Was looking for a nail salon near by & came across this place. Lovely interior, spacious, & clean as well. The nail techs are very nice! My mom's nails came out the way she wanted & was satisfied with both her mani pedi However on my end, not so much. I asked for a design & the nail tech that did my manicure did not replicate it at all. Especially with the picture right in front of her. Then the lady that did my pedicure was a tad bit rough and my nails were filed crooked. My mom had a good experience and mine was ehh so to each their own. read more

I came here to get my toes done and a manicure, everything was marvelous! Then I came back a 3rd time to get a full set and I noticed the guy was putting a lot of powder on my nails! Don't get me wrong the shape was great! The only problem here was how FAT and THICK my nails looked! Looks like I got some EGGS!! On my finger nails!! Horrible job.. I kept forgetting to give V nails a review, but here it is. I been coming to Vy nails for about 3 years now even after I moved 60 miles away from her. She is an excellent person. A peacefully place just to relax while during your nails and toes. I also enjoy the ways my toes gets done by the ladies. She squeezes me in on my busy schedule but ladies be patient sometimes it takes longer than usual but worth the time. Her prices are reasonable. read more

I have been going to V Nails and Spa for maybe half a year now for pedicures, I live in Hawthorne but my Fiancé lives close to Norwalk, so I always make sure to book an appointment when I'm heading out that way. I have had an amazing experience every single time. They are so welcoming and attentive they offer you something to drink every time. I never have a problem with booking an appointment. I am new to the area and was looking for a new place for a pedicure. I was greeted with a cold bottle of water on a hot day! They were able to get me in fairly quickly. My pedicure included some orange scented soak in the water and orange slices for fragrance. They took their time with the pedicure which I appreciate. Everything was clean. I will return! read more

I have recently discovered how amazing gel manicures can be. The gel is here to stay for a few weeks without chipping. Over the past couple of months I have also realized how important self care is. This is my second visit here and I couldn't be happier. I texted the shop and was able to come in about 30 minutes later. Super easy. They sent me a text with my appointment time and I was all set. I went with a simple purple gel manicure. During your appointment your handed a basket full of color samples. They had plenty of choices in every color imaginable. Shop is COVID friendly. They have up little barriers between you and your manicurist. They also have barriers between customers. Masks are required. Cash only right now. Located at Knott and Orange with plenty of store front parking. The lot also has a tea shop and a teeny tiny grocery store. Service is friendly. Shop was clean and comfortable. Prices are too hood to be true. I will be back in a couple of weeks. I am a fan. Support your local shop. read more

I have came here for my pedicure a few times and usually get good service however today I wasn't very happy as I had changed my mind on my color since it wasn't similar to the picture I had shown her and she got upset and told me why didn't I tell her before. I am a very anxious person and don't like to seem like a rude customer I even asked nicely if she can change the color she then handed me the selections again and told me not to change my mind again. Which I think is pretty rude. Also while she was filing my nails she cut me multiple times and I never complained about it again not wanting to be considered the rude client. And my toe nail is hurting very badly. read more

Love going here everyone is so nice, I'm always offered water and never have to wait. I only let Vy do my nails she does an AMAZING job !! Any nail design ive asked her for she's been able to do she can do it all !! On top of my nails I love how my pedicure comes out. Her deluxe pedicures are also AMAZING!! Today's experience will be the reason I keep driving 20 minutes out of my way just to get my nails done. I made an appointment for 11am and walked in at about 10:48am and was immediately warmly greeted and seated by Vy. Kelly got started on the application and shaping of my Gel-X, which was stunning btw, and transferred me over to Vy afterward to finish the design and I am absolutely thrilled with the outcome. It is damn near impossible to find amazing customer service AND impeccable work but I've definitely hit the jackpot here. I received a 10% discount since this was my birthday set and she so sweetly didn't charge me for the jewels. I spent $65 on this set and I'm still mind blown at this price for the work done. Ken, Cassey, Ian, and Cindy -- whoever you go to will give you top notch service. Super meticulous with a crazy amount of attention to detail. You want zero cuticles? Done. Gel X with flowers? Done. Some post-pandemic care? Done. A great time? Done, done, done. I am currently sitting in a chair mid-pedicure writing this review as Ian uses a brush to clean around every single crevice of my toes, sidewalls and all. Wow. I will continue coming to X Bar for all of my nail needs. They have become my new go-to spot for self care. This small business deserves your attention. If i could give this -1000 stars i would! One of the ladies here is so rude, when you ask her to do something she gets mad!!!! I asked her to file the tips of my nails she said no and pulled them out with her fingers! When i asked her for the file so i can do it myself she stopped and said no we'll stop here I'm not going to do your nails And guess what her fingers were sooooo dirty, she wasn't even wearing gloves and walking barefoot! This place was clean including the bathroom and every nail tech was nice. I went in for a full set and a pedicure. Although my pedicure came out nice my left foot was burned from the heat of the paraffin wax. The nail tech did cool the other one off before placing my other foot in the bag of paraffin. My full set came out nice BUT the amount of acrylic that was left on my fingers was bad. I spent 2 days taking it off and my fingers were tender... I was wondering why the techs were trying to push the GelX nails on me but I'm guessing that acrylic is not their forte. I got my full set on Thursday and by Saturday night one had snapped off. Sunday morning another one and by the afternoon my left thumb had two cracks, one on each side. I'm not rough with my nails at all. Not enough acrylic was put on the Apex. All 3 nails snapped off at that same point. This salon was referred to me by my daughter. I would not go back for a full set but maybe for a regular pedicure (no paraffin). I'm so glad I was able to find this place to get a new set of Gel X before my birthday! Great local nail salon that just opened 5 months ago and family-run. Cindy (the owner) did my nails and she works really fast! My Gel X was done under 2 hours compared to other salons that takes at least 2.5 hours. I love how the design and colors came out! They were able to match the colors of the picture I showed them. Slight miscommunication was I wanted ombre on some nails but got a French tip instead. But Cindy mentioned they ran out of my color and Gel X ombre uses up A LOT of gel. I still love how my nails turned out and how affordable it was! I would definitely be back! read more

I came in to get acrylic nails and I did not have an appointment but I called to ask if I can come around 9am when they open she said yes however she had a client that was coming in at 9am so she would take me in at 9:30am. I still came around 9am as I did not mind waiting. She took me in automatically because her client had canceled last min. I showed her the exact nails I wanted (it was a simple color with medium acrylic and a simple design) and she told me $45 with the gel x. However when I went to wash my hands my boyfriend went to pay and she ended up charging him $60. I told her she said $45 but she said because of the design she had to charge more. Remember that I demonstrated to her exactly what I desired, and she replied with $45. That bothered me and I thought she was being a little stingy by raising her prices because he was paying. read more

Original first set $45-3 week refill and shorten - $50? Idk why but they are nice and see you quickly. The first nail tech did a great job- make sure youre firm abt what you want because the two ladies I got were pushy and want to do it their way. I wanted to try a color and when I tried it and didnt like the color, then she said she told me before I tried it that I wouldnt like it... but she never said I wouldn't she just needed to say something to prove some kinda point... I wasnt mad even a bit mad so it was weird. Also they try too hard to upsale. Its SUPER ANNOYING! They asked me 10x If I want a pedicure and basically told me I do want one even after saying no so many times. Let me be -I dont want the works. Ok? Very pushy. I love this nail salon place that my friend recommended. I was hesitant to do gel x cause i've been to different nail salon and it all hurts just the same on how they'd cure the gel and the fake nail to your real nails but surprisingly the one who made my nails, she did it beautifully! I showed her a picture of what I wanted for my nail design and she did exactly the same and i'm so happy with the results. The reason why I gave it 4 stars cause she kinda bruised my right nail and it bled so much but other than that the place is nice and clean, staff are also nice and good prices as well. I called to schedule an appointment in the morning, and they could add me in for a manicure service at 5 pm on the same day, and they are on time! The salon was calm and quiet, although the staff was all busy with customers on a Friday evening. Vy did an amazing job, genuinely care for my nails, and recommend ointment treatment for my dry hands. My nails have never looked better or felt healthier, and I can't recommend them enough! I move to this area not long ago, and I've found a go-to dependable professional nail salon with a fair price close to my house after searching and trying different salons nearby. Came here as a walk in as soon as they opened. Vy was very sweet and took me and my mom and niece. The shop was very clean and organized. Mimi and Kim were sooooo amazing with the pedicures. Vy was very detailed oriented and made sure my nails were even and straight. I highly recommend the GelX so much better then a full set. Their spa packages are worth it if you need some extra loving on the feet. I will definitely come back. read more

Today I went here for the first time. Everyone was friendly. The salon is clean and well kept which I loved. My nails turned out exactly how I wanted them to and she did them so quickly.
