Someone came outside to get our order started while we waited in the drive thru, which resulted in fast service and probably the best tasting iced Chai tea latte I've ever ordered. It was a little pricey, in my opinion... $4.06 for a medium. But nice job Moka. Better than I had expected for sure. read more

Drive thru only..but it is yum yum good. I was impressed that they actually come out of their building (even in the winter cold) to take your order when they are busy.. it definitely helps to get through the line faster. The staff is always fun & friendly. The only "issue" is that they can get so busy that it's tough to get in/out off of busy East Washington.. but not much they can do about that. read more

Good coffee and a little cheaper than Starbucks. The Jamaica coffee is not only tasty, but smells amazing. The staff are always friendly (at the east side location, at least), and when the line is a bit longer they will come out to your car to take your order so it's ready by the time you get to the window. Other are incorrect when they say it is a drive thru only. They actually do have 3 or 4 tables inside both the east and west side location - it's not super spacious by any means, but there is space to go inside and sit down. I much prefer supporting a local small business and am happy to have Moka in my neighborhood! read more

Absolutely love this coffee place! My friend and I come here everyday before work, their iced white mocha and pistachio muffin are to die for. Unfortunately, today's visit was much less than pleasant. I know this place is popular but it took me 20 minutes from when I got into the drive thru line until i got my coffee and left. This in turn made me late for work, we would have drove off but we had already paid for the coffee. Was also very disappointed to see a barista taking a smoke break while their were 6 cars in the drive thru line. On the other hand the coffee and muffin was delicious! read more

I just wish I could give these guys a better review. Firstly, the Moka employees and owner are super friendly, nice and accomodating. They really are all about customer service. If you visit here regularly it's kind of like Cheers. They get to know you by name, your drink of coice.... The building looks like it's only a drive-through establishment, but there is a walk-in area where you can order and sit down and stay awhile since there are a few tables and chairs. OK so here's where my review takes a turn. I only drink decaf (unfortunately), and every decaf drink I've had there I did not like. I thought the brewed decaf coffee was terrible, the cappuccino had a bitter aftertaste and so did the latte. BUT! My family, who all drink caffeinated coffee loves it! My daughter says they make one of the best vanilla lattes she's had. She said the coffee flavor stands out and is not drowned out by milk and sweetener. So, unless you drink decaf, I suggest giving them a try. read more

I've been going to Moka (java detour) for years now, and the service has always been the best experience I've ever had. Fast, friendly, knowledgeable staff... And the coffee is excellent! I am from the West Coast so coffee is a big thing there. I was in town and was a little hesitate to try coffee here in the Midwest. But I did a yelp I was interest because of the name MuKa. Yes, to my surprise it was one of the best coffee and much like StUmp town coffee back home. I definitely highly recommend it read more

My dashboard houses quite the collection of cute little stickers...all different...from Moka. They bring a smile to my face much in the same way their drinks do. Now, I have to admit that I've never set foot inside. One day perhaps... but that would mean that I'm not in a rush and actually have time to sit and enjoy my coffee instead of needing that extra burst of energy to get through the next few hours of work. I've recently purchased a Keurig when I stopped to figure how much my toddler of a habit really costs me. Still! It can't stop me from going to Moka. There are just two main reasons, 1) their options are so varied and delicious! Currently I'm stuck on the triple apple spiced chaider...hot OR cold...depending on this crazy Autumn weather. And 2) I've NEVER encountered such genuinely nice baristas! I mean if the line backs up they walk out to your car...with a big smile...and take your order so it's ready when you get to the window. Despite a line at both windows they are the sunshine you need on any given day. So even with a fancy shmancy coffee maker I will continue to find myself at Moka for all the awesomeness that they offer both in a cup and out. read more

I love the idea of the drive-thru and the service was very friendly. But the brewed coffee (decaf, black) was very weak! I need a strong,bold coffee in the morning! I was looking at some of the other reviews; looks like the espresso-based drinks are better. read more

Always friendly staff, Great coffee. My favorite is the Jamaican. And their Moka energy bars are ridiculous! delicious and filling. One of my favorite stops when I get off the freeway on my commute to Madison. I'll update to 5 stars when I try more items at the 5 star level but until then they are doing a great job. read more

So sad to learn that the BEST and SWEETEST barista they had there is gone. The reason many customers come to Moka is not only for the coffee. I am sure that many agree...we will miss Lindsay. Coffee is good, but my daughter bought one of their signature mugs, and the lid broke within less than a day. She called the store, they said they would replace the lid. We drove across town, and when we arrived, they refused to give her a new lid. Cost $23.00 and 3/4 hour worth of gas. Will never buy their coffee again. Too many other places that actually honor what they say, and their coffee is just as good. read more

Here's what I order every single time: a quadruple (XL) Jamacian iced coffee with 2 inches of 2%. It's perfect. For only $2.75, it's actually better than perfect. I usually like coffee shops with a good sit-down atmosphere, so I never imagined a drive-thru place could be so good. read more

Love the coffee here and I love the customer service. Each time I go the staff is very friendly and kind. They also make some pretty good coffee! Although the drive thru set up is a little bit funny. You have to order at the window, there is no speaker on the menu. I've gotten confused a few times, honestly it was funny. (: I would definitely recommend this coffee shop. read more
