Really it's the only place worth eating in the neighborhood. The service is fantastic. The food is great. The interior is a nice intimate setting. This is what restaurants should strive to be! I recommend the Pabellon of the Vaca Frita. Enjoy! read more

Surprisingly good! From the outside you think you'll get another cheap joint with cheap, fake Latin food for suckers. Big mistake! Food is really good. The combination of Puerto Rican, Venezuelan, Cuban and Mexican food is amazing. One of my new favorite spots! read more

Why 5 stars? They deliver everything they promise. Great food, great atmosphere! Simple can be way better than fake fancy! The menu is a blend of central American dishes with and some of their own creations. Nothing too fancy but everything tastyes very good and delivers as promised. I'll be a regular read more

Was seated immediately, but had to wait forever for anything! It seemed as if the waiter was more focused on serving the regulars, as he was always chatting it up with them, instead of paying attention to everyone. It took a long time to get our menus, and then once had decided, we waited even longer. The waiter suggested medium-rare on the beef, yet it came out well done. Unfortunately the food was just average. I was expecting true authentic Latin American food. The Mojitos however, are excellent. read more

It seems I only write reviews for excellent restaurants...Mojito is at the top of our "favorites" list. I work in health care and always recommend Mojito to patients who live in the Lake City/Ravenna area. So far every single patient returns with fantastic reviews as well! Fun, quaint & incredible food. read more

Amazing food! Crispy tostones, well seasoned pork, and the congri (black beans and rice mixed together) is addicting. The Pulga is my favorite drink. The most authentic Cuban food I've had in Seattle. The owners are hospitable and the place is clean. The restaurant is very small which means a long wait, but it's so worth it! read more

This place is stellar! Really unassuming but all the food was fan-TAS-tic! Went for lunch with my colleagues from work and we all polished our plates despite all of us admitting to having been full half way through. Their mojito does not f**k around, either. Good stuff! I'll definitely be going back and will try to bring more people! read more

This one of the best places I've been too!!!! The food is excellent, the service is excellent and the drinks are excellent!!! Me and my wife go here on our way home from work and always leave happy . If your lucky enough to meet the owner Luem youll leave wondering why more business owners aren't like him. In short this is one of those small businesses were owner and employees work hard to serve you with a smile and excellent food at a good price . I love Mojito's read more

Simply the best. Slow braised Caribbean food with delicious sides. Also every time I go the owner makes a point to come over and say hi. Great hospitality, food, and drinks. read more

This restaurant had absolutely delicious food!!! I shared food and was able to try two different dishes and both were fabulous!! Our server was very polite, attentive and friendly! Additionally, the owner is very nice and polite as well and takes genuine interest in his customers! I truly recommend this place!! Not sure why this place is only 4 reviews, because it should honestly be 5!!! read more

The food is always delicious! The Mojitos are the best in Seattle and the owner and staff never fail to make their patrons feel like family. I love this place! read more

Excellent food. I've found the carry out to be easy and safe during the pandemic. Camarones Carmen Miranda is excellent.

This is the best restaurant and experience in all of Seattle. The food always hits the spot. The owner's hospitality is unmatched and everyone who works here always puts a smile on my face. Seattle is lucky to have such a wonderful establishment such as Mojito. I bring all my out of town visitors, coworkers, and friends here any chance I get. Eat here or you'll be missing out! read more

The food was amazing and the service was great! I extreamly recomend it ! And the mojitos are amazing as well!

This place is rated higher than we expected. The place is nice. it has outdoor dinning area which is good for this weather. Me and my bf want some steak some we were thinking between Parilla Mojito and Bistec a caballo & pabellon. The waitress suggested Parilla Mojito which is $2 more than Caballo. We both ordered the same thing Parilla Mojiti with medium rare steak. However, the steaks came and they were well done. The meal comes with rice, black beans, fried yuca, tostones, and guasacaca. The rice is soft and taste good. The fried yuca and tostones are dry, my bf didn't even try a bite. The guasacaca was a bit sour but maybe this is their style. The meal was $18 and the mojito drink was $10. We end up paying $6x and I don't think the food worth this price. I am not going back. read more

We love Mojitos and visit regularly with our entire family. The service is fantastic, the meat is grass fed, and the Mojitos are delicious. We love getting the parilla with the sauce that dreams are made of + mojitos. So good. Kids eat it up. We love the owner and have been going for years. read more

This review is for Mojito as an establishment, not for the food that they declined to serve us. My wife and I hadn't been on a date night for way too long, and of all the places we could've picked on the way from Bothell to Downtown Seattle, we were really excited to try Mojito. I've been driving past their location every weekday since long before it opened, and it always looked like a fun, cool place. We called ahead, and found out that they only accept reservations for parties of 10 or more, but the lady on the phone assured us that they'd open at 5pm after finishing a catering order, and that we'd have no trouble getting a seat if we arrived right at 5. So, we waited at home a little longer than expected, then left in time to arrive hungry, at exactly 4:59. The place was almost empty, and we were so ready to tuck into some tasty Caribbean goodness. We walked in with smiles on our faces, which quickly disappeared as the fellow who "greeted" us at the door immediately gave us an amused smirk when we asked for a table, and informed us curtly that the wait would be at least 30 minutes. Given what we'd heard earlier on the phone, and the fact that we were standing in a restaurant that literally had just two customers sitting at one table, I guess we were just too stunned to fight the absurdity of it all, and we turned around and walked out. So, if you need a place where you can get a seat and eat food, a common requirement when selecting a restaurant, this is not the place for you. They are not interested in your money nor even presence unless you're bringing a small army. Alternatively, if enough couples make reservations for parties of 10, then show up and order while "waiting for the other 8 people to arrive," it might help these folks to change their policies (and you to avoid our fate!). I like to support small businesses, but Mojito came across as too self-impressed to merit such consideration. If you're up in our end of town, I'd strongly recommend Acapulco Fresh in Kenmore as an alternative. We've been going there for almost 20 years - straight Mexican, and never disappointing. read more

Mojito has excellent food. I have tried various items including Mojito platter, bandeja paisa, soup - they were all amazing. Their mojitos are truly special!! The service is very timely. And very friendly staff. They have outdoor seating with heaters to adapt to covid. Overall a great place to enjoy Latin food and hangout! read more

I don't come here nearly enough! The pescado en guiso is by far my favorite dish, and all of the drinks are delicious!

Authentic food, that reminds me of home. Drinks are on point and the waiter is super friendly!

We stopped here based on previous Yelp reviews and they were spot on!! The service was outstanding. We ordered the Vaca Frita for my wife and I had the Pepito Carne Sandwich from the lunch menu. As we waited for our meal we saw several Mojito drinks go buy and decided to have one also, it was also great but maybe a little pricy. The Pepito Sandwich was tender with amazing flavors, i would order again. My wife devoured the Vaca Frita and i was lucky to get a taste. Wish this place was closer to our home area but will be back when we are in the area. read more

I love the food here and the service is wonderful. Locale whole in the wall kinda place. It's a house made into a restaurant

Came here for the first time tonight and I can firmly say I'll be back. Craving this food. Incredible!

Wow, what an awesome local spot for authentic Cuban and great family feel. Owner Luam made us feel like part of the family and chose the perfect dishes for family style and the right amounts. Fish was mouth watering. Obviously, the Mojitos were awesome. read more

Here are the ratings for this restaurant: This is my first time here btw: Service- 5 stars with A++++ [walked in. was busy. waited outside. accidently brought in a finished yogurt cup. Waiter helped me throw it away, and asked me if I wanted a drink as we wait. Then when we got our tables, got our orders. Waiter came by regularly to make sure we had everything we needed including water. When we left, even if it was pouring rain, staff stood in the rain to open the door for my friend and I as we left. Superb service! Overall, workers are very warm and friendly....One of the best services I have ever experienced. And thats saying something! ] Food / Drink: 4.2 stars [ very delicious. Friend had a steak, and I had the chicken. both very good. Although I prefer the steak. Meal was pretty simple, had half a chicken, beans on the side, guacamole sauce, and couple of other fried items] Very delicious. Leche Dessert was good too, but their entrees were even better. Had their fresh starfruit shake. It was awesome. I need to come back for it again. Atmosphere: 3.5 stars [Smaller restaurant but with outside seating. Very nice on warm days. Inside, is petite but it works if its not super busy. Even if it is like today, very much worth the wait. However, the music was a little too loud today. Had latin music on, but I guess where I was sitting was close to the speakers. I had a difficult time holding a conversation with my friend with out getting exhausted over raising my voice. It would be nice if they turned it down a bit that way we can still get the experience, but its not too much. On the bright side, the music was lovely. ] Cleanliness: 5 stars [ I am so impressed by how clean this place is. The kitchen workers in the back are ALL WEARING GLOVES!! I got even more ecstatic when I saw cooks CHANGE GLOVES! So hands down, this is one of the cleaner restaurants. ] Overall: This has turned into one of my favorite places to eat. I enjoyed the experience, along with meeting such friendly staff and a clean environment. This restaurant my friends, you have to try. I am very excited I found my new go-to latin american place. I am going to invite many of my family and friends here. It is one of the best on all levels! read more

Went here on a suggestion from a friend...I am still exploring the Seattle area after moving a little north of the city limits a couple years ago. THIS PLACE IS BOMB. A little small, but the feel is super warm. The waitress had a pretty smile their drinks are amazing. Definitely handmade and not from a mix. Then the food came...holy shit I was thinking that El Rincon Criollo back home was good, but this was the next level. Pretty authentic, and huge servings. Definitely coming back here. read more

I am by no means an expert in Caribbean and South American cuisine but my family loved all of the appetizers (especially the white fish ceviche) entrees (white fish, pork, and beef) and of course the tres leches cake for dessert! The beans and rice served as a side to each entree were also delicious. Service was attentive and knowledgeable without being overbearing and all recommendations made were delicious. My family and I will definitely be returning when we are back in the Seattle area in the future! read more

Amazing food! The flavors are delicious and it reminds me home Caribbean food. We had the Pabellon and the Tres Leches Cake 100% recommended

Love this little place. Authentic and fun. A hidden gem in the North side of Seattle.

I LOVE this place. I have been about five times and am in love. The mojitos are to die for, just be careful they are dangerous! Ha! Two and I am good! The food is just as AWESOME. I don't venture outside too much of a food box but this little gem is worth coming out from the East side for. Every time I am in there the staff is funny, personable and just amazing. If you haven't gone... GO! read more

First time here and it was AMAZING!! my bf and I had the fish ceviche served with plantains and mojito sauce. It was so good. We also ordered the pork arepa (definitely recommend!!) and some steak dish with a fried egg, plantains, and beans and rice. We ate everything with their complimentary homemade habanero salsa, so delicious. Staff was so friendly and sweet. Can't wait to go back read more

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Seattle-- the food is excellent, esp. the pabellon, the staff is friendly and competent, and the namesake mojitos are some of the best I've had. As an added bonus, there is futebol (soccer) on the TV; it's usually, but not always, Mexican League play, but sometimes it's other countries-- last time I ate there, when we went for my wife's birthday, we watched a lively Brazilian game. read more

Super friendly staff, great food, drink, and music. Perfect for a sunny weekend in North Seattle.

Came in here looking for a mojito, and was pleasantly surprised. Mmmm - delicious and refreshing. Then, ordered the caipirinha... I liked them even better. Appetizers were tostones AND maduros, plus timbales made from plantains and filled with tasty, non-banana-type food? This place, I quickly realized, is heaven for simians, and other primates, (like me!) Let me warn you that after a few drinks, my memories about how good, (or not) the food is, are worthless. Luckily, I didn't have many, and saved whatever comes after that, until AFTER dinner. I ate vaca frita. I cannot attest to the authenticity of this particular dish, as I'd never had vaca frita before. But what I can attest to is the fact that it is now my favorite food. I know that I spent a lot of time deciding what to order, and I'm sure that I finally settled on the vaca frita after reading it's delectable description on the menu... but unfortunately, I cannot remember what it said. All I do know, (thanks to Google Translator) is that I love fried cow. And I love it at La Casa del Mojito. Five stars! read more

Absolutely loved it! Food was great, Cocktails were great. The Pisco Sour was amazing. We'll definitely be back.

Delicious. Get the carnitas plate, it has tons of flavor and it is a huge serving. It's a super small place to be prepared to wait on a Fri/Sat night. Drinks are great too! read more

I'm floating on a garlic high. After the sad midnight sandwich event, a trusty amiga recommended La Casa del Mojito and now all is right in the world. We went to the Lake City location, which is small and triangular with about 10 tables. It was pretty quiet on a Sunday night, so we had a lot of the server's attention. Since we were in the house of mojitos, we started with the signature drink - muy delicioso! It was minty, potent and just sweet enough without being syrupy. This was the Grande mojito - generous enough to last through the whole meal. We ordered the appetizer platter which gave us a little preview of the temptations to come. It was perfect for the four of us, with the opportunity to sample tostones, maduros, and yuca frita. - The tostones, basically green plantain rounds smashed into flat discs, were crispy and perfect for dipping in the yummy garlic sauce. The sauce, mmmmmm. Make sure your companions eat it, so you all have equal garlic breath. - And the maduros...well, ever had a banana dipped in honey? These super-ripe plantains were tender, caramelized, and perfect with just one little shake of salt. Who knew a plantain had this much potential? - The yuca was my favorite, by far. If you haven't had this Latin American staple before, it's a member of the tuber family but a little starchier than your regular potato. Sometimes yuca can be a little heavy, but these fries were buttery, melt-in-your-mouth smooth, with a delicately crispy outer shell and no evidence of oiliness. One was not enough. For a main course I had the Pabellon, which is moist, shredded beef in a harmonious union with garlic, onions and peppers. As noted in many other reviews, Pabellon is the Venezuelan national dish, and I had to try it in honor of Ms. Valentina. I was pleasantly surprised to find that I know it as its Cuban relative, ropa vieja (yes, old clothes...worn-in, comfortable, satisfying). It was like coming home to my grandmother's cooking. The accompanying black beans and rice were awesome, with the beans just being themselves, not overpowered by other flavors. And there were a couple more maduros on the plate. Ooooh, yum! For dessert we split a piece of tres leches cake. While the frosting was average, the cake was moist and dripping with leches (regular, condensed and evaporated milk - not a good idea for the lactose intolerant). It disappeared quickly. Service was prompt, portions were decent (I even had leftovers) and the price was reasonable. Casa del Mojito - tu casa es mi casa! read more
