If you want no drama, just pay with cash and rely on Apple's 1-year warranty. Anything else they promise over the email/messenger/phone/face-to-face may or may not change. Yes, I'm also a skeptic and do all my research. I checked everywhere for the best price...they can beat it. I'm also skeptic about whether or not it's new. It is NEW, SEALED IN BOX. The bad reviews? I think the bad reviews here are mostly from people who bought used stuff (as that can go bad and they aren't obligated to help you beyond whatever their fine-print promises are). The other bad reviews are from their extremely aggressive [predatory] financing company. Yes, they can finance you no problems even if you have horrible credit but I really don't recommend it. If you for whatever reason miss that 90-day (no interest) period, your interest becomes 100% of your purchased item...YES, it means you're paying DOUBLE the cost. Other complaints revolved around people getting jerked around by the finance company and their credit, etc. So anyway, just pay cash and you'll have no drama.
