I decided to write this review as i reached out to the restaurant directly via facebook and my comment was deleted so it seems that they dont care or want all reviews perfect but no business is perfect and specially is they dont want to hear it. I went Nov 20, 2021 and that day it was my anniversary. The food was soooooooo bad with no taste and if you think this is cuban or Caribbean food, then you never been to the Caribbean because this is NOT IT. I used to like this place but every time i go back, the food is getting less and less Caribbean flavor. The owner is a nice guy but he obviously can not take a day off as it all goes bad when he is not there. I am very disappointed specially because thanks to Mojito my wedding anniversary was ruined. read more

My favorite place in ALL of Seattle to eat! The owner, Luam, is incredible and so is the food. I've been here at least 10 times and my food has always been exceptional. The price is more than worth it and these are not small meals. The servers are also very kind and amazing as well. Victor is usually working when I visit Mojito and he is always truly a friendly guy. This place feels like home in so many ways. read more

Food was on point.. especially the ceviche and the empanadas with the spicy sauces on the side really hit the spot...

Extremely disappointed, service was mediocre... no water offered when we first arrived... the tostones were hard, can barely eat them. I threw mine away.. The bread for the Cuban sandwich was a joke... first not Cuban bread.... The pork meat had no seasoning or barely any. I'm a Cuban lady & it was just the worst food ever. The bread so wet too. We had to remove the bread. I fed mine to my dogs, which they eat anything. Never going back... read more

The last time I had an amazing Cuban/Venezuelan food and Mojito was in south beach, I am sure you can find it if you scroll on my yelp reviews. I think I have discovered another Gem around the corner from my house. I can't emphasize enough how amazing this place is and It's so tasty. I have to admit that I give all the credit to my friend Dawit who brought me some dishes from this place, twice to be exact and I fell in love with it instantly. I got all the info I need and after a long day of coffee and errands on a Saturday afternoon with my wife and daughter, we came here to check it out. There were plenty of street parking and the food was delicious. While the place is small and cozy and packed, you can tell this place is full of love and full of Latin American people which tells you it's authentic. The tables have Latin American coins imprinted on them which I loved. Walking in feels like a ray of sunshine on a cold and rainy Seattle winter day, with an ambiance and song that makes you feel like you are a vacation. What an amazing day it has been and thank you for the mini vacation, amazing service, amazing mojito, even my daughter enjoyed this place and feasted like there's no tomorrow. read more

The food is amazing and the garlic sauce is great on everything (I could use a few liters for home). I have to try hard not to order the vaca frita everytime. On top of that, the service is stand-out exceptional. Warm, friendly and invested in making sure you enjoy their amazing food. Victor is a delight. read more

Amazing food - I had the Parrilla Mojito dinner and it was really good. I love the unusual things like fried yucca. I would totally come back! read more

I'm Cuban. I grew up eating Cuban food every day. I have eaten so much Cuban food it's a wonder I'm not a toston. I've eaten Cuban food in California, all over Florida, and all over Cuba. I have *never* ever had such sad Cuban food as I had today at Mojito. First off it was not busy. When we got there there were two parties of two sitting outside and one table of four people sitting inside. They all had their food. We sat down and our order was immediately taken. So, no red flags. A half hour later we finally get our food -- cold tostones, cold yucca frita. I take a bite of the yucca to find that it's hollow, they had over fried them at some point and all the inside had spilled out and not onto my plate. I didn't eat the yucca because there essentially was no yucca. My boyfriend ordered the parrilla (steak) that comes with yucca, white rice and black beans. I got the lechon asado which comes with congri, tostones, and yucca. Again, all yucca on both plates was sad sad sad. The tostones were chewy like they'd been fried long ago. The saddest and most disgraceful portion of our meal was the congri. In Cuban cooking there's such a thing as 'asopado' where you make your rice almost soupy, but that's reserved for a dish like arroz con pollo. I've never in my life, never in all my travels and in all my eating of Cuban food ever had congri so mushy so mediocre and so quintessentially NOT CUBAN. The lechon was so meh it was swimming in flavored water which seeped into most of the other items on my plate. My poor boyfriend's black beans were pitiful and the white rice was gummy. When the waiter came by to ask how everything was, I said in the most lackluster and most unenthusiastic tone that it was "...okay, I guess..." He walked away. Was it edible? Yes. They cooked it, it was food. I paid and got out. Is it Latin American food? Sure. Is it Cuban? God no. White people of Seattle, please don't be fooled!!! There are few things worse than being tricked into thinking you're having a real Cuban food experience. This is the kind of thing that ruins Cuban food for everyone. Cuban food can be flavorful! It can be a beautiful glorious thing. Don't settle for the worst. Really. Don't. read more

Mojito - Hollow husk of the "yucca". Whatever it is, it's not yucca. - Cuban Near Me - Seattle, Washington

First off, the food here is GREAT. Seriously great. We're talking crispy, spicy empanadas, incredible maduros and tostones, delicious entrees, I can't say enough good things. Second , the staff. We came on a rainy cold day during covid, and they went out of their way to make space for us out under the awning and hooked us up with heaters and a blanket so we were comfortable and happy, despite Seattle Spring. Give this place a visit! Also, give Victor a raise! read more

El fantastico! I absolutely love this place. We're actually here as I'm writing this and almost don't wanna leave... it's that good!

Really fun ambiance, I felt like I was transported to another place outside Seattle. The service was great and attentive. And the food was outstanding. You must must get the Tres Leches. It is divine. The best Tres Leches and quite possibly the best cake/dessert I have ever had. read more

One of my favorite grub spots in all of Seattle-- Mojito's will have you leaving feeling full, satisfied, and ready to come back. The food is incredible. I'm quite sure everything on the menu is absolutely delicious and I don't think the chefs here know how to make anything other than spectacular. Not only is there great food, but the service is wonderful. The chefs and employees do an awesome job making everyone feel comfortable, and satisfied. Shout to out to my man Victor for the excellent service. The house made hot sauce is absolutely to die for, and the Vaca Frita dinner was outstanding. If you haven't eaten here yet, I ask you: What are you doing with your life?!?!? You're seriously missing out. Mojito is full of great food and great people, and easily is 10/10 eatery. I would give 6 stars if I could! read more

Love the food & drinks here! Fresh, flavorful, delicious and generous portions. They serve the best pork sandwich in Seattle! Salads and appetizers are excellent! Try the empanadas! The cocktails are awesome as are the desserts. Definitely recommend the tres leches and flan. Yum x10! Fun atmosphere and great staff! read more

Best food I've had in months. Everything was fantastic. This includes the service. Great portions. Super selection of tastes for every tastebud. Very knowledgeable and fun staff without being intrusive. They really know how to take care of you here. It was our first time, and everyone loved their food (and everyone else's). We'll definitely be back, and can't recommend this place enough. read more

Love, love, love Mojito! Everything tastes delicious from the drinks to the entrees. Personal favorites are the ceviche and vaca frita. For dinner on a Friday or Saturday, prepare to wait a bit. You can grab a drink and settle in under the heat lamp, and the line goes pretty quickly. Service is always friendly and fast. Drinks and all items we ordered were just perfection! I ordered the vaca frita plate and just trust me you will love it

Great food, great service. My favorite order is their pepito sandwich (steak or chicken) and a side of maduros. I added a mojito cocktail to go today and was super happy about it. Usually takes about 15 min to make food when I call in over the phone. read more

Let's talk about my favorite restaurant in Seattle, since I've moved here from Philadelphia. Fresh, Tasteful food, amazing ingredients and portion sizes. Then lets talk about the vibes, Family operated POC owned, between Victor (the manager) , his daughter Ana, and cute ass Jesus I basically feel like a prima lol or little cousin... I work nearby and have established a really strong relationship with my work community and the staff.. they show so much love to us and i am eternally grateful to have found them!! A COVID-19 quarantine plus, is the fact they have heaters and umbrellas for outdoor seating (minus the rain) Check it out! You won't regret it!!!!!!!!! *Hair flip as I sip my mojito* read more

Mojito came recommended by a Dominican friend in the area about a month ago who drives over an hour one way to eat here every month with his family. So of course we decided to give it a try. After our first visit it immediately went to the top of our favorites list. The food is DELICIOUS and the staff are all awesome people. At this point we've tried most things on the menu and everything (even the sauces for the tostones and maduros) stands out as fantastic. This is one of the only restaurants in Seattle where they actually treat you like family. Highly, highly, recommend you give them a shot. Shout out to Victor! You're the man!! read more

Vaca Frita had good lime flavor but was just too dry. The arepa was more like a grit than an arepa, not much corn texture. Not that great overall. read more

Great restaurant in Seattle, been coming about 5 years and it's good every time. Our server victor took good care of us and Judi in the kitchen was holding it down! Absolutely delicious food, fair prices, great drinks and atmosphere. A mix of Central American foods but they stay true to the style and ingredients. What an escape on a cold Seattle day read more

Okay found this place on yelp and now I'm back on yelp to rave about how goood it was!! First off, small place so make sure you get on the waitlist or get here early. I ordered the lechon, ceviche and mojito and my friends ordered the pollo milanese and the pescado frito. EVERYTHING was delicious. I was taking food off their plates it was so good. Not only that but the SERVICE. They are so hospitable. It feels like you're having a big family dinner. Cannot recommend enough! Hold on I'm back. The server just took my friends plate and I thought he left a Maduro. He walked away and I called for him to come back so I could eat the maduro. There wasnt one lol and the server just came back and dropped a giant plate of maduros in front of me as a courtesy. PLEASE COME HERE!! I love them read more

This has became of our favorite restaurants. I spotted it pre-Covid and wanted to try. But our 2 experiences here have been through take out. My first time here I ordered the bistec a caballo and that was delicious! Last night I order the pinchos vegetarianos. That was awesome! The vegetables were chunky and flavorful and grilled to my liking. My husband loved his food as well. They do virgin Mojito to go which is fun for us because we don't drink :) we will be back soon! read more

Five stars for the vaca frita and Luam (the owner). I order the vaca frita every time I come here and I still can't get enough! It's a traditional Cuban dish of shredded beef sauteed with garlic, onions, sweet peppers. The shredded beef is slightly sour because of the lime marinade. I love that combination of umami savoriness from the beef and the slightly acidic sourness of the lime juice and the big bold flavors of the garlic/onions. It comes with fried sweet creamy plantains, and slightly creamy black beans and rice side. So delicious! Luam is so welcoming and genuine and hilarious! He came to our table multiple times to chat. He brought us such a delicious and fun meal filled with laughter. read more

5 stars all day because this place is SHMACKIN but tonight my Cuban was lackin, no pickles and everything was pretty much on one side of the sandwich. Yuca was ice cold too. Probably busy so I get it. Great, great food. read more

This place is amazing. Food quality is awesome, the flavor is awesome. You feel like you're traveling abroad but in reality you're living that mostly shut down life cause the '19. Was good! Had the "parilla mojito" and "lechón asado" as well as the appetizer with plantains and yuca. It was all really good. My one point of feedback is the rice to beans ratio which I wish were more even (our plates were heavily skewed towards beans, which may be preferable to some I guess). Also got to try their tres leches and flan. Both were really good as well. Since moving to the PNW been missing Hispanic food, all in all will come again next time I'm in the area! read more

I met the owner yesterday and he is the one of the funniest and sweetest guys ever. While I was waiting on my to-go order in my car, he offered me two free drinks to pass the time, had amazing banter, and the food was fantastic. This has been a place that my partner and I have wanting to visit and finally found a good day/time to go! First starting off w the ambiance, it was in the Lake City area and it's only street parking but we got lucky and found a nice shade! The restaurant is very cozy and they have outdoor seating and I would recommend sitting outdoor if it's sunny. But we ended up getting Parrilla Mojito, Vaca Frita, Beef/Chicken Empanadas, and Tres Leches. Everything was so good! The waitress her name is Anna or Hannah (my memory is so bad) she was incredibly sweet to us and really made me feel valued. Since it was our first time she thoroughly took us through the menu and answered any questions we had. They are moving to a new location in August! There's not a thing I would change tbh, it was great food and we really felt immersed into the Cuban culture! Towards the end of the meal, we were stuffed! 10/10 recommend to anyone whose looking for nice local spot that cares about their food and their quality of service! Yall will love it there! read more

I love their salad and sweet plantains my order was to go. I would totally buy from them again I didn't take a picture but would recommend

One of the best Cuban restaurants I've had the opportunity to eat at. Was on vacation in Seattle and was recommended this place by a friend. The food and its flavors were very delicious!!! For appetizers we had the ceviche and the Camarones Carmen Miranda. The fish in the ceviche was fresh and the marinate / lime juice very flavorful. The tostones were a treat to bite into and the green sauce on top of them was full of flavor. The camarones were cooked to perfection and the mango and pineapple were a delightful addition to it. For entrees we had the vaca frita, parilla mojito, and the lechos asado. The beef on the vaca frita was delicious and the sauce nice and tangy. The congri(mixed rice and beans) was amazing!!! Good flavors in the beans and rice cooked well. The pork on the lechón asado was not too chewy and not too hard. It was soft and delicious. For dessert we had quesillo which is Velenzuelan flan. According to my wife it is bomb dot com. I tried it and it is delicious and would definitely recommend it. I'm not a huge flan person, but that was good. Whenever I am back in Seattle I will make time to come eat here again. read more

The food is exceptionally delicious! The owner really took care of us and went out of his way to get an outdoor heater set up near my mom to keep her warm as we waited for an indoor table. They set up the table, and had us indoors quickly. The owner had such a great sense of humor. He and our waiter made us feel like we were at home. Thank you to everyone who works there, cooks, and takes care of their customers. The owner even walked us out, shook our hands, gave my mom a hug and told us to come back if ever we're back in Seattle. Charming place. read more

I placed my order on the phone and specifically said I have a dairy allergy.. so NO cheese. I get my food, head in the car and start picking at the food to eat, and guess what I found!!!? CHEESE! Sprinkled heavily across the food. I tried a bit of the beef empanadas since there were no cheese and EW! Something about it made my stomach hurt for a few hours. Did not taste fresh at all. I wish I can take my tip back. Please avoid this place if you have specific allergies.. they don't care. read more

We've driven past this restaurant many times and finally decided to try it out. The host was super friendly and seated us right away. Service was a bit slow for a Thursday night. We were given two glasses of water. I noticed that my husband's glass had an ant floating in his. We plucked it out and thought, okay, no need to drink from this glass. And then we noticed my glass of water also had a dead ant. Again, we just tried to make the best of things; so we told ourselves we just won't drink the water. We had two drinks coming, so we'd wait for them. Time passed. No one came back to take our food order. My husband decided to order from the window because it looked like those orders were coming out faster. Our drinks finally came. I looked at the glass. Again, a dead bug/ant was floating in my mojito. I looked at my husband. He looked at his drink. Same thing! I think the restaurant must have received a bad batch of ice or something. 4 out of 4 drinks with bugs?!? We can't have been the only people being served buggy drinks. We left the drinks untouched and went to the window. We paid for the drinks because I know that covid has been challenging for restaurants and other businesses. I told the waiter that we were leaving and that each drink had bugs in it. No apology or anything. Just a short hesitation before taking our credit card. Very disappointing. We won't be back. read more
