I delivered my baby one month early, so I hadn't interviewed pediatricians yet The hospital will not discharge you until after you have selected a pediatrician as you need to visit one day after discharge. Dr. Holmes came highly recommended by Kristie W. at AAOBGYN and the pediatrician at St. David's North Austin Hospital. Their front desk, Dahlia, was very helpful in answering my questions, and flexible while I was in the hospital. We weren't sure if we were getting discharged after five or six nights, and Dahlia said it would be alright for me to call her at 8 am if we hadn't been discharged yet to reschedule the appointment for the next day. All of their pediatricians are open to delaying vaccines. I delayed the hepatitis B vaccine at the hospital as my baby was battling jaundice as a preemie. I trust Raquel, the nurse practioner who hails from Southside Chicago. She is very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of my questions on vaccines. She explained that the Pediatric RSV antibodies shot is not technically a vaccine per se, even though it's called a vaccine. She showed me the list of ingredients for the RSV antibodies shot which does not contain any preservatives or aluminum so that I felt comfortable giving him the shot one day after discharge. So far we really like Dr. Holmes. He's knowledgeable, kind, and gentle with our baby. He gives great advice to first time parents and isn't rigid on rules and feeding times as long as our baby is gaining weight. Our lactation consultant was giving us rigid rules and stressing us out, where as Raquel and Dr. Holmes put our minds at ease and said to keep doing what we're doing since our baby is gaining weight. read more

I switched my daughter to Whitestone Pediatrics and was immediately impressed with it. Getting an appointment was super quick and easy (no long hold times). The front desk staff greeted us with a smile and were very welcoming. The medical assistants there are very sweet, patient and always make my daughter feel comfortable. I appreciate that the providers allow my daughter to speak for herself (she's the patient after all) and are always reassuring with any concerns I have. I've never seen a place that can not execute some of their basic functions, like sending a prescription to the pharmacy. I've called whitestone twice to discuss the medication, and now I'm back at Walgreens several hours later, but Walgreens has not received anything. This is an extremely frustrating process. I'm having to take off from work to fix this issue. Please do better. read more

Love how my daughters doctor takes time to check her thoroughly. Sadly the front desk people are slightly passive aggressive. I know they have a grace period of 10 mins after the appointment time . I'm totally for getting there on time but you can not account for heavy traffic especially in that area. The traffic is congested, and the traffic lights take a while, I have travelled from Jarrell to cedar park through the worst traffic and I was 2 minutes past the grace period right outside unbuckling my child from her carseat and they denied me my appointment. I tried to even see a different doctor and they were all full or understaffed . Sadly this has made me think about switching pediatrician. I am very disheartened and dissatisfied with Whitestone Pediatrics in Cedar Park. I had a six month wellness appointment at 4:00 PM on Thursday, March 7, 2024. Usually my commute is 31 minutes but on this particular day it took me 41 minutes. I arrived at 4:11 PM to the medical office on Thursday, March 7, 2024 due to heavy traffic from Hutto, TX to Cedar Park. When I walked in, the front desk lady said I had to reschedule because I had passed the 10 minute waiting period. I then mentioned that I was concerned that my baby might be sick and I wanted her doctor to see her. Her provider had prescribed antibiotics two weeks before this appointment and I really wanted her to be checked. Again, she asked me to reschedule. I then asked if I could leave a message to my child's medical provider Annika Krupp, MSN, CPNP-PC, about what to do and she said that she would leave a message to Mrs. Krupp. I also requested a copy of my child's vaccination record so I can provide it to the daycare. The front desk lady provided me with a document and I placed it in my bag and left the facility. Because my child was denied services that day I went ahead to an Urgent Care facility, where we got seen and my baby was diagnosed with an eye infection. She was prescribed antibiotics. This the moment I decided to pull out the document from my bag to see the vaccination record and realized I was given another child's record. I was provided another patient's full name, date of birth and medical information. I then called Whitestone Pediatrics in Cedar Park, to inform them about the mistake and the front desk person told me "that sometimes happens with our system". I was appalled by her response, I even asked if I could get the correct records via e-mail and she said "... I can't due to HIPAA regulations.." I was sitting at an urgent care parking lot in disbelief that I got denied medical services for my baby and given the wrong vaccination record. The next day, Friday, March 8, 2024, I received a call from the practice administrator apologizing for the events but I never got a call from my baby's medical provider. I have reported the incident to the Office for Civil Rights. read more

This place is run like an assembly line. I never got the feeling that we were establishing a relationship and in general felt like they were bothered or annoyed. The traffic near their office is terrible. Make sure you leave plenty of time as a buffer because they will turn you away when you're a few minutes late. Anyone else had the experience of getting two toddlers ready in the morning by yourself, dropping one off at school, rushing to get to the Dr for an 8:00 AM appointment, walking in at 8:10 and having the rude front desk lady talk to you as though you don't know you're a few minutes late? I LOVE Whitestone pediatrics! You can actually call and talk to the receptionist and not have to wait on hold for hours. They have a great front desk team! We have been using Samantha Harmon NP as our provider. She is a former NICU charge nurse. I felt extremely comfortable having her evaluate my newborn and would HIGHLY recommend for anyone who has a baby! She also discovered an issue with my older son that our other seasoned pediatrician didn't find. They also support parents shot decisions that differ from the CDC schedule. My children had been patients here for a few years and the staff at whitestone pediatrics in Cedar Park, from the doctors to front the office have always been great! However, their billing located at Liberty hill office is a whole other story if your children are on medicaid or CHIP. For the last year I've dealt with them calling me over and over again, regarding claims that have not been paid for and they have called me multiple times saying it's my responsibility to call the insurance and get reference number! I've spent many hours on the phone with my childrens insurance people getting reference numbers & provided it to the Liberty Hill billing department only for them to call me months later regarding a same date of service and demanding I call again and get another reference number.I finally said "I will not be calling I am busy at work and you guys need to do your job!" apparently the caller did not like my response and she even became more adamant about how I had to call my kids insurance company and get a reference number for their sake.We end the call as I again responded that I will not and I am busy at work.Minutes later I get a from a different women asking if I would like to find another pediatric provider to take my kids to.I told her I would be more than happy to after having to deal with all of this.She replied "Great I'll get their paperwork ready to be sent to the new doctors office." In a very condescending tone. Later that day or the next day, I received a phone call from our office manager who seemed empathetic to my situation, but ultimately backed up her staff and stated to me "Claims is the hardest part of our job and we do require our patience to call their insurance any time we need a DOS to be paid for."I'm sorry but every time my children is seen you want me to call my insurance for reference number?I told this office manager that does not sound right and being I've worked in the medical field and have worked in claims myself I have never once called a patient asking them to get our bill paid for us. Upper management please look into how your billing department is handling their insurance claims process and how they are speaking to the patients. I gave a 3 star for the doctors and M.A.'s at the Cedar Park location.They should have 5 stars but their billing department does not know how to do business. read more

From the polite and competent office staff, to the MAs, and Dr. Holmes and the other PAs on site, every experience we've had in our 2+ years with Whitestone Pediatrics has been extraordinary. Our wait times have always been very minimal, we have ALWAYS been able to get a same day sick appointment (which, unfortunately, we've used many times), and Dr. Holmes is gentle and great with our children, and takes the time to ensure all of our questions and concerns are addressed. In addition to the fantastic on site service, there have been multiple occasions where I've received follow up calls, both from the MA, and even from Dr. Homes himself, calling to check on the status of a sick or injured child. After a slew of bad reviews, I feel the need to share my experiences here. My daughter is 16, and we still take her here since she was in elementary school. Dr. Holmes is a fine doctor, and even though he splits his time now, everybody here is great. My daughter had developed a skin condition over most of her body that our GP said there was nothing we can do but wait a year for it to heal on its own...instead, we took her to Whitestone for a 2nd opinion where they recommended a homeopathic treatment applied to the skin. I'm old school...I don't feel natural cures work all that well but did it anyway. Cleared her up in a matter of weeks. When I need an appointment, they make room. I don't wait, they're always fine, I never had a problem with the front desk because I show up on time. So take it from someone who doesn't put up with anything less than the best for my child...this place is better than most. read more

I went here as it was an recommended by a mother's group because they allow parents to space out vaccinations. First, the doctor kept us waiting for 40 minutes. Then, he rushed through the 12 month well visit and didn't ask developmental questions except for when did she start walking and is she eating table foods! That's it! Horrible if your child needs early intervention for any development needs. Worst part of visit was the vaccinations. I assumed they order the best vaccinations with the lowest mercury, aluminum and formaldehyde-NO!! They cheaped out! So I now have to pay for another visit and a different pediatrician to receive proper care and superior vaccines! Also, if you want to call to speak to the advice nurse, they will CHARGE YOU $25!!! Updated 8/17/19: ended up just paying cash for my visit at Whitestone which was $100. I wanted to save my insurance for another pediatrician. Just had a 12 month well check visit and in comparison to Whitestone it excelled. Pediatrician sat with me and asked detailed questions on gross and fine motor skills, social development and language development. She checked her reflexes, teeth, ears and nose. She gave me information on milk transition and food/caloric intake. None of this I got from Whitestone. Next, Whitestone pediatrics could not properly advise me on the MMR shot before travel. Thus pediatrician went into depth with me in how long the vaccine needs for immune response before travel. Lastly, Whitestone was going to send me to an outside lab to have blood drawn for Lead and Anemia check but this new pediatrician did a finger prick in their office and will send it to the lab for me!! I would never go to Whitestone pediatrics- quality and expertise is lacking!!!! read more

I'm so disappointed in this place. I've been going to Whitestone Pediatrics for 7+ years and sadly I had to find a new pediatrician for my kiddos. First, when the place was new and very small, we've never had any problems seeing Tiffani Scott. The staff was soooo nice (front desk and all of the nurses in the back). Now anytime I call to schedule an appointment dr Holmes is on vacation and Tiffani Scott is either in Liberty Hill location or fully booked so I'm forced to schedule a visit with PAs that work in there and man they're just clueless to say the least. One of them Katelyn told me that my 11yo (with high fever and not eating much or drinking for days) had Mano. She was about to sent me home but I insisted on having him tested for strep that immediately came back positive. At this point she prescribed him antibiotics. My other kiddos (5, 4 and 3yo) were sent home with fevers and congestion (strep test negative during the initial visit) and was told that they should get better soon. Unfortunately, the next day my 11yo was so sick I had to take him to ER and the ER doctor changed his antibiotic, had to put him on IV because he was so dehydrated and gave him a steroid shot. It was horrible! Then 3 days later I get a phone call from Tiffani Scott saying that my 5yo daughter had strep and needed to be treated with antibiotics. She got all 3 of my little ones on antibiotics but By then my 4yo had sores in his ears as well because he developed a horrible ear infection from being congested and all the drainage and the antibiotic that was initially prescribed didn't get rid off the ear infection and so he had to take 2 different courses of antibiotics!!! Another time (that's when I decided to just look for another pediatrician) right before Thanksgiving my kiddos got sick. They had horrible cough for about week and a half and I didn't want them to get worse over a 4 day weekend. Again dr Holmes was gone for the day, Tiffani Scott was in Liberty Hill and I had to see yet another PA. She told me that the cough was normal and that I should get X-rays to see if there's anything in their lungs. And if any of them are worse I could call her or dr Holmes the next day. My kids and I didn't sleep all night because they were coughing so bad. I took them to get X-rays first thing the next morning and afterwards I called the office to talk to dr Holmes who was at this point on vacation. I asked the lady at the front desk to talk to the PA I saw the day before to which she rudely replied that she was off. I asked to talk to Tiffani Scott. The front desk lady said she was very busy and she would not pull her out of the room to talk to me. I said I wasn't asking her to do so but if she could have her call me to which she replied that she couldn't make people do things. At this point I explained that the PA I saw the day before told me to call the office if my kids were worse and she must have known that she would be off and dr Holmes would be off too. At this point another nurse got on the phone and said that if I felt my kids were worse I should take them to ER and not bother the office... Seriously???? Well, sadly, after over 7 years Whitestone Pediatrics got so busy that they don't need to keep their patients... Therefore 1 star for them. And mostly because they have really nice office now with toys in the waiting room. However the wait time is sooo long. Usually you'll sit in the waiting room for average of 15 minutes and then when called to the back it will add another 15-20 minutes. read more

Honestly, he goes above and beyond and we were so blessed to have found him. We moved away less than a year ago and miss him SO MUCH! There no better care than this place. Tiffany Scott is wonderful. I took my son Jack, who is 1 year old, into Whitestone Pediatrics last week for a suspected ear infection. I was seen almost immediately, after filling out my paperwork in a kid friendly waiting area. The office was newly painted, clean, and big enough to move around and play with my son while we waited. After only a few minutes, Tiffany came in to examine Jack who was playing with toys on the (clean) floor. She sat down on the floor to examine my son who was a little weary of new people. Tiffany was gentle, really listened to me, and easily built rapport with Jack. By the end of the appointment all of my questions answered in great detail. Tiffany has two small children of her own. Is down to Earth, kind, realistic, and takes her time with her patients. The office staff was very friendly and helpful. I even received a call two days after Jack's appointment to check on how he was doing. read more

My husband, daughter and I really lucked out when we decided to try Whitestone Pediatrics. I cannot say enough great things about Dr. Holmes and the rest of the staff. It's such a relief to have a pediatrician we can trust with our daughter, who is of course, the center of our world. My husband found Whitestone Pediatrics on Yelp, and we decided to see Dr. Holmes for a second opinion after we felt we were misdiagnosed by our original pediatrician. We are so grateful to have found him, as he is absolutely amazing. Dr. Holmes is extremely kind, and he is so great with our daughter! He takes time to connect with her, and it's clear he is very knowledgeable. He is a dad himself, and you can tell he is passionate about his career. He is also good with me, as I always have a lot of questions. He has always made us feel extremely comfortable, and we leave our appointments feeling happy and empowered with more baby knowledge. Another reviewer said that this doctor treats his patients like family, and as a new patient I would absolutely agree. His staff is very sweet as well. Our little girl got her second round of vaccinations today, and our nurse did them very quickly. Reception is awesome, and friendly. I am the kind of mom who calls the pediatrician's office when I have a question, and they have always been super helpful. Dr. Holmes has even taken the time to call us back, which is so comforting when you have a cranky baby. Everyone in the office is friendly, and it's a nice relaxing environment. They have separate waiting rooms for "sick" and "well" visits, and I know that's something a lot of parents look for! This office is simply the best. Every time we visit or call, they take the greatest care to answer my questions, help with paperwork, referrals, provide excellent care, accurate diagnosis & adequately spend time with me and my children. Laura Swann has helped our family through many health issues with our teen and babies. She calls at home to check up on them after certain visits or test results. She goes above & beyond every time. Dr. Holmes and Dr. Spence saved our son's life...twice. You never think about your perfectly healthy child waking up one morning and not being able to walk, but that's what happened. These two doctors went into immediate action to make sure our son was admitted to the hospital and given the very best care...not once, but twice! Now, in the days following, Dr. Holmes has walked with us through genetic testing and all the necessary followups to ensure we have the answers we need. Neither doctor hesitated when they knew something was wrong, and when one doctor was out of the office on vacation, the other knew how to care for us just as effectively. Few months into our visits with our newborn I get treated more like a number then a first time Mom who needed detailed information then just a quick one line answer with no explanations. Dr Tiffani was my son's original doctor and I loved her! She was great, but she stopped coming to this location. Then my son had another doctor and he was okay, we got used to him. But the last time we went, he had a third doctor! When I go to a pediatrician, I want the same one every time. This place has been my son's doctors office since he was born but I am going to find another place. This one has way too much turnover for me. It's incredible to think I am so lucky as to have the same doctor who has known my children since the beginning. I value that kind of stability and those kinds of relationships. Dr Holmes is such a natural with children. He has a very gentle bedside manner and the children trust him implicitly. His body language is deliberate and calming and he builds trust with the kiddos at every appointment before examining. The facilities are clean, kid-friendly, and we never wait. Dr Holmes is absolutely amazing! He's been our pediatrician for the last 9 years, he has a calm/personable demeanor about him that even my 10 year old daughter opens up to him. When we have family emergencies, he's quick to check on us, talks us through what's going on and follows up with us. Tiffani is amazing! We have been with her since day one with our first daughter. Their new office has a separate "sick" waiting room and exam rooms! She helped a ton with breastfeeding and they are always more than happy to answer your 1,000 questions! I am always able to call and get answers/advice and have always been able to call and get in the same day when she was sick. I found her intent to be purely one sided and was more about me updating my review to favor the practice. All she did was make excuses for her practice, staff and Doctors. If I could zero I would.. I called to schedule an appointment on Monday for Tuesday, they called to confirm which I thought was strange since I had just made it. When I answered the next call the lady said "Oh I didn't notice it was made yesterday." That's when I should've known it was down hill from there... My son was scheduled to be seen at White Stone Pediatrics' on Tuesday September 14, 2021 at 3:00pm. I was called that morning to confirm an appointment that I had made the day prior. During this time I let the lady know we'd be five minutes (Obviously late past their grace period.) We walked in at 3:14, they were checking in another patient and had us waiting there until 3:21. This is when they told us they couldn't see us. I informed them that their location in the business park 1. is inaccurate and it shows them at the front of the business park not towards the back. The staff was dismissive and refused to us even though we were waiting to be seen. I was obviously extremely upset because the staff up front had zero idea what to do, because they are all new, this is NOT something that you tell a Parent when you are sitting behind a desk at a PEDIATRICIAN'S office. I had (4) different people coming up to talk to me saying "oh you definitely won't be seen today." There was no manager on site and both employees in the front were new, only ONE was understanding. NO provider came out to assist us or to rectify the situation or even speak to me, this is my child's well being, so of course Mama Bear comes out. I called the manager Irene, who was at first, so wonderful. I hung up that call thinking WOW there is still hope. Then, Irene called to tell me we have to find a new pediatrician because the Doctor/Owner/Board of Directors said patients complained about what happen and heard how upset I was. I feel this is negligence, had the staff called at 3:10 when we weren't there after they knew we were going to be late, they would have known we were lost and maybe been able to help. This is appalling to hear that due to lack of training and incorrect placement of their location on the map and location in the business park my son is being subjected to this sort of negligence. Irene and the staff jokingly said "Yes we know our location is wrong, even my own family has had trouble." Why hasn't this been addressed? I am at a lost for works in this situation. It's so sad to see that we can't even get good customer service at our healthcare providers now a days. Like Irene said during our conversation, "You get better customer service ordering a burger then seeing your doctor." When I mentioned filing a complaint with the board Irene offered to speak with them again, at this point I'd rather find a new place to go then subject my son to this sort of care. read more

We adore Dr. Holmes! He has been our pediatrician since our son was born and he treats us and all his patients like members of his family. It's so refreshing to find a doctor who genuinely cares about the well-being of his patients and even takes the time to follow-up to check on them after they've been sick. The staff here don't care about your kids. My daughter has a double ear infection which was confirmed on a Wednesday afternoon. The nurse, Monica, prescribed amoxicillin but forgot to send it in to the pharmacy. I called the after hours nurse at 6:30pm to see if they would check on it. She calls back 2 hours later and says she'll check with the doctor. Then calls back at 10:15pm and says well it wasn't sent in and Walgreens is closed. Yeah, obviously. The next day is thanksgiving. Call on Friday (day after thanksgiving) at around noon-- it still hasn't been sent in. We request that they do, immediately. I confirm the address for the correct Walgreens. I call Walgreens at 2pm (giving the doc 2 solid hours to submit this prescription)-- and Walgreens says they don't have it, it was sent to the wrong Walgreens. TWO MORE HOURS pass before Walgreens fills the order, 47 hours and multiple calls after we originally requested it. I don't understand what happened but the negligence is appalling. My daughter is in screaming pain thanks to Monica and the idiot staff at Whitestone. Won't be back. read more

It had been some odd days and we are (unhappily, I might add) still seeing Dr. K for treatment for now instead of the lovely Mrs. Scott and her fantastic staff. There was a miscommunication that was cleared between us and I really wish our insurance company would let us change our PCP back. Her waiting rooms are very kid friendly and spacious with a "Sick" side separated. Even the rooms are awesome compared to the walk-in closet side of Dr.K's. I get claustrophobia every time we go there. There's this very odd 80's style carpet in the walls at Dr.K's office too... it's just a gross feeling. Versus Whitestone Pediatrics has always had a very clean feeling and comfortable atmosphere. read more

My review of Dr. Holmes and Whitestone Pediatrics appears to match the consensus here and there is definitely a reason for all the 5 star reviews. Dr. Holmes is an extremely thoughtful, passionate and caring physician who really takes a genuine interest in all of his patients and their livelihood. He has a very warm energy about him that very much helps new parents, like myself and my wife, feel more confident and less stressed about the new addition to our lives. Dr. Holmes is always IMPECCABLE about calling me back that same day when I contact his office freaking out about my baby looking at me funny :) These days, unfortunately, it's very difficult to find a doctor that really takes the extra time with each patient and we are very thankful that we heard about Whitestone Pediatrics through the Cedar Park grapevine. His front office gal is also extremely friendly and makes you feel right at home when arriving. Keep up the great work, guys!! read more
