Spicy Beef Salad
Russ L.

Service was attentive and efficient. The two service staff was managing the crown well even when it got busy. What we ordered : for 3 Tom Yum Soup - excellent, great tasting broth, and loaded with chicken and mushrooms. A+ Spicy Beef Salad - crispy and fresh veggies, but a but stingy with beef. The dressing is a but off, too much lime juice and not enough heat. Combination Fried Rice - flavorful and delicious. Two up Chicken Chili Basil - Full flavor, authentic, good portion size. Its on the sweet side. Chicken and Tofu with Mixed Vegetables- just average to me, not our favorite, but it is loaded with vegetables. Clean environment, chill with a homey and relax vibe. Solid 4 STARS We will return again and if you are in the area, come and check them out.

Visit-Saturday, 06/29/2024 This cute Thai restaurant is next to a spa that my best friend and I had visited prior to eating here. When we walk walked in, which was a little after 1pm, they were not busy yet. They started getting more people in after 1:30pm. The servers were nice and attentive. We ordered the spicy beef salad, orange shrimp, and two small side of rice. The salad was light and refreshing. The orange shrimp was tasty! I'm glad we decided to eat here after a spa date hehe

This was my first time here. The service was fast and the food came out hot! Which I enjoyed, I hate waiting for food. The restaurant was big and open with a lot of booths which I prefer. We had the yellow curry, tasted really great enough veggies and chicken. The dessert was great, we got the fried bananas with coconut ice cream.

Cozy with good food and service.

Pros: Awesome service, fast service, good food. Cons:…read moresometimes the food is hit or miss, but I forgive :) Man, I've been coming here for decades!!! So stoked that it's still here! What we've eaten lately: Crispy Tofu - I'm addicted. Thai BBQ Chicken - DELISH. comes with ketchup rice! I love ketchup rice, reminds me of my childhood. Thai Basil with Ground Chicken - freaking delish. Veggie stir fry with tofu - I loved this. Pad Thai - hubby said it wasn't that great, but he might try it again. maybe it was a fluke. Cashew Nut Chicken - this was kind of dry. Some folks complain about the price point, but I think for the level of service & clean, updated facility & quality of food, it's about right. Def coming back many more times.

The food is consistently great. We ordered the large coconut lemongrass soup, comes in a hot pot, spicy level mild, with chicken. Mild was mild and the pieces of chicken chunky. Always delicious. 5/5. Three in my party on a hot humid Tuesday afternoon. This is the first time we were seated in the new addition next to the original dining room...the room is spacious..., the wall mural interesting. Not a fan of the exposed large air-conditioner unit placed next to a table, one table away from ours, especially since it was doing a B-minus job of cooling the room, it was still humid and warm....tolerable....especially whe the window shades were lowered by staff to help with the temp. So " A " for effort, but crank up the AC please. The standing unit isn't covering the whole room. We each ordered from the lunch special menu. It was all yum. Food is consistently good...And the service and servers, also consistently good. Definitely go celebrate a birthday here, the free thermos/water bottle was a delightful surprise...thank you to my friend who knew about the special occasion ...5/5 for the extra happiness.

They are located on Garvey Ave within the Vikon Center in Rosemead. This spot used to be a Vietnamese restaurant a very long time ago. It brought back some nostalgia when I walked through the doors. Upon entry, I was greeted by a nice gentleman behind the counter. He may have been the owner not 100% sure though. Good interior seating space. Nice and clean. Lots of windows with great sunlight shining through. Their menu has quite a variety of Thai dishes and some intriguing ones, too. Prices were fair. I usually get my go-to dish which is the Pad Woon Sen (glass noodles) with seafood. This time I got it with just shrimp. Of course, I had to get an order of fried bananas. They make them to order. Just know you're getting them fresh from the fryer every time. I also got one Thai Green Tea drink. Everything from noodles to bananas to drink were very good. I appreciate the 5-6 big shrimps in the Pad Woon Sen. Glass noodles were firm and not mushy. Tomatoes and green onions were fresh. Wok flavor was on point. Good quality dish! I would get it again. As for the fried bananas, they weren't as good as the first time I had them. Don't get me wrong, they were very hot and fresh. Good portions, too. I just think they were thin with the batter and also they probably needed to sit a little bit prior to eating them. Thai Green Tea was refreshingly good. I love drinks with crushed ice! Glad I tried them. Definitely a spot I would return to so I may try their other specialty Thai dishes. Maybe I'll dine-in next time.

The portions were a bit smaller than I'm used to compared to my go to Thai place. I personally had the bbq chicken and Thai papaya salad. For $17 this dish is not only small it didnt have the traditional Thai taste. No limes, no heat from Chiles. Speaking of heat, if you want it spicy here they just add more crushed red pepper onto your dish. If you want to ask for the Thai chile in fish sauce you'll have to ask personally. We also ordered boat noodles. This dish usually marks my litmus test for authenticity. Unfortunately this dish fell short. No deep rich flavor of pork blood and the noodles were hard. I am going to order these same dishes at my hometown Thai restaurant this week just to be sure I'm not wrong. Parking in the back is available but the westbound side has parking with permit only. Street parking also available.

Given that prices for material and labor have gone up over the years, it appears that the price on the menu hasn't changed much but the portion size has (sadly shrinkflation). My wife and I ordered the Pad Thai & House Noodle Soup to share and both dishes were out within 10 minutes, very efficient and presentation is wonderful as well. The noodle soup wasn't too salty and the chicken wasn't tough at all. Noodles are chewy and plentiful, highly recommend. The Pad Thai is also pretty standard, I used to get this dish all the time due to the portions and today, it's still the same. Portions are huge and the taste is just as tasty as it was in the past.
