He been super patient with all my questions and has helped tremendously. Unlike other doctors I've been to, he never rushes us and always gives you the time you need to ask any questions. Irene is my favorite!! She loves on me and my baby so well and is so sweet, understanding, patient and always a kind and welcoming face. We are so grateful to have that duo! I have been going there since I was less than a year old. I recently started a new job and am unable to take off of work to be seen, therefore I went to the after hours which went great the first time. However, I scheduled another after hours appointment for the same illness that keeps coming back and 10 minutes before my appointment starts they call to cancel my appointment saying I cannot be seen and will need to reschedule for an in hours appointment. They were unable to accommodate me even though I was feeling awful. I had even paid the $55 after hour fee already, which was a hassle to get a refund for. I think it's unacceptable to be treating patients this way who have been seen by the same office for years. This was also after many hours of back and forth conversation on the portal app, which got me no sense of help/relief. read more

I am writing to share a recent experience that I believe warrants attention. Front desk staff are often the first point of contact for families, and that interaction sets the tone for care. I called Treehouse Pediatrics to schedule an appointment, initially under the impression that they also functioned as an ER. I quickly realized they provide after-hours care only, which I understand was my mistake. However, during the call, I explained that my daughter had been completely fine in the morning and suddenly could not walk, her legs were shaking, she was unable to move, and she was crying. Naturally, this was very concerning. While the staff member initially seemed attentive, her demeanor shifted as I continued providing context. When I mentioned my daughter had ant bites, simply to give as much information as possible, she responded by laughing and repeating "ant bites?" in a dismissive tone. No one expects to be laughed at during a high-stress situation, especially when seeking care for their child. That response felt unprofessional and lacked the empathy expected in a pediatric setting. As a parent of two, I do not seek care lightly, especially in moments of distress. No parent should feel dismissed when advocating for their child's health. Ultimately, we chose to go to the ER and canceled the appointment. I have requested a call back from management and would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this further, including providing a timestamp if the call was recorded. I share this feedback with the hope that additional training and guidance can be provided to ensure all families are met with the compassion and professionalism they deserve. read more

My son has been coming here since his birth. It's generally been positive. Some nurse practitioners are of higher quality than others. We have our usuals that we see unless they are not available. They are very sweet and kind to our son. Our doctor, Dr Chang is pretty cool too. I am able to get the front desk on a call without too much holding or delays. No insurance issues yet. They also have video options for at home consultations. Sick and well entries are a nice touch. I wish they were open later and also on Sundays. They are charging patients for sending refills so don't bother if your child has chronic needs or behavioral needs. I guess it isn't enough to charge your insurance absurd charges and collect your copay, they have to find another way to take advantage of families with children who need to take prescriptions regularly. In response to your reply, you are the only practice that I have encountered that charges patients for refills. Stating that other practices are conning families out of more money is not a justification. read more

We have been a patient here since 2012. The only reason I am leaving 2 stars is because my review has nothing to do with the actual healthcare itself, its just basic care you can get anywhere. It has to do with the attitude and bad business being conducted at the front office. I scheduled a same day sick appointment for my two children at 1:30pm. I ended up having something at work come up so I called at 12:21, 12:22 & 12:30 to cancel or reschedule. They gave me a call at 1:55 saying they were charging me $25 / kid for a cancellation charge. I told the lady I called but their office was closed and there was no way for me to let them know. I couldn't call at 1:#0 because I was now in the meeting I was scheduled for. She said oh our lines are open though... They absolutely were not. I ended up speaking to a supervisor, letting her know the same. She said sorry too bad basically and that I could have cancelled through the text they sent me. I NEVER GOT A TEXT... she confirmed my phone number, it was correct, but still no text... She also contradicted the first girl I talked to, saying the phones are closed from 12 - 1:30 (which I already knew because I called). Ultimately, my fee still stands and she will note that I will not pay it. Maybe get an answering service during the times you can't answer calls. But this 1000% was not my fault that you didn't text me the link after I made the appointment and then failed to answer your phones for 1.5 hours. read more

I can't believe I haven't reviewed Treehouse Pediatrics until now. We have been taking our children there for over five years. Dr. Unite is our sons' doctor. I cannot think of a single time when he didn't provide phenomenal care for our children. They actually look forward to going to see "Dr. Sal." My husband and I are extremely discerning about a lot of things and interviewed many places before choosing Treehouse Pediatrics. We have seen every doctor there over the course of these 5+ years and each and everyone has shown our children the kindness and care as if they were their own patient. I read peoples reviews that aren't so glowing but if you really deep dive into them it has nothing to do with the care provided by these physicians. They are very busy, yes this is true, but they are busy because they are truly the best in breed. Every single interaction I have had with them from the nurse line, to the physicians assistants, to the front desk schedulers, and billing have all been stellar. Our children have had more than their fair share of illness so we have gone to Treehouse A LOT and there isn't much that would make us leave for another practice. TREEHOUSE PEDIATRICS WARNING- Be Very Careful Sending Your Children There. We have been going there for several years, and overall had good care. We were shocked today when we received a call dropping our 5 boys from the practice without any prior warning. For the record we have had cancellations and rescheduled appointments (how many I don't know). My wife has battled and beat Stage 4 stomach Cancer but has some severe medical issues/hospitalizations from the battle. She recently lost 35lbs (weighs 97lbs). Last week they finally found what was wrong and she was diagnosed with Jack Hammer Esophagus. We have an underdeveloped child who had an appointment today as well that they have now simply said we don't care. I asked them to reconsider with me assuming responsibility for appointments and communications going forward. The office Manager (Tonia Avent) said quite rudely, sir it's in our policy that you sign on your first visit and we have to hold all people "Accountable". I've been coming here since my child was born. He is now 2 1/2 (because clearly here, the half matters) I've been told that he's due for his 30 month wellness check. When I asked what they have changed, she said a bunch of stuff that was fine and fully accepted. And then she said that my 2 1/2 year old, because "he is over the age of 2" will be required to wear a face mask, and if he does not keep it on, I as the parent, will need to hold it over his face for the entire time he spends in the building. 1. The doctors office is already an unpleasant experience for him. (Vaccines) 2. You want me, to hold a mask over his face, while he can't see my expressions to let him know this is okay. I understand for children that are over the age of 10, as recommended by the cdc, because they can somewhat comprehend a little of what's going on in the world. But 2 "1/2"???? I would never imagine in my 15 years taking my kids to this place that was once one of the best pediatrics with a very professional group of staffs.We have been seeing Dr Unite since my daughter was born, she is now 15 years old and we will still continue to see him. My son was 2 years old. Dr Unite is one of the best doctors in Treehouse. My son had an appointment for some lab work on the 14th of October. I was there before 4 o'clock, I waited for 25 minutes and asked what is going on? I was told they have other patients that they are seeing. I waited another 25 minutes and I was told they're preparing the room. I waited until almost 5 o'clock and by this time the staff who was telling me all these lies has disappeared.one of the staff (Kiana came by and told me that the person who does the lab work has left for the day, after me and my son wasted more than an hour sitting there waiting. We just started to go to TreeHouse and could not be more pleased with how they are treating us and our little one! As first time parents we interviewed and got recommendations from friends and families and ended up on settling on TreeHouse is the way to go for us. Our primary doctor is Dr. Travis and I got to say we are extremely pleased with him. We pepper him with a ton of questions and he always takes the time to answer our questions in depth and makes us feel at ease with everything. Each time we go (especially during all this COVID-19 stuff going on) it is very efficient and we are taking are of. There is a bit of wait that is for sure but we noticed it's because they are so busy and that is a good thing, we haven't had any issues getting appointments yet but we schedule ours in advance, that being said we haven't had to bring our little one in for anything yet so we shall see. Treehouse is one of the few clinics that has saturday hours for open appointments which is nice if you are working and can't always get in during the week (even though it's only 2 hours) still nice to have that option. The facility is clean, neat, and very pleasing for the kiddos from what I can tell. Overall the staff is great, Dr. Travis is awesome and we are very pleased with everything! read more

Zero stars if possible. Firstly, this was our second visit. Both times there had been extreme wait times. Our appointment was scheduled for 11am. At the counter the receptionist coldly said that the doctor was running late and then we had to wait....We were not taken back into our room till 11:30am. We did not see the first nurse until 11:35am and she did not apologize. We did not see our doctor till 11:45am and again no apology. Finally, we see the doctor and she begins to pick apart our child based on their ridicules picky assessment (which she admitted was picky). Our child is developing great and some of the questions on the list were over the top for their age. She even went as far as recommending physical therapy for a non issue. She recommended a few things to do for our child, which when we asked her if that was correct (based on advice from nurse friends of ours that had been experienced for ten plus years) she did not have a good rebuttal or reasoning behind what she recommended. Clearly this clinic is a cash grabber, that gives zero care for the families that visit and parade as if they do. Next, I had to wait 20 minutes for the next nurse to come in to give our child vaccines. My husband had to actually take a work meeting in the car because we had finally left the clinic at 12:45pm well past our child's nap time. Lastly, the receptionist I spoke to earlier that had unapologetically told us our child's doctor had been running late... I asked her while leaving for records and if they could email them. She coldly stated no while I starred back at that clearly was a printer with the capability to scan and email documents. We will not be going here again. read more

I feel very fortunate to have found treehouse pediatrics as a first time mom. Dr. Grady has been wonderful since day one. We have had the occasion to need a sick appointment every now and then and they do feel up fast as it is a busy popular practice. However, they do provide the option to send a message with my concerns through the portal and are prompt with a response and have been able to help that way even if I can't get in for an appointment, though they have made sure to make sure my son is seen if they feel there is an urgency. They partner with PM Pediatrics which is is an urgent care specifically for kids and is open until midnight. Thus was a god send when my child got ill the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. I called treehouse 3 mins after close and got their recording and left a message. Their recording mentioned PM pediatrics but I also got a call back 3 minutes later from the practice. They were able to help calm me down and while there wasn't anyone that could see me there, they made sure I was set up to walk into the urgent care. I can not say enough good things about all the nurse practitioners, who we see on sick visit, or who help direct me via the portal on next steps. Dr. Grady is patient with my child, listens to my concerns even when I think I sound like a crazy mom. She takes the time to talk through my concerns evaluate why I have them and talking through a course of action or helping me understand if something is a normal part of growing up. The worst experience I've ever had with an office. Every time I went to the consultation I asked if I was covered by insurance and they always told me yes and now 6 months later I am receiving the invoices. They tell me that they did me the favor of giving me a discount on something that was supposed to be covered. now they tell me that I have to pay almost $600 for the mistakes they made. they should feel ashamed and sorry for calling me to collect that money. I checked in this morning and the check in person says Marlo (practice manager) wants to speak to me so she can explain her side of the story. The check in person made it sound very innocent. I get into Marlo's office and immediately Marlo accuses me of voiding payments and says I have a history of it. After repeatedly telling her I have no way of voiding payments and letting her know that I did not do that she tells me the next time it happens she is going to terminate our physician patient relationship. So I get through to see Dr. Duble-Mooney and that goes well. Then Marlo comes back in the room to tell me she just saw my previous Facebook post and would appreciate if I would remove it and go to her next time. She also stated if I leave the bad review up then that will affect our patient physician relationship and wont be able to continue it. So you're going to terminate me because I did come to you first to fix a problem, you didn't fix it and now you are going to terminate because you left me no choice but to leave a bad review (btw terminating a patient because of an ACCURATE review is bad practice per TMA (Texas Medical Association). And the best part, at the end of the visit Josie (a biller) comes and gives me my receipts. I asked again about the voided payments and how that would be possible and she tells me "Oh we found out that Brooke our other biller voided those payments and it wasn't from anything you did" ...... no apology, nothing. Apparently the only person higher than the Marlo is the doctors leaving me no choice but to find another doctor if this can't be resolved. read more

This is also a crazy world full of rhinoviruses and swine flus. For all my child's needs, I've had a great experience at Treehouse. Dr. Wade Travis has been our pediatrician since the heady prenatal days. He's a fantastic, gentle, and caring doctor. Our little guy loves him. The office at Treehouse is very impressive. There are completely separate waiting rooms for sick and well children. The office is large, modern, and totally spotless. Several years ago, I began the process of searching and interviewing pediatricians for the time when my daughter would arrive in this world in need of medical care. Every single visit to this office since that time has been a pleasure. Dr. Anselmo Unite is a kind and gentle man and he earns my child's trust when he talks to her. We have asked him not only medical advice, but in some cases, more general advice about her care and feeding. How nice it is to have someone we all trust and look forward to seeing. The first office we visited where Dr. Unite was housed also included a sick child waiting area but this newer office is spectacular. There are completely separate areas including an exterior door and a fish tank keeping them apart. Each side is just as friendly and comfortable as the other. The place is clean and kid friendly with some awesome paintings to make it seem as though we are inside of a treehouse. This week when my daughter started having sinus problems, I called to set up a time to see a doctor about it. That is when I found out that there are two hours set aside each morning when sick children can come in and, without an appointment, be seen by a live practitioner. What a relief and a comfort. Jen saw as at this visit and she was great. She too made my daughter feel comfortable and relaxed so that she was able to answer questions from a complete stranger. For these past 7 years, I have always been eager to recommend Dr Unite and his group to anyone needing a pediatrician. This is only one more shining example of why. read more

Treehouse is totally worthy of all the hype. What a great experience. After my first, totally deflated, bummer of a review, were contacted by the new administrator and told that Dr. Unite was finally accepting new patients. It was a long wait (seven months) but we appreciated the message letting us know. We have been in several times since and each appointment has been a good experience, even if the circumstances may have been rather unfortunate. The two times that Dr. Unite was not in, we have had the pleasure of seeing one of the nurse practitioners named, Kara. She was gentle, compassionate, sweet and extremely competent. I don't hesitate for a minute if we have to see her as Dr. Unite's backup. Before joining Treehouse, due to the long wait to get in, I had assumed it would be a complete madhouse. However, one of the other great things about Treehouse is that I never get the sense that they overbook themselves. Each time that we have been in, the waiting room has only had a few people and our appointments have never felt rushed. Also, we've never had to wait terribly long to see someone once taken back to the exam room. Like most medical offices, there can always be improvements made to the front desk area but there has been nothing too big to make me change my feelings for Treehouse. It seems to be running like a well-oiled machine; maybe this is a result of the recent administrative changes. To anyone that may be put off by the wait to get in, it is definitely worth it. We just had our first appointment today with Dr. Unite after transferring from another pediatrician. It was like night and day. THIS is the kind of care I've been looking for--and what all parents and their kids deserve. The staff was incredibly professional and friendly, and Dr. Unite was exactly the kind of pediatrician my partner and I were hoping to find for our first baby. He answered all of our questions patiently and without judgement--in fact, he *started* the appointment by inviting our questions. It's rare to find someone with so much knowledge but no arrogance. He treated our baby like a real person and actually introduced himself to him when he entered the room. He held him and cradled his head while examining him. He made eye contact. This kind of attentive, gentle, and informative care should be the standard. I'm writing this in the era of Covid-19 and I was really put at ease by how careful staff was about sanitizing, changing gloves, hand washing, etc. (This should be obvious, but it wasn't the case at our last pediatrician.) Bonus: the office was spotless, calming, and non-patronizing. (No overwhelming primary colors everywhere and cheesy smiley faces as if that's all kids can respond to.) When we were 7 months pregnant with our first baby, we started our research for a pediatrician. Based off of that research, we made a list of 4 pediatric groups we were interested in and made our meet-and-greet appointments. Based off of reviews and Doctors accepting new patients, we chose Dr. Travis as the doctor we would like to meet at Treehouse. We went into their office for our "pediatrician interview" with our long list of questions. We immediately LOVED the office itself. Colorful, interactive and fun! Also separate areas for sick and well children which we really appreciated. The office front desk staff was extremely nice too. We met with Dr. Travis and he answered 95% of our questions before we even had to ask them! In addition, he answered questions we did not even know we had. He was very informative and his demeanor is calming and kind. He did not rush us whatsoever. We walked out of Treehouse Pediatrics and called the other options to cancel the meet-and-greets. We could not think of ONE thing we did not like or that was missing from Dr. Travis and Treehouse. We did not need to waste anymore time. When our baby was born at St. David's, Dr. Travis came down from Round Rock to Austin two days in a row to examine her and check on her! Again, he did not rush us at all and answered all of our new parent questions. Every time we see him, he encourages us to ask as many questions as we need to. I was sick and couldn't get my child to the appointment, and they don't answer their phones, now they are refusing to let my child be a patient because of one late appointment, that is right, they wont ever let my child be a patient there again because of one late appointment. This appointment was to get my child vaccinated for school, and because of their incompetence I had to find a different pediatrician last minute. DO NOT BRING YOUR CHILDREN HERE!
