I don't usually leave reviews. when i do, it's usually because something is so bad--I need to warn others. But in this case I feel compelled to leave a glowing review. I cannot recommend Dr. Van highly enough. I've never felt more comfortable with medical care/advice for my two children than i did with her. High EQ, super high IQ + data driven, and just cares about the wellbeing of the kids she sees. Not going to lie, our first appointment was borderline intimidating -- Dr. Van can sometimes speak fast, and drops a lot of knowledge on you in a very short period of time. But, she is extremely thorough and her standard of care is top notch -- exactly what your children deserve to help them thrive! I now have an even greater appreciation for this as we moved and had to switch providers multiple times. Sadly, I have yet to find someone that I feel is a thorough and knowledgeable as Dr. Van. I see some negative reviews about the office. But frankly, I never really had any issues on that front. and even if I did, I'd still recommend you run to Bee Well. read more

Our pediatrician recently retired and she recommended we go to Dr. Van at Bee Well for future pediatric needs. Wow, I am simply stunned at the wonderfulness that is Dr. Van. My kids are smitten with her-she has that "I-am-doing-what-I-was-born-to-do-and-I-love-it" quality/ "kid-whisperer" thing that is so rare to find in such a remarkably knowledgeable doctor. She is patient, genuine, thorough, kind, and her dedication to providing the best care for both kids and their worried parents is incomparable. (Another plus for us "worried parents" is that she utilizes their healthcare portal to provide resources and detailed information that was shared/promised during the visit-this will be so helpful if specialists are needed in the future). Having mandatory vaccines for newborns is absolutely disgusting. Knowing that they get paid 200-600 per child being vaccinated. Without even taking a look at the child. I was being charged for a well child and a doctor's appointment during the same visit, this was what happened. I made the well child appointment at least a week ahead and was given a closer choice but I didn't take it. My child was not sick during visit. (specifically not experiencing any stomach pain during the visit) I was never given any good faith estimate on cost prior to the visit. During the visit, the Physician Assistant asked me if there was any health concern and I said my child had been experiencing some stomach pain the past three weeks especially before bedtime. I stated that I've given my child probiotic and it helped a lot with the pain. The PA went on with the health checks, left the room, and came back to check on my child's stomach. The PA gave me two advices. One is to take an over the counter medication. The second is to get a blood test. I then asked the PA what exactly the medication does since the reasons for the two options were not explained. During the visit, not once did the PA let me know that by answering my health concerns (stomach pain) it would be considered a doctor's visit. At the end of the appointment at the front desk was when I was notified I was being charged for both. I paid for the well child visit. Front desk asked me to contact billing to see what they can do for the Dr appt charge. read more

Suzanne Van Benthuyse MD has been my son's pediatrician for two years, and we were her first COVID vax for kids. Doctor is understatedly calm and kind, and I *genuinely* recommend her as a pediatrician on my own volition. This is solely based off of how unhelpful and rude the receptionist is. I started going to Bee Well in October of 2023 when my baby girl was born everything was great. By her 4 mo check up I noticed a lot of new faces the receptionist included. We recently went again for her 6 month check up and received a notice that our pediatrician will be leaving Bee Well. I called to get the transfer paperwork for my baby started and I just feel like 1. They didn't care they had me on hold for a while trying to figure out what paper work I needed 2. When she got back on the phone she forgot what I was on hold for 3. Had no idea what she was talking about. They had the option to fill out transfer paper work on their website with no fee being posted but the link wasn't working which I mentioned to her because she was charging me $10 to do the paper work. When I asked about the online option she kept saying you can see the info on your portal but I don't think she understood what link I was talking about. The fee wasn't really the issue the issue was how she handled the call and how she was completely unaware of the options their site was supposedly offering. Regardless I'm happy to be leaving this office because the only good part was Doctor Colorado. Oh well. On to better things. read more

Bee Well is not my regular pediatricians office but I visited their office when I wanted to get my 4 month old daughters ears pierced. Our usual pediatricians office usually offers that service but due to COVID they have temporarily paused that service. We love Bee Well Pediatrics! They have a therapy dog and he is always someone we look forward to seeing. They did drive thru flu shots this year and had a bubble machine and the doctors were dressed up in costumes, so much fun! Dr. Elissa Gonzalez is an incredible pediatrician who has helped me and my son through so much- she was an invaluable resource during my nursing journey and has been so supportive. She was also very helpful when giving information about my son's sleep habits. I felt very respected in my desired approach and am forever appreciative of her expertise. Dr. Gonzalez always took the time to answer all of my questions and would make sure I understood everything. This office is off the charts amazing. It has a - Pediatrician who is a Lactation Consultant (Dr Van) - Pediatrician who has a background in nutrition (Dr. Morgan) - Will do alternative vaccine schedule (Dr. Van will make sure you are educated on pros, cons and the science first, but is willing to chat modify if you are wanting that route.) - Mom pediatricians who have been there and done that themselves. Those were the things that attracted me to the office. And it didn't disappoint. At all. EVERYONE in the office is great. My LO has actually asked to stay at the doctor to play with everyone there. Nagine and the staff will spoil your kid rotten and make doctor visits seem like a trip to the park. And "Graham" coming in to say hello and nuzzle is just some sprinkles on top. We usually see Dr. Van, and have since day one. The troubles we were having were not insignificant. After our first visit, Dr Van, being a wise Momma pediatrician, sent me an email with notes from the visit outlining our plan in detail. She understood that sleep deprived newborn moms need that kind of extra help. She called me throughout the night to check in that everything was going well since she knew dealing with my LO that evening was going to be rough - even when I didn't know it. She gave me support even when I didn't know I needed it, and didn't know what to ask for; that is an amazing doctor. All doctors will say "Call if you need anything," but Dr. Van reached out to check on me instead. Her going above and beyond that night made a huge difference and helped me manage everything. I NEVER feel silly calling the office after hours to check on a concern I'm having or get advice on what to do. I NEVER feel like I have to refer to google to check a symptom, I just call the office and everyone there gives me the quick and appropriate answer I need. From 'wait it out, see how it goes' to 'take the LO in to be evaluated' - I feel great knowing I have a extraordinarily knowledgeable, super friendly, welcoming and encouraging office helping me a long. Whether it is Wednesday afternoon or Sunday night, I always get a caring, considerate response from who is on call. This is not the closest office to me, but because I trust them so much, it is worth the drive. THEY. ARE. THE. BEST. Oh - and bonus -even with insurance switches , I have never had to deal with any headaches re: paperwork. They are on top of it! read more

Not the place for us unfortunately! We've been bringing our baby here the last couple visits, have tried seeing both doctors, and decided to switch pediatricians. Everything felt like a box to check off their list, instead of an individual approach. They don't take kindly to altered vaccination plans (which we have the right to choose for medical and personal reasons). We always felt rushed (which could be largely due to Covid protocols?) The nurse who does measurements and shots (the one with the tattoos) was rough with my baby and couldn't seem to care less. As a first time mom it would have been nice to feel supported and encouraged by our pediatrician but instead we felt judged, shamed, pressured, and rushed. No thanks. read more

I really loved Dr. Van. But it's the stuff that bothered me. There's a girl (huge tattoo on her arm) took my newborn's measurements and couldn't even make note of it. We LOVE the doctors and staff here! We've been with Bee Well since our son was born and have seen both Dr. Van & Dr. Morgan. We've changed insurance, and even moved across town to Cedar Park but we still make the drive to see Dr.Van! When born my son was born her was a bit jaundice and I was determined to get him back to normal without supplementing formula. Being a lactation consultant as well, Dr. Van put together a breastfeeding schedule/regime in order to flush my son's system and help him get back to his birth weight and more within the first week! Her caring demeanor, knowledge, and support gave me confidence in my breast feeding abilities! Now at 15 months, my son is still breastfeeding strong in addition to eating table food. I always feel confident in both doctors' decisions and recommendations for my son. Their facility is beautiful, inviting and clean(even with Graham the mascot therapy dog!). We will continue to recommend others and stay with Bee Well for our son and any of our future children! read more

We came to Bee Well after feeling brushed off by our previous pediatrician. Dr. Morgan did such a great job of really listening to our questions and asking a few herself! I honestly don't like writing reviews for professional services like medical practices because I don't think that's what Yelp is really meant for. If a DR has to give you bad news, they shouldn't be Yelped for it, etc. Also, I REALLY don't have time to be writing, but baby is asleep so-- all that said- I'm so impressed so far with Bee Well that here I am writing a review. We were unhappy with the turn and burn care at our pedi when my new baby started to have feeding issues. So we looked around and I decided to check out DR Van since she is both a pedi and an LC. I called-- SHE answered the phone and listened to me discuss what was happening. I have been (and am still) a mess about what's going on with my daughter's needs so getting to talk to the DR was so helpful. I got in quickly after that and now we are new patients. At my first visit DR Van listened to my baby's life story intently and carefully considered all the factors. I left with an email summary of everything DR Van and I discussed (because I have a huge to do list for baby's care) and I felt listened to for the first time since our troubles started. It's a drive for us but we will be happy to make it to have a DR that cares enough to take time with our kids. read more

Dr. Van and her staff was very knowledgeable about the ear piercing process. The office was clean and they followed the COVID19 procedures checking temperature, mask and social distancing. The nurse placed numbing cream on my infant ears immediately after taking her temperature and took a copy of the tetanus immunization. Dr. Van was very through and explained the process, healing and aftercare. My 7month old was very comfortable with Dr.Van as she marked her ears and pierced them quickly and efficiently. My infant was smiling after the procedure. Post 4wks and my lo is doing great haven't had any issues with her ears. I highly recommend Dr.Van! She took us in as first time parents to a failure to thrive girl and has walked every step with us along the way to getting her where she needs to be. She is patient, kind, and brilliant. Dr. Van & Dr. Morgan are amazing! My daughters are 7 & 10, and have been their patients for over a year. The walk-in hours are a lifesaver, and if I miss those, I have never had a problem getting an appointment. The entire staff is friendly and professional. The office is clean and well-decorated. And as a bonus, Dr. Morgan's lab Graham is usually around as a therapy dog. My kids actually look forward to going there hoping to see him. Once we did have an issue which turned out that they had made a mistake with some paperwork. When I called up, they took responsibility and apologized-something that is extremely rare in my interactions with most businesses (and people in general). I usually love it here, but with the experience I had the last time I went in I will not be going back and will be taking my 3 kids somewhere else. The Doctors are amazing I really love and appreciate them but when it comes to the girls who sit close to the rooms. They act like the rooms are sound proof and we cant hear what they are saying. The one MA Sam was talking about me to the girl who sits next to her, I'm think shes a new MA because I just started seeing her. And when I walked out to go to the bathroom they both just stared at me. Then when I was walking back they where both on there cell phones. Most offices don't let there staff have there phones out. They where very unprofessional and rude and the new one seemed like she had an attitude and seemed like she didn't even want to be the one who took us to our room. If you don't like your job then why not just leave why make this experience harder than it already is, it was a 1 year visit. I'm so sad to be leaving but maybe if you had a more professional staff I would be staying. I do love the doctors and the girl who sits up front is always super nice I'm sorry I started rambling but I'm just really upset as I write the review, I hope that you get better people working for you because they just were so rude. read more

I happen to be very demanding of the HCPs I choose for my family. They have to be professional, well-read, compassionate, up-to-date, open-minded and they have to know how to listen. Wonderful doctors! All 3 of my kids see both Dr Morgan and Dr Van. They have an adorable waiting room which my kids love to play dress up. Graham the therapy dog is so gentle and is wonderful with kids. Each doctor has her touch and knowledge that only makes this practice heart felt and a gentle place to be. I don't think 5 stars are enough. We are in love with this practice. The doctors are amazingly open minded and easy to get in touch with, because having a sick child and not knowing what to do is scary. The whole staff (especially the front desk) and the office environment just make for a great experience. They have a therapy dog to sit with your child during scary shots or just to be a friendly face. We usually see Dr. Van and she is open to any questions, is a lactation consultant, and offers realistic helpful options that don't involve just pumping your child full of antibiotics. They're genuinely concerned about nutrition, development, and the whole family. I want a doctor exactly like Dr. Van to take care of me, but I have yet to find anyone even close. The. I took my 9 year old son to Bee Well Pediatrics for ADHD treatment. The office was impeccable and the staff was warm and friendly. My kids even got to have a visit with their therapy dog, Graham, who was so gentle and calm. We met with Dr. Van Benthuysen, who goes by Dr. Van, and she took time to read through my son's previous medical records. She gave my son the most thorough evaluation I have ever seen done by a Pediatrician. Most doctors just talk about the symptoms, but she did some neuro and motor functioning evaluations and then spent time explaining the pro's and con's of various medications. She plans to follow him closely until we arrive at a treatment that works for my son and our lifestyle. Definitely a 5 Star experience! read more

We began seeing Dr. Van and Dr. Morgan about a month ago and couldn't be happier! The office is clean, inviting and stimulating for children. They take walk-ins, which has been extremely helpful and convenient for us. The staff is small and friendly, and the physicians take the time to explain their thinking and answer any questions you might have. Visits from the therapy dog, Graham, are an added bonus. Even if he's going for shots, my son still loves spending time here. He enjoys the books, puzzles, upside down mirror, beads and dress up area.
