Ive been super busy and I stopped in to get a quick pedicure To my surprise, there was only one person working. She was doing my toes when a woman came in and asked for a wax. She took off to wax her brows and left me there on the spa chair. Then she came back apologize and got back to work. I noticed that she did not use a base coat and her nails dug into my toes as she worked... ouch. However, the finish look came out looking pretty and beautiful. She was very nice about letting me relax while my toes dried. She also gave me a free pair of sandals to not mess up my nails since I showed up in heels. My pedicure came out to be $15. She asked if I wanted my nails painted for an extra $5 (making a pedicure and manicure only $20). I said no and tipped her $5 instead... this place is your quick get in get out kinda nail salon. Oh, and a quick tip... they charge for credit card for anything under $15. read more

Very happy with my gel nail set. I wash my hands a lot because of my profession. Usually, my nails only last for 10 days max d/t the affects of the temperature changes of frequent hand wash. Linh used her creative skills to make the gel stay longer on my nails.. Linh did an excellent job that I have to come back every weeks. I went on Saturday with an appointment. The tech did not soak my hands for the manicure and nicked my pinkie and thumb. My pinky had significant bleeding and was swollen until today. It's Thursday now. Not even a full 4 days since I got my powder with gel tip manicure and my finger has a chip in it. I haven't even done light house work. I'm on vacation. Forget about lasting for 3 weeks it barely lasted 3 days. So very very disappointed. read more

So.... This nail salon is new business in my block, haha. They are currently holding a GRAND OPENING special 20% off nail services. I TRULY believe in supporting local businesses. I currently don't have a "go to" nail salon because I've actually been lucky as far as just going to random nail salons and being happy with the work... but this place is literally walking distance so I'm going to stick with this place. The owner actually used to work at Kool Nail Spa at Buena Park mall and I used to get lovely manicures from her there, so I was so happy to find out she opened her own nail salon across the street from me! Her name is Jennifer and she's really good with manicures, acrylics and nail designs. I also got a french tip pedicure by I forgot her name... or never asked... but her work is GOOD. Fantastic, inexpensive place to get your nails done. $20 for a mani/pedi with spa chair. Clean with many options for colors. My mom and have stopped in every few weeks for several years. It usually takes about 30-45 minutes so if there is no one ahead of you, you can get in and out quickly. The ladies are super sweet and do a great job. It's more of a no extra frills kind of place, so if you want and extended massage or scrub, it may be better to find another place. As for me, I appreciate the kindness, speed, and cost. read more

Great place to get nail service. I had a bad set of nails which were coming apart from my real nails and wanted to take them off. Ms. Li and Wendy are patient and really supply traditional nail care. I received a pedi and gel on my real nails to strengthen my nail bed oppose to putting tips and acrylic on again this time. Ms. Li told me to come back in four weeks when they are healthier. I just moved to Anaheim and needed a new place to get my nails done. After moving, my nails were trashed and we were headed to a birthday party the next day. Lin did my acrylics and they looked fine. Price was good. However, they lifted really badly. Lin said it was because my nails were thin, but I've been wearing acrylics since they were invented and have never had this much lifting. Went back for a fill and pedicure. Lin was not careful with my fill and got product on my skin and cuticles. When she filed, she did not take care to smooth the edges and i had ridges at the base. There was still product touching my skin. The nails started lifting the next day! Only one week later, and I had to have them filled somewhere else. The pedicure was not good. The massage was non-existent and my nails chipped within a week. Two stars for the nice ladies, but sorry, the work was not good. read more

I chose this salon because of its high reviews and I am very disappointed. I went to the Modern Nails for an acrylic pink & white full set...and a french pedicure. The lady started with my pedicure. 20 minutes after the pedicure started, another lady showed up to do my nails. After Lady #1 finished my french pedicure, I looked at the paint job. It was really uneven. I mentioned it to her, and she tried correcting one nail and made it even worse. Then she said "I cannot make straight for you" "Pick another color". I said I wanted a french pedicure not another color. Then she took off the crappy paint job, didn't try to correct her mistake at all and just said I wouldn't be charged for the pedicure. Great! Now I have no paint on my toes and have to visit another salon just to get the paint job done! My old full set was in the middle of being taken off so I decided to follow through with that part of the appointment. Big Mistake! The lady that did my hands was very heavy handed with the drill. I flinched in pain several times throughout the 90 + minutes it took her to accomplish a full set. Yes...it took that long. Ridiculous. She did not use the right tool for getting underneath the nail to clean it up. Instead, she used the same large piece that she used for the top of the nail, effectively cutting into my skin. There are now cuts underneath my nails and it hurts to type. On top of that, it hasn't even been 24 hours and my nails are peeling! When she finished with the gel top coat, I had black specks in the nail finish, and random white marks in another nail. Not to mention, I had been in this salon for over 2 hours, for a failed pedicure and terrible full-set. After leaving, I had to go to another salon just to get the french pedicure I had originally wanted, costing me even more time. I had high hopes for this salon but was really disappointed. It was the first time ever that I didn't leave a tip, even for a crappy job. I usually leave something. But if you're going to cause me pain and make me drive across town to find someone to finish the job you started, then no...you aren't getting a tip and please don't look at me like you are expecting one! $40 for a full set, removal of old set, and gel top coat. I should have gone to my original salon. read more

Wow...where do I start. I first got a eyebrow wax. The lady was aggressive, rough, fast and sloppy. No eyebrow tweezing afterwards. Unfortunately, the same lady was setting up to do my pedicure..I would have declined but there was nobody else and I had an event I needed to be at soon. Well, I wish I would have declined because now it has been 3 days and my toe is so sore and infected from the lady digging into my toe that it has puss coming out of it. Again, she was aggressive, rough and fast. And no massage either. I had asked her twice to calm and slow down. I even asked her if she had another customer waiting. Wtf was she such in a rush and rough with everything she did? To put the cherry on top of the whole situation, the gel color I asked for was not the one she began to put on my toe. I told her right away and she says "too late, maybe I can just put a different color on top" needless to say I left in tears. read more

My brows are looking really good always and I only pay $8.00 upper lip is $5 .
