This cute vibrant spot is located on the corner of where 2 streets merge. 18% gratuity is automatic for groups 6 or more. I ordered Vaca Frita, a traditional Cuban dish. Shredded beef marinated in lime juice and sautéed with onions, garlic and sweet peppers. Served with congrí and maduros. I like to try new food espeially from cultures other than my own thats one way of learning about one another. The neat thing about this place is their menu has a glossary, that I had to refer to for congri and maduros. Congti is a cuban version of rice and beans. Maduros are fried sweet plantains and this was a fine fried treat! I also tried a bit of Tortilla Española baked Potatoes, egg and onions, frittata style. Topped with tomato and avocado. Almost everything was great until the end after we got a to go box, the owner asked to put more Maduras into our to go box- it was unexpected and we were grateful... but then I saw our server say something to him, then gave us the bill and charged us for extra Maduras? There are instruments all around the Resturaunt to grab and add to the lively music. This is one of our favorite spots for dinner and takeout. The food is always reliably delicious and so flavorful, and the service is genuinely friendly. They even have a sweet little patio for outdoor dining. I love getting the Mojito Platter with dinner, because then I have extras of all my favorites and get to dip them in that crazy good garlic sauce (which I for real need to learn to make!), and their maduros are perfection for sweetness and texture. The Vaca Frita I had the other night was crisped just right on the outside, tender, and rich. Delicious food and great service for real; this is a place you feel they truly love what they do and want to share it with their customers. I highly recommend! read more

Truly a family neighborhood restaurant. I go here at least weekly, as everyone at the restaurant will tell you I'm kind of obsessed with the tortilla española. The employees know me by name and when I walk in they hand me my bag without any effort. The food is always high quality and it's very reasonably priced in my opinion. The atmosphere is also top notch, it's so nice to walk out of my front door and a block over to their restaurant nestled so gracefully in our neighborhood. The employees are consistent, they know what they are doing, and it always smells good. Viktor especially takes care of me and he always cracks jokes and has a smile on his face. I never wait longer than my estimated time, and frequently food is done quicker than that anyway. They have a welcoming building with multiple entrances and options for outdoor seating. One of those places where it's a no brainer to stop in and try it out. Don't know if this was a normal night but we ordered three dishes and all three were way too salty -- the steak, lechón, fish, and beans. The seasoning was otherwise good and if they could just scale back the salt it would have been really tasty. The rice, tostones, and yucca were all very good and not too salty. I'm really hoping they'll read this and tone down the salt, and hopefully if we try it again we can say it's much better and upgrade this review. read more

I'm a frequent patron and I feel like family every time I come in; which is often, weekly mostly. I often don't feel obligated to provide reviews on restaurants that I enjoy, especially if the food, the customer services and ambience speaks for itself. The food is fantastic and I've never been disappointed by anything that I order from the menu. However today I was able to bare witness too the intrinsic nature of the establishment/staff itself; something that I have also been a benefactor of;which is the love/ humility that this restaurant/ staff have for their community based members/ Service providers and patrons. While waiting for their food, the emergency responders got a call which required them to leave immediately, the staff heard the call prioritized their food order and told them not to worry about the cost. Of course the emergency responders debate the decision, even still the restaurant staff would not relent and gave them the food on the house! This is way Mojitos has a loyal customer me forever! Mojitos looks out for its community base service workers, me included, Covid has been hard on everyone especially our local restaurants so please patron! But Mojitos makes you will feel appreciated! look into all the humanitarian work and charity this restaurant engages in, They are amazing! read more

I really want to give this 5 stars as it was practically perfect in every way. Except my food was undercooked and as it was a vegetarian-based dish, the vegetables just weren't done enough. The food here makes this fat kid dance. The empanadas are on point, the arepas made me cry, and their mojitos... heaven. We sat outside in 40 degree weather, we started with 2 heaters and one ran out of fuel but I didn't let anyone know because the deliciousness of the food kept me warm. Get the Pabellon when you come here. Mojito was the first Venezuelan food I've ever had before, but it's some of the most flavorful Latin American cuisine I've had in Seattle. The Pabellon, which is supposedly one of Venezuela's national dishes, is a dish consisting of shredded beef, beans and rice. The beef is flavorful beyond words, with a great balance of smoky meat flavor and acidity from the citrus sauce that I assume it's cooked with. It's also incredibly tender without being sloppy like barbacoa you'd get at Chipotle. The rice is really aromatic too and helps balance out the strong flavor profile of the beef and the savory notes of the black beans. All of this is wonderfully tied together by the chipotle sauce they give you on the side. My friend and I couldn't get enough of it - it really helps bring everything together beautifully. The dish also comes with a few fried plantains which provide a much-welcomed sweet element to the dish. For less than 15 dollars with tax and tip, you're paying for some of the best Latin American food in Seattle. Definitely will be back here again for some of their other signature dishes! read more

My partner and I were really excited to try this place as many reviews were great but as the one star suggests, this place sucked. Its sad it sucked I love adding local restaurants to my list of suggestions when we're too tired to cook but heres the list... We were seated quickly and received two plastic cups of water, my boyfriends napkin was wrapped around his silverware with a red sauce stain on the inside:( We are super forgiving and understanding people, neither of us have given a bad review, but we just felt scammed! i received my plate i got some shrimp dish and my partner got a chicken dish and a side of yucca fries. There was a probably 5 shrimp in a very very mild flavor sauce and a big ass spinach salad. Not much flavor, no heart, tried eating the onion for some spice and nothing. My boyfriends chicken was on the bone dry asf and no flavor. For 22 dollars a plate im expecting more than some spinach and a few shrimp. I could've made better with the random shit in my fridge, regardless, the sauce for the yucca was straight up garlic and we both had headaches after from our own breath and had to mouthwash as soon as we got home. All in all it was a 60 dollar meal for literally nothing. The service was barely anything, the food sucked, and the price was crazy. Bongos is my recommendation if ur looking for good Caribbean food, costs us the same amount for three dishes, two sides, and two drinks with much much more flavor. I think this place is just for white people or something...we literally left feeling sad. Also the dishes were super cheap, reno for this place looked affordable and yet a 60 dollar meal. OK. I've seen the reviews about the wait and the cramped quarters. If that bothers you stay away. But if you look at the glass as 1/2 full, think of it as cozy and one helluva popular place. Then all your impatience should melt away and you can let the waves of a unique experience wash over you. Our waitress Amber, was the hardest working person I have ever seen. Making things right for us and keeping us happy. The food is Exceptional with a capital E! Authentic! Garlicky! Delicious! I got the Pabellon and couldn't have been happier. A couple of Tecate beers to wash it all down and I'm a happy camper. The owner, Luam, came around talking to all the customers. Takes real pride in his business as he should. Try it, you'll like it! We almost missed this place but seriously, our experience here just made our trip to Washington! Terrific and authentic South American food in a tiny hole in the wall place. Glad we called ahead to see if there was room for the 5 of us, the owner was nice enough to hold a table while we made our way over. The staff is so friendly and you forget how important that part of the experience is when you have a meal. My teenage kids loved it. The ceviche was so fresh and the meals were true soul food with generous portions. Absolutely recommend. Additionally, they make 1000 meals per month to donate to the food pantry. First of all, the place is small. If your sense of timing is poor, you may have to sit outside. I ordered the Tortilla Española and the Parilla Mojito Dinner. To drink I ordered the Caipirinha. The Caipirinha was excellent and very refreshing. The Tortilla Española was also excellent, especially with a touch of Mojito's hot sauce. The Parilla Mojito Dinner is composed of 1 fried yucca stick with garlic sauce, 2 tostones (twice fried plantain disks, basically a plantain that thinks it is a french fry) with garlic sauce, grilled citrus marinated steak, black beans, white rice, and a scoop of guasacaca (an avocado based sauce similar to guacamole but with slightly different ingredients). It is easy to see why this is the first dish listed- Delicious!. Steak was prepared correctly, the citrus marinade giving it a slightly different flavor than one expects. The only warning I can give is that if you are here on a date, do not order the yucca and tostones with the wonderful garlic sauce. Very garlicky, enough to kill a vampire, but very very good. Apparently on Wednesdays there are $5.00 Mojitos available. read more

We tried four different ones and they were all delicious from the pulled pork to the pulled beef to the steaks. All were good and I'd say the pork was my favorite. The chef/owner came out to say hello, which was a nice touch. Always like places that have pride of ownership. Not a big place, so call ahead. Victor is the man!! Absolutely genuine human being who makes amazingly delicious food. Went with my brother's and we had 3 of the sandwiches for lunch. The Pepito was a favorite but all of them were fiiirreee in the best way. Also had a few of the TNT cocktails and they packed a punch. Such a great deal. All in all, I would totally recommend this spot if you're in Lake city and feel like a great sandwich for lunch or a Latin dinner with a new twist. Outstanding Cuban cuisine!! I had the Lechon Asado. It was perfectly cooked. Just right amount of garlic and lemon! The black beans and rice were cooked to perfection and the tostones were crispy and tender! The only downfall is the size of the restaurant...quite small. They offer outdoor seating but it's only comfortable to sit outside during the warmer months. All in all it's a place I'd recommend! Oh and the mojitos are really good too!!! read more

Favorite spot, different locations! Mojito introduced me to my very first mojitos way back when they were on Denny's! Wayyy back when!!! It was my very first drink of alcohol!! Becoming an adult is fun!!That place was big, bustling and oh so much fun on weekends. Live music, good food, dancing! You name it, they got it. And then they moved. Juicy steak with rice, black beans, yuca frita, tastibes and guasacaca. This is my second favorite dish. Lechon Asado- tasty shredded pork with yuca, tostones and my fav - congri. Yuca fries are nice and crunchy. Tostones are pretty good too. To balance it all out, try their special homemade habanero hot sauce. That liquid gold concoction is made fresh daily and set in a decanter by the kitchen. It is soooo spicy, kind of like getting a slap in the face that wakes you up. But it's a good slap! And once you start eating, you can't stop. Happy endorphins party :) Pescado frito is also good. Not too crazy about the pescado mojito though. Pair them all with their flan or many mojitos flavors. I like sun blaster, mojito, caipirinha and their tucan! They have sangria and wine as well. And on the weekend- they have their special oxtail dish. It's a traditional Cuban dish that people share on Sunday's. Or so I was told. It's a nice big bowl of hearty stew guaranteed to knock your hangover out. :) Add their special habaneros sauce , it's pure magic!! Party for my tastebuds every single time. I am always in search of new places with different flavors and spices, boy did I stumble upon the right place. I ordered the Pabellon which is shredded beef marinated in this amazing sauce! It seriously had explosive flavors. It's tangy, slightly sweet, and definitely had a combination of savory spices all in one dish. The maduros were absolutely delicious. I love it when the edges get slightly burnt and crisp. Even the beans had great flavor. I'm not usually a big fan of beans but I ate everything on my plate. Cleaned it! Mojito has a nice extensive drink list and of course their specialty are mojitos. I didn't get one, but they were very enticing. Perhaps, next time on a nice sunny day while sitting on their patio. The location is on this funky little triangular corner near I-5. It's not a very big restaurant however, we didn't have to wait to get a seat. There is plenty of street parking around but beware the restaurant is on a one way street. In my opinion mojito is WAY better than Bongos. This place epitomizes what I think of when I hear cuban food. Tons of flavor and tender succulent meat. Paseo may win when it comes to cuban sandwiches but Mojito takes the cake when it comes to plated food. I have literally been craving Mojito since my last visit.
