The other table appeared visibly distressed and were clearly trying to keep to themselves. Staff initially tried to calm things down and keep everyone there. When the behavior continued and escalated, they made the right call and asked the disruptive group to leave. You could feel the room relax once they were gone. Unfortunately, situations like this happen sometimes when alcohol is involved. From where I was sitting, the staff handled a tense situation professionally and fairly.
