I've never had a bad sandwich from there. I've tried the chopped cheese, steak and cheese, and buffalo chicken sandwiches. I've really enjoyed the chopped cheese and steak and cheese and can say that are favorites for me. I also like grabbing one of their cold-cut sandwiches to take to the beach as an easy snack. I haven't tried anything from the salad or hot bar yet, but it always looks really good. It gets pretty busy, so I'm guessing it's popular for a reason. I also buy my meat and fish there because everything always looks fresh and the quality has been great. The produce I've picked up has always been fresh too. Don't forget their garden section with a great selection for seasonal favorites. It's clean and very organized, so easy to find what you need. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, which makes shopping there even better. If you have not been, you are mission out on a neighborhood gem.

I approached the deli counter to order a sandwich while my sister was elsewhere getting other food. There were multiple employees working behind the counter, and I patiently waited while the customer ahead of me was being assisted. Once that customer was finished, I was next. However, despite several employees being present, not one acknowledged me, asked if I needed assistance, or attempted to take my order. What made the situation particularly uncomfortable was that when my sister, who is considerably lighter-skinned than I am, approached the counter after me, she was immediately acknowledged and assisted. The difference in treatment was impossible for me to ignore. As a darker-skinned Black woman, I am aware that racial bias and colorism can influence everyday interactions, including something as simple as customer service. I cannot speak to the intentions of the employees, but I can certainly speak to my experience and how it made me feel. It was disappointing to stand there, visibly waiting to spend my money, while multiple employees failed to acknowledge my presence, only to watch someone who approached afterward receive immediate service. We ultimately got our food and left without confrontation, but the experience stayed with me. I don't expect preferential treatment. I expect the same basic courtesy and acknowledgment that every paying customer deserves. No customer should have to wonder whether their complexion determines how visible they are to the people serving them.

This eatery takes both credit card and cash as payment. Parking is just along the curb. If you aren't able to find parking, you might be able to park around the corner, where we parked the first time we came. Saw their Sunday special - Sweet Basil and Burrata pizza - on the Molinari's Facebook page and it looked too good to pass up. We were not disappointed as it was a mix of perfectly crispy on the outside/chewy on the inside crust, creamy pesto sauce base, melted mozzarella, and a big chunk of burrata (my favorite!) on each slice. Heavenly. The caesar salad was just the right size for two people to share as a side. Dressing was fresh and had incredible flavors. And the croutons, don't get me started on those. I paid $23 for a steak and cheese calzone and it barely had anything inside. The flavor was lacking and it felt like I was eating cooked dough. They also only offered one cup of Mariana sauce for multiple people.

And when I was extremely tight on money, the nice lady behind the counter was kind enough to give me a free pizza slice (which, although tasty, was too greasy for my liking); I had since forgotten your name despite being told it, but if you're reading this, I'm still so grateful for your deed.
