I was in town for business and decided on mod pizza for dinner. There was a new guy there who i had the unfortunate interaction with. I ordered a build-your-own creation and he was basically questioning 'are you sure?' for some of my topping choices. Yes the HELL i am sure of what i want on my own damn pizza! I guess he didn't like being told what to do? Tough shit you're in the wrong line of work then. At the end when i had asked for extra mozz as topping, new guy was basically just tossing it at my pizza. Deducting stars as new guy ruined my mood with his unnecessary irritable attitude from the beginning. Don't get me wrong, i love mod and i order it as much as i can in my hometown. Pizza was good, service needs more coaching on good customer service. Dont question the requested toppings, just do it. If i end up not liking it then thats on me, duh! read more

Great build your own pizza joint. There are preconfigured classic pizza recipes you can choose from, but you are also free to add more ingredients to those recipes or create your own. I ordered a Mad Dog which is basically an all meat pizza w pepperoni, sausage, beef, cheese and sauce. I added jalapeños and roasted garlic and some extra pepperoni. Wife got a spinach and pepperoni pizza. When they say it's fast, they mean fast. Both pizzas were out less than 5min after ordering. Here is what I love about the pizza here, and that is the crust. It is thin crust, but while it is crispy, it is also still chewy. Some thin crust pizzas are burned to a crisp. Not here. Ingredients were all very fresh and service is fast with a smile. We will definitely be back. read more

First time here with my husband. The atmosphere is relaxed and modern...a nice change from the hole in the wall pizza chains in other cities. We ordered individual pizzas (Mad dog & Dillon James) and garlic strips. They gave us the option of extra toppings at no charge. The entire experience was pleasant. It wasn't the best thin crust we've had... but we will be back for another slice (or two) read more

Best pizza because 1. You make it yourself and 2. The staff is so friendly! 3. Cheap prices! 4.They have vegan and gluten-free options! But the best part of it all is on Tuesdays they have $2 local drafts all day! can't find a better deal in town! MOD on! read more

There's several build your own pizza spots in Reno and the ONLY one I've ever come back to is Mod. I've been going since I moved here in 2018 for college and quite literally have yet to have a bad experience there. Consistency is something I always look for in my favorite places to eat, and Mod has never fallen short. I've always gotten the same kind of pizza, improving it over the years and it's always been cooked to perfection! Compared to other spots, their ingredients are much higher quality and way fresher. The dough is freshly made and if they don't take the sauce and toppings edge to edge (which I ask for) it actually puffs up nicely. This is thanks to the pizza being made in a fire brick oven rather than an electric pizza oven. The service is always on point when I come and I never feel rushed or stressed about making my pizza on the spot. It's never too busy and I find myself the first in line most times because they're just that efficient. The place is always clean and feels lively like a pizza spot should! They offer fountain drinks, their own teas as well as wine and beers. Not to mention it's insanely affordable for the amount of food you can get. And DON'T forget to grab a No Name Cake for dessert! I don't know how I've gone so many years without giving them their well earned 5 stars. Will be back (as usual)! read more

I love mod pizza but am leaving upset as the service was trash. The girl with green ends on her hair seemed to have an attitude. My mom asked for extra spinach and the girl made it seem like it was a hassle for her to do that. The same employee later handed me my pizza when it was done in a nice tone. Once my moms was done she had an attitude again and slapped the peppers we asked for on my moms pizza box. I will not be getting food from here as often! read more

These guys are so quick. They're like the Jimmy Johns of pizzas. You can make any pizza your imagination can conjure up in the time it takes you to think of it. The toppings are tasty and fresh! The staff and ambiance are upbeat. The prices are good. If you like building your own pizza, give those folks a try. read more

I love MOD pizza! The staff is always SO friendly and helpful. I've been her twice now and once in Alameda. Love that they keep up the integrity with a chain restaurant. Fresh delicious toppings, tasty crust, great price is a winner in my book. Try the little mama's sweet hot peppers they add the perfect kick. I only get a few but it really makes it! My favorite is a make your own with red sauce, arugula, basil, garlic, mozzarella, then mild sausage, artichoke hearts, mushrooms, a few red onion rings, black olives and a few of the little mamas hot peppers. Then lots of ricotta and a swirl of garlic oil. HOLY COW! SO GOOD! Then get a side of the balsamic date reduction at pick up. Great to dap some on for some sweetness every 3rd bit or so. Thank goodness it's not closer I'd go all the time. Great salads too, add all the goodies like fried kale and roasted cauliflower! Seems like they make everything in house too like the dressings and sauces. Don't forget to try the flavored lemonade made with fresh fruit. LOVE IT! read more

Ridiculously overpriced and the white sauce on my pizza was disgusting. Also super small portion sizes. read more

MOD Pizza - This TINY pizza was $11 - Fast Food Near Me - Reno, Nevada

Came in for a quick bite and was greeted with amazing service! Rad decorations with tons of booths and tables, a simple and easy ordering process. You start at one end and go along a line adding different toppings. They do have dairy free cheese and a great variety of veggies and meats. They do have beer and wine available. I had the mini pizza ($6) which is perfect for a small meal and it looks so cute! Waited about 5 mins and my pizza was ready! They also have outside seating. Thank you to the morning lunch crew on Sunday! Super friendly and helpful! read more

Really friendly staff, clean bright dining area, and fun atmosphere. I enjoy the trend of the quickfire personal pizzas popping up in town. Mod offers personalized pizza, salads, nice selection of bottled and on tap beverages including beer, and a yummy chocolate cake puck thing. The crust is thin and crisp, but lacking interesting taste or texture, I like my crusts thin but with a little chew. The toppings are abundant in selection and they are happy to add more or less of whatever you choose, but I felt the quality on some of the items was not really high. Overall it's ok, but not my first pick for personalized pizzas. Still, inexpensive, quick, and friendly. read more

Awesome, fast friendly place. Fun place to get a great individualized pizza with everything YOU want and they even have some recommendations if ya can't think on how to create your own masterpiece of scrumptiousness!! Don't forget the little chocolate cream filled cake read more

Build your own pizza. The mod size pizza is over $8 and I usually can't finish it all, so it's a good price for the size. Multiple base sauces to choose from and meats, veggies, cheeses, etc. Then you can choose a dipping sauce for no extra charge. I like that the crust is thin. The picture is mod size, pesto sauce, extra cheese, ricotta cheese, pepperoni, spicy sausage, bacon, garlic, olives and dry spices. So good. It's fun for kids too cause they can create their own pizza. read more

We've been here four times so far, and I can't get tired of this place! Building a custom pizza is super fun! And they have a lot of healthy options! I've continued to get gluten free crust (must get 11"), vegan cheese, roasted kale, and spinach on my pizza! While mixing up the other toppings every time! The employees at MOD Reno are so kind. They are friendly as they build your pizza, and even though it's fast-food style, they have employees circling around checking on every table! Seriously some of the best service in Reno. The pizzas are amazing, but so are desserts! We've had the cinnamon strips twice, with the cinnamon glaze and strawberry sauces. Both are delicious! And their lemonades! So delicious!!! Reno was definitely needing a place like this in a central location. I'm obsessed! read more

"One price" covers all, pick toppings without worry about extra cost, build your own, including salads, fast cooking times. Very affordable: $5.46 mini, $8.47 medium, $11.47 mega. Had the olive oil and garlic, so good! Lots of healthy options on their drink dispensers: lemonade, blackberry lemonade, iced and sweet tea and a Carmel pear iced tea. Love that they have Mike's hot honey (if you haven't tried it before you are missing out). Also, this ding-dong sort of thing that was mad good. read more

Came here for a quick lunch and it worked out perfect! We ordered the Dominic and Jaspar along with a salad. I was not disappointed. The district manager was there and walked around making sure everyone was taken care of. He talked with us for a bit and we had a nice little conversation. Great customer service. Everything about this place was on point. Great location with plenty of parking. Oh, and extra toppings do not cost extra!! read more

I actually crave this pizza now. I love the idea of ordering a crust size, then adding as many toppings as you'd like...all for one, reasonable price. The same goes for the salads...pick out whatever you'd like to add to either spinach, iceberg, romaine, or a mix of lettuce then pile on the toppings and choose your dressing. Enter the queue to the right of the door and browse the "classic" menu while you wait for your turn. You can either choose one of their suggestions, or just wing it once you get to the front of the line. I chose The Caspian on this visit; BBQ sauce, mozzarella, red onions, grilled chicken, and Gorgonzola. I added roasted garlic and pineapple. (Because pineapple rocks on pizza!) The swirl of BBQ sauce added after my pizza the oven was the perfect finish and made this delicious concoction picture perfect. The noise level is a bit high, but despite having to talk loudly to take your order the staff are super friendly, upbeat, and helpful. Update: This place still rocks. Im watching my carbs, so it's all about the salads...but they'll load it up with all the toppings you want, so it's a total win! Three cheers for MOD pizza! read more

This place is a game changer. Their pizza is fantastic. Their selection is vast. Their staff set the standard for enthusiasm and customer service. I don't usually write reviews, but I was so blown away by this place I felt it was the least I could do to show appreciation for such a bomb lunch. The whole Chipotle/Qdoba feel to the ordering process totally changes the pizza game. Being able to watch your personal pizza made like Papa Murphy's and then having it cooked for you makes this the perfect lunch stop. I'm not sure I'll be eating at any different pizza places for the foreseeable future. read more

MOD Pizza - 11inch, white sauce, chicken, bacon, black olives, mushrooms, spinach, artichoke hearts, and a ranch drizzle. - Fast Food Near Me - Reno, Nevada

We stopped here for lunch because a friend recommended it. What a joke. The staff looked like they would rather be any where but there. The floors and booths were dirty. The bathrooms were disgusting. Toilet was gross. No soap. Definitely WON'T Be Returning. read more

My daughter and I decided to try Mod Pizza for lunch. The experience was great!! The staff was friendly and helpful, and although there was somewhat of a line, it moved quickly and we were served within minutes. They let us do a custom pizza on each side of the 11 inch pie. On one side we got red sauce with pepperoni, sausage, bacon, mushrooms, red bell pepper, jalapenos, onion, and anchovies. However, they told us they would add the anchovies later. On the othe side we got white sauce with chicken, bacon, onions, mushrooms, and artichoke hearts. We also got a large drink. They have a lemonade called Marron Blackberry Lemonade that is sweet and delicious. It took about 10 minutes for our pizza to arrive. However, when we got our pizza, it did not have any anchovies on it. When we got our pizza we also get ranch, sriracha ranch (sri-rancha), and barbeque sauce on the side as dipping sauces. The pizza was very delicious! We preferred the red sauce over the white and our favorite dipping sauce was the sri-rancha. We will definitely be returning!! read more

First...omg, the smell is wonderful when you walk in! Smell's like homemade goodness. Mmmmmm....yummy....I love that! Now, the pizza....my my my! For under $10 you get an 11" pizza with unlimited toppings. I mean seriously, how can they afford that? Obviously by volume...and let me tell you, there's a reason there's a long line! It's a great value. Win win for them as well the customers. The decor is also really cool. Lot's of local pictures cover the walls, I really enjoyed checking them out. So...my senses were tickled. Smell, sight and taste...on point. A little loud in there though so unless you enjoy crowds get it for takeout! I'm impressed. read more

MOD is the best build your own pizza type restaurant by far. I've been to other places and the quality of your pizza stands out incredibly. The crust is better, prices are better and the staff is friendlier and motivated to do well. You get an 11" pie with unlimited toppings of your choice. The salads (yes they also have salads) are three different size choices and are unlimited toppings as well. The atmosphere is casual, relaxing and fun. I really enjoyed dining here. The managers also came around to everyone at the tables asking how everything is and if there was anything we need. I love when managers do that! They also serve beer and wine if you like with a bunch of different types depending on your mood that day. Keep up the good work MOD team! read more

Working near MOD Pizza, and a coworker recommended them. Their website, super easy-to the point, interface. I ordered my build-your-own pizza. Very reasonably priced. They quoted 15 min, and pick up for curbside. I called at 10 min, he said he would be right out! LOVE THAT! Pizza dough; perfectly done. I'll take a picture, next time... but I ate the entire pizza. It was delicious. Well done, MOD pizza! Great product, done faster than expected, beautifully priced, and friendly and considerate staff!!! read more

Okay, I have to be honest, I almost peed my pants when I found out Mod was coming to Reno. I'd only been to Mod one other time (down in San Jose) and I've been to chains that are similar down in the Bay Area. However, this place was as good - if not better - than the store in San Jose. Pizzas are basically unlimited toppings - something that I'm probably not going to test, as I'm pretty much a pepperoni guy. However, the prices are excellent for what you get. Only drawback is that the price for a small soda is a bit obscene (2.50 of I recall correctly) considering I can get a 32 ounce soda for 89 cents at Sam's Club. Other nice thing is that they're a member of the Rewards Network, which means that I receive airline miles when I dine in the store. read more

MOD is one of my favorite spots for meals of all time!! I love pizza SO much and it's hard for me to find options due to my being allergic to dairy. MOD is completely accommodating and I can always have my pizza EXACTLY as I prefer it and I don't have to get sick to eat it! They also have delicious different sorts of lemonades and canned wine, if you like a drink. It's fantastic and convenient and I can't say enough good things!! Covid rules are also strictly enforced, which makes me feel safe, and you have the option to have your food brought out right to your car! Yay MOD! read more

Well I was not as blown away as I was hoping to be. Reminded me of ordering a sandwich from Subway. Kind of interesting. I like the idea to be able to build your own pizza. I was not wowed by it though. A lot of staff behind the counter and kind of noisy. I will go back and try different variations though. I think it was the staple of the crust that just was not as impressive as other places. read more
