Incredible lattes. We ordered a regular hot latte, no flavoring, and a hot matcha latte. Both were excellent quality and delicious. Highly recommend.

Got caffeinated at Cafe Domestique on a Saturday morning. Had heard good things about the coffee they were making. The shop has a homey feel to it with a bike shop in the back that's connected (really cool!). There's not much seating indoors so definitely come earlier if you're looking for a spot to sit indoors. I got a classic iced oatmilk latte that was very solid. There's expresso was strong (which I like) and the oatmilk was a great ratio. Overall, would recommend their coffee!

Their coffee smells sooooo good!!!!! The barista is great at making wonderful coffee. He made the perfect the creamy milk and beautiful latte art. Their coffee beans are freshly roasted in local roasters. Must go to in Madison!!!!!

Chai latte - A photograph taken from above shows a chai latte in a white cup, filled with a frothy beverage topped with foam and bubbles. The cup is placed on a wooden surface with visible grain patterns. The foam appears smooth with various-sized bubbles, indicating a freshly prepared drink.

Very cute, small coffee shop. There are a handful of tables and bar seating. It's cool because it's connected to a local bike shop. Overall an awesome vibe. I just grabbed a chai latte to go. It wasn't the best chai latte but it was pretty good. The temperature was perfect. The staff was super friendly and efficient. I want to go back and have a latte there. It seems like a great spot to meet a friend or get some work done. Especially cozy on a rainy or snowy day!

Small digs. Impeccable vibe. Great latte. I was always intrigued by this place. It was the bike themed cafe adjacent to a bike shop. What a duo! Café Domestique makes it work for them tho. Extremely friendly staff. It's small, not a ton a seating. Wasn't crazy busy this Saturday afternoon. I got a smoked salty maple latte. So delicious. Smoked salt and rich maple syrup. They have specialty seasonal drinks. Will have to come back for the next menu! Latte was like $6.50, totally why I'd expect. Small and calm vibe! Perfect place for your afternoon read and a yummy latte.

Delicious lattes! Great milk texture and well balanced flavors ! They offer a few pastries and cute sitting area (: Don't worry if you're not sure what to get, their baristas are so sweet and helpful ! You can't go wrong with any of their options (:

Got an iced maple sea salt oat milk latte and it was just fabulous! The sweetest service and drink came out almost immediately. It is a bit small with just 3 tables which were all full when I arrived, so if you are trying to come have a spot to work beware you may not get one!

Madison has some cafes that focus on style, and some others that focus on coffee aka substance aka subsistence. Domestique is consistently in the ladder camp. The coffee is always great, and they have a wonderful set of rotating roasters. There are fun baked goods. The seating area is a little small and awkward (just given the space) but it is usually not that crowded. The coffee is worth it though. And they have wifi now!

Went to the North Street location for a Saturday pick me up. Staff was super friendly and happy to explain drink options and make recommendations. Ended up getting a cortado and was pleasantly surprised to see that it came with two Teddy Grahams. It was a tasty drink and the relaxed atmosphere was welcome for reading on a sunny Saturday morning.

A woman with dark hair tied back, wearing a face mask and a blue headband, is preparing coffee behind a wooden counter in a coffee shop. The counter has coffee grinders, cups, and other equipment. The background features shelves with coffee bags, artwork on the walls, and decorative wall art. The shop has warm lighting and an industrial-style ceiling with exposed ductwork.

A coffee gem! They use Ruby & Intelligentsia beans. Syrups in the seasonal drinks are all house made. We were welcomed by a very friendly barista. He gave us a sample of the Ube syrup after we asked what it is. We liked it and ordered a Ube latte as well as a lavender latte. The drinks were rich & flavorful with a nice kick of espresso taste. The Ube latte tasted a bit like taro milk (if you have taro milk tea or ice-cream before) with coffee. The lavender latte has a strong lavender flavor and tasted very natural and balanced. The milk temperature was right and the foam was blended well with the espresso. We were pleasantly impressed! Street parking is easy nearby.

the front of a coffee shop - The image shows the storefront of Café Domestique, a bicycle-themed cafe. The facade includes large glass windows with a bicycle mounted inside, visible through the glass. The cafe's logo, featuring a gear and a bicycle chainring, is displayed on the window. Above the entrance, the word 'COFFEE' is spelled out with individual letters in a modern font. Outside, there are two benches on the sidewalk, and the building's exterior is made of brick and painted gray. The entrance door has a neon 'open' sign and various notices posted on it.

I can certainly see the appeal to this place. The menu is fun and the bike theme is really pretty cool. My biggest critique is that this place is REALLY small. Even if every chair at every table was filled, I'm guessing you could only fit about 12 people. I honestly felt guilty for taking up one of their few spots. To make matters worse, when accessing the wifi, guest are instructed to not use it longer than a half hour. So essentially, this place is designed to grab your coffee and leave--ideally within 30 minutes. This design might be more tolerable if I didn't pay almost $6 for a small latte. On top of all that, the staff were pretty average. They did their jobs, but I didn't feel like they were especially welcoming or helpful.

Latte and cold brew - Two people are holding cups of iced coffee with plastic lids and straws inside a café. One person has a floral phone case and painted nails, while the other has a plain hand. The background shows a wooden counter with a thermos, a small black appliance, and a paper bag, with a blurred view of the café interior and seating area.

Very balanced and strong cold brew. Excellent latte and adorable space. Lovely experience.

Art work inside the cafe - A wall inside a cafe features a large mosaic artwork composed of bicycle chain links arranged in a pattern, with a hanging industrial-style light fixture nearby. Below the mosaic, there are multiple framed illustrations depicting cycling scenes and characters, arranged in a horizontal line. The setting includes a window with natural light and visible piping, indicating an industrial interior design style.

The baristas are so kind and they're so knowledgeable. I asked them about their espresso roasts and they were able to provide me details of their flavors and give me their recommendations. My favorite is their cappuccino, which they make traditionally. Their seasonal drinks are also delicious and they sell out pretty fast. The aesthetic of the coffee shop is bike themed, which in my opinion, suits Madison. I definitely recommend this cafe to those on bike trails since it's really close to the trail. The art work is also very impressive. The coffee shop is small and there isn't much room to sit, especially with the pandemic going on.

coffee grinders lined up on a counter - Two black coffee grinders filled with coffee beans are positioned on a wooden counter at Café Domestique, a bicycle-themed coffee shop. Behind the grinders, a barista is preparing drinks, and a coffee machine with cups and accessories is visible. The background features a white wall with framed artwork and visible piping, creating a modern, industrial aesthetic.

Workers are very nice and hardworking! The coffee is some of the BEST you can get in Madison. I have never been disappointed with an order. Same with the food! My favorite is their ham, Gruyère, mustard crepe but I recently tried their ramp pesto, egg, and balsamic reduction crepe and it was also DELICIOUS! Their sweet crepes are amazing, as well. I recommend the lemon curd one as it is not overly sweet.

First time here. We were visiting Madison and walking around the downtown area. It's a small space…read more(almost tiny) that sits at a narrow intersection, so it's literally a pie-shaped space. The upside is that there are lots of windows with natural light. The inside seating consists of long tables or counters along the windows. This is not a place where you are likely to hunker down for a quiet or private conversation. You can tell that storage space is at a premium, with boxes stashed in overhead areas or equipment in the bathrooms. The staff there were very pleasant and helpful. Ended up getting a Chai Latte (extra foam) in a mug. It didn't take long to make, and they delivered it out to the table. It was an excellent drink -- hot, flavorful, extra foam, and not too sweet. A joy to drink. The atmosphere is a bit manic. With the tight seating, you can feel a bit claustrophobic, or on the other hand, like you are at a concert and getting energy from the crowd. For me, it's a place to grab a drink and find a quiet space elsewhere. So not likely a place that I would return to.
