Our friends recommended Modern Pediatrics and we are so glad we took their advice. Modern Peds is a lifesaver! We see Sarah Berger and she is fantastic- friendly, communicative, informative, enthusiastic, makes us feel comfortable to ask questions. Overall we've had the best experience with Modern Peds and plan to stay with them as our child grows up. The in-home visits make every aspect of the experience so convenient for us as parents, and allows our baby to be relaxed and feel safe in a comfortable environment. We've used the 24/7 messaging service a few times and always receive a thoughtful and informative response within minutes. Their development guides and quick reference collateral has also been super helpful. I cannot say enough good things about Modern Pediatrics! read more

We were first introduced to Modern Pediatrics through their newborn classes. The classes were so informative and Dr. Tim has such a great attitude and outlook on childcare. In addition to a TON of information we received through the newborn classes, the Modern Pediatrics website offers child development guides, blog posts, and other educational material. I felt so much more prepared to care for my baby after exploring all of the content. Fast forward, we decided that we wanted Dr. Tim and his team at Modern Pediatrics to handle our baby's care. We just had our baby and Dr. Tim and his team have been SO friendly and extremely quick to respond to all types of inquiries we've had so far. All of the "paperwork", scheduling, and communication is done through an online portal which is extremely simple to use. Similarly, the practitioners are only a phone call or text away and we've been assured there's no question or concern that is too small and to always feel free to reach out. We had our first appointment today and were blown away by, again, just how simple everything was. We booked our appointment online and got a text the morning of with an ETA directly from Dr. Tim. He arrived at the exact time. He was super friendly (to our pups as well!) and respected our home (took his shoes off outside before entering). He promptly set up his space and handled our baby with great care. He took the time to listen to all of our questions and concerns and gave detailed instructions for our baby's care and discussed when our next follow-up would be. It was such an enjoyable visit and we are looking forward to our continued care with Modern Pediatrics! read more

Got same day, in home care for our daughter! Kedrica was amazing! Thank you! 10/10 recommend!

Modern Pediatrics was the perfect choice as a new mom. LeNae came in so knowledgeable and confident which was all the reassurance I needed. Their scheduling is easy and seamless. Highly recommend! read more

We started with Modern Pediatrics about a year ago to help reduce my child's anxiety about going to the pediatrician. It was the best decision for us! We have had excellent nurses at every visit and responsive doctors every time we have called them. I've been so impressed and I highly recommend them. we especially love nurse Ashley, who is kind and patient, and very good at reducing my child's fear and giving efficient, gentle vaccinations. Modern Pediatrics has been excellent for us! read more

Love Modern Pediatrics. So convenient, especially when you have a newborn and Julie has been so sweet and great to work with! Couldn't recommend them enough. read more

My 4 month old saw Nurse Sarah for his wellness check. This was our 2nd visit from Sarah (she did my 4 year old's wellness visit recently). She is an absolute delight of a medical practitioner. Sarah is so warm and at ease with kids and babies (the lack of rapport is why I left our last pediatrician). She is so thorough and takes her time to talk to the parent answering questions or addressing concerns. I am thrilled I made the switch to Modern Pediatrics for my kids. read more

When my daughter was delivered six-weeks premature, I was especially nervous about selecting the right pediatric service, and I spent an immoderate amount of time researching, asking friends, and grilling every neonatologist and nurse who I could corner in the NICU! With Modern, I was sold on the convenience of in-home visits and loved their focus on making pediatric care more seamless, comprehensive, and efficient through the smart use of technology (I'm a sucker for Pareto optimality) . But my anxiety had me a bit hung-up on whether my preemie baby needed to see an M.D. (as opposed to a nurse practitioner, which is who provides well-child care under Modern's model). But I work from home in a demanding field, and, after I decided to return to work ~3 weeks post-c-section, the convenience factor won out. WOW I am so glad that I chose Modern Pediatrics! We have seen two of the nurse practitioners--first Jen, and now Courtney. They are both fantastic. They are knowledgeable, honest, compassionate, thorough, and willing to take the time to answer all of my first-time-mom questions. Jen inspired so much confidence in me as a new parent with her direct, steady-handed, and empathetic manner. Courtney is just as excellent--she exudes warmth and compassion that makes me feel like I'm getting a drop-by from one of my very smart girlfriends who also knows everything about my baby's medical needs (and cares about her health and well-being just as much as I do). You couldn't go wrong trusting your baby's care to either one of these exceptional, knowledgeable providers! I have also interacted with almost the entire staff at some point or another, and I have been impressed across the board with their responsiveness, professionalism, and the quality of advice and care that we receive. I've never once regretted choosing Modern, and not just for the convenience. They get my most enthusiastic recommendation! A note for NICU parents: We still visit the preemie follow-up clinic that the hospital sent us to (which I recommend doing, regardless of who you choose as a pediatrician). For our well-child visits, I have always felt that my 34-weeker received all of the attention and care she needed from the awesome team at Modern! read more

Modern Pediatrics is such a game changer. Dr. Tim is a friendly and down to earth guy. He, his blog, & online classes have quick & simple explanations for all things baby. Your membership includes 24/7 access to Dr. Tim via a mobile app, he's always a quick message away if you have any concerns. I 100% recommend! read more

We *love* Modern Pediatrics! We watched some of the open educational courses they offer before our first son was born and we found them to be super informative, actionable, and calming as our son's birth approached. We love the convenience of in-home visits and it's so nice to be able to text questions or concerns without having to book an appointment. Dr. Tim has been an incredible resource for us as we've entered parenthood and we're so thankful to have found Modern Pediatrics! read more

Modern pediatrics is a total game changer! The NPs are amazing and it is so easy to schedule and ask questions!

We love Dr Tim. He came highly recommended and our toddler son took to him right away. He's fantastic with kids which is very rare in our experience. Great service! Home visits are so convenient and everything is very organized. Dr Tim doesn't act rushed and answers questions easily and patiently. Highly recommend!! read more

I don't know if I can ever go back to a regular pediatrician's office because nothing beats being in the comfort of your own home instead of waiting half an hour for a provider who is running behind. Our provider was great, she answered all of our questions, and best of all our baby did not cry when he got his vaccines! I also really like that they're available via the mobile app at any time. Highly recommend giving them a try. read more

There are no words to express how flipping AMAZING this group is. Coming from CA and having a pediatrician who was next level, Modern Pediatrics has swooped in with utmost attention, knowledge and TLC. They not only truly care about their patients, but they listen to your concerns and extensively dive deep into health situations that take a bit of working through. Our kiddo has a ton of allergies and we tend to live on the "cleaner side" of medications, supplements and food bc of this. Modern Pediatrics has really done a beautiful job merging East meets West from a "what's necessary" vs. suggested approach with our family. Nurse Practitioners Sara Berger, Bethany Flannigan, Cynthia Williams, Courtney Heck and Erin Cook are all a wealth of information with the best of bedside manners for these kiddos. I highly recommend this group for anyone looking for a concierge approach to pediatric medicine and providers who love what they do. read more

I don't know what we did before Modern Pediatrics! Every clinician we've seen has been outstanding and spends quality time getting to know your family, health concerns, and goals. Avoiding busy pediatrician offices filled with sick kids has been a game changer - especially during Covid and this triple-demic. We will never go back to a typical pediatric office ever again. read more

We are first time parents and originally found this through a free baby cpr class. We didn't know what we were looking for but we knew we wanted him to be comfortable and with reputable people. from the start, the experience has been amazing and professional. They are always on time, they come directly to the house and work with us to make sure he's comfortable whether it's us on the couch or around the kitchen island. They bring all their medical equipment with them and had the most incredible bedside manner. Can't recommend Modern as a pediatrician enough! Big shoutout to Sarah and Ellie, especially for being so amazing with him on our visits read more

LeNae arrived within the expected time frame and was very professional. My baby had a well visit and she answered all my questions. Extremely convenient service. Don't have to leave my home. The 24/7 chat is amazing. Looking forward to continuing the relationship! Everything I had hoped for. read more

Modern Pediatrics is seriously the best thing that has happened to pediatrics in Austin. We don't have to drag our baby anywhere every time he gets sick, we can schedule sick home visits the same or next day. Like they always say, there are no stupid questions, and we've been so grateful for being able to ask anything in the chat 24/7 or call their emergency number if needed. They made our lives as first time parents sooo much easier. We looove LeNae and all other providers we got to see or chat with. Literally would give them 10 stars if I could. read more

Modern Pediatrics is the absolute best. Not only do they come to your house, but everyone is so personable and answers any and all questions I have. Jen, our NP is AMAZING! As a first time mom, you can't beat the convenience this practice offers. read more

I highly recommend Dr. Tim! He is so warm and caring. It's such a luxury having him come to our home instead of having to load up our baby and wait in a waiting room with others. It makes a world of difference being in the comfort of your own home. Being first time parents, we have lots of questions and concerns, I never feel rushed and Dr. Tim always explains everything throughly. read more

first visit went phenomenal! kathryn was super kind and knowledgeable. we're looking forward to continuing to work with modern pediatrics!

Dr. Tim has visited our home twice - once for my daughter's 6 month check up (includes vaccinations) and today for her 9 month check up (no vaccines today - yay). Dr. Tim is friendly, easy to talk to, thoroughly discusses developmental milestones .. and what to expect as our babe continues to grow and progress. He does a great job of addressing both medical concerns as well as advice on day-to-day things (teething, introducing solids, etc). Home visits are important to me during the COVID-19 pandemic, but perhaps the best perk of Modern Pediatrics is their super simple communication app that allows us to text with Dr. Tim (including sharing pics and connecting via video call) - this is SO convenient with a new baby at home! Highly recommend :) read more

I have had nothing but amazing experiences with modern pediatrics. The convenience of not having to leave your home for a doctors visit makes life as a new parent so much easier but also Dr. Porter and the nurse practitioners are so informative in every single way. The online portal is so easy to use, and the response time for messages is almost immediate. I know I've saved a few doctors visits just bc of the great communications they have. I wish there was an adult version of this kind of care, highly recommend, moderate to every parent in Austin! read more

We love Modern Pediatrics! The convenience of home visits has been a life saver in so many ways. From Cole's newborn visit to check ups to sick visits, our care team has been amazing. So kind, attentive, efficient and thorough. I always recommend Modern Pediatrics to local friends, it's a game changer! read more

Modern Pediatrics is the way child medicine should be. Dr. Tim is fantastic, and Jen is amazing. We love having house calls, especially while balancing two working parents and school. Considerate, polite, knowledgeable and prompt - this is everything the modern parent needs for their kiddo. Being able to message on the Spruce app and getting a quick response with advice and articles is so much better than having to call into a queue, wait for a provider and/or having to load up a sick kiddo in the hot car and drive to a germ-filled waiting room. We are never going back to the traditional model. read more

Cannot say enough amazing things about Modern Pediatrics. We met Courtney for the first time for our in-home wellness check for our 4 yr old and if I could give 10 stars I would! She made our son feel so at ease like he was just playing with his favorite teacher. He didn't even cry when he had to get two shots because he was having so much fun with her before. LOVE. So excited to never have to do this visits at an office again!! read more

Brandi came to our home today for our daughter's two-week visit. It's so amazing that we don't have to deal with car seats, traffic, waiting rooms, etc. to have a pediatrician visit. Brandi was very thorough and answered all of our questions (as first-time parents we had a LOT of questions). We are huge fans of Modern Pediatrics! read more

I highly recommend Dr. Tim, especially for first time parents. Our daughter is a week old and I have asked him so many questions via his super easy to use app. I have also referenced back to all of the resources on his website multiple times. I am a frequent user of Dr. Google and haven't felt the need to look anything up. With all of the resources and videos he provides I usually find the answer to my question but if not I shoot him a message and he usually replies almost immediately. We've only had 1 home visit so far and that was great! We had been home from the hospital for 2 days and I could not imagine loading up the newborn and going to sit in a waiting room, especially during COVID. Dr. Tim let us know when he was 10 min out and shortly after knocked on the door. We did her evaluation on the dining room table and then moved to the living room to discuss her plan on care. Since he was in our house we were able to show him anything we had a question about. He double checked and reassured us on our sleeping areas for her and even checked her feeding and latch. We absolutely did not feel rushed or uncomfortable. It was a fantastic experience! Highly recommend. read more

We've been using Modern Pediatrics with our newborn for the last couple of weeks now. Overall the level of service has been amazing! The staff is prompt, courteous, and kind to both baby and parents. The fact that they do house calls is also a DREAM. Couldn't imagine going with another pediatrician at this point. read more

Prior to our baby's arrival, we took Dr. Tim's educational zoom series and learned a lot. Now that our little one is here, in home newborn visits make being a new parent so much easier and less stressful. It's great to know that they are available 24/7 for all of our concerns. Kelli Cozart was sweet with our baby and took her time answering our questions. We got helpful referral information about our babies tongue tie also. We're glad we found Modern Pediatrics. read more

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Modern Pediatrics! Dr.Tim was a total lifesaver for my son (mostly me, a nervous mama!) after my son stuck a raisin up his nose and it was no where to be seen + fever!
