Went for a nice dinner here on Saturday night and we sat with the Owners daughter Lola. She did a Fantastic job. Very knowledgeable, attentive stopped by to check on us. Next time you are there ask for her. The food was Amazing as the photos look. Hot and Fresh!! The Ambiance makes you feel like you are in New Orleans!! The BEST Cajun food anywhere!!! Wish I could give it 10 stars.

Food was awesome I had a seafood jambalaya. It was on point! I'm coming back next week to try something else. I can't wait. The server was awesome friendly and knowledgeable of the menu.

Liam was a PHENOMENAL cocktailer! He recommended the Key Lime Pie martini and the crawfish arancini's!

Location right downtown but you feel like your stepping into a place on Bourbon Street. The menu is very authentic to what you find down there. We started with fried Gator Tail presented very nice. The hubby went straight for the Gator Burger myself went for a healthy meal Fried Green Tomato BLT. Beer menu has a lot to choose from with local breweries available. We sat in the bar area but they do offer outdoor seating and a dinning room

We kinda came here by accident! I was craving Jamaican food and somehow online, the closest "Jamaican" restaurant to Naperville was here. So definitely was shocked when we walked into a Cajun restaurant instead and the closest thing to Jamaican food was the Jamaican flavored wings... Probably should've looked up the menu before walking in here but oh well. I ended up ordering the Jambalaya and my husband ordered alligator tail since we were here and honestly can't complain. Food was decent, portion sizes are huge. Staff was friendly. Looked a little grimy on the inside but I'm not sure if maybe that was the tavern style vibe they were going for. Super chill restaurant/bar overall and on our way out we even saw they have trivia nights during the summer

Their food is always on point! Such great flavors. The service was good even though it was so late. The outdoor seating area is great at night, you can hear the places next door. Everyone is out enjoying life. This is a great experience!

LESS FOR MORE This…read moreHalal chicken spot charges an awful lot for their food. The Port of Peri Peri has a storefront next to a Dunkin on Weber Rd in Bolingbrook, about half a mile north of I-55.  We tried them once before (in 2020) hoping for a better experience five years later, unfortunately that wasn't the case. My biggest hangup is that everything is just too expensive.  A ¼ chicken is $10 and comes with no sides, which are $4.50 each.  Compare this to Nando's where the same ¼ chicken is $7.75 and sides are just $3. The chicken & rice bowl ($18) was my wife's pick and she enjoyed it, however I don't think it was a good value.  Twenty bucks for what amounts to 4 chicken tenders over rice?  C'mon. I will say that their stuff is legitimately SPICY.  Even the 'mild' has plenty of punch, nevermind the 'hot' which sent me into a coughing fit.  Definitely steer towards the lower end of their heat scale. Their pop machine was out-of-order (and it appeared to have been for some time).  Dining room chairs weren't the comfiest, and the random chandelier - although elegant - doesn't in with fit the ambiance. Employees were nice. I used a coupon mailer for $5 off, which made the eyebrow-raising cost a bit more tolerable.  Without one, I probably wouldn't return. * TL;DR * I'm not a fan of overpaying, be it clothes, cars, or chicken(s). An a la carte sandwich here is a whopping $14!  (only $9 at Nando's) Also of note, these Peri fries don't come with a special mayo or anything for dipping.  Perhaps corn is a better choice? The best thing I can say about Port of Peri Peri is that they don't play around with spices.  When they say something is hot, they mean it.  Other than that, not too many redeeming qualities here.

My mom always orders the endless shrimp and I went with the fried flounder for lunch. I got coleslaw for my side which was creamy and so good! My mom enjoyed her side salad and baked potato for her side. She also loved the options for the endless shrimp. Her go to shrimps were the following: coconut shrimp, shrimp scampi, and Walt's favorite shrimp. This continues to be a good deal even though the price went up. Oh and those Cheddar bay biscuits...always hot, buttery, cheesy and oh so good! Love this place!!

We had reservations for 1:00, we were all at the front desk by 1:01 but didn't get seated until 1:30. During this time we witnessed incomplete parties with no reservations just walk in, a male wait staff, who refused any more tables of "old people", because he already had 2 tables with "old people ". The another female server who didn't want anyone sitting in her section. All this while plenty of booths and tables sat empty. All 3 of us, decided to try the Endless Shrimp promotion for $24.99. Four recipes of shrimp were offered which included shrimp scampi. Walt's shrimp (fried with a light corn batter), Marry Me Shrimp (their new offering) and shrimp Alfredo with fettuccine. The shrimp scampi in the garlic butter was horribly overcooked and rubbery. This recipe for Marry Me Shrimp would have me running out to find a divorce attorney. It was just tomato sauced so overcooked it was like eating shrimp jerky. Thank goodness the shrimp scampi garlic sauce worked well to dip the cheddar biscuits and broccoli into in the garlic oil. As far as the ambiance, this locations appearance was very old and has seem better days. A clear plan to paint and add new rugs would add an improvement however, I'm getting a sense that corporate is just trying to suck dry the life out of the remaining restaurants. It's a shame that this is happening at a restaurant that once provided a decent meal to charging $25 for totally inedible food.

The meatballs were delicious, the sauce actually was very good and I don't even like mushrooms at all. The second item I got was the meat filled dumplings, and those were really good. They were actually a lot better than I thought they would be. The third item I tried was the smoked Polish sausage. I will be honest, this was not my favorite. It was not bad, but the flavor on it I did not like as much as other Polish places I've tried. I definitely want to go back and try their cabbage and noodles and pigs in a blanket. However, this place is kind of tucked away so it wasn't busy at all in the afternoon. The outside of the building just says Deli. If you like Polish food, you'll love it here. I read some people exaggerating about the wait times. It does not take long for them to help you. Like Jewel or Mariano's, they're not going to slice your meat in 10 seconds if that's what you're hoping for. Btw the staff was nice. I think the Karen's that complain about them being rude are not very cultured and only know American culture. I ordered the signature pastrami sandwich for $10.99 and it was a very generous portion size. She put a ton of meat in it. The pastrami wasn't tough, it was fresh and soft. Honestly, I had Katz's in NY and this was a really great pastrami sandwich. I also got a large cannoli and meat pierogis. The cannoli was delicious. The pierogis were good but I like to have softer skin. The meat filling was fine but the outside was a bit too tough. I've been to a number of Polish restaurants and they usually make the skins very soft to cut. I would rate these pierogis like a 4. Overall, it's about a 4.5. Prices were very cheap. I got everything for $20. I will definitely return to try more items.

We asked for a menu after we received our check and confirmed the discrepancy. The server first stated -- and pointed to -- a line on the menu that states: "prices subject to change". While that have many "MP" items on the menu, the dish my wife ordered was listed as $10.99. When we complained about it, she corrected the price on the bill. Buyer beware!! Service was very slow and our server was unable to help with the menu and she DID NOT speak or understand English. We see no reason to return.
