I would check the website or call if you are looking for the specific flavor. The classic chocolate chip cookies are always available. I had the classic, it was pretty good. Coconut macaroon was too dense and too sweet. I like store bought ones better and that says a lot. The chocolate chip cookie tasted watered down. I was expecting it to be good and I was let down completely. The sea salt garnish didn't even help it at all. It was just such a bad cookie. The day old oatmeal butterscotch was mid. I have only been to one of these stores in Midtown and since being in Midtown is the worst place on earth I couldn't be happier that this location opened as of 2/1/25. The two gentlemen working this morning were absolutely delightful and happy to engage when I was hemming and hawing about what cookie to get. They convinced me to get a corn cookie? And they were right. It truly was spectacular. It's not too sweet and legit taste like corn and I never thought I would enjoy a cookie with corn.
