We came to eat on a Saturday around noon. We found parking close to the mattress store. There was no wait. The food was good. Ok for if you are in the area and want thai food. Waiters were nice and attentive.

The food is delicious. Every dish was tasty. Pad See Ew - Combo Fried Rice - Paenang Curry. The curry doesnt come with rice. So you gotta get that on the side. The restaurant is new and the lighting is great. Great vibe. The best of this place is the service. Everyone is attentive. Parking is super easy. Big lot. Same lot as Costco. Overall: Will return when I got to Costco.

Stopped by to grab dinner before a Costco run, because the OGs know going into a market on an empty stomach is dangerous! We were seated right away and they had a high chair for the baby. Service was nice and friendly. They had the football game on their tv which was nice for customers to enjoy. Their menu is extensive and they have a lunch special as well. I order the pad kee mow which was tasty and I finished the whole portion. The veggies felt undercooked IMO but otherwise I liked the ratio of noodles to veggies and protein. They spicy Thai fried rice had a very similar flavor to pad kee mow, if not the same seasonings. Sam veggie as well. I thought the portions were just okay considering the price point of the food. Overall, it's nice to have a non- fast food sit down restaurant in this plaza as an option for those wanting a healthier option.

We really liked it! Great portions! We ordered our favorite Tom Yum shrimp soup and a large bowl of white rice! Service was good. There's free parking and easy walk up. I did not need to make reservations on a weekday night. It's near a major shopping area, so easy access. I like the high ceilings. It reminds me of a small version Saladang (Thai restaurant, large,in Pasadena).

I ordered the Chicken Curry ($17.95 - Lunch Special). It's spicy yellow curry with juicy chicken, tender potatoes, and carrots in coconut milk. The Lunch Special also includes a drink (selected Thai iced tea), steamed rice, and a small salad. To my immense surprise, it's very delicious!! Thai House (Monterey Park) has very talented chefs! (Quick Note: Lunch Special is served Monday - Friday from 11AM to 3PM.) I arrived at Thai House (Monterey Park) on Friday (around 1:15PM). Parking is convenient since the lot is big. However, traffic congestion is bothersome; cars move slowly at times because it's located by a busy Costco. Staff is the low point of this experience. Staff (receipt says Samantha) is terse, anxious, and difficult to wave down. Compared to many other restaurants, the Staff at Thai House (Monterey Park) felt very inexperienced. Samantha never offered water; Samantha never checked on me; Samantha always vanished; and I had to walk across the business just to waive down any Staff member to get the bill. Concerning the food time, my meal arrived within seven minutes and 24 seconds. Very fast! As mentioned, I absolutely adored the Chicken Curry ($17.95 - Lunch Special). Its potatoes are soft and tender; the rice is clean and hungrily absorbs the curry's broth; the curry is well-seasoned and flavorful with a spicy punch; and the juicy chicken fell apart easily in my mouth. I happily feasted. In addition, I was pleasant surprised at the Thai tea's good quality. It's not watered down; rather, the bold & crisp flavor of tea shined confidently. Concerning the salad, it's generic; if you imagined wet lettuce, your mind is correct. Regarding ambiance, Thai House (Monterey Park) is attractive and sleek. It's all very shiny, clean, and modern. The decor is beautiful, and the location appears well-maintained. Overall, I found happiness with my meal at Thai House (Monterey Park). Although Staff was unmemorable, the food's quality and affordability is bafflingly phenomenal. I left full and happy with a wide grin. If you love Thai food, this is an easy recommendation. 4.9 out of 5. Go!!

On this hot hot day hubby humored me and we went to Thai House at the Market Place after Costco because I was craving their spicy spaghetti with beef. So good! I also love soup, so ordered the shrimp tom kah while it was 84 degrees at 7:30 pm lol. It had so much shrimp! So good. We did order the Thai style beef salad which was super delicious and refreshing! They were very generous with the amount of beef too! Portions were super generous so lots of leftovers. Service was excellent and they refilled our water regularly, best part is they have nugget ice! LOL! Their original location is in Atlantic Square which was where we went and heard they also have a Thai House in Whittier. Great lunch specials and great Thai tea! Market Place location is beautiful! So perfect for a date night after Costco! . Restaurant is nicely decorated and they constantly cleaning, which is great!

Good location that is in Costco Plaza. Has a lot of parking slots.it is very convenient. My favorites are always PadSeeU noodle and Thai Boat Noodle. I finished my Boat Noodle but my bowl still hot The fish cake is little interesting, soft inside and it comes with a small sauce. Good to try too. Staffs are very nice, well services. Should try the Thai Iced Blended and Thai Coffee Blended. Perfect matching for hot weather!! Good place for hangout with friends or family.

Finally tried their new location off the 60 fwy where the Monterey Park Costco is located. The interior and decor look a lot nicer here and more spacious too. Ordered the shrimp tom yum soup with rice and chicken pad see ew. The soup was good, but chicken pad see ew wasn't as good. Next time need to go with beef pad see ew even tho it cost extra for it. Quick and nice service.

Our favorite Thai food place moved!! They use to be next to ELAC on Atlantic and have now moved to a bigger space and with their OWN bathroom haha (iykyk) I was happy to see the staff moved to the new place. They are always very friendly to us and our daughters and very attentive to make sure we have what we need. The food is amazing as always. Does look like their rice bowl and hot pot soups look better, but flavor is still there! We have been faithful customer for over 10 years. Always recommend them if you're in the area!

Came here for the first time a few weeks ago with my girlfriend. This is our 4th time back. Everything about Thai House is amazing. Service is fast, attentive and exceptionally nice. I forgot to take a picture of my Lard Nah but I've gotten it every time with pork and crispy pork. The Thai sausage and Orange chicken are delicious. My girlfriend loves Pad Kee Mow and orders it extra spicy! The blended Thai tea and Thai coffee are amazing as well! The decor and feel of the restaurant are very welcoming hence why we've been back several times along with the price and portion sizes! A must try for sure!

Located in the same plaza right across from Costco! They are giving 10% off the entire bill during their soft opening! It's very spacious inside and staff were really nice! Food and portion was good!

We love Thai House! This new location recently opened up in the Monterey Park Marketplace where Costco is located and we had to try it. It is nicely decorated and has a spacious dining area. We were seated right away. The service was great! We ordered 4 dishes for 5 of us and had plenty of leftovers to bring home. We couldn't believe how fast the dishes were served after placing our order.

Located in shopping center across from Costco, has a dedicated parking lot. Been waiting for this place to open since blaze pizza closed. Wasn't crowded when we came for a weekday lunch. Has a good assortment of lunch specials, on the pricier side because it comes with a drink and soup, lunch size portions. Nice newly renovated decor and great service. I got the green curry spicy- tasted and looked more like panang curry and wasn't spicy at all.... Chicken pad see ew- tasty and glad they put gai laan in it and not broccoli Thai tea and coffee were good! The soup that came with it was better than salad. If you're already shopping in the center nice to pop in for a meal, but otherwise a little out of the way to battle entering the Marketplace plaza.

The curry had that hint of coconut that mellowed out the boldness of the curry. The restaurant was tiny and in this case definitely cozy. I moved to the SGV a little over a year ago and I have been sorely disappointed by offerings this nook of LA county has to offer *ahem banana bay*. I found myself driving to the SFV or Thai Town whenever I was too lazy to cook Thai food on my own. I decided to take a gamble with this restaurant and I am so very glad that I did. It's so good and authentic that I have come out of yelp retirement (Yelp Elite 2016-2020) to leave this review. I ordered four things as take out: Issan Sausage, Pad Kra Pow Minced Chicken, Spicy Fried Crispy Cat Fish, and Drunken Noodles. I was told that they were out of the Kra Pow Century Egg and stewed pork leg over rice. Hopefully, I'll get to try it next time! Issan Sausage: Good portions. Flavor is very good, a little sour, a little salty, and a hint of sweetness. I think the flavors could be a bit more bold with the sour but overall the flavors profile is as it should be. Frying it also added a nice crispiness to it. Spicy Fried crispy Catfish: Flavors were really good. Sweet foods is typically not usually in my flavor profile, but this is one of the few sweet entrees I actually like. Catfish can be a bit more fried but that is moreso a preference on my part. Drunken Noodle Beef: Good char on the noodles. Flavor was really good as well. Not that much beef but the star of the show are the noodles. I was a tad confused on the egg in my drunken noodle but to each their own. I would probably order it without the egg next time because it does change the texture a bit. Pad Kra Pow Minced Chicken: Now here's where it gets interesting! Tantawan actually uses holy basil (Kra Pow). It's harder to find but it has a very distinct flavor that Thai-American cuisine has for the most part substituted due to scarcity with Thai Basil (Horapha). I don't think you can get more authentic than actually using the right herb. Funnily enough, I think it can throw off people that have never had authentic Kra Pow as my partner said it tasted herbally. Thai food can be very hit and miss even among the Thai community as we all have different preferences when it comes to the holy trinity of sweet, salty, and sour. I am personally on the spectrum of sweet should be hinted at and never the forward flavor. Tantawan with the dishes I ordered definitely held to my flavor profile. Very well cooked and good flavor profile. I didn't have to add any seasoning as everything was cooked just right. I called my take out in and they said it would be ready in 20 and it was when I arrived. Even as the food sat in my passenger seat as I drove home I could tell from the smell emanating from the take-out bag that the food was going to be good. Quick and courteous service!

As we were walking towards the…read morerestaurant, I noticed their big glass windows, warm lights, and occupied tables with happy faces making it inviting. We joined their waitlist on their tablet near their counter and we were seated within 5 minutes. Just like the other location in Rowland Heights, it's very busy on a Friday night! The restaurant overall is very clean except near the entrance due to high foot traffic. It's decorated with Chinese lanterns, cherry blossom, and bamboo trees placed in the middle of the restaurant. It almost felt like I was dining at a high end restaurant. It's significantly smaller than the other location, but the high ceilings give it a spacious atmosphere. There are plenty tables and booths. Be aware the booths do move easily when you get out of your seat. We were sat in the booth closest to their entrance which I didn't mind at first, but after a while the high foot traffic was distracting (maybe they could place a divider between the waiting area and the booth). Onto the food, pricing, and service: portion is generous and they are more affordable than the Rowland Height's location. I ordered the Bbq Chicken Fried Rice. Chicken was juicy and flavorful. It was easy to take off the bone. The fried rice was light, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. I couldn't finish my plate (even though I wanted to) so I boxed the rest to take home. My husband got the Continental Fried Rice. A dish Banana Bay is well-known for. The chicken skin was crispy, the fried egg was yolky in the center, the sausages were soft, and the fried rice was consistent with my plate's. Service was great and the staff was attentive even during their peak hours. I gained a sense of relief when more than one waitress checked in on us periodically. Overall, my husband and I had a great first impression. We're already talking about coming back in the near future. If you're looking for a Thai spot where you can order a plateful of food at an affordable price, this one is it!

I can't not complain about the food, the food is amazing and cooked perfect. The one huge thing…read morethat made this whole experience extremely horrible and unforgettable was the service, or lack of service for better explanation. And I have strongly feeling, we were discriminated because we were not of Asian ethnicity and because we were Latino. When we sat down it took them about 20 minutes to receive the menus, and another 20 to get water while at the same time every other table was being tended to multiple times. When I would raise my hand for service the "employees" who worked there would just look at me with my raised hand and continue to ignore me. When we ordered our food after almost 30 minutes of just sitting there, this Asian woman who refused to give me her name , came to our table and just took the chili sauce tray from our table and said "I'm going to use this for the other table since you guys don't have food, and I'll bring you one later." I said that was fine since we were still waiting on our food. 20 minutes later passed, and our food comes out. I asked the nice Asian gentleman who brought our food if I can get forks and spoons, since he didn't bring any to us. And he completely ignored me and walked away. So we had to sit there with our food with no utensils and no chili tray. I tried to get the attention of the Asian woman who took our chili tray so we can get one since our food arrived and the same Asian women server completely ignored me the whole time and only attended to her side of the restaurant. I don't understand the whole lack of customer service to people who clearly are not Asian, the ambiance felt off and you could totally feel the discrimination and different kind of treatment received. So after 10 minutes of just waiting for our utensils or for someone to come approach me after I've been flagging them down with my hands, I had to get up and go to the front desk and asked if someone could help us cause everyone is ignoring us. When I said that to the young lady at the front desk, she had someone come out immediately to finally give us utensils and our chili that was removed from our table. Not even 10 minutes after we started eating. A different asian woman waiter, who was not our waiter from earlier approached us and asked us "if you guys need to order more food do it it now cause we are about to close and needs to be ordered to go." I find it ironic that she only came to us to let us know that they were closing soon, but the other patrons who obviously were of Asian orientation were left alone. They brought us our check while we were still eating. It was obvious that they were rushing us out after the dreadful, abysmal, subpar service we received. Never have I been treated differently from the rest of the patrons in a restaurant, and I find it sad because I've been going to Banana Bay in Rowland Heights since 2010 and have NEVER received this kind of service. This will be my last time I support this restaurant and anyone who is Latino or any other different race for that matter, be warned.
