First time at this nail salon today, I got a mani done by Nancy and was blown away by how incredibly sweet and lovely she is. She did a wonderful job as did Anna who did my pedi. Very happy to have found my new nail salon and nail tech. Salon itself was nice and cool and the ladies were very friendly! Highly recommend. read more

I loved how easy it was to make an appointment on their website. I decided to give this place a try because of the high reviews, and my niece really wanted to get her nails done. The salon is in a small plaza and can be easy to miss if you're not looking for it, but they do welcome walk-ins. I booked a 1:00 pm appointment and arrived at 12:50 pm. I stood at the front desk for about three minutes before noticing their check-in tablet, so I entered my phone number. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to sit down afterward, so I waited another few minutes until someone finally noticed me and asked if I needed help. Once checked in, things moved along more smoothly. A few minutes later, my niece and I were seated in the pedicure chairs. She got a gel manicure for $30 and a gel pedicure with callus remover for $30 + $10. I got a regular pedicure with callus remover for $30 and no gel polish. Now, here's the reason for the rating I gave: not only did I wait quite a bit at the front desk, but they also overcharged me for services I didn't request. As you can see from my receipt, they charged my niece $46.35 each for her gel manicure and gel pedicure, and they even added a gel removal--she had nothing on her nails to remove. For my pedicure, they charged $41.20 and added a gel service I didn't get. The math is not mathing, and I have no idea how they came up with these numbers. Just be careful when you come here and make sure to REVIEW YOUR CHARGES. Aside from the billing issues, the staff were very nice, attentive, and their work was well done. If they can get the check-in process and pricing under control, this place could easily live up to its high reviews. read more

Would I come back? YES. OVERALL: ‣ 9/10 (-1 for wait time) ‣ Very good attention to detail Here's What I Got: 1. Gel-X Removal 2. Builder Gel Full Set ATMOSPHERE: ‣ A good amount of chairs if you're getting a pedicure & planty of tables for manicures HIGHLIGHTS: ‣ Very gently with my nails when removing gel-x, prepping, applying builder gel ‣ Patient despite me being one of the last customers I had an appointment at 4:15 PM on a Monday and they asked to reschedule to 4:45 PM, but I didn't sit down at a table until 5:22 PM, so I was a bit disappointed considering I had an appointment. Staying in Buena Park for a few days and needed a pedicure. I saw this location had great reviews and now I know why! They are friendly, accommodating, and the service was amazing! My husband and I both got the Deluxe Pedicure, and we would definitely recommend this nail salon to anyone living here or passing by like us. read more

Went in last Friday for a hard gel fill and pedicure. I told the gal what I wanted and I needed a crack fixed on my index finger. She said, she would fix it. She did the fill but glossed over my crack which, made a bigger crack the next day because it wasn't done correctly and I couldn't get in the next day, to fix it. I did like that she was careful around the cuticle using the drill. She was nice but I had to go in yesterday to a new place and have them correct the crack. There wasn't enough product on the nail. I could see the sides were super thin. The salon its self was ok. Needed the floors cleaned. I say this because I worked in a salon years ago and ppl look to see if it's clean. Just something I look at. read more

The whole staff is great but Emma always gets my nails right. Love this place - it's a little far from my place but totally worth the drive and their prices are reasonable read more

I got my nails done by Emma! It was my first time and going alone to the nail salon so I was a bit anxious, but the business manager was very kind and made the experience very comfortable :) I really appreciated how she took her time to pick out the best color for me based on my reference photo and also how she took her time shaping and filing my nails, even making sure to apply the gel polish evenly, going back to fix and reapplying if needed. I've had bad experience in the past from other salons where the technician was rushing and being careless, resulting in bumpy nails or uneven shapes. I'm so happy to say my nails turned out wonderfully from Magic Nails and I'm going to happily keep coming back in the future! read more

Wow, I fall more in love with this place every time I come. I got a gel manicure with builder gel, and I'm so impressed by how precise and perfect the work is. At other salons, you usually notice little imperfections right away, but this salon is truly detail oriented and gets everything exactly right. Nancy did my latest set, and I'm obsessed with how flawlessly she executed it. I also love Emma, but Nancy completely blew me away with her precision and care. Thank you for putting so much effort into my nails; they came out absolutely perfect. I can't wait to come back for my next set and a pedicure! The pricing is super reasonable, and I love how easy it is to book appointments online with clear price details. They also accept Zelle, Venmo, and credit or debit cards, which makes everything even more convenient. Vibe is nice they will greet you when you come in and help you with whatever service you need. Another plus is that they allow walk ins but it's always best to call and let them know in advance. read more

Great service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!¡!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jazmyn and Emma are the best!!!!!!

I came to get my nails done for a trip. I only wanted gel x with a french tip. I felt like I had to watch the whole thing because I was noticing little things the technician was not doing. First of all, drilling my nails hurt, that should not happen at all. It was caused by her going over the nail multiple times. Secondly, when she was doing the color for the french tip, I had to ask her to put on a second coat because of how streaky and translucent the first was. My thumb did not have the extension applied on correctly and I could see a gap between my nail and the extension. When I brought up the issue she offered to just cover the nail with more gel polish. I refused and told her I do not want water in between that space. Lastly, I asked for a blue chrome to finish, she told me the only colors they had were: white, clear, gold and silver. That was a lie, because another lady heard me ask for blue and she started looking. After looking at my nails the sides are horribly painted on. These look like press-ons. I felt like my time and money was wasted here for the worst nails I've ever had done. Could've had better nails from press ons. read more

Absolute rave. I went to a different nail place and the nails I got were so horrible I'm only in town for a wedding so I went to Google found magic nails and decided to try. When I tell you I showed the technician my nails explained what I wanted and she did exactly that. I got gel x, she made them nice and crisp like I wanted spent time on every step not rushing anything. I'm so happy. Super nice and professional. If you're staying in the knotts berry hotel it is super close to it as well. She spent time taking off my acrylic I had got the day before from the other nail salon and was careful not to file too much or rough to hurt my actual nails between soaking read more

I love this place! After moving to Buena Park, it has become my go-to. Incredibly cost effective and very technically skilled. OH EM GEE! I loved my experience! Chloe helped me out. When I came in, it was empty--mind you, I've never been to this salon before. As an introvert in need of a pedicure, Yelp was amazing in helping me find this hidden gem! The total was $40 (not including tip)--AMAZING! Chloe was so sweet and gentle. She asked if the color was what I wanted, even did a swatch and asked again! Not many places I've been to offer that kind of reassurance, so this was truly lovely. I'm not much of a phone person, so watching the wind move through the trees in front of the store while pop songs played in the background was just beautiful. I would most definitely recommend this place to anyone in need of an economical pedicure! read more

So far I've gotten my usual pedicure & Gel X Cateye manicures. What I love is that they do their best to listen to your preferences and meet your expectation/what you truly want. They are informative and answer any questions/curiosity you may have and are transparent about their prices/services. For me personally, every visit has been super good and I truly cannot recommend this place enough! The overall vibe of the environment is a 10/10 :) read more

I saw a lot of reviews about Emma so I decided to try out the Groupon deal for the Gel X with design. Thankfully, I was able to book an online appointment with her for the very next day. The appointment only took about an hour, so I was relieved because I thought it might take longer, she took the time to make sure that I was satisfied with the end result, and she was also very easy to talk to. This is my first official experience at a nail salon in the US so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. There was a quite a bit of filing and buffing involved. Originally I was thinking of using my natural nails, but I actually do like the feel of the Gel X. For the fake nails, she did clip my real nails a bit for hygienic reasons. She didn't judge my hands at all, and actually told me that they're very soft. I'm very self-conscious about mine, but I felt welcomed there. The only thing is my left thumb looks a bit off, but that might partially It's not a big deal be due to the shape of my nail. She originally wanted to give me almond ones, but I opted for the more square style. The interior is very clean, and costed about $65 with tip. I'm returning for my next set and to get a pedicure, too! I highly recommend Magic Nails, and to book with Emma. It turned out so cute; I'm in love! The way the glitter glistens in the light is gorgeous. read more
