Delicious 16oz Cardamom Mocha, hot. Smooth and creamy. The service is always lovely and the coffee is very good. I highly recommend!

What a neat space! I especially love the market. You can grab coffee and go explore (the grow greenhouse is fun because there are plants all over the place) My lavender latte was good and my husband enjoyed his drip coffee. We loved the donut from level5 donuts too! The flavor was cherry lime. I'd recommend checking out this spot and walking around!

Ledger has delicious oat milk lattes! The perfect location at Garver Feed Mill. A cute space where you can order, grab your drink at the counter and then either sit outside or in the Garver lounge area. Friendly and efficient staff and an overall great vibe. It's fun to grab a coffee to go and walk around their space to see the other businesses. They even have a walking trail that takes you to Olbrich Gardens.

Ethically sourced and micro-roasted in house - yes to both!

This place is a hidden gem! They roast their beans locally & consistently make the best coffee I've had in Madison. Highly recommend trying one of their coffee drinks and/or buying a bag of one of their beans (they'll grind them according to how you like to brew, ie, for French press or pour over or drip). Even their decaf (Rally Cry) is amazing - rich & flavorful! I can also recommend their matcha lattes which are consistently very good -- smooth and luscious. My current fave is their cardamom latte which is delightful. Friendly staff too!

Ledger has incredible coffee. I had a half caf iced americano and it was delicious. They roast their beans in house. They had friendly baristas and a really great outdoor patio. I've been here 3 different times in my 2-days in Madison. They also have vegan donuts on the weekends-- but go early or they'll sell out. Highly recommend.

Cute vibes, loved the area and baristas were nice. Coffee was good as well, not too sweet. I got an americano with lavender syrup!

Featured espresso that I drank on the spot (midway through drinking here) and a small light roast drip to go

Wanted some delicious coffee to reward myself after dropping someone off at the airport. Ledger was ten minutes away. I had their featured espresso (not many places have both a house and featured espresso), it was extraordinary and the same cost as espresso anywhere. Grabbed a small light roast drip coffee to go that was also great. Highly recommend if you want memorable coffee.

Really enjoying this Super Capacity blend lately, we use it in our pump espresso machine at home. Helps to make a nice cappuccino

The coffee is excellent. I'm from the northwest and very used to the style of coffee in the PNW. Ledger is definitely on par with that level of quality, and it's one of my favorite coffee spots in Madison. Highlights: - Locally roasted beans - Nice foam quality (even w/ alt milk) - Simple & tasty options for added flavor(s) - Multiple options for coffee bean type if you are purchasing a bag of beans (I typically opt for the Super Capacity espresso whole bean blend to use in my espresso machine at home, but I hear the Cold Brew blend is very popular as well!) Highly recommend coffee lovers check this place out! It's quite a drive if you live on the West side, but you can check out other shops at the Garver Mill while you're there. In the same building you can find an Ian's pizza, as well as a cocktail lounge. Also, in the winter there is a lovely winter market which is fun to peruse on a chilly day. Last thing I'll say- if you're trying Ledger for the first time, be aware that Ledger does not have as many drink/flavor options as coffee chains like Starbucks. The strong suit of Ledger is the quality of the coffee.

Great coffee if you're in Monona but make sure to be there early. I stopped for an afternoon pick me up and all the food was gone, I was really bummed. I love the vegan donuts they carry and was really looking forward to getting one.. oh well, next time! I did get the espresso tonic with grapefruit bitters and oh my goodness it was refreshing. Coffee is fantastic and they some unique items such as the rose latte. Will be back to try more.

Very nice baristas. Modern, bright and clean coffee shop with a large outdoor patio for sitting down. Ordered their nitro cold brew and iced latte. The nitro cold brew was of decent quality but for some reason tasted on a bit light to me. The espresso in the iced latte tasted a bit smoky. Overall, a 4.5 star coffee shop to me.

Maybe shooting myself in the foot giving this place 5 stars. Ledger is great and their donuts are phenomenal. The special donuts are almost always worth grabbing, but their regular vanilla glazed are seriously great, and somehow do it while being vegan! Only possible gripes I can find with this place is that you gotta get your order in at 8am on the weekends to get donuts because they sell out in no time flat. That, and it's real easy to order an $8 coffee because each option costs $1 or more.

Great coffee and yummy potato chips
    C R.

Nice balanced coffee. Perfect for picking up a warm cup before wandering around the botanic gardens. I also got the potato chips. They were pretty amazing- not too sweet or salty. The co-op outdoor and indoor seating are nice. (Plus, the cup design is pretty cool.)

Not as hectic as a Starbucks, but just as expensive. Nice outdoor seating area. Nice to see the roasting machine in the back of the store.

Place smells great but the tonic espresso was absolutely disgusting. Took 1 sip and tossed it.

It's decent coffee, with decent flavorings. The beans aren't special, but it's better than most place I've tried I Madison.

They threatened legal action if I shared what I experienced. The email that I'm still speechless about they directly insinuated i have mental health issues - all bc I asked to speak to a manager about something that was making me uncomfortable and would make anyone uncomfortable. This entire email is the clearest example of destructive gaslighting i have ever see. I have never spoken a word to them about my personal life, I have never said a word about 'metal health issues. I was not given any opportunity to speak or defend myself. They made sure i wasnt called only emailed to control their narrative of me. I made the decision to never come back days ago. I go almost every day. I am unbelievably nice. I dont say anything besides my order and small friendly talk. I say thank you every time i get my drink and smile. I am not someone that would randomly make things up. I explained a situation that happened 5 months ago but as you can see in the email they've apparently 'looked at all the footage' and have made their conclusion in less than a day. There's no way you can go over 8 months of footage in less than a day. There's no way to make an accurate fair conclusion in less than a day. As you can see in their response they accused me of trying to make employees look bad. Here was the incident: I came out of the exit door to the bathroom and two employees had been so close to the door that I hit them by accident. I asked 'can I help you?' And they ran away. Even then I didn't say anything. It was invasive, inappropriate, and incredibly rude. I should have said something as anyone would but I didn't. Somehow I knew this would happen if I said a word. They usually have one or two at the front and are very often alone but bc the employees didn't see anything that means I'm lying. Make that make sense Their false accusations and threats of taking legal action is laughable. They even had the balls to give me the number of a mental health line. It is absolutely despicable and condescending. It's hilarious to me that they set these rules and conclusions that I must follow as if not following it is doing something illegal. I'm not an idiot. I feel so sad for people that are actually like this bc it only shows how many issues they have and how unhappy they are. It shows the type of people they are and their morals and values and indifference. To know a collective group of people, a well known and popular coffee shop, handles a customer telling them something is making them uncomfortable is in reality the direct opposite of how establishments are as a norm. It makes me very concerned for customers. Lastly The email written to me said how'd they they don't have cameras in the bathroom or stalls so they don't know if anything happened. The incident was not inside the bathroom and stalls. I said that many times and made clear. They lied to make me look even worse. The moral of the story is don't speak up when you feel uncomfortable bc it's your fault you feel that way. Keep spreading that message my friends. I was told it was inappropriate to contact any employees or go into the store as if I had already done something or was going to. I do not behave in that way nor have I ever.. I dont have any contact info for any of them. Ive never seen any of them outside the coffee shop or spoken to them. I don't even know their names.. The emails are not in order - yelp has been mixing them up when I put them in order. Sorry about that

Seems like they bake in a convection oven based on the crunch of the outside of these items. Visit 2: Ordered a Chai and Nom Nom sandwich for dine in. Chai had NO flavor. It tasted like milk with some cinnamon sprinkled on top. The Nom Nom sandwich was a No No. It's a cheddar chive biscuit with egg, cheese, and maple syrup. It does not work. Listen, if maple syrup were good on eggs, it would be a thing. It's not. Furthermore, the way the cooked the egg was freaking weird (soft boiled?). The yolk was nasty and they did not season the egg. The maple syrup completely hid the taste of the biscuit, which made their wonderful cheddar chive biscuit pointless. They would be much better off making a basic egg and cheese biscuit. Just because you are located in Madison doesn't mean you have to try to come up with something unusual. Be yourself and show off your food! Visit 3: Got 1 cheddar chive biscuit to go. Woah. You'd think I offended the person working the counter. "That's IT???" she said, along with an eye roll. I felt as if she would have rather not I not bought anything.
