One of them was supposed to be pepperoni and chicken. Instead, it arrived with ginger and garlic, an odd and completely off-putting combo for a pizza. I double-checked the online order and realized the mistake was mine. I had accidentally selected the wrong toppings. I owned that. I wasn't trying to scam anyone or dodge responsibility. But when I asked if they could remake the pizza or offer a partial refund, they flat-out refused. No empathy. No flexibility. Just a cold "no." Not even a gesture of goodwill like a discount on a future order or a small credit. I wasn't asking for the world, just a little understanding. And that's where this place failed miserably. Let me be clear: I understand that restaurants aren't obligated to fix customer mistakes. But good businesses choose to do the right thing anyway. They recognize that $25 isn't worth losing a loyal customer. They understand that how you treat people in moments like this defines your brand far more than the food ever could. I told them I'd be doing a chargeback and never ordering again. Not because of the pizza, but because of the way they handled the situation. If I owned a restaurant, I'd remake that pizza in a heartbeat. Not because I had to, but because I'd want that customer to come back. That's how you build trust. That's how you build legacy. So here's my warning to anyone considering this place: if you ever have an issue, whether it's your fault or theirs, don't expect compassion. Don't expect accountability. And don't expect them to care about your experience once they've got your money. This wasn't just bad service. It was a missed opportunity to do right by someone who was honest, respectful, and willing to pay for quality. They chose short-term profit over long-term reputation. And that says everything. Until they rectify this, I will no longer be their customer again, sadly, in a small town like this, where customer loyalty is everything. That kind of disregard doesn't just lose a sale. It loses trust. And once that's gone, it's hard to earn back.

For cheap, unhealthy pizza that fails to fill you up, COME TO MOD. Because the food is served on a line in front of people, it has to be precooked, frozen or canned aka ready to eat. My opinion, you shouldn't be able to market yourself as organic and healthy when you take something from a can to my pie. The workers seem stressed and unhappy and personally, seeing even a bit of that ruins you "wanna-be Dutch Bros" feel. When i came to the manager, Josh, with my complaint about the burnt crust. He said something along the lines of "they all look burnt, that's how our pizza stone cooks it." He looked 10 times more stressed than the workers and ran off after I made my complaint. Honestly he came off like a real a**hole to me. My pizza was burnt, you could taste the ash. I wouldn't even pay $8 for that junk. the center of my pizza was floppy and the edges were black. With Mod being a new business, I guess you should expect inexperienced kids cooking your food. Mod needs to stop trying to pass as the "hip new healthy and cheap pizza" and start marketing what it actually is, loud and unhappy workers, cheap and unhealthy pizza, and rude management. If i could give this place 0 stars I would, but the lemonade was decent when watered down so I guess that earns a star. read more

Update: I recently revisited the pizza place after multiple disappointing online orders where they missed my hot honey and tomato sauce, and the pizza was undercooked despite my requests for it to be extra crispy. This time, I ordered in person, and the experience was significantly better. I had to keep an eye on my pizza and ask for it to be cooked longer, but the staff was friendly and accommodating, ensuring it was exactly how I liked it - perfectly crisp with no sogginess or burnt spots. The toppings were just right, not overwhelming like before. I'm glad I gave them another chance, but I'll stick to in-person orders since they seem to get it right when you're there to oversee. I do think they should consider cooking all pizzas a bit longer to ensure that crisp everyone loves. read more

I love this place so much! Good quality ingredients good quality gluten-free crust just good quality everything. The only way this place could get five stars for me however is if they became more conscious of the gluten-free stuff so that people that I love and care about can eat there as well Gluten-free it isn't just about ingredients for some people and I think that if they became more aware of it and would keep separate equipment for The gluten-free items it would make things a lot easier for those who have celiac or gluten intolerances. Manager Alert: Aman at Pizza Guys / Calzone Life…read more Aman (A-M-A-N) is the manager at Pizza Guys in Redding, CA--a business also operating under the name Calzone Life on Uber Eats and other delivery platforms. They do this to distance themselves from the terrible reviews under their original name. And I can see why. As a Level 8 Google Local Guide--the only one in Redding, by the way--I've reviewed thousands of businesses around the world. Tonight, I had a simple ask: a few extra sauces for my order. I tried to pay through DoorDash, but the platform wouldn't allow the add-on. Instead of helping, Aman chose to be rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Ellie, on the other hand, the young lady who answered the phone, was kind, respectful, and handled everything perfectly. She deserves a raise. Aman? He's the problem. And businesses with people like him in charge will suffer--maybe not immediately, but eventually. Especially when they try to cover up bad reviews by hiding behind alternate names. To the owners: if you've got a cancer in the business, cut it out before it spreads. Fire Aman.

I've just gone through major surgery so eating a pizza is a treat I can have once in a while and must be thin crust! It's been a while, about a month or so since I got food here but I decided to give them a second chance. BIG MISTAKE!!!!I I also ordered a chicken Ceasar salad for my girlfriend and they managed to screw that up too and forgot to include the dressing. So I called back to rectify this and the pizza situation and someone answered the phone so I asked who I was speaking to but they refused to give a name or even acknowledge me. After asking several times who I was speaking they still refused to say anything Kinda like they knew who I was and realized they screwed everything up with my order. I recommend that NO ONE patronize this place because they will absolutely screw up the orders and over charge you as well as being TOTALLY RUDE OVER THE PHONE!! I gave one star because that is the lowest score it would let me score and I couldn't score it any lower. The woman owner was really rude as well and actually told me to stop talking when I tried to explain to her what the problem was with the pizza and the salad etc. They reluctantly refunded $5 for the lack of any dressing for the Ceasar salad but nothing for the GIANT SCREW UP on the pizza. I predict that this business won't BE in business for long. Hopefully not long at all so a righteous new owner can come in and provide a better business service because these guys don't have a clue about customer service or preparing food! Do NOT eat here or go here unless you like being treated really bad like the crap food they provide here. Never again!!
