Went with friends who had dined previously. I don't think anyone of our party was pleased with food. I had pork taco, verde tamale and shrimp taco. Shrimp taco was yummy. Pork was bland and tamale had way too much corn meal along with bland chicken filling. Others had chicken taco and it didn't measure up to the last time they had it. Drinks were great. This is my first time here. Started with bourbon on the rocks and the blue cornbread with honey butter. It was almost like cake. Really good. For my entré, I selected the Chipotle Lamb Costillas with asparagus and potato gratin. Cooked perfectly and the flavors, amazing. read more

I was a little skeptical to try this place because of some bad reviews but I decided to give it a try. The restaurant is beautiful inside and out, the atmosphere is relaxing and service was attentive. We order calamari as an appetizer and it was a little bland it needed more flavor. We also order the French toast and the chocolate was a little overwhelming on the dish. The tamale verde and paella were delicious but overall a good experience but they need to be more consistent with the food. read more

Came here with my best friend. Upon driving up (in the evening) it is very beautiful. Parking is pretty tricky and I could see on a busy night this being an minor issue. The hostess was very kind, she let me know about the bar and the seating area. I ordered the crab cake as my entree, definitely a great choice. If you're looking for "lump meat" this is NOT for you though. Great drinks and a lovely ambiance. Tons of vegetarian options which was shocking! The restaurant is very beautiful but the food and service was absolutely garbage. I work in a fine dining restaurant and this was definitely not that. The server took our order then came back 20 min later to confirm what we order. I then watched him enter the order into the POS. The food finally came and the order was still incorrect and freezing cold. He brought he second plate out and the order was still incorrect and the steak was tough and STILL cold. There are no front of house managers walking the floor to check in on guest and my server was very aware of me being upset and didn't think to go grab a manager to assist. I definitely will not be recommending to anyone. Not impressed and definitely not worth the hype. read more

I love this place. Hands down one of my favorite local spots. The food is awesome and the service is always great. I have tried most of the menu by now and it's all very good but have settled on a few favorites like the Cuban Sandwich. We were so disappointed in Mojave! We had a recommendation from a foodie friend - we went to celebrate my husband's birthday- but our experience was the worst. First, it was raining heavily and the valet (which costs $5 plus tip) got in our new Tesla soaking wet and left a terrible smell of cheap cologne in our car. Plus, they set the valet stand away from the front door so you had to walk through standing water to get in the building. When we got seated, the table had permanent drink rings on the table which my husband asked if the table was clean. The hostess was perturbed that he asked for it to be wiped down again. The multiple rings were still there so it gave the appearance of being unclean. We were seated next to a table of 12-14 very loud people which was not the restaurant's fault but a couple should not be seated in a small room with a large group. The waiter came quickly to get our drink order and chip order (customers are charged 5 dollars for chips and salsa) but after delivery of the drinks, didn't return for 25 minutes. We had to ask the host for our waiter and when we asked what happened, he just shrugged and took our order. We then ordered appetizers and entrees. We had the calamari. The crust didn't stay on the calamari and was not hot when it came out. Then, our entrees came immediately before we had time to even start our appetizers. The food was not good nor was it presented well. The tacos were cold and had the single topping just piled on. I could go into detail about each item but it was just all bad. We then had to wait for a long time for our outrageous bill for the quality of food we had. I cannot remember a restaurant in Atlanta that was so disappointing. Additionally, when we got our car, the seat was wet from the valet and we had to stand in the rain to wait for our car. There are so many outstanding Latin restaurants in Atlanta so don't go to this one...it is NOT GOOD! read more

My husband and I tried to dine here on a Saturday. We arrived 4:45pm and a lot of people seemed to be arriving at the same time. We asked the hostess for an outdoor table and we were told it would be an hour wait. What was hard to understand about that was that more than half the outdoor tables had no one seated at them. Some tables needed dishes cleared but no one was sitting there. There was a sign outside that they are hiring. I guess they need help quick. They are either short staffed or poorly managed to have empty tables and long wait times at the same time. They need to get their act together.Not worth the wait. read more

Very expense for what you get. My friend and I got 2 tacos each and shared cheese dip and salsa. We each had three drinks with virtually no alcohol in them and our bill was $120! Food was $40 and drinks were $80!! We complained about the drinks and the bartender wouldn't make things right. Definitely not worth it. The restaurant clearly gouging customers at the bar! This is a good place; not great but good. The paella was pretty bland and did not have chunks of chicken but a drumstick plonked down in the broth. Fair amount of seafood, but overall pretty bland. The hubby had crab enchiladas; they were ok-nothing special. The table next door had the Cuban sandwich which looked delish. They didn't have frozen margarita only in the rocks. I ordered a Rio Suave cocktail which was delish. Ques was good. I'll go back but I'll get simpler fare. read more

Hello I'm very happy to see that the owner responds to most reviews. Perhaps you can enlighten me as to why I just placed an order this evening for shrimp taco and Mexican street corn and my bill came to 46.20? Including delivery, taxes and tip. (1) taco containing some cabbage and a very good sauce and an ear of corn. $18.00 for one sparsely filled taco. I guess I must have missed something in the description. I don't mind paying for food when it's good....this seems like too little for too much. I Will have to contemplate ordering again from your restaurant. read more

My first visit to Mojave was last night. I went to listen to jazz/Raquel Lozano band. Here's a quick checklist: Hostess/Greeting - Awesome! Atmosphere  - Great! Restaurant decor - Great! Band - Great! Bartenders/waitstaff - SUCKED!!!! I sat at the bar...there were 3 bartenders/waitstaff ... 2 guys, one female. All appeared to be too busy to notice me for approx 8 minutes...absotuley no eye-contact. Surely,  they noticed me. I'm the only cute black lady at the bar, wearing a orange jacket with big naturally curly hair!! As I'm waiting to be served...I'm thinking it can't be a black thing...surely they've seen and have waited on black customers before me ( yes there were other black patrons...this is Atlanta).  Than I thought this must be want the "1960's Woolworth's protest" felt like. The non-bearded waiter wiped the bar down  just short of my area. I asked can you wipe my area...supposedly he thought it was already done. I placed my order with him, dessert and wine. I also asked for water...that never came. Minutes later, the female bartender gave me water, somehow she  knew I asked for water. My non-bearded waiter kept addressing  me as "girl". I'm like where am I...the 1950's... I asked him to stop. A lovely lady (from the kitchen) served my dessert/ Lava cake and assured me I would love it, which I did. Well my waiter did not come by to ask how everything was until I was almost finished. No first bite rule here. Nor did he offer pleasantries as most bartenders /waiters do. If it were not for such a warm greeting when I arrived I would have left. Hopefully these bartenders treat other black customers better than they did me. *Im always researching new event space. read more

My husband and I really enjoyed our experience at Mojave. I took advantage of their New Years menu and had a house salad, scallops, and mousse dessert. Everything was delicious except for the dessert- it tasted like chocolate icing in a martini glass, super sweet and too thick in my opinion. Still giving 5 stars because everything else was great. My husbands lamb dish was tasty and cooked perfectly. Our server Carter was top notch as well as the rest of the staff we interacted with (shout out to Iago!) The owner Miguel stopped by and said hello, he was sweet and charming. They even gave us each a $10 gift card for our next visit! We will be back. read more

Service was excellent, however the Chicken Mole I ordered lacked flavor. It was a small leg/thigh quarter, must have come from a tiny chicken. The charro beans and rice was the only item I could eat. I have lived in San Antonio and Santa Fe and made Chicken Mole myself. The chef should just go buy Dona Maria Mexican Mole sauce, mix with chicken broth and this would be far better than what I was served. No flavor. I'll stick with Latin restaurants on Buford Highway, where I can get excellent chicken mole for half the price and with lots of flavor. read more

BEAUTIFUL space. We were there for my friends 30th bday brunch. Bottomless mimosas are ALWAYS appreciated. Our server wasn't super excited, but not all of them are.
