From the perspective of "Noodle World" (which I often confused with "Noodle Planet") and I think I've been to other locations, the menu here is smaller in variety but does cover the "All Asian Noodles" of Chinese (Fun/Egg), Japanese (Ramen/Udon), Vietnamese (Pho) and maybe Thai... both soup noodle dishes and dry / fried noodles as base staples to choose from. I could have sworn the menu of "Noodle World" was more robust 'tho with many other dishes. So, I think this might just be a "smaller" (in space) location to the one in Alhambra, maybe. Parking was easy 'tho and it's on the cusp of the East Los Angeles area. I used to come here all the time, it was always kept up and prices were reasonable, buy now prices seem to be much higher for the amount food you get. The seating area looks and smells run down. The company/workers/ owners have really let this place go. I mean really their restroom is disgustingly filthy and (please check the picture) what does that say about the entire place , I'm even. Afraid of what the kitchen might be like - even though they have an A rating for inspection - I think the inspector needs to come again. I actually never knew this place exited just to find out it has been here for a long time. The parking situation itself was pretty tight but i managed to find a spot as it's located in a very small strip mall on Atlantic Blvd. Restaurant itself was pretty small; probably 4-5 tables? I had ordered for pick-up anyways and the staff was friendly. Ordered their Seafood Spaghetti (non-spicy) and their Fried Chicken Wings. Though I wish I ordered their spicy seafood spaghetti instead as the non-spicy was ok. Had to order non-spicy for the kids. I ordered for to-go and asked for extra chilies because I like my food spicy, but the server said no because each order only comes with one packet of chilies. It would be more polite to offer an extra charge rather than telling customers no. I always get the seafood pad thai, and it's always good. Noodle World serves big portions that I'm never able to finish, which makes it great for splitting dishes with family! We were in Montebello last weekend and of course we have to stop at a noodle world. It's our favorite! We have been to the one in Alhambra and San Marino, so we decided to try this place. We had our pup with us so we had to do take out. I placed my order over the phone, repeated it three times. When we get to the hotel and open our food, we see that our order was wrong. This was so disappointing since we've been driving for six hours. We were tired and decided not to call them, it's an inconvenience to us specially being so tired. I wish the wrong dish was somthing we liked but it wasn't. That didn't matter because our other dish that was correct and is our all time favorite was bad. This Monterey Park location is pretty small, but it wasn't busy when we got there. We got seated right away and our food came out very quick. We ordered the chicken pad see ew and beef steak with rice. The beef steak tasted better and had more flavor than the chicken pad see ew, but both was missing the wok hei for that umami flavor. Still good food and portion was decent. It came in the to-go containers so all you need is a lid and your leftover is ready. They are located next to Shakey's and Just Tires off Atlantic Blvd. Across the street from Cook's Tortas and Raising Cane's. Do not waste your time or money at this establishment. The service here is so bad, and the majority of the workers are rude. I had came here once before and found flies flying all around the restaurant and landing all over my food and drinks. A few weeks later, I decided to order for pick up because I work close by. I placed an $87 order over the phone. When we picked up our food, we took it back to work. We didn't realize they gave us an incorrect dish at the time of pick up. I called back to see if I could pick up the correct dish or at least get a refund for the incorrect dish. We decided to give this location a chance but I'm not coming back. Pad thai: 1/5 stars I ordered one with chicken and shrimp (original) for my brother and one with just chicken for me, but there were literally 3 small pieces of chicken in mine! So disappointing. I was craving pad Thai for so long and Noodle World has never done me dirty before... until now. I've never had this problem at their other location. The pad thai not only had little meat, it also seemed to lack flavor. It was salty for the sake of being salty but had no depth. Pad see ew with beef: 2/5 stars I preferred this dish over the pad Thai, but this was EXTREMELY SALTY. I'm giving it a higher score only because there seemed to be more flavor, but the noodles here were over cooked (mushy). Sighhh at least there was a decent amount of beef. Beef steak: 3/5 stars Okay, this dish was also salty, but I loved the sauce so much. However, it has the problems of the other dish (making me excessively thirsty). The beef steak was a little more cooked than I would prefer, but it was still tender and came with a pillowy serving of rice. If you really want to order from here, I would recommend their beef steak but be prepared to drink gallons of water to balance out their use of salt. Okay now I'm going to say I know using MSG is not bad, but either this place overloads on their msg or salt because I ate 1/3 of my pad thai and I was dying all night from excessive thirst! I drank 3 full water bottles and I was still thirsty. I wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt so I ate some more food when I woke up and sure enough, I felt extremely thirsty (dry mouth) again. Noodle World offers a variety of Asian-themed dishes (noodles). We were lucky to get in as there were a few vacant tables. I ordered the Thai Chicken Satay Salad and the Thai Boat Noodles. The salad was well prepared and very tasty. The Thai Boat Noodles are a traditional beef based presentation and it too was tasty with plenty of fresh broth. I love ordering Noodle World to go. It's easy and convenient. The food is decent. The flavoring of the food is always good. One recommendation would be the Pad Thai. It's not the best and could use more flavoring it's always fairly dry. The Pad See Ew is really good, I'd suggest more chinese broccoli, but overall, good. The spicy wings are good, and I love the veggie eggrolls. The potstickers are okay, not the best. The yellow curry is always a good choice and delicious.
