I ordered a 6-inch mini pizza with unlimited toppings ($9.19). I got it with spicy tomato sauce, five meats, four cheeses, 11 vegetables and a balsamic fig glaze finishing sauce. It came out very fast. (It's a very thin-crust pizza, so it bakes fast.) Some of the toppings conflicted with others--my fault for overdoing the unlimited toppings. I went on Friday 5/16 with my toddler and ordered two 11" pizzas. One for myself and one for my toddler. My toddler's pizza had 3 toppings, black olives, ham and bacon. My pizza is irrelevant because I shared a slice of hers as well as a lemonade. Literally, 3 hours after we shared her pizza, she projectile vomited uncontrollably. Maybe two hours later, after settling her, I became violently ill for 3 consecutive nights. Something either in the pizza or lemonade was unsanitary and unclean resulting in our illness because those were the ONLY two items we both shared right before we got sick. read more

Oh, my! the cauliflower crust pizza was fabulous. It was crisp and held up to all the toppings. I had spicy red sauce with artichokes, mushrooms, black, olives, feta cheese it was delicious! We also had another pizza for my husband on the regular crust. He loved his as well. He had artichokes, mushrooms, black, olives, garlic, basil, with a spicy red sauce. What can I say there wasn't any left over! We shared a mod size salad with all of our favorites in it. That's the thing I love about Mod Pizza is you can customize everything to be exactly what you want. Very decent customizable pizza for a good price. It is very easy to order online for pickup, which is what we usually do. I love the variety of toppings including vegan sausage and vegan cheese that they do not charge extra for. That's a real plus in my books. Most places add an extra $2-$4 for vegan options. It's easy to go overboard with toppings so I like to limit mine to 3 or 4. A weird thing they've been doing lately is cooking the arugula into the pie, which is a little gross, but hopefully they fix that. I would also recommend trying their thicker dough if you like crust. You're not going to get a fancy brick oven pizza with nice char. But if you are craving a decent pizza and want to customize the toppings without overpaying, give MOD a try! read more

I really dug the unique (to me, anyway) setup for ordering. Basically, you pay for the size of the crust and the toppings a free (or something like that). S. o the three if us ordered 2 different versions of The Dominic and a large Caesars Salad. The salad was crisp and fresh and the pizzas were good, with crunchy crust (you pick the condiments on your pizza, they slide in an already to temperature oven and they were ready in like 10 minutes). Once the staff found out it was our first time there, they upped their already good customer service to excellent as they handled our order. Military discount plus they had cool stickers; I was a happy camper! We had the MOD No-Cake for dessert, like an elevated Ho-Ho cake! Went on Saturday, July 12th at 5pm to the Wetmore location. Disrespectful young kid in baseball cap. Knows nothing about customer service nor how to respect elder customers. A reflection of poor upbringing from their parents! They think they're talking to a 5 year old. Also mumbled disrespectful comments under his breath. Called on Monday, July 11th to speak to the so-called general manager Ben. Apparently his parents did a poor job in raising him. Usually this location is awesome but today they fell SO short. My thick crust pizza was all crust with all toppings in the center of the pizza. I paid extra for mushrooms and didn't see the extra. Staff was nice but oh man, the food was not good. Pizza had about 2 inches of crust. Not much cheese or sauce either. Undercooked as well. But what really got me was the salad and dressing. The lettuce was wet and a tad slimy to begin with and the balsamic dressing we got on the side tasted rotten and fermented. Sadly couldn't eat the salad because I had poured the dressing on it before realizing. I used to work at the MOD in Oro Valley so I'm very familiar with how everything should taste and be made. For $35 plus a tip I was pretty disappointed. I was blown away at how fast and efficient the service is here. The restaurant is clean, and the staff is super friendly. There's plenty of parking in the parking lot as well. Each pizza is made to order specifically for each customer. You can pick as many toppings as you want, and it's still one set price. I ordered the gluten-free crust and added the butter garlic olive oil, cheese, spinach, chicken sausage, mushrooms, and pesto drizzle. WOW! My husband and I ate here tonight. First time. We were skeptical to go in but were looking for a place that made pizza like our old hang-out in Dallas called California Pizza Kitchen. So we ventured in and gave it a shot. The salad was fresh (Caesar) and both of our Pizza's were excellent. I had a Mod cheese pizza with extra cheese & my husband got the Mod Calexico pizza easy on the hot sauce, no red sauce and subbed chicken for the sausage. The food came out fast and we ate every bite! Before I left I also got their version of a ding dong and it was good. They even had Blue Moon on draft and wine, which we ordered and were cold & good. So all in all I would recommend this Mod Pizza. Oh, and the staff was really nice!! One more thing, I noticed people who were picking up orders some of them had to have their pizza's redone. Just an FYI, this place is like Chipotle. Best to order what you want & see them make it. Personally, I wouldn't order a pizza from this business without going in and telling them what I wanted on the pizza. And it comes out fast so why not wait a few minutes and get it right and hot! This is the Subway of pizza, except, with much better food, and much better service. I came here on a busy Sunday night. The place was crowded with people, yet I received my order fairly quickly. The way this place works is that you choose to make a pizza however you want, and they cook it for you on a conveyor belt and box it so you can either take it home or eat it in the restaurant. They also have dessert pizzas and garlic bread as well. The atmosphere here is very positive, which makes it an enjoyable place to visit. I will definitely be back again! read more

I love salad! In fact I'm probably a salad (snob!) connoisseur. This place cooks up a marvelous salad. The best part of all is that you can pick one of their base salads like Greek or Italian, and as they make the salad while you're standing in front of the counter, you can add anything you want at no additional cost. How can anything be wrong with that! And the best part is it tastes so fresh and good. Furthermore, I didn't care for the dressing so I asked for a different one. Once I sat down and tasted it it was too salty for me and I asked at the counter if they had anything less salty. The gentleman behind the counter was so kind... But he came back out to the table with a tahini herb dressing that they had just created saying it had less salt. It was absolutely marvelous; and I believe he was right it didn't taste very salty. 4+ Stars My tastes and opinion of MOD Pizza has changed. I guess it has since I am the Duke of MOD Pizza. (And if you read my previous review, I've changed my view on Pionic Pizza, too.) I really like their pizza and it runs a very tight second to Blaze Pizza. Pionic has dropped out of the running. It has been my experience that their pizza seems to be a little soggy in the middle of the crust. I just tried MOD's "Mega Crust." I must say that it was mighty good. This is their version of a thick crust. They don't have quite the variety of drinks that Blaze Pizza has, but it is adequate. Their salads are H.U.G.E.! I recommend that you buy one and split it with someone. Really, they are that big. You both will have PLENTY of salad. I go here because they have excellent pizza and they are only 10 minutes away as opposed to the 25 minute drive to Blaze Pizza. But if and when Blaze opens up on this side if town, watch it! 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Tucson-top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. This MOD Pizza location my family has found to be hands down the superior one. The pizzas are constructed with care and love, the ingredients seem very fresh and the ambience is perfect for relaxing and enjoying eating your 'creation'. Also you never have to wait very long at all for the pizza to be ready. The staff is extremely friendly with excellent attitudes. On the last several visits I was assisted by Alina, she had such a wonderful personality and positive attitude, I felt very pampered by her and the pizzas were better than ever, just the perfect amount of ingredients placed perfectly so each bite was as good as the next! MOD was one of our go to places up until tonight. My girlfriend ordered a very clearly vegan pizza for pickup (all veggies, vegan sausage, and dairy free cheese). When we got the pizza home and she ate a slice, she realized that they had put bacon all over the pizza. Not even just a few pieces. The entire pizza was covered. That's either the most careless mistake or someone being malicious. NONE of the vegan ingredients are anywhere near the bacon. Even the veggie sausage is near the vegetables.
