Does this pediatricians office require/demand face masks on children 2-5yrs? Or is it suggested?

We highly recommend masks at this time.

My experience at this office has been extremely disappointing and, frankly, upsetting. When I first…read morestarted seeing Elda Villarreal, the care began on an okay note, as expected for a new patient. However, over time her attitude completely changed. I went from feeling like a patient to feeling like an inconvenience as if my presence alone was a bother. The visits became rushed, cold, and dismissive. It felt less like a doctor's office and more like a low-level clinic where patients are pushed through with minimal care. What makes this even more frustrating is that this treatment had nothing to do with insurance I carry two insurance plans, yet the quality of care was still poor. I was dealing with real and ongoing health issues, including high blood pressure, pre-diabetes, and other concerns, and there was little to no urgency, follow-up, or concern shown. Appointments were spaced months apart, leaving me no choice but to seek care online just to manage my health. After filing a complaint with Lone Star Circle of Care, I was persuaded to give them another chance and was reassigned to Dr. Sabu. Unfortunately, that visit was worse than the first experience. I arrived 15 minutes early, was taken to the back within that time, and then left sitting in an exam room for over an hour. During that time, I witnessed another patient visibly upset after waiting an hour just to receive a simple prescription and school note something that should never take that long. Despite being reassured by staff that Dr. Sabu would be right in, she never came in at all. I eventually walked out without being seen. To add insult to injury, I was later charged for a visit that never happened. That alone speaks volumes. I can't comment on Dr. Sabu's bedside manner because there was none she simply did not show up. If this office operates as a clinic, patients deserve to be told upfront. I went in expecting a professional medical practice and instead felt ignored, dismissed, and disrespected. I would never recommend receiving primary care here. The only reason I still step foot in this building is because of my psychiatrist, who is the complete opposite compassionate, attentive, and truly invested in patient care. Without her, I would have left this practice entirely.

I remember reading the poor reviews on Google (2.4 stars, 15 reviews) and Yellow Pages (1 star, 4…read morereviews) and thinking, "Maybe they've changed. They're so close! So convenient! It'll be fiiine." I know others have had various issues with this place, but it was the billing department that got me. They kept trying to charge my old insurance well after a year of switching and me informing them of the change numerous times. They eventually stopped asking and billed me smaller amounts in the mail here and there, so I assumed they had finally gotten it right. But at the end of the year, they sent me two HUGE bills completely out of the blue. I sent them a message asking about it, and they pointedly replied that they had been sending bills about it for a while and implied that I had just been evading payment while continuing to rack up free doctor's visits over the course of about 18 months. When I asked why no one had called me, messaged me, or simply talked to me in person at the clinic about my owing well over a thousand dollars from visits going back over a year, they got very defensive and told me that no one at Dell Children's "does that." They also insisted that because they had my credit card on file, I was aware of the balance, regardless of them billing me or not. Anyway, after the headache of getting that squared away, I contacted the administration so they could have a chance to rectify the billing department's issues. To this day, I haven't received any sort of response from them, but I was recently informed the billing department was sending me to collections. I had to wait on hold for 45 minutes, as I did every time I called Dell Children's, for them to tell me that I did not, in fact, have a balance for them to send to collections. So, I guess what I'm saying is it was not fine. Update: They sent me a weird, incomprehensible bill that states I am late on some payments and owed money on others. It has no relation to my actual visits. Additionally, the space indicating how much to send was left blank. At this point, I'd rather deal with the credit agencies than these people. Weird "bill" should help with that.

A Mobile Pediatritian, I promise it's real, this isn't a dream. I thought the times of house calls…read morewere long over but I've found now that's untrue. We called at 4:15, it's just after 5pm, he has already been here and gone. He was very thorough and listened attentively. I walked out of my house and into the clinic in my slippers, didn't even have to get dressed or load up all the kids so that alone was amazing. He said he goes within like a 30 mile radius of SouthEast Round Rock which I thought would be super helpful for others to know. The price was extremely fair in my opinion, we paid $70 for the visit and $10 for an oxygen monitor piece, so $80 and I didn't have to go anywhere!!! He even called in the Rx before he pulled out. I love that I saved myself probably 1-2 hours of driving and waiting in an office full of other sick people. I loved how clean the RV/Clinic was and loved how nice Dr. Herrera was. Overall I'm very impressed and will for sure use this service again! Services like this can only exist if people use them, I know there is the need for them so PLEASE spread the word!!! I never want to go to a doctors office with a sick child ever again.

3rd time here. So, I'm rating everything BUT the quality of the Dr/PA…read more Visit 1: They messed the appt time up. Gave me 9:40am but was told when I got here it was actually 8:40. Now, anyone that knows me knows I don't do squat that early. AND my teenager would have a fit that early in the summer. Fine. R/S But, at least we could do the financial screen 1st & make my time there useful. BUT after waiting for 30 minutes for that, I found out the lady that dies them had already left for the day. Great. Visit 2: The r/s of 1. Did the income screen, peachy! But from start to finish, we were there for over 2 hours....! Visit 3: Which I'm currently here for. 1st when I call to make the appt, they have no record of the financial screening having been done. Lovely. I explained all that & made an appt. PRO is they DO get you in in a timely fashion! But, I get here and check in my teenager to be asked about financials again. Had that convo again. Fine, seated. About 25 minutes later were called, but now 1 hour & 20 minutes post arrival, we are YET to see the Dr/PA.

Pros: I would highly…read moresuggest the doctor we saw here- Jaclyn Marroquin she was great! Very personable and very educated. I didn't feel like she gave me any lectures about anything when it came to my daughter and her health. She was great at answering questions. (We have only been in the office for well checkups.) The office also felt very clean and sterile- something that's really important to me when looking for a doctor's office. Cons: The waiting room didn't have any toys. They had a few colorful kid's chairs and an ABC rug under the table and some wavy benches to sit on (however the kids that were there in the office, including mine were walking on them and jumping on them- lack of any other entertainment in the waiting room I'm sure is what caused this and I didn't stop them because they were bored out of their mind). There was a TV that plays movies but when we arrived it had five minutes left and they never restarted it. The magazines in the office were catered to adults only- it would be great if they had some kid's ones or books for kids if they aren't going to have toys. We arrived 20 minutes early to fill out new patient forms for a 4:20 appointment and we were called back at almost 5pm (a hour in the waiting room without toys- not fun at all for kids). There were even people who got there after us that went back before us - I assumed because we had to be processed into the system since we were new- so I'm hoping forward it won't take as long. It was a little confusing finding the office because online it says their suite is 202 but it's really 201. The nurse was really quite and kind of talked facing the other direction or to the wall- not directly to us so it was hard to hear her when she asked us questions and we had to repeat ourselves a few times. Overall: I love that the office feels clean and the front staff was nice and the doctor was great- probably the only reason I will continue to see this office is that I really like the doctor, but we will plan on bringing our own books, electronics or toys for baby next time we have an appointment so my kids are entertained if we have to wait a long time again.
